Yuurei Renji, and Tamas were still within the hospital; they had helped out with the patients that were sick. They had done what they could to take care of them, but that was all they could do. The nurse had paid them for their work, but she needed more help. Yuurei wasn’t going to turn down the offer, and he would accept. He figured that this would be more up Tamas's alley anyways. Their job right now was to retrieve some cargo that had been taken by a bunch of ruffians.

He was fine with handling them as long as they didn’t kill them and they just taught them a lesson. It would also be good for Tamas to get some more experience when it came to fighting.

“Alright when we see the guys who stole from the hospital we asked them for things back peacefully, and if it doesn’t work then we can beat them up and take it back. The location the nurse gave us should be around here somewhere.” He said to Tamas.

Renji heard his words as he was walking next to them in his human form. The plan was to beat them up if they refused to give the stuff back and not kill them. He was always fine with that, but they weren’t sure about Tamas. The duo would move through the streets of Talaz Lagaar as they were approaching their destination.

They would hear men laughing, joking, and celebrating and it was probably because of what they had taken from the hospital.

The trio had helped the annoying people doing their jobs for them. And they were paid nicely for it. But to his dread, the sadist Nurse wanted seconds, and Yuurei jumped the chance to help again. Oh jooooyyy
. Although this one did not seem as bad as the first one. Their job right now was to retrieve some cargo that had been taken by a bunch of would be ruffians.

Just the task was to handle them, but not kill them. This was a training session in restraint, because good Lord, would he kill to kill someone right now.

So now Yuurei spoke, basically recounting the details of their job. Tamas nodded. Mentally he was in anguish. Like ugh, peacefully to boot? He hated doing things peacefully. He hoped they dont go the peaceful route. Can he at least break someones nose?
"Very well" was all he merely said

The group was heading towards their destination, nearing it soon enough, which opted Tamas to hold back any question he had. Namely, he wanted to get some time to himself after this. Like take some jobs he saw fitted him or just go out hunting. If he doesnt have a chance to kill people. Animals would do.
But soon, he was woken from his thoughts as they would hear some men laughing, joking, and celebrating. Tamas wondered what was this commotion about. What was worth celebrating? Petty theft? They didnt even steal anything of value
He looked at Yuurei, inaudiably asking him for plan or an approach.

Yuurei would look over to Tamas. He would look at him as if he was asking for a plan. Yuurei would rub his chin for a few seconds as he never really did come up with a plan nowadays. He shrugged his shoulders as he would approach all of the commotion. The men there would stop what they were doing as they were looking at Yuurei. He would have a smile on his face as it would seem like he had gotten their attention. That was great, and hopefully, this would go by quickly.

“I guess you guys are celebrating stealing from the hospital? You guys should be ashamed to be celebrating for something so little. I’m here now, and I would like to ask for everything you stole back.” He spoke to them and they would look at each other.

It would take only a few seconds, but they would all start laughing at him. They would look at him as if they were trying to calm down. Of course, it wouldn’t take them too long to do and they would look at Yuurei with a serious look on their face.

“We ain’t giving shit back. So, how bout you go back to the hospital and tell them tough luck.” One of the ruffians said to Yuurei.

The Seraphim would smile because he tried a peaceful approach. The mage wasn’t going to really let them go without a fight and he was glad that they didn’t. Renji would hear the man’s words, and he would shake his head. They seemed to not have looked closely to see who asked the request, but they were going to feel it soon enough.

“Alright, I asked nicely, we can take the other approach, Tamas.” He said to his guild mate.

Renji would hear this and he would get ready to go in on this. It was going to be a brawl against these many ruffians.

Truthfully, Yuurei had no reason to plan. When one has all the power in the world, strategies would be considered trifle. But Tamas wanted to see if he was to do this peacefully or not. Yuurei casually went to all the commotion and Tamas sighed and followed

When they noticed the new arrivals, the people there would stop whatever they were doing as they were now looking at Yuurei. He watched as the guild master merely smiled. Most likely content with grabbing their attention.

Yuurei merely kindly asked for the stuff back and told them the typical shame on you talk, that a grandmother would give a whippersnapper. And as expected per scenario, the people would laugh like mere fools. Tamas didnt mind, this does mean resistance, right? Oh he wanted to punch people.

After their laughing fit, they would go back to their gangster like serious stance or whatever they were trying to emulate. Refusing to cooperate. Tamas just wondered
"Resistance?" to himself. Literally teeming and praying that he can attack. He felt like a dog on a leash. Just waiting for the masters cue to go get them.
And just as he hoped for it. The blessing came for the other approach. Violence. Beautiful sweet violence. Tamas knew, the only universal language in this world was violence. Yuurei was using words, but people only understand violence.
Tamas cracked his knuckles as he had to deal in this matter non lethally. He was not certain how much lethality was allowed. Usually cuts and stabs lead to bleeding, which leads to death. And he does not have a blunt weapon, nor does he want one. So his bare and yet armoured hands would have to do.
Granted one could get internal bleeding, but those are just simple details. Tamas on his signal would attack the ruffians, going for the nearest one. The man wanted to break someones nose, and by the gods he would do it

Yuurei would look at Tamas, he was so quick to get the fighting started. It brought Yuurei to chuckle a bit as he figured he was waiting for something like this to happen. He would just watch him attack and it wouldn’t take long, but the ruffians would hear their friend's nose crack. Yuurei would rub the back of his head as it would start. They were rushing to Tamas who had attacked first, but Renji would be there to join the fight. When he saw someone from behind had tried to attack Tamas from behind, Renji would catch his punch and he would shake his head. It was then the man would try to hit Renji for getting in his way.

The Exceed would see this and he would turn back into his Exceed form. The man would miss his attack completely. He was confused about what was going on until he had gotten punched right in his family jewels. He would fall to the ground when this happened and Renji would transform back into a human. He would shake his head as he would look at the group as they were now looking at both him and Tamas.

Yuurei would equip his Yin and Yang Gauntlet as he didn’t want to ruin his hands today. He would tap his fist together as he would make his way to the fight. Renji would see another person, but this time they were coming for him. He would move out the way before kicking him with a strong roundhouse to his ribs and they would gasp for air before falling to the ground.

The ruffians would see Yuurei approaching the scene of the fight, and they wouldn’t let him get a surprise attack on them. There were some that shifted to him, and he would see this. His necklace allowed him to feel the danger of what was to come. He would move around accordingly to dodge the incoming attacks. The ruffians here trying to figure out how he was able to dodge with minimal movements. One of them had gotten close, and Yuurei would make him pay. He would dig his fist right into the man’s abdomen. It would cause the man to gasp for air as he dropped to the ground.

Another man would try to land a hit on him, but it wouldn’t work. Yuurei had dodged it and countered with a quick hook to the man’s jaw. The man would fall to the ground and some teeth would be seen flying through the air.

“Come on you guys got to do better than that.” He said to them as he had a smile on his face.

He enjoyed this as fighting was his thing and it seemed to be tamas thing as well.

This fight was therapeutic. This was all he needed. He cared not for being outnumbered. He lived for this. As he was fighting the ruffians, some have tried to get him from behind, but the Guildmasters exceed which was in human form had helped him avoid any unpleasantries, granted he didnt need that. He didnt feel he needed that. But it was a welcome gesture.

During some point, the guildmater himself also joined in on the brawl. He decided to battle with certain gauntlets he had. They seemed special enough, Tamas knew there was some special ability and quirk to them, but he did not know what exactly. But then again for all he knew, the gauntlets nerfed him so he doesnt kill these people. Tamas wouldnt be surprised.

He would proceed to fight the people and knock them out one by one. Some by forcefully punching their lights out. Others by putting them in a sleeper hold and then just dropping them when they're knocked out. All in all, he was holding himself up decently. Its just he was more profecient with a weapon. He considered himself so, a lot more than being bare handed.

Tamas would glance back to his guildmaster and saw that he was having fun as well. Seems he too enjoyed a good fight just like him. But he wondered then why go through all this peaceful mess and not do what one wishes to do?
As he fought, he wondered how many of these ruffians were there. Were there more than what he had initially saw? He didnt really think it mattered, but it was just a sort of a unique observation. Maybe it was just him though, trying to prolong the battle. He didnt want this to end as the fight was the best part of a quest. If its over too soon, they would have to stop. Maybe thats why Yuurei joined him in this fight, so Tamas wouldnt try and make it last. Because Tamas knew he could handle some simple ruffians, but he couldnt handle that a good fight had an end.
Winning fights was bittersweet. Yes, he won. But the battle would be over.
Tamas decided that perhaps he should stop trying to delay the inevitable. He needed to hurry up and knock out the final few foes. Better than he gets the final few hits rather than Yuurei. Tamas would eventually drop the guy he was holding once he saw he'd knock him out with a good punch to the face. He did notice his gauntlets which were bloody. It was always something else when seeing blood against cold metal.
He would turn once more to the guild master to see if he had more foes to 'finish' off before getting the medicine or whatever they came for

Yuurei was enjoying the fight, and he knew that these guys weren’t a problem to him. Still, he moved around and he would weave attacks that came to him, before launching attacks of all sorts toward his opponent. They wouldn’t be able to take a hit from Yuurei as they were falling to the ground every time he decided to launch a hit. He would shake his head because they could have avoided this if they had just given them what they came here for.

He would have been bored, but at least nobody would have gotten hurt. Now these guys were probably going to go to the hospital and seek treatment. Nah, he doubted that as he was finished with his fight. Renji had wondered why nobody had attacked him from behind, but he noticed that Yuurei had his back this entire time. He would shake his head as he figured that with him around he didn’t have to worry about someone attacking him from his blindside.

Renji would finish the few ruffians that were in front of him. He would do what he could do to take them out and he wasn’t Yuurei, so it took him quite some time to beat each and every opponent in front of him. When he was done though, they would both look at Tamas as it would seem like he was finishing up the last bit of people left too.

This was great, and when it was all said and done Yuurei had a smile on his face.

“Alright, let’s retrieve the stuff, and get paid.” He said out loud.

Yuurei would move around the place with Renji, and soon enough the Exceed would find what they were looking for.

[color=brown]“I found what we’re supposed to look for. It has a medical insignia on it. It definitely belongs to them.

He would approach the Exceed and he would look at it to make sure. He would nod as he agreed and would take a few stuff, and Renji would take a few stuff as well. They left the rest to Tamas as they would head back to the hospital.

Once they got there, they would see that the nurse was waiting for them outside. It would seem like she was worried that something might have happened to them. She would brighten up when she saw they were alright. Yuurei and Renji would put the stuff down next to the door. Once it was all there, she would look at everyone and she would hand them all their pay for helping her out on this. Yuurei would gladly accept the payment as he had to stack up new toys to use in fights and possibly strength the guild too.

The battle was won and the ruffians were defeated via knock out. Now was the task to look at the medicine bags and such. They all looked around, but the one who would ultimatelly find it was Renji himself. The three would all portion and split the stuff amongst themselves, so no one person would have to carry all too much weight on the way back.

And so they would make their way back to the hospital. Tamas had a lingering question he never got to ask, but with all the fighting that happened, the question slipped his mind. He wondered if he should bother asking right now even if he did remember. Maybe it was best to leave it for later

Eventually the trio got back to their destination. The hospital, and they would see that the nurse that was waiting for them outside. It would seem like she was worried that something might have happened to them. She seemed to brighten up and be filled with joy when she saw that they got their stuff back. Renji and Yuurei placed down the stuff by the door and Tamas matched their gesture and did the same.

Once all the medicine was accounted for, the nurse would pay them all their just reward. Tamas took his reward and soon the trio would take their leave. With Tamas actually remembering what he wanted to ask Yuurei. But for now he'll save that talk when they arrive back to the guild.
All he wanted was a break from some of these quests and a bit of time for himself.
But he'll get to that conversation later. Now he just focused on his trek back and trying to sort some things mentally.
Like getting rid of one person that was on his mind a decent chunk. And while he appreciated the person, he did not see a reason why they could live rent free in his mind.
Perhaps it was all the more reason why he needed less quests and more time to himself.
Although dealing with those ruffians was therapeutic. It did help him a bit. But he needed more of that to feel better. And he needed to tend to his armour, make sure its in peak condition.
But he was sure thats all for later. Now he just wanted to tune off the world, relax and enjoy this trip back to the Paradise Dawn guild hall. Who knows, maybe he decides to even get himself a mount for travel. Lumikki did ask what animal he liked. A horse didnt sound too bad. He could get one soon maybe
