Holly
Heavy rain forced Holly to run into the first food establishment she saw. Having finished her work for the day she was headed to her temporary lodging, but she couldn't beat the downpour of rain that had been building up all day. It was of course fortunate that she didn't get too wet when she found a restaurant and bar sort of place called the " Golden Scales ". Looking around for a bit she was greeted by a waitress who asked if she wanted to sit at the bar or a table. Holly didn't drink, or rather she had never had a drink before, so she opted for a table. With her answer she was being guided to a booth that sat her near a window so she could watch the world outside, and see who was coming in. The waitress placed down a menu and asked Holly if she wanted anything to drink.

If it's not too much trouble I'd like a water with some lime and mint please. The waitress would smile and nod as she took the drink order before heading off to other tables. Holly let her gaze wander to the window outside as she waited.

Yuurei

Yuurei enjoyed his time in Rush Valley, but he enjoyed the sight of seeing that people were doing good in the city. The problem with today was simple, it was raining. He moved through it without a problem. His cape had hovered above him. It would seem like it knew that Yuurei didn’t like to get wet, so it prevented him from doing so. He moved through the streets with Renji on his shoulder. Migi stood dormant as he didn’t want to bother Yuurei and make him feel uncomfortable. There were two of them sharing this one body, but he didn’t want Yuurei to be reminded of that.

While they had walked through the area, they would walk by Golden Scale. Yuurei would look out the window, while doing that and he would come to a complete stop. His eyes looked at the woman who was looking through the window. It was then he would recognize that it was the Rune Knight he had met before.

Yuurei would wave at her and see if she remembered him. He also saw that she was alone and wondered if he should join her.

The soothing sounds of the rain hitting the window and the light music playing within the restaurant put Holly in a peaceful place. All the work she had been putting in within the rune knights wasn't really getting her any recognition. She had noticed those who she thought didn't even deserver promotions were getting them over her and when she reported corruption she was ignored. Yet through all this she continued to put her best foot forward in her work. If she hadn't been so swamped with work, she would have been able to think there was something going on behind the scenes, someone or a group of someone's working against her best interests.

At the moment the waitress came by with her drink her eyes had caught someone familiar. Her cheeks flared up red as the last embarrassing encounter she had with this person plagued her mind. The once peace she felt vanished like a mouse who got caught in the kitchen. Putting on her best smile though awkward smile she returned the wave and wondered if he would come in and join her.

Yuurei

Yuurei would see that he had gotten her attention. He would see her smile, and he could tell that she didn’t expect to see him. He would chuckle a bit as he found it quite interesting. He was wondering if he should go in, but wouldn't that feel weird? He wasn’t sure, but he figured if she wanted him away she would tell him.

He would walk to the entrance and he would make his way to Holly. They had separated in a weird way last time, but he was hoping this time it would be different. He would get to her table and he would stay standing as he looked at her.

“It’s nice to see you again. Are you here alone? Would you like some company?” He asked her waiting for her to give him an answer.

Yuurei’s cape was in the entrance wringing itself out and making sure it was dry before hovering behind the man. Renji wouldn’t say anything but waited for her to say something.

Before the man known as Yuurei had gotten to her table, she took a gulp of the water that was sitting in front of her. She could feel her throat dry out and tighten a bit, so she hydrated to make this interaction go as smoothly as possible. Once he was near her he began to speak. He was pleasant enough and offered her company, something she hadn't had in a while. All the work she had been doing kept her busy and she couldn't make any friends at the rate she was going. Even with her exceed companion who was sick today she still needed human interaction if she wasn't going to go crazy. It's very nice to see you two again as well. I'd love some company, but lately I haven't been able to get any of it. What brings you both out on this very rainy day? Her words were thankfully clear as she had the waitress pull up an extra chair for Renji, seeing as she was sitting at a table for two before they arrived.

Yuurei would hear her and it seemed like she was accepting his offer. Still, at the same time, she was asking him why he was roaming the streets in the rain. He would look at her with a smile on his face. He would sit down across from her and he would sit as straight as he could for the time being.

“I was just making sure that there is nobody causing trouble within Rush Valley today. It seems like weird things happen on rainy days, so I was trying to prevent it. Still, seems like everything is fine.” He said to Holly.

Renji would nod as he took a seat next to the window with them and he would look at the rain. The waitress would come back again and she would notice that the girl wasn’t alone this time. She stared at the man for a few seconds, before she realized who it was. She would ask Yuurei if there was something he could get and he would clearly ask for some water for the moment.

So it seemed he was also doing his duty to the community. That was good. Holly had known some guild masters to slack off so it was nice change of pace to see one of them working. The waitress had returned and Holly asked for a refill on her own water and an order of mini sandwiches and cakes. Once the woman left she turned her attention back to Yuurei. Knowing of someone and knowing them on a personal level was obviously two very different things. Currently as it stands the two were complete strangers to each other, and though she was kind her social skills were lacking. Pushing a strand of hair away from her face she let the silence between them simmer. She didn't know what else to ask really. Yea, thankfully nothing happens. Rainy days like this should call for peace but the world tends to be a crazy place.

Yuurei would look at Holly as if she had asked for something to eat as well. He would nod as that wouldn’t be a bad thing to do. He would also order appetizers as well to share with Holly as well. When the woman walked away, his attention turned to Holly and there was an awkward silence for a second.

It was then she would speak up and he would sigh slightly as he thought he did something wrong. He would smile at those words because they were the truth.

“Yeah, the world is a crazy place indeed. I do my best to at least make it so that where I live is as safe as possible. Of course, that doesn’t always turn out for the best though. There are people in this world who just want chaos no matter who they hurt.” He said to her.

“How are you enjoying your stay in Rush Valley?” He asked, not sure if she wanted to stay on that topic or move on to something brighter.
