With the vampires gone, and in the Erwyr Settlement things, were finally slowing down. It also meant that the group could finally go to Ansem’s castle and finish taking the vampire who started Yuurei’s pain. That was good as it was what he wanted. His mind was focused, but the thrill of fighting was done and the pain he was feeling would start to resonate throughout his body. He still didn’t know why, but there was a devil within him. He was truly cursed as his right hand was bandaged up for all eternity, his right eye changed for the better and now something was dwelling within him that he had no control over. He wasn’t sure what it was, but he would fight it for as long as he could.

Still, now with the vampires cleared, the people who were hiding would slowly come out of the woodwork. They had noticed that Yuurei, Kaito, and Brone were the ones that were within the village. It also meant that they were the ones that had saved them from total death. They had a lot of dead to mourn, but the only thing they could do was be happy that they were alive. The people who died today did so to make sure that they got to hide in time. It was sad, but they knew that the vampires weren’t done just yet. One of the people from the village had started moving to Yuurei.

The berserker was in pain the entire time and he was moving his arm a bit and he was stretching a bit. His body was still fueled with anger for what had happened to Kailani. It was then he would turn to look at the person approaching him and he would stay silent as it looked like they wanted to say something.

“Yuurei, sir. The village had seen a bunch of vampires separate from this group and were heading to Erling Peak. It seems like they wanted the fortresses that the bandits call their home. I don’t know which one they had gone to, but you head there if you are trying to kill all the vampires.” he said to Yuurei.

The Nephilim would hear these words and he would bow slightly as he was glad to hear this from him. He would look at Brone and Kaito with a serious look behind his helmet.

“We make our way to the Peaks and hopefully find the vampires that are headed over there.” He said to them as he would start running off.

He would move through the forest as the trees wouldn’t get in his way, and when he got to his next destination, the search would begin. The first few fortresses would be empty, and not with bandits, but vampires. The bandits were still there, but since they knew who Yuurei was, when they saw the man peek in and then walked away, they would think of it as a sign from god. Still, where could they be, he would hope to find them soon.

Brone Heavyaxe had rushed to Yuurei's side as he saw his friend had collapsed. A false alarm he had guessed when Yuurei had gotten back to his feet. The battle with the vampire raiders had ended so all had fallen silent in the night and the transformations had subsided. The dwarf didn't expect the nephilim would have any sort of trouble, so to hear him cry out that way worried him. Seeing how determined Yuurei was to move on, Brone didn't bother to as him about what happened.

As Yuurei spoke to the informant who had just arrived, Brone had whistled in order to summon Geri; the wolf soon arrived. As he mounted up, he looked over to Kaito to make sure the dragon slayer was alright. His hands seem to have shaken just slightly, but he noticed. There was true concern for his friends; for they were getting ever so closer to Ansem like they did last time. Even though they had gotten much stronger and could comb through the lackies like fodder, the battle with the vampire lord they had experienced had nearly killed them, especially Yuurei.

"Yuurei left" Huginn's voice snapped Brone out of his memories. The ravens were perched on the dwarf's shoulders, waiting for him to ride off.

'Lets go then" Brone said and Geri ran after Yuurei while the ravens flew by his side.

"It won't be the same as last time" Muninn said, for he knew the dwarf was lost in his memories, concerned about the upcoming battle. Brone didn't say anything, too worried and he didn't want to make any sort of promise, nor did he want to say anything pessimistic, so he simply smiled in Muninn's direction.

Brone knew the raven was right, things have changed amongst the group; they were much stronger with new spells, weapons and transformations. Not only that, but they had Kaito, a new player in the game that Ansem had not faced and the dwarf was confident of the red-hair's power. Things were indeed different this time. He had the confidences before, along side the anger of what happened to Kailani, but seeing Yuurei collapse that way had worried him and brought him back to the memory of when he laid dying in the snow after Ansem had left.

"It won't happen again" he said to himself as he sped off into the night after Yuurei.

Eventually, Brone had escaped the thick of the forest and reached the mountainous peeks where ruins and structures were waiting for them. They did what they could and searched through the ruins, but silence greeted them. After the first two, Brone began to hope a vampire ambush would happen so that they could get it over with.

"Patience" Huginn said, and though the raven was right, Brone grunted in irritation at being told to be patient and aggravation that the vampires weren't spotted yet. His fists clenched the reins as he continued to ride, following Yuurei and hoping Kaito was following either by flight or with his Here-and-There magic.

Kaito having also run over to check on Yuurei and seeing he is fine was relieved to see it as he looked around he could see people starting to poke their heads out as this was probably odd to them as three people had just shown up at the same time to protect the place or at least that is the thought that had gone through Kaito’s head as there had just been an attempted slaughter of this place yet the people still approached them and spoke to them so Kaito guessed he had misjudged the fact that they would probably distrust them. He heard the villager speak to Yuurei and he realized they were not afraid of them as they knew Yuurei, Kaito sees Yuurei seeming restless like something else was gnawing at him, Kaito wonders if that thing he saw had anything to do with what Yuurei was feeling right now or if he had only been seeing things from battle fatigue, he knows asking the man would yield little results.

Kaito hears the villager speak of the vampires and the movement that they seemed to be making and he guessed it was time to search out and protect those they should probably be running out of those very places themselves in their spare time. "So we need to save bad guys while fighting bad guys now, this trip just keeps getting stranger and stranger." to think that Kaito had only been in the north to visit his brother and his family and ended up on the backside of a long tiring adventure and he isn't sure how all of this is going to shake out but he knows that he is going to have to keep an eye on Yuurei and support him if this all goes side ways. Kaito knows if this all goes sideways and this ends up in some kind of fight to the death vs some huge monster Kaito will make sure that Yuurei and Brone survive it even if that means that he himself would perish in exchange as he knows the world needs these two in it.

Kaito follows behind them Revy still stalking behind him even though Kaito had tried to keep her safe but he knows that she is not one to just back down and go home but he liked that about her as she was devoted and it meant that she was going to be with him through the thick and the thing though that makes Kaito wonder if Renji was also looming around or if he had listened to Yuurei and stayed put some where unlike his own head strong exceed that was a die hard companion and was not going to just listen to an order she doesn't see as right.

Kaito looked around as they wandered out of the forest and he looked up toward the mountains and he wonders if dwarves would live in this area or not as this looked like a well protected area or if the bandits had run them off as well, but it was their job to save the bandits here today from the vampires when really it would make more sense to Kaito to just let the vampires kill off the bandits or the bandits kill off the vampires themselves but in this moment Yuurei wasn't probably gonna let that happen so he figures that he is going to have to help them even if Kaito was not inclined to be helping them as bandits have a very bad reputation in this area anyways but they were indeed going toward them one by one Kaito keeping himself semi-ready but not enough to set off a group of bandits that where in that moment feeling froggy or trigger happy.

On his trip to Erling Peak, he had taken in what his friends asked. He would take his helmet off and he would smile at them.

“I’m fine. I’m not sure what that was, but it seems to have failed its attempt to possess me.” He said to them as he would go back to his serious facial expression.

Yuurei would put the helmet back on as they were still looking. The fortress and ruins they would head to would show no signs of vampires. It was interesting, but they had to keep searching. The Nephilim wasn’t going to allow them to escape and he was going to let Ansem know that he was coming for him. He had attacked his guild, harmed the people of the north, and killed his beloved friend. It was a straw that he was not going to back from.

He knew the guys would see that it was foolish to save the bandits, but that wasn’t what he was doing. He just wanted to kill the vampires and if it meant that some of the bandits would live then so be it. His thoughts were overloading, so he shook his head as he looked on ahead. It was something he would keep doing until he heard screaming and fighting off from the distance. It would bring him to stop and he could hear the sound of weapons clashing, and magic being upon the battlefield.

Yuurei had a smirk on his face as it seemed they had found what they were looking for. The berserker would run in that direction, the noise getting louder and his body shaking more. He wasn’t sure if it was excitement or exhaustion, but he shrugged it off as he kept moving. The Nephilim would close the distance and there he would see the bandits there getting slaughtered.

They seemed to have been doing their best, but it seemed like the vampires that were there, were too strong. He would shake his head as he looked around to see if he could find the leader of this group. He would find him as it would seem like he was untouchable and Yuurei could only shake his head.

“I will…” He stumbled forward as he shook his head as he chuckled.

It seemed like the last fight he had, did a number on him. He would crack his neck as he looked over to Kaito.

“Do you think you can handle him Kaito? I’m not at a hundred percent right now.” He said to his friend as he pointed at the vampire he was talking about.

He would look over to Brone and then look over to the minions fighting the bandits.

“Let’s take them out. If the bandits attack you don’t hold back.” He said to Brone as he would do his best to regain his composure.

He knew with the vampire minions, he wouldn’t have to be at full capacity to take them on, but could he continue on with this battle with Ansem without taking the break they needed? He wasn’t sure, but he would try.

The night seemed to have gone on forever. Since they began their trek across the land to defeat the vampires, it was one battle after another. Brone was glad that he and his companions had the stamina to get this quest done. The amount of vampires they had faced were brought down like fodder, but the vast amount worried the dwarf, knowing that they were all servants of Ansem who waited for them in his damn castle like he did last time.

"What makes you think that he would be within a castle-like mansion like before?" Muninn asked.

"Narcissists usually keep to such living environments; he has no reason to give up on his castle" Huginn pointed out.

Didn't matter to Brone whether Ansem was within his castle or in a cardboard box, for he and his friends intended to defeat him this time for sure. But even with his confidence, the dwarf felt the shiver as he remembered the utter defeat they had suffered last time.

Eventually the group closed in an a fortressed where the sound of battle rang into the air. Yuurei's movement changed and sped off. Brone reacted the same way; he snapped the reigns, pushing Geri's speed. Finally after covering a great distance, they had found the next nest of vampires.

"Seems vampires are engaged in a battle with the local bandits" Huginn had went ahead to scout the skirmish before returning to report to the dwarf.

"Are you going to be rescuing bandits for a change?" Muninn joked.

"If they don't get caught by my return swing, then I suppose so" Brone scoffed. He was intending on swinging his mighty weapons wildly and didn't care if the bandits were caught in the crossfire.

When Brone finally arrived at the courtyard of the fortress remains to see a large battle royal, the dwarf dismounted and allowed Geri to run off, avoiding the battle and the raven took to the sky like before. One of the vampires was about to sink his teeth into a poor bandit but was interrupted by Brone's golden axe which slammed into the side of his head and sent him flying, releasing the bandit from his clutches.

"Thanks" the bandit had faced his savior with relief upon his face, but realizing he was in the presence of the well known white haired dwarf donning golden armor and a golden axe, he knew that victory was nowhere in his future, the situation simply got more complicated.

Kaito looked around and he didn't really see the point in them fighting to save the bandits from their incoming doom. Kaito knows that they are not all bad but in this world the darkness doesn't choose which one is more deserving of death and corruption if they are good or not but Kaito guessed he had very little choice in this matter and he can hear someone as well as well as feel them watching him and he then hears Yuurei asking if he will handle the man and then Kaito sees them as they had a very strange aura as well as a smirk on their face and their eyes looking like they were laser focused on Kaito and he wonders where this guy came from and why the fuck he is staring at Kaito. Kaito agrees that he will take on the man that was looking at him to one on one combat.

The man and Kaito go off to the inner parts of the fortress to fight it out. "Well well Look at you, You must be Kaito~ I can sense a wonderful curse inside of you, How about you let me have it so I can put that to better use." The man runs at Kaito while transforming and he is using black and white claws and Kaito dodges back away from them and he used his Shield to defend against the slashes of the claws that hit him and he measures his steps as this vampire seemed to hit with two different types of element and force as he can feel them against the shield which is not giving but they attacks are strong then a claw comes slashing through the shield and Kaito pulls his head back just in time for the slash to miss hitting him across the face and he sees a trail of white behind the slash.

"Seems your curse and equipment are stronger than my blessing that is a really odd thing to see." Kaito fires a beam of arcane energy at the vampire that starts laughing as he slashed it with the black claw and the spell seemed to just go flat into the ground and Kaito realized that his shield was getting heavier the more the black claw had hit it and now Kaito sees the gimmick that the vampire was using as the white claws seemed to make things lighter while the black made it heavier and the white ones went through armor as the black was seemly more damage to the armor.

Kaito bashed his shield into the vampire then made some space between them and he knows that he needs to make sure that this fight doesn't take too long and that he can end this without his guts on the floor as this vampire was not normal as their power and magic seemed bother pretty and foul at the same time and he doesn't want to risk don't something that can not be repaired or changed.

Yuurei would watch as his friends would go into the battle without hesitating. He was happy to see that they were ready to fight with him at any given movement. Now he was going to take care of the vampires in this place while Kaito handle the most annoying one of them all. He would rush into the battlefield and he would appear between the vampires and the bandits. The group would stop their fighting as they all looked at Yuurei. They didn’t expect this to happen, but that was when Yuurei kicked one of the vampire’s heads off.

It would be sent flying and both the vampires and the bandits were shocked to see this happening. The bandits didn’t know if Yuurei was going to attack them as well, but when they saw him turn his back on them, they would sigh with relief. He would just look at the vampires as they rushed straight to him as they saw a new foe had appeared. They knew that this man was scarier than any other thing here. He would see them coming for him and he would step back and he would start dodging the attacks of the vampires that were after him.

He would get close to the bandits now, and as much as they knew they could try and stab him from behind, they chose not to. They didn’t want to fight the vampires here as they had seemed to be a big problem if they lose Yuurei. The Nephilim would have a smirk on his face as he would see another vampire coming straight for him. Yuurei would step his foot forward and he would push the vampire’s leg back causing him to lose balance.

It was then that he would pull the vampire’s arm he would lift him up with his arm and then he would slam the vampire onto the ground. The impact would cause the ground to crack and the floor to crumble a bit. The vampire couldn’t do anything as he was crushed and flattened just from the slam on the ground.

The vampires would see this and they would jump back from the sheer power of Yuurei. He would shake his head because he was not at full strength right now. The berserker had been injured and was exhausted from the constant fighting. He would straighten himself though as he looked at the vampires here and he would shake his head before he started running to them.

They would see this and their eyes widened as they didn’t expect him to rush to them. They were nervous for a bit before they started running to him. Yuurei would spin around to avoid one of the vampires and he would have his hand stretched out as he would backhand another vampire on the head and their head would fall off from the impact. He would stop spinning as he would look at the group of vampires that were shaking on their feet.

Brone looked about the courtyard of the ruin fortress. Several vampires were out in the open while others were perched on different levels of the aged structure; some within the open windows and others on top of the massive wall design to keep intruders out. As Yuurei was handling those of the eastern wall and Kaito was taking care of, what seems to be, the head of the vampire nest, Brone walked about the courtyard of the western well, mentally drawing his battle arena. Some of the vampires stared at him wondering at first if the dwarf was hesitating, but seeing the stern look on his face as if inspecting the area, they had a feeling this was something akin to the Calm before the Storm. What caused a good handful of vampires to whisper back and forth between one another was the fact that the dwarf had four arms, each held a weapon.

Suddenly, Brone had marked a line on the cobblestone floor in front of him using the blade of his golden axe. The onlooking vampires were puzzled up until the dwarf looked up at them with a smirk as he got into a fighting stance. That's when the vampires knew it was a challenge. The dwarf implied that he wouldn't be pushed pass that line he had drawn.

"That ain't a challenge?" One of the spiky hair vampires pointed out.

"Guess we'll pull his body apart, bringing half across the line" another vampires scoffed as he stood up from his resting position.

The battle began as the spiky vampire dropped down from one of the high windows. His body then became shrouded by a magical darkness that took the form of a dragon, soaring to the dwarf. Another vampire decided to double up on the attack and drew forth his large steel lance that held draconic designs, then ran towards the dwarf at his flank so that both vampires were pincering Brone from both sides.

"Nothing special" the dwarf said as he looked from one attacking vampire to the next. As they neared, he began to swing his body as all four of his arms moved to counter. The green axe, Spellcleaver, cut through the magical darkness, dispersing it and revealing the spiky vampire from within while the club, Macuahuitl, slammed into his chest and sending him flying back, all the while the black axe, Dhuraindarin had cut through the steel lance, shattering it into pieces before the golden axe of Beowulf had cut into the wielder of the lance's side and sending him flying too.

The crowd of onlooking vampires adjusted their position where they were standing, seeing how the four arms gives the shorter creature a clear advantage; so they all rushed forward to attack him from all sides. Brone wasn't knew to this tactic, so he had readied himself as the flock of the undead crowded him.

In an instant, a tornado burst from the center of the gathering vampires and sent them all flying back. As the tornado dispersed, the dwarf stood at the center, ready and egging on the enemies to try and again at getting him across the drawn line.

Kaito keeps his eyes on this vampire as he seemed that he was not going to be a walk in the park like the thralls that seemed to serve the vampires at this point but there had to be a way to combat them and to not let himself be caught up in this but Kaito needed to find it and he needed to take all he had and he needed to cut through the man and protect himself, this vampire had spoken of curses and blessing was this man seemly as well stuck at the cross roads between being blessed and cursed. The vampire said he had to die to lose the curse but that is not something that he can allow himself to undergo as that is the end of the road and he doesn’t wish to see that end at least not in a place like this fighting something like this.

The vampire taunts Kaito as he swiftly moved in on Kaito with his claws that almost looked like the fangs of a snake or a small dragon. Kaito knows he needs to make sure that he keeps his plan close to his chest of. This as he has to bait the man close then hit him quickly and do not let the man’s black claws hit the shield again as the shield feels like it is only a few hits away from being to heavy to carry and move at the same time but he is going to do his best to make sure that he doesn’t just get himself over burdened and then killed this was a bigger fight than just him self but he knows that he needs to make the most of the opening he gets.

Kaito runs in and the vampire leads with the black claw to try and hit the shield and Kaito moved the shield and shattered the black claw weapon with his Damocles and then shield bashed the vampire who had not expected Kaito to be a wielder of a legendary weapon that had been used in this country. The vampire now knows this is going to be far more fun than it had been before because this man is a hero weapon wielder and that makes this a bigot more of a higher stakes game of cat and mouse. Kaito clashes with the other claw weapon as he couldn’t block it and then it happened Kaito got stabbed in the gut by the black claw weapon he had broken but how had it pierced his skin?. "Seems the curse finally kicked in, those claws have a nasty habit of biting back soon after they break seems they didn’t like you and now have sunk their bite into you."

Kaito himself feels extra heavy now like he was wearing weights in his skin it was painful like some one was constantly pulling down on him, he was no wound which means it was a magic curse meant to do spell harm which means it is probably temporary and will wear off soon enough not will it really be soon enough to get him out of this? Kaito will have no choice but to fight with the curse still holding him back but he can’t let it stop him as from the sounds of it there was far more to come in the near future for himself and the other two heroes that he had set out on this fight with. Kaito just hopes that he will be able to hold out and not be cut out of it all.

The vampires would look at Yuurei as they wondered why this man was truly after their master’s head. They couldn’t comprehend his ability for revenge and felt as if he should just join them instead.

“Why are you so focused on taking us all out? If you wanted to you could become one of us, and then you would be one of the strongest vampires right next to Ansem. Why choose hardship, when you could live a beautiful life?” One of the vampires asked Yuurei.

Yuurei would tilt his head when he heard those words and it would seem like they didn’t understand why he was doing this. He would disappear from where he stood and end up right in front of the vampire that was talking. It was then he would grab the vampire’s heart by putting a hole in his chest. He would take the heart from the vampire, and he would drop to the ground. He would look at all the vampires that were around and he had a smirk on his face. It was one that they couldn’t see, but he looked at them anyways.

“One of your companions killed my best friend. It was something I didn’t expect as it seemed like Ansem wanted to make them suffer. Someone escalated this war between us and you think I want to join you guys?” He laughed a bit as he looked at all of them.

“Ansem has also killed my childhood as he made sure that I thought my parents were dead for so long. He almost killed me, and you think I would join someone who couldn’t let my parents be when we reconnected?” It was then they would hear him laughing a bit as he couldn’t believe these guys.

They were whispering to each other as they didn’t know that someone had killed this man’s best friend. Yeah, there was no way they would get him on their side now. Whichever vampire had done that ruined everything.

Yuurei would make his move now and he would run straight to the vampires in front of him. Their eyes widened when they saw how fast he had moved. They couldn’t see where he was looking, but just that his head was straightforward. He would knock one vampire’s head off and thrust his foot into another one chest.

It was then that the other vampires would start screaming. They felt fear a strong sense of it and they had a feeling that they couldn’t beat Yuurei. The sense of death reminded them of the day they had become the undead. It was their time to rest in peace and it was all due to their master’s enjoyment of torturing the elven kind.

They would do their best to run from Yuurei, but he wasn’t going to allow that to happen. He had installed fear into them, which meant killing them would be much easier than already was.

Brone was smirking as he twirled his axes in each of his four hands. The onlooking vampires were picking themselves off the ground, injured, but able to continue the fight. Most of them were baring their fangs, angered by the counter and how they were already showing wounds and struggle while the dwarf remained untouched.

"None of ye have the strength to move me pass this line, eh?" He mocked then as he gestured to the line at his feet.

One of the vampires, Teddy, scoffed as he took a step forward. Some of the other vampires chuckled. Brone didn't get what the inside joke was, but he cared little for it, he intended on slicing up the vampire who stood forward. Teddy suddenly emitted a large amount of magical energy as he bulked up; his body suddenly growing to ten feet tall and his muscles thickened until he seemed to be a hulking monster.

"Nothing special" Brone scoffed, repeating the line he said before. He had faced dragons much larger than Teddy, so there was no intimidation for the dwarf, "Alright, Tiny, try yer strength then" he called to the hulking vampire.

"My name's Teddy" the vampire's voice was as deep as his size was large. Brone narrowed his eyes at the large foe for a moment, trying to figure out why would anyone name their child such a childish sounding name, and why would said being continue to carry said name, "It's short for Theodore", and when Brone heard the reason, he nodded, fully accepting it and pushing pass the name since it wasn't a reflection of a person's own character nor their fighting prowess.

Teddy moved quickly, though once he stepped into Brone's perimeter, the cold aura from his Casdae's Edict helmet, the hulking mass slowed. Brone readied himself as Teddy closed the distance between them. Brone was quicker; he slammed his golden axe into Teddy's arm, though the blade did draw blood, it barely sank in, which didn't even cause Teddy to flinch. The next thing Brone knew, a giant fist slammed into the side of his face, cracking the helm and sending him flying pass the drawn line on the floor.

The dwarf slammed into the northern wall of the fortress before collapsing to the ground. Cheers from the vampires erupted as the dwarf began to get to his feet. As Brone was focusing his eyesight, the sound of heavy footsteps drew his attention.

"This doesn't look good" Huginn said while watching the fight as he perched on the windowsill at the highest floor.

"I'm sure he'll be fine" Muginn said optimistically, though he was still concerned.

Brone finally got his focus back just in time to dodge a strong hook; he then countered by slicing Teddy's right leg, though the hulking vampire still didn't react to the attack. The dwarf realized this vampire wasn't like the rest of the nest.

"You seem a bit too strong for a human are you some kind of cursed monster?" The vampire seemed amused by this thought as there was more to this man than he first saw which was just the mans nasty curse. Maybe he can still get this man to lay down his arms and just give up to him as there was no more need to fight him if there was just a simple way to have himself healed. "How about this join me and I will cure that curse from you and we can take on the world and maybe be come the leaders of this outfit, aren't you tired of being ordered around by Yuurei, always being second fiddle to him in every way?" The vampire's voice seemed to leak venom as if he knows what he is saying is right and that this was Kaito's chance to take out Yuurei and be the one in the front of the pack, the Alpha in the group and the top hero.

Kaito just simply laughs at the vampire and the vampire is confused why he was being laughed at had he missed something? Was Kaito not a man living in the huge shadow that Yuurei leaves as he walked in the sun above them all as he seemed to be Yuurei's underling in this all even being ordered to take on this strong vampire instead of being the one fighting the grunts outside and not having to fight for his life or be doubly cursed in this moment. The vampire moved in on Kaito who rereadied himself and he traded blows with the vampire and their claws but it didn't seem like Kaito was going to take the vampire up on that offer as there was no way in hell he could dare to fight Yuurei and hope to win even if he did a 100 year training session to gain the unspeakable powers of long dead gods on top of his Dragon slayer arts.

The vampire is not sure how this all went wrong and how Kaito was still keeping up with him with the slowing curse on him from when he broke the black claws but it seemed like Kaito had only lost at best half a step and not the fully extent of the slowing curse and the vampire needs to get away from Kaito and find a new way to take him on before Kaito wipes him out but Kaito seems to be able to move with nearly no issues and the fear that Kaito is about to lob his head off is making this vampire greatly uneasy and not able to think straight as his focus is more on how to avoid Kaito as his blessed claws broke and they wouldn't do anything to Kaito but buff Kaito's strength and probably make it harder to win for him and the thralls that are hoping to beat Brone and Yuurei but the Bandits seemed to have also been helping keep the other of the hoarde of vampires out of the fort so this fight was just between him and Kaito and there was no way that he can survive this as this was the end and there was going to be no more coming back from this soon. He needs a plan and he needs it fast before Kaito really does kill him off.

Yuurei would look at the vampires that were running for their lives. It would bring him great joy to kill those that were in front of him. He would take a step forward and then he would start running straight to one of the vampires he saw running. He would slam his head onto the ground and there he would crush his head. He wouldn’t look back as he looked to his next target. He would run to them and he would kick their head off as he would bring his leg down and he would move on to the next one. They would scream about what was happening to their brethren. They didn’t want to die and were hoping that he would somehow miss them when he was killing the others.

The Nephilim moved onto the other vampire he would pierce through his back and took out his heart. When he was done with that he would pick up the body and toss it to another vampire. The force behind the toss would be enough to crush the vampire that had gotten hit. He was a walking disaster as he moved around and tore another vampire in half this time.

Yuurei would continue to move around the area as he was taking out all of the vampires that were in his area. He would find different ways to take them out. It was different, but killing those who harmed Kailani didn’t make him feel guilty. He made sure that they understood his pain. Still, one thing he didn’t realize was that he probably couldn’t kill an innocent person if they were in front of him. It was because this was war, that he knew it was either him or them. They could be vampires that come to him in the future and it wasn’t something he wanted.

He would run through the vampires that were here, and they couldn’t do a thing about it. They had their backs turned to him every time, which meant their death. He would relax afterward; he would look to see if his friends had finished fighting. They had done a lot to be by his side, but they were also friends with Kailani, so it was only right that they were here for this. He would feel the aching pain on his body now that he was done fighting, but he knew he wasn’t done there. It wouldn’t take long, but a person would appear.

Yuurei didn’t know who they were, but they were not a vampire. When the person got closer, he would look at him and start to speak weirdly.

“So, Yuurei is still standing? I wouldn’t have enjoyed this any other way. I guess I should invite you to my castle. You have until tomorrow to come to my castle, so I can end you and your little friends. If you don’t come tomorrow, your parents and this stupid little cat will never see you again.” He said to Yuurei.

Renji heard this and his eyes widen as he couldn’t believe that Nimbus might still be alive. His eyes started getting watery and he would start crying.

“The stupid cat might be Nimbus. We got to save him.” He said to Yuurei.

Yuurei would nod as he was fine with this as it would give him time to heal his wounds and rest a bit. If the others were done with their fight, they would hear the person speak right before they fell to the floor. Yuurei would pick them up as he looked at Brone and Kaito.

“We go back to the guild and rest there.” He told them as it was where he was headed.

Brone stopped playing passive, so he met Teddy with ready weapons. They ran towards one another and as they clashed, Teddy threw several punches, mixes between jabs and hooks while the dwarf did what he could to avoid the attacks and counter with swings from his axes. Though the vampire did little to avoid the incoming blades, the attacks barely did any lasting damage as for the dwarf, whenever he got hit, it dealt bruises and at one point he even felt a bone or two crack.

Teddy grabbed Brone by the neck and held him up with one hand while he delivered a few jabs; he hit the chest successfully, knocking the wind out of the smaller creature, but as the next punch came in, the dwarf braced against it to lessen the damage. The third punch was blocked by one of the axes while Brone dug the blade of another axe into the wrist of the hand that held him, but Teddy's grasp was firm. Another punch came in; when it connected he felt a rib crack. Brone put all his strength into the next attack on the wrist that held his neck; this time Teddy felt it and was forced to drop the dwarf.

Before Brone could tumble away, he felt Teddy's massive foot press down upon his chest as he laid on the ground. He looked up to see that the vampire was reeling back a clenched fist, about to delivery a powerful hit while holding him down so he wouldn't escape.

"Should we do something?" Muginn hopped back and forth between both his feet while flapping his wings, worried about the dwarf.

"Like what?" Huginn was calm as always as he watched the fight. They both knew neither of them could fight and even getting near either of the vampires would spell out their doom. Suddenly, where Teddy and Brone were, now a tornado erupted. When the whipping wind dispersed, Teddy stood before Brone in his new transformation; standing a foot taller than the massive vampire, with a white mane wild like a lion, his shoulders wide and his muscles thick.

A deep growl escaped Brone's mouth that was filled with sharp fangs. All was still until Teddy blinked; Brone jumped from his standing position and closed the gap between the two, delivering two axes into is side, ripping it open and letting blood shoot from the wounds while the vampire was sent flying back. As Teddy flew, the lion-dwarf continued to run, chasing him. Before the vampire could even hit the floor, all four axes swung all about, slicing up the massive target and pushing him further until his body hit the west wall and even then Brone didn't let up.

After a few seconds, the dwarf finally stopped. Teddy's remains were embedded in the wall for a moment before he faded to ash. The immediate area was still as the surrounding vampires stared in horror and were still deciding what to do. When Brone lifted his head so that the onlookers could see his feline eyes. This intimidated them, so they decided to turn and leave, but even then Brone didn't want to let this go; he flew up up the wall to where one of the vampires were hanging from an open window. Before the vampire could escape, one of the axes had split him apart.

The nest of vampires began to swarm, trying to escape the scene as the lion-dwarf jumped about, climbing the wall and leaping here and there while delivering the death blows to all who were unlucky to escape.

The sudden silence from the other parts of the courtyard drew Brone's attention. Yuurei was picking something up, someone he didn't recognize. As his adrenaline fell, his transformation subsided and he returned to normal. Yuurei announced they were heading back to the guild. The dwarf didn't question the guild master's orders, but he was confused about why they were turning back... until while they were making their way back home, Huginn and Muninn informed him about the next destination... the castle.

Kaito without a second thought or even thinking about what he was doing raised his sword shoved off forward in the blink of an eye and the vampire's head and his shoulders soon became parted and the vampire's last thoughts were of how he should have not picked to take on the dragon slayer and his body was quite ugly without his head attached to it. Kaito caught the head in his hand and he put it in a liquid filled jar as maybe he will be able to use it later to maybe break his own curse as the vampire tried to make a deal to break the curse if he helped him so this cursed and blessed head might be his answer and so he was going to keep it. He sent it away into his personal dimension then he walked out of the building and past the bandits.

Kaito walked to Yuurei and he followed the other two men hearing something about nimbus and he wondered if the little rat was spared or if this was another trap and they were walking right into it and not taking the time to do any extra planning but Kaito was ready to thing and tear into the vampires and maybe get that failure rat back from them as it would probably help Revy feel better about it if they did save one of the six that were freed from Santa's work force to find their partner.
