Vex gets a new notification for a quest up her in the north from her flock and she decided that it was in her interest to go and keep up her hard work to keep the Eternal Nightmare name going so that they keep raising their terror level across Fiore and she was going to make sure she spread the word of Tutrix her goddess as well. She had a feeling that there might be a soul she will find in need of rescuing on this one as well so that was two birds with one stone that she could take care of and see where it took her from there. She approached the quest givers manner and they look to her from an upper window and they ended up greeting her at the door the woman seems happy to allow Vex to take on this quest and to show what she has got that she can end up doing to help them. The woman tells a tell of rats and other things coming in from the sewers below her shop and she was in dire need to help them.

The woman also spoke of hearing a voice crying for help from the sewer as well but she thinks that it is a trap and it is the rats learning to mimic human like sounds for help and Vex wonders if this was a sign from Tutrix and that there might actually be someone in need of her help in the sewers that she can save. Vex accepts the request and her right hands look at her and she smiles to them and they look at her eye that had been gifted a power from their goddess and they were proud that their leader had finally been gifted with such a clear sign from the goddess to keep doing good work for her. They follow along with the woman and Vex can see the place and she gets close to the sewer and she speaks to see if she hears anyone speak back and she can hear a faint very weak voice in the sewer she feels she is right there really is someone down there so the needs to get to them quickly.

Vex gets to the shops door and she opens it and she goes in not wasting any time as her right hands follow along behind her and help her fight off the rats that dared to come toward their leader as the woman tries to find her way around the shop and into the basement which is where these rats were getting in at and she needs to make sure that she can make it before that faint voice gives out and who ever it is dies before she can get to them and she catches a break and she sees a sign that said which way the basement was. He right hands are confused why their leader was acting so recklessly here, but they know that it must be something that Tutrix had in her plan for them to do as Vex had clearly started fighting harder to prove that she could get there in time to help who ever it was.

Vex is firing hails of arrows at the rats as she hadn't the time to waste on taking a steady aim at them and her right hands are worried about how much mana their leader is using this fast and they tell her to back up and let them handle it and Vex pulls out her dagger and she fights alongside her female right hand as she was not going to stand back and just watch she is going to help save this soul rather she gets hurt or not as that voice sounded like it was nearly out of hope and belief of being saved. She couldn't allow that to happen and she was not going to spare even a second to risk that happening as she carved rats with her female right hand as chains whipped past them at the rats. Vex had no fears of her right hands accidently hurting her in the cross fire of attacks as she stayed light on her feet and she trusted her right hands to be able to take on the world with her.

They had made it to the stairs and they see the spot in the wall where the rats had broken into the basement through and they make a b-line for the path way to enter the sewers as they keep fighting and Vex calls out to the voice to speak again as her right hands defend her as she listens with her eyes closed and she hears it the other way that lead away from the rat's nest and she looked conflicted for a second then she tells her right hands to go ahead and she would go to the voice and help them then she would catch up to them as soon as she could. The agreed with Vex and they smiled seeing that she has not let her heart turn cold and they fight hard while she runs down the sewer tunnel toward where she was hearing the voice come from and she hurried out into a dead end where she finds an exceed that is beat up and starving and clearly on her last legs and Vex gets her up out of the sewer water she was struggling to stay above and vex starts healing the exceed and she gives it water and snacks from a pack she had on the back of her hip and she tells her to eat and drink slowly.

The exceeds clothes are torn and clearly ruined she looked like she had been abandoned by someone but it was clear that this exceed was going to need to recover and Vex gently opens the portal to her domain and lets the exceed into it with more food and water that way it can take it's time to recover then she closed the portal to keep the exceed safe and as it closed it looked like the exceed had started to cry with happiness of being saved. Vex smiles and she hurries to go and help her right hands as she can hear that they are fighting and taking care of business and she draws her bow and she jumps around a corner firing arrows rapidly and she was hitting targets like crazy and her right hands were glad that she has shown up when she did they were starting to get over whelmed by the amount of rats that was coming at them as they got closer to the root of the issue and the leader of the rats. Her right hands are breathing heavily and Vex starts healing them and helping them recover some, so that they can keep going forward with her.

Once they had gotten their feet back under them they started forward once again to help take out the rats. They ask about the voice and Vex tells them what it was, and that she might need some extra care and she was going to find out who had abandoned that sweet girl like that. They get closer to the next and they slow down a bit and try to get sight on the rats leader in the sewers, they weren't having any luck so far and the rats just keep coming for them and they get the rats routed and find their next spot to rest for a moment as Vex cleans off her dagger and she hopes that she can keep this up as she has used a bit to much mana while keeping the domain up for the exceed but she can't give up now she must keep this going and take on this challenge with open arms and a readied weapon.

They come out and the giant rat king is loudly snacking on something, not wasting a second they rush at it and they start releasing their might to try and kill off the rats as well as harm the rat king in the process this was their best shot at this and they keep going and throw their strongest spells and they seem to have the king on his back foot as they keep hitting him and giving him hell and Vex can feel like something was awakening in herself as she kept fighting and she wondered what it was that was growing inside of her what was this new power that she could feel that seemed to keep growing like a flower blossoming in her soul ready to release more power than ever before and she released an arrow that looked strange like it was more than just water but the next arrows were just fully water arrows and she wondered if she had just been seeing things as the rat king fell and she with her right hands left closing off the way in from the sewer and then they go and collect on their pay for the day of hard work.
