As Atani went around to the patients, she could tell most were quite nervous. This was the first time anyone other than Father Jerad had been tending to them. She informed them that he had gotten a little bit sick himself, so she was stepping in to help, and said she was more than qualified due to her extensive experience as a healer herself. This helped to put most patients at ease, and she was able to administer the medicine.
Most patients took the medicine quite well, but a number of the younger children were reasonably cautious. One had refused to drink the nectar entirely for several minutes until Atani could quell their anxiety and have their mother hold them while delivering the medicine. Eventually, she had given the nectar to all the patients in quarantine and returned to Father Jerad who, after being updated on the status of the patients, finally took some himself. The Blessia nectar worked fast, and the Father soon had some strength return to him. He sat up in bed and thanked Atani once more. He handed her a small vial, saying it should help her be able to help others in due time.
