General Name: Kana Kimura Age: February 9th, X781 Gender: Female Sexuality: Don't lewd the child-sexual Ethnicity, Father: Joyan Werewolf Ethnicity, Mother: Joyan Demi-human - fox Class: Berserker Race: Werewolf Rank: D-rank Guild: Utopian Demise Tattoo: Right shoulder Face: Nezuko Kamado - Kimetsu no Yaiba Appearance Height: 1.53m Weight: 45kg Hair: Black with the tips a flame orange color Eyes: Pale Pink Overall: At the surface Kana might appear as an ordinary young werewolf child. She has fair skin, visibly large and prominent fangs and her sharp stiletto nails, which have a base color of light pink and ombre fading to a red-pikish color at the end where they point often tend to betray her werewolf heritage even if she should try to hide it. Her hair, a crop of long, black wavy hair flows just below her waist, turning into a flame-orange color as it passes her elbows and appears to be crimped into large, straight ridges, which is side-swept drastically to her left. Her eyes are one of her noticeable features which she inherited from her mother: Soft-looking pale pink eyes that appear to possess a lighter color around the rims of their irises, slanted downwards toward the sides of her face and slanted downwards toward the sides of her face. Said eyes are framed by notably long eyelashes. The pupils of the child tend to appear slit-like when she succumbs to her primal rage. She wears a light pink Kimoko with an hempen leaf pattern, the lining of this attire has a paler pink color and is secured by a red and white-checkeded hanhaba obi, with an orange-threaded obijime and a green ebiage, an outfit which clearly shows her Joyan origins. Over this outfit she sports a long, dark-brown haori that goes down until her calves, as well as a pair of zori with pink straps and white tabi socks, wrapped with thick pieces of a black material resembling kyahan. Kana also is often found wearing a small pink ribbon on the left side of her head to keep her hair out of her face. A final, albeit very noticeable object is a muzzle-like object made from bamboo, which is secured around her jaw with a strip of red cloth. This object serves as both a means of nutrients for her, but also a sedative of sorts to keep her from succumbing to the fits of primal rage she experiences at times. Extra: The muzzle is an alchemical invention made by her deceased caretaker, while Kana communicates commonly through a magical chalkboard of sorts. Personality Personality: Some say that to describe a person it would be best to compare them to an onion: each facet of their personality is yet another layer that makes up the entirety of their being. However, in the case of Kana it would not be wrong to say you might need three onions for her. Why three? Obviously, two to describe her, and one to have an excuse to start weeping. On the surface, Kana would be easily described as your typical shy child: While she is naive enough to quickly open up to these who show kindness to her, she is also easily impressionable and tends to cling to them in a certain sense of security and confidence. Although she is not clingy per say, it is more that her unusual situation led her to be quite insecure, aware that her actions can make the very people she befriend one day, hate her the next. It is for that reason she is also more inclined to interact with strangers if in the presence of someone that left a positive impression on her. Unfortunately, her heritage comes with both a blessing and a curse. While she possesses a certain resilience and strength unusual for the average child, she is known to succumb to fits of uncontrollable anger. These rages usually last until she is knocked out or becomes too exhausted to remain awake. However, her caretaker invented an alchemical device that helps control these fits, and it is also the kindness and consideration that man held toward her that led Kana to develop such an attachment toward those who show her kindness. History History: War... War never changes. Although many would later come to be glad that the era of oppression under the Shogun Ayame and her corrupt followers was finally over, this story began during that time of turmoil, to be specific fourteen years ago. The elven scholar Eondel still remembered the day as if it was yesterday. A pair of travelers arrived at the doorstep of his abode. Although Eondel was a scholar in pursuit of learning more about Joyan mythology, he was as a profession an alchemist. Herbalism and the art of using nature's providence to create medicine for the sick and injured had made him quite well-liked among the poor and downtrodden since all he asked in return for payment was a nice conversation so he could learn more about the country and its people and the countless stories they held. The pair seemed in a hurry, the man looked more rugged than the typical civilian, and was clearly restless while the woman... there was something unusual about her. A presence that would have enthralled him just by a mere glance if not for his origins. The two pleaded for him to take care of their child, saying that they had nobody else to rely on and that they heard about how he offered to help people in exchange for a good story. The woman offered to tell him a grand tale when they came to return for the child, a tale about the beings from Joyan folklore that were frequently called 'Youkai'. However, the pair never returned. When the man later discovered that the couple were in fact a Kitsune and her husband on the run from the Shogun's henchmen he decided to adopt the child as his own. A part of him felt it would be too cruel to leave her on her own, not to mention he did promise to keep her safe until they returned. Eondel chose to call her Kana, a name fitting for a Joyan child, and a name that would respect her ancestors who sacrificed everything so she could live. But why? Why were they being chased? It was a question that lingered on his mind for a long time. As Kana grew up the man quickly realized just how naive and gentle she was, and just her presence and smile alone was enough to lift his spirits during a long day of work. Sometimes he thought of taking her back to his homeland, but he knew the people here still needed his help. With taxes being so high most could barely pay for medical treatments, so they depended on him, if not for him these people would die also... But one of his questions got a possible answer during a full moon five years ago. He still could feel the scar on his chest ache at times as he thought about the event. It was late at night when Eonwel heard a scream in Kana's room and when he ran to check up on her he saw something unbelievable. The child was clutching her head, trashing as if she had a headache or a terrible waking nightmare, but that wasn't all. Amidst the sweat trailing from her forehead there was a burning aura pulsing faintly around her, visibly... violently... wildly... For a moment he noticed something: the window which he had left on a small opening and the curtains open, because Kana loved to look at the sky when she went to sleep had cast a light upon the child.... the rays of the full moon illuminated the room. But no, this was not an ordinary werewolf rage. Now the man looked closer he could see the aura that burned around her seemed to be pulsing with an unearthly energy. But wait... Did that mean this child... Just how much pain could the girl's body be experiencing from such pressure upon her being?! "Kana, please calm down-" he called out to her, but to no avail as the child's trashing became worse. She clearly was hallucinating, or feverous at the very least. He tried to calm her down, but when talking didn't help he attempted to approach her, gently grasping her trembling body as she let out a almost bestial howl. The man felt her nails dig into his torso, leading to the man to let out a pained grunt, for these small hands felt more like a predator's claws now! And yet he persevered. Gently he embraced her, calling out her name repeatedly while trying to cast a spell to gently lul her into sleep. The child continued crying, calling out to him. 'Papa! Papa!' it broke his heart, but after a while, it finally started working and she fell into a slumber. The next day when Kana woke up to see her adoptive father bandaged up the child started sobbing uncontrollably, but Eondel simply called her over, gently beckoning her with a hand as she ran to him. The man explained how the thing she experienced last night was not her fault, and that his injuries would heal over time, but to help ensure it wouldn't happen again he had started to work on a special device which he called the: Kanuzle. Disregarding the confused expression of the child, and the fact his naming likely sucked, he explained how the special muzzle considered a compartment that had a special medicine that wouldn't just help keep her fed, it also provided her with a way to ensure she wouldn't succumb to that feeling from last night again. However, when Kana told him she wanted to be taught how to make the medicine, the question about why leading to her to answer that she wanted to become an alchemist like him and that taking care of herself would allow her to help him take care of others, the man felt touched. In these five remaining years Kana didn't have any other experiences like that night, but when the war finally reached their village and people started to evacuate and try to flee it seemed the decision was made for Eondel: The battlefield was not a place for a child to grow up in. Planning to take her to Fiore where an associate of his was staying, the man hurriedly joined the other refugees who were being escorted by Mishiko's army to safety. Unfortunately, when they were enroute to the port where a ship would take them to safey the escort got ambushed. It was pure chaos, and no doubt Kana was terrified as well. It seemed hopeless until the heroic sacrifice of some of the troops allowed the refugees enough time to escape to the approaching reinforcements of Mishiko's army, but when Eondel, Kana and several other refugees almost reached safety Eondel saw a stray line of Kunai projectiles flying Kana's way! The man hurriedly shielded her, attempting to steel his expression. "Go on Kana, I'll be right there-" "!!!!" "Kana... be a good girl and go with the others. I'll be right there..." "!!!" "Really... as long as you're a good girl I'll always will find you." A couple of the refugees grabbed a hold of Kana and pulled the child along as she stretched her arms toward her adoptive father, while Eondel weakly pulled a small piece of paper from his pouch. "Please... take her somewhere safe... The refugee nodded his head somberly, while Kana might have been obvious, it was clear the elf had been hit in vital areas and was spending his last breath. As Eondel watched the refugee flee toward Kana and the others the elf fell onto the ground once she was out of sight, and amidst the clashing metal of the two armies all he could do was find tears gather in his eyes. "I'm sorry... Kana... This is ... the only time I won't be able to keep my promise to you." In the aftermath of the tragic events Kana was left in the care of Utopian Demise, in particular, she took an immense liking to the enigmatic companion of Mishiko, and when Ohta started to wander around she accompanied him, learning more about Mishiko through him. However, it was when during a trip to honor the sacrifices the people supporting Mishiko had made, that one particular grave stood out to Kana, and then she realized the truth: Eondel wouldn't be able to keep his promise to her, since the man had died to protect her. Realizing that she had no more family left in Earthland the girl broke down into tears when Ohta did something unexpected: in a gesture of genuine kindness and affection he embraced his traveling companion, telling her that everything would be alright. That even if Eondel was no longer on Earthland, he was surely watching over her in the afterlife. The Kami decided to finally soothe her suffering by telling her that if she wanted to: Utopian Demise could become her home. He could become her father, and they could both wait for Mishiko to wake up so that she could meet her mother. Kana happily agreed to the idea, and it was said that on the day the Demigoddess regained her consciousness, Ohta was at her side, while a bamboo-muzzled child was happily nuzzling against her, and with the muzzle slowly sliding off her mouth the child spoke for the first time in years. "G...go...good mo.r....rning mama!" It seemed Ohta had a lot of explaining to do! Discord: Lewdingway Reference: Everybody~ Needs somebody~ Wait not a song reference? |
