I think I'm about to die, to a damned Meow Man...Ikanbi stuttered for a moment and winced under the weight of her own breath. Her eyes darted around the room for a moment but snapped back to her target, a burly and tall brute of a man. She cursed under her breath and darted forwards, soaring through the air with the aid of her moon rabbit headband. She flew through the air with grace and timed precision, landing on the man's shoulders before jumping down and kicking the back of his head and landing cleaning on the ground behind him. She moved quickly again though, for it wasn't enough. The man turned and brought his hammer fist down hard towards Ikanbi, whom had to move quickly and swiftly out of the way in order to keep her composure. She reached into her pouch and withdrew and tiny handful of powdered chalk, then blew it into her opponent's face from a closeish sort of distance to be a hindrance and nuisance.

She darted forwards with her sisters and withdrew a small blade from her pouch. Thrusting it forwards Ikanbi leapt through the air immediately, easily clearing several meters with the aid of her Moon Rabbit Head Band and the strange soul within her resonated with the motions. Hermes, was it? She had asked within her mind but as of now there was no answer. Interesting, so the beast chose not to speak to her. Perhaps she had to earn the right. She wondered what she could do to earn the trust of the beast, of the god within her. The fickle being Hermes was a tricky one at best, or so Ikanbi had read in her books within the Collective Mind Guild Hall. A good study session, she had to say. Fruitful, she had gained a fair amount of insight on the soul that she was to call her twin. Her other half. Her better part. Hermes was to be hers.

Ikanbi
Ikanbi of Desierto rose from her downed position but only after a moment of introspection. Staring at the night sky, she felt the grass against her flesh as she stared starstruck at the stars struck above. Her target had winded her, caught her by surprise even. Dazed, winded, caught unawares, Ikanbi lay in the grass in what was effectively a heap. She let out a sight and slowly pulled herself to her feet, examining around as she did so. Her target so nowhere to be seen, gone to the wind. The trail wasn't cold though, fortunately, for Ikanbi was no novice Hunter. She stalked the ground and went off, slowly but steadily tracking down her prey as she stalked around the outskirts of the city. Here in the poorer region, especially in the outer edges, there was always something to go bump in the night. Lately it had been Ikanbi's job to deal with such things.

Ikanbi was a skilled warrior, with years of training and experience under her belt. But even the toughest of warriors need a break every now and then, and Ikanbi was no exception. So, on this particular day, she decided to take a break from her training and treat herself to a nice, hot cup of tea. She set about preparing the tea, filling the kettle with water and selecting her favorite blend of leaves.

As the water began to boil, Ikanbi took a moment to appreciate the peace and quiet of the moment. It was a rare opportunity for her to relax and unwind, and she was determined to make the most of it. Finally, the tea was ready. Ikanbi poured herself a cup and settled down to enjoy it, savoring the warm, comforting flavor as it flowed over her tongue.

It was a small pleasure, but one that Ikanbi valued greatly. For in that moment, she was able to forget about the battles and struggles of her everyday life, and just be at peace. And that, to her, was worth more than all the treasure in the world.

Ikanbi had always loved spending time in the forest, surrounded by the beauty and tranquility of nature. And on this particular day, she had decided to treat herself to a day of relaxation and fun. First, she set about finding some food for the monkeys that lived in the forest. She knew that they were always hungry, and she wanted to do her part to help them out. So, she gathered up some of her favorite fruits and nuts and set off into the forest, searching for the monkeys.

It didn't take long for her to find them. They were gathered around a clearing, chattering and playing as they always did. Ikanbi smiled as she approached, and the monkeys scampered over to her, eager for the treats she had brought. Ikanbi spent the next hour or so feeding the monkeys and watching them play. It was a simple pleasure, but one that brought her great joy. She loved spending time with the monkeys, and she always felt a sense of peace and happiness when she was with them.

Finally, when the monkeys had had their fill, Ikanbi said goodbye and set off to find a nice spot to go swimming. She knew just the place - a secluded pool hidden deep in the forest, surrounded by tall trees and lush greenery. She arrived at the pool a short while later, and without hesitation, she stripped off her clothes and dove into the cool, clear water. She swam and played for hours, enjoying the freedom and joy of the moment.

As the day drew to a close, Ikanbi reluctantly left the pool and made her way back home. She knew that she had a busy day ahead of her tomorrow, and she needed to get some rest. But as she walked through the forest, she couldn't help but smile at the memories of the day. It had been a day of simple pleasures, but ones that had brought her great happiness. And for that, she was truly grateful.

To Ikanbi's surprise, one day whilst she was studying a book on her newly acquired Hermes soul, Sia and Kuva showed up in Myras with a bit of a birthday present of their own. What a delight! Ikanbi had thought to herself, mostly, just being able to see the both of them again. It had been so long, truly, and she had worried, she hadn't heard from them for some time. Kuva and Sia had brought their sister a most wonderful gift. a small, tiny feline like creature with cream colored fur and coins floating around its head. Ikanbi was delighted, ecstatic even. She had missed her family pet dearly since she had left Desierto.

Ikanbi grew to quite like Nico the Maneki-Neko and the two of them were inseparable. Indeed, wherever Ikanbi went the Maneki-Neko was to be found as well, somewhere nearby. With the guidance of her hunter friends, Nico's training had begun.

In a flash Ikanbi was out and about in the lower district of Myras once again. Het trusty companion Nico was nearby, hopping around and searching for coins as the two of them waltzed through the streets. After a moment, Ikanbi soared into the air with grace and ease. It appeared that, with no effort required at all, she was able to reach great heights by merely just hopping. Her Maneki-Neko pet climbed up the side of the building to follow her, but Ikanbi was already getting ready to go to the next roof top. Nico scurried to quickly jump up onto Ikanbi's shoulder. "Hey little guy!" She greeted Nico and then with great ease Ikanbi leapt to the next roof top, then the next, then another.

Ikanbi and her Maneki-Neko traversed through the lower districts, getting in some exercise for the day as they travelled about in haphazard and dangerous sorts of ways that were entirely and totally unnecessary.

Continuing about the lower district of Myras hastily, Ikanbi and Nico darted about the rooftops. Leaping easily from spot to spot, rooftop to rooftop, Ikanbi was followed closely by her new feline companion. She made her way to the pit, a hidden and secluded little hole in the way training grounds for those like herself. Already filled with several occupants, Ikanbi wasn't surprised at all. She waved to her friends that she recognized and they grouped up together quickly. There was training to be done and Ikanbi was eager to try out her new powers. They set to work immediately, and Nico jumped up onto Ikanbi's shoulder.

Ikanbi's training partner lunged but Ikanbi effortlessly jumped over them. She turned around mid air and then gracefully landed facing her opponent as they turned around to lunge at Ikanbi again. Again, Ikanbi jumped over her training partner, cleanly and effortlessly landing on the ground across from them. "You're going to have to be faster than that I think."

Readying her weapon, Ikanbi relaxed her posture and took a deep breath, gazing across the mat toward her training partner. Nico sat nearby, not paying any attention to the either of them and instead took to grooming themselves. Her opponent lunged towards her and Ikanbi jumped high into the air, easily leaping over their head and landing on the other side of them. Her opponent turned and lunged again and Ikanbi did the same as before, effortlessly hopping into the air and covering a great deal of distance as though it was second nature and not taxing in any way.

Her partner lunged again, but this time Ikanbi did as well, crashing into them and disarming them of their own knife before throwing them towards the floor, hard. Her lag planted around her target's leg, and her arms wrapped around their arm as she turned and dropped her hips, shifting all of her weight around and pulling her opponent over her head, slamming them onto the mat below.

Her opponent was winded by the sudden maneuver, having been thrown down with considerable force onto the mat beneath the two of them. They paused, laying their for a moment and stared at Ikanbi before getting back to their feet and retrieving their knife. "Again." She said to Ikanbi, and Ikanbi nodded. Ikanbi braced herself and had to maintain her composure not to smile. She was enjoying her new powers. This...gift....inside of her. This soul, this beast, this thing.

Ikanbi's opponent darted once more but Ikanbi jumped out of the way, clearing several meters of height and distance as though it were no trouble at all. She threw her knife, hard, reaching into her pouch and producing several more of them, which she began to throw in sequence as her training partner dodged about the room, avoiding being punctured by Ikanbi's barrage of blades. Ikanbi reached into her pouch and pulled out a large blanket, lunging towards her target and attempting to wrap their knife-wielding arm in the blanket.
