Vex had heard from her cultists that there was a strange woman on the island and Vex was going to take her on and she hoped that this woman wasn't as strange as she had heard from them. She guessed that she would find out soon enough she was equipped for a fight in case that the intel she got was right and that she needed to be stopped. Vex had her bow at the ready as she was going to keep range between herself and this woman if she could help it as she walked around the sandy beach that boarded the forest of the island and she looked for the woman to stand out for her as the sun was starting to set and that might mean that Vex might be at a disadvantage here but she was going to have to keep her guard up and not let her self be seen first by the other woman.

Vex see a daemon woman and she spoke out to the woman. "You are you a daemon? What is your business here?" She kept her bow at her side but she knows that she can quick draw the bow when she needed to do it but she is not sure that she will be able to handle fighting this woman as she had no real ideas to who she was or what she might be able to do.

Vex’s spread:

Lumikki wondering aimless, faulty directions scribbled on a piece of paper were in hand. She wasn't sure she cared for this kind of environment, thankfully the sun was setting. She would hate to continue in the blistering heat of the sun. With the water crashing on the shore, she hoped it would soon talk all the heat away.

As she walked along the water, feet getting wet, a woman called out to her. "If ye happen to go by Vex then you could say I'm a Daemon. Least I was sent here to find her. Something about her owing someone back a shirt she borrowed, but being difficult about giving it back." Lumikki read the last part off the note not really caring the reason. She was just told to expect a fight and that was what she was hoping for. She griped her staff in the ready and walked toward the voice. leaving the water behind her.

Lumikki's Pokedex entry:

Vex looks at the woman as she says something about a shirt and that just confuses her more as who would she had borrowed a shirt from and she thinks that maybe this woman was green and had just been set up to come and fight her and she guessed that she would test this woman's metal. "If you think that you can take this "shirt" from me come and try to take it from me." Vex started into the tree line as she was going to use the trees to her advantage as she is a wood elf and that means she is better on uneven footing and with things she can use to dodge around and run over to keep her out of the reach of the woman. She does have to wonder who would have set her up but now was not the time to think about it. Her steps made little sound as she ran over the forested ground and she kept her self ready to start firing arrows at her as this was going to be a battle of who blinked or got caught first.

Vex was not going to allow herself to lose this and look like an idiot so this woman better be ready to fight and to fight well as there are very little stakes here for her but she was not going to go easy on the woman as this was where this newbie proves herself and shows why she is the one that got sent to do this, plus the other woman had seemed to have forgotten to give her name or even if she was working with a guild or if she was just a woman out here solo. Vex found a good point to see where the woman was and she waited to see what she would do and if it was good enough she would take any opening to fire at the girl.

Vex’s spread:

Lumikki looked back at her note and then up toward the girl, confused and flustered."Are you Vex or not!" She exclaimed and she waited for an answer. But before she had realized, the girl darted into the woods. Lumikki was left speechless and confused. Maybe she got the wrong person, she wondered."If I confirm I'm a Daemon, would you come back?! She yelled toward the woods.

Lumikki shook her head and frustration at her situation. The reward for getting the shirt back had better been worth all this trouble. Still if this is indeed Vex and she was putting up a fight to keep the shirt, than maybe she could get something useful out of this after all. Can't become and ice demon without a few battles along the way. Lumikki was still relatively new with combat so she needed as man encounters as she could get. Still, she was at a lost as to what to do. The was no way she'd chase the girl in her territory. It would be asking for trouble.

Looking around quickly, she understood she had no cover. Fair game for anyone planing to shoot a spell. When it came to fighters like Emil or Brone, they usually run in to get their hits, but she dashed away. Chances are the girl wanted Lumikki to chase her in, either she set traps too or was waiting to line a shot. Either way Lumikki wasn't having it. Her frustration boiling again. She stomped the ground and growled the name of her spell, a lavender magic circle shining before her before spwaning obsidian balck ice shards that meshed into a makeshift wall. A rams head adorning the front that faced the woods. It this girl thought she'd chase or be a sitting duck, she was wrong. Lumikki could at least make cover for herself as she planed the next move and waited.

Lumikki's Hud:

Vex hears what the woman said and she raised her voice and she answered. "Yes I am Vex." vex see that the woman was smart enough not to follow her and started out of the forest maybe that paper she was holding told her what Vex was and that fighting her in the forest was going to be a no go. Vex looked out from the forest and saw that the woman had made a defensive wall to protect her from an attack from afar. Vex thought to her self that maybe this woman wasn't as green as she had first thought she was and she moved a bit closer but making sure that she keeps the element of surprise on the woman as Vex doesn't think that the woman had made out where she was yet, so vex was going to make sure that it stayed that way at least for till she could get the first shot off from her bow.

The woman leveled her bow, then pulls back the string and an arrow appeared in her hand that had pulled back the string and she makes sure that her shot was on target as she was probably only going to get one shot at this and she was going to have to make it count but as she was still unsure what else this woman might have up her sleeve she was not going to fire her best shot just yet and she released the arrow and it flew forward at a decent speed heading straight for the woman's shield wall the arrow seemed to be flying true to end up hitting the shield spell but as the woman was a bit more cleaver the basic shot arrow went through the wall like it wasn't there it didn't end damage the shield wall in the least and the arrow homed right into the woman hiding behind the shield wall to hit her for B-rank damage.

Vex’s spread:

Lumikki hid behind her ice wall as she waited, the girl finally admitting she was Vex. She nodded, good, good." she said to herself. "Aye glad to hear it, you can call me Omena!" She yelled back hoping Vex could hear her. Eyes never leaving the woods. She saw a blast fired but remained calm, sure her wall could block it and give her time to react. When the shot came close to pierce her shield, it arched around instead.

Lumikki panicked as she was taken off guard. She only heard of magic that would seek you but she didn't think it would bother her so soon. As the arrow curve around widely around her door, she stepped around her shield as well to buy herself more time. Raising her arm and clasping the air to conjure a dark frost tendril in the direction the arrow would lead. A lavender magic circle glowing on her door. She would hope when the arrow comes around again, she can strike it with her tendril as she hid behind her shield.

Omena's Hud:

It would seem that the woman that had come here after her had underestimated her and the arrow shot that Vex had taken toward her. The arrow phased perfectly and smoothly through the daemon woman's defensive spell hitting Lumikki in the arm as Vex was not aiming to kill the woman. Vex was glad that the shot had hit the woman in a place that wasn't vital so that the woman would still be able to live, it would just cost the woman an arm. "I bet that hurt Omena." Vex's voice was a bit taunting toward the woman she had just hit.

Vex moved herself back into the forest to see what the woman will do now that her arm is hindered. Will she come running into the forest or will she try to run away from Vex. If the woman is going to run away Vex will chase her and finish it, if the woman comes into the forest then Vex will probably play with her a little more before she finishes her off. Though Vex has to wonder if the woman will just stay out there in her shield instead but being a sitting duck will probably not do her well as Vex could just take another shot at her that would phase through the shield again and probably finish this fight once and for all. Vex moved along the forest line making very little sound as she was waiting and watching for what this woman will do now that she is wounded.

Vex wonders will she panic and flee or come to try and face her in the forest or will she try to bait out Vex hoping that she will be impatient and can be walked face first into the woman's trap outside of the forest. Vex figures she needs to make a plan now in case the woman that is currently a wounded animal comes charging at her but if the woman does bare fangs Vex will do her best to make it count if she has to fire again but the next step is up to the woman out there to make and Vex to answer to.

Vex’s spread:

Lumikki clung to her arm feeling angry and foolish. She didn't handle that well but it'll be fine. The woman Vex ran back into the woods taunting her. Lumikki didn't care to follow but figured the cover of the trees was better than standing in the open. Now that it was obvious Vex was indeed a ranged fighter, Lumikki need to help her chances. She iced her wound to make the pain more bearable and ran towards the trees herself. Preferring to stay near the beach then go further in.

The sun was near setting and the light began to fade. None of this bothered Lumikki since she could see in the dark just fine. The excess dark would probably be helpful right now anyway. Lumikki darted amount the trees and close one at random to stand behind. Waiting to see what Vex would do to reveal herself again. Until then Lumikki opted to wait for her next chance.

Vex kept her head low and she used that she makes little to no noise and was scentless to her advantage as she was about to try and get  another clean shot off on the woman who had smartly taken to hiding in the wooded area as she had done but this was not going to save her from Vex's attacks from the forested area and the clock was about to hit midnight for this daemon woman and  that was going to be it Vex takes aim at an angle so that the arrow would have the space to move while homing and this was going to be over as soon as the other woman puts herself into check mate as she is in a place that is more accustomed to her own kind which was a wood elf. Vex pulls back on the bows string an arrow made of water materialized and she let the bows string loose the arrow tearing through the air and Vex starts moving to find her next spot to take a shot from and hope that this woman was not dumb enough to take another shot from her.

The arrow that vex had shot was locked onto Lumikki and it gently arched past a tree and right at Lumikki where she was hiding looking for where Vex was and waiting for her next move would be. Vex herself was still moving trying not to waste to much time to find it as a bow makes little sound but the arrows might give away from which way Vex was at least shooting from and she needed to make sure that the woman was never fully sure from which way the shot were coming from at any given moment and Vex thinks for the moment that she is keeping the Daemon guessing and that she will be able to finish this in a sneak attack on the woman with one last bow shot but she needed to see if the daemon woman gets hit but the last arrow first.

Vex’s spread:

Lumikki entered the wood hoping the cover and the darkness provided by the trees would do her good. The sun was setting but it could not set fast enough. When she found a tree to rest beside and ice her wound to nullify some of the pain she felt, she thought she would be allowed a moment to breathe.

Sadly that wouldn't be the case, she heard something whipping in the air and just before she could turn the tree and check out for spells, another arrow was curving around to strike her. "Fking ay this is annoying..." Lumikki spat as she prepared her next move. From what she noticed before, the arrow went through her shield. It would hardly do her any good to try so again. Lumikki did a quick spin, lavender energy swirled around her feet and legs and encased it in black ice shards. She used the spell to propel herself away from the arrow and opposite the direction it came for five full meters. Spinning again to refresh her spell and slide even further. Lumikki hope she out ran the annoying arrow by now.

Vex seeing as her arrow spell missed sighed a bit but she used the info of where the arrow went to know where the woman was and she stayed low as she used her partial soundlessness as a boon to keep moving as unseen and unfound as she could do and she saw the woman take a sliding dash and Vex pulls back on her bow and fires an arrow off in the sky in the way the woman was and it comes down in that area as a rain of water arrows as Vex sees the woman attempt and fail to slide dash on her frost again. Vex wonders if the rain of arrows had hit the woman or if she had some how protected her self from it or escaped it in time but Vex wasn’t going to move forward, she was going to wait and see if the daemon woman gets back into view or if she stays down from taking on the rain of arrows from her attack.

Vex in a way hoped it was over as, as fun as this was she was not sure that this woman was going to have seen the fun in this all and she was going to probably owe this woman a nice drink of some kind to talk over this misunderstanding that they had, had to have started this fight at all.

Vex’s spread:

In Lumikki's mad dash to out run the arrow she thought it best to cast her glide for a second time. Trying to execute the spin to activate the spell again failed her, the ice shards sliding apart and falling out of place. Lumikki followed as she tumbled to the ground, rolling after hitting the floor and getting tangled in the flora around her. She peeled it all away as fast as she could. Fumbling as she did from her frustration and desire to avoid more arrows. She still could feel the pain from the last one and it only irked her more. What Lumikki couldn't rip apart easily, she froze it until it shattered. Freeing herself from the plants in the woods and finally getting up, Lumikki dusted herself off and looked for the note the brought her here, tearing it into pieces as she attempted to start walking away. Away from this fight and day, the jewels were just not worth the effort to this quest. As a matter of fact, she planned on venting her frustrations on the idiot that sent her on this errand.

Lumikki started her way back home deciding she'd walk along side the water like as she came. Her hand held over the wound inflicted to ice the gash and ease the pain. As she took a step, something fell to the ground just a meter before her, it happened so fast that she couldn't make out what it was. Surprised and alerted, she looked up quickly to see if anything else would fall too. Sure enough the sky was cluttered in what she could somewhat make you to be arrows. A valley raining down just about her. She sighed in frustration, slamming side of her fist into a tree. This day was yet to be over.

She pulled her fist back and opened her hand, the day was turning dark and it made channeling the dark frost in her palm that much easier. Her magic at first a black orb before spinning quickly into a disk. She sent it into the air in hopes it could collide with some of the shots, opening a space for her to stand in. Yet her disk flew past them as if the arrows weren't even there. Only dissipating way after when the spell was out of it's range to sustain. "uuuuuuuuuuuh, aaaaaaah," she grunted in anger.

Twirling around to cast her Glacial Step and to try again. Dashing her way back to the water line. Yet every time she looked up, the arrows seemed endless. Some fell just behind her like she was running from fresh fallen rain, but soon the rain drops we hitting her skin. The arrows were piercing her and her attempt to escape was only collecting more. She tried to ice over her skin in hopes that it would stave off the damage, clutching her back as she did, but like her Bitter Frost Nebula the arrows pierced all the same. Lumikki's spells was failing her once more before the stride was over. She was taking too much damage to focus and sustain her spell. The ice crumbling and breaking beneath her and soon she fell too, not enough to maintain the stride. Lumikki crashing into the floor, body sliding after it hit the ground, and the remainder of the arrows claiming her.

Vex watched as the arrows started raining down almost sounding like a tropical storm was happening out here in just one spot and seeing as the Daemon woman had tried to struggle and run to no real chance of escaping made her smile a bit as the woman didn't just lay down and die that was very honorable of her to do and Vex made her way over to the woman and sees that the woman had slid quite a ways after taking the hit that ended the fight and Vex kneeled down and lifted the girl and got Lumikki on her back and she headed for a beach house so that she could tend to the woman and make sure she was okay talk things out and maybe have some wine with her if she felt up to it and hopefully this woman could forgive her but the chances of that might just be slim but Vex felt like their may still be hope.
