WORDS: 150 | Dusky Desire

"Wuh...! Wuhhh! WAAAHHHHHH!"

“Whew…! Do not be disheartened, you were very close~?” Cool in the face of the baying crowd around them, with yet another set of knuckles placed firmly on the timber of the table before her the bronze belle couldn't help but beam, though did so in a cool and collected manner which hopefully spared the worst of her challengers feelings in the process. After all, he did seem to have given it his all, right~?

“Any other takers~?” The amazon meanwhile barely seeming to feel as if she had gotten started yet though certainly now knowing that she had her drinks for the evening well taken care of, all the same with so many having risen and fallen and ever more waiting she couldn’t help but wonder if she might find another brave soul willing to offer her a challenge, and quietly seemed to smile as she offered the floor to any who might fancy the chance of impressing her…

He was there at the bar, drinking his usual, this time he was taking it easy and not going as hard when it came to party and celebration. But he couldnt help but notice a crowd. He finished his glass and went to check out what was the fuss about. When he moved past the crowd, he saw that there was a very beautiful bronze golden coloured skin lady who had red hair and other assets one would find attractive and womanly. And yes, he too was in that category on what one found attractive. Realizing what was going on, he decided why not. Have some fun

"I challenge you"
he spoke to her as he approached her and took off his gauntlet. One of his guildmates had held onto it along with his helm. So his stuff could be safe while he was able to be more free with certain actions. In this case, accepting the maidens challenge

“Ah, yes. You look like you'll do~?” The towering temptress left to flex her fingers and lift the mug of ale which sat next to her as she waited upon her freshest form of opposition, Miss Azar barely had the chance to sink more than a couple of gulps from her tankard before she found a mountain of a man standing before her and almost literally laying down the gauntlet between them, and didn't hate that one bit really. After all, unlike most women she had met, not only was she able to handle men this size but happy to as well, in all sorts of ways.

“Have a seat, Mr…?” As such the scarlet haired 'maiden' only smiling and feeling something quiver within her at the prospect of what was to follow, a glint of fire seemed to burn within the back of her eyes as she invited this stranger to take up a position on the opposite side the table she had been using, and in doing so asked for his name as well. I mean, this one looked like it may be something worth her remembering, right~?

"Tamas Horvath" he replied, straight to the point. He didnt realize one would ask his name. He didnt want to overthink would she want name or surname or both or title included. Just full name was enough.
He offered her his hand or arm to grip for their little challenge. Tamas had no idea what hijinx would ensue. He merely thought about trying new things or having fun at Stella. Whether he won or lost this challenge was trivial.

Speaking of, he wondered even if he was physically stronger. Should he let her win? Nah. A good win should be earned and she had a nice streak. Part of him dreaded stealing her thunder, but who knows, perhaps he gets pleasantly surprised by whats to come. Rarely does he see a graceful maiden warrior. Usually he sees them go either in the overly sensitive defenceless maiden extreme or just full on beefcake warrior. Rarely does one find that perfect middle with graceful and deadly.
But as much as he was internally complimenting her. Now was the time to start their challenge

“Farah Azar. The honour is mine~” The bronze beauty nodding toward the figure opposite her as he paid her the kindness of giving her his name, Farah found her lips curling as she looked toward the eyes of her 'enemy' and lingered upon them for a second as she threaded their hands together, and did not hate what she saw. The number of years she carried which did not show on her face helping her to see more than most and in those grey sheets the 'girl' seeing plenty, she could see there was plenty to be told from them, and found herself intrigued even before she saw what the rest of him was capable of.

“When you're ready~?” For that reason the fox flexing her fingers again as she waited for him to begin their contest, the crimson champion might have reckoned that the clash between them which followed would be as illuminating to her as any kind of conversation might have been, and would tell her everything she needed to know about this clearly storied soul far better than any conversation could have. Not that she wouldn't open to a little verbal interplay as well, in due course…

He smiled faintly a bit and gave her a nod, that it was nice to meet her and such. Her name though, it sounded exotic. Desertian was it? He wasnt sure as he never met anyone from there nor did he know much about the language and how phonetic it was.

She asked him if he was ready and he nodded "Yes, let us begin" he spoke and on cue they would begin their little match. When it began, he noticed the ladys strength. It was impressive. And even offered him a fair challenge. Though again, he wondered, what would he gain from a victory. As far as he knew nothing. And she would have much to lose. For her respect among the crowd, he'd rather let her win and keep her streak going. But he needed to at least make it convincing, hence why for now it seemed as if he was winning. He wanted it to look good and to make her have quite the comeback

“Hmmnn!” That jolt of pressure something which Miss Azar had been waiting for and prompting her best, though her manner was graceful and courteous outside of the contest it seemed that her motion was less so as she drew down upon the strength in her harm in part because of desire within the pit of her belly to impress a man of this standing, and so unleashed no quarter as she pushed against a force which initially seemed to have her on the ropes, though not eternally.

“Hraaa!!!!!” Hardly managing to amass such a fine stack of jewelled bills near her elbow if she had been a slouch when it came to matters of strength and this showing as she ramped up those internal gears and pushed against that opposing force, first the siren of the sands seemed to regain her position against the mighty Tamas and then began her own offensive as she forced their fists onward, frankly feeling that it wouldn't take much more to overwhelm him. Though, even in the moment, she couldn't help but feel there was something a little off about this surging comeback which she had found…

It was time when he felt he was winning too much to start giving her the comeback. He wasnt really verbal with anything. All emotion was merely in his facial expressions. Though it was mostly neutral and calm, which was probably a tell that something was amiss. It didnt really show struggle no matter how much he tried to fake it with his arm and body language. His eyes finally focused on hers as he was this whole time focused or hyperfocused on their match that he failed to notice the person behind it to see how she was doing.

She really did look nice. Determined too. Yeah, he pretty much didnt know what to do. But because he was in his own head, he was losing attention and the match slowly but surely. When he snapped back to reality though, it would be too late and the lady would win
"Well,... this works out too" he thinks to himself

That was…! The game afoot and then suddenly and sizeably over in a way which Farah couldn't help but feel a sting of disappointment about as she slammed his knuckles into the timber, though she hadn't been sure she could have beaten this burly boy she was most assured from both his bearing and how he had seemed to initially overwhelm her that she had faced something which was far from his best in this challenge, and that was something which seemed to leave a worse taste within her mouth than any defeat could have. Unfortunate, really, given the intrigue he had shown within that steely gaze.

“Tell me, Horvath. Do you always take it so easy on the women in your life…?” the bronze beauty never one to beat about the bush either for that matter and while some might have opted to accept the win gracefully this one not among their number, the dish from the desert found a knot forming at the centre of her brow at the result and seemed to refuse to release his grasp afterward, those teal eyes of hers seemed to flash with fire once again as she challenged her own victory, and asserted that her opponent had given less than his all in it. I mean, some women might have been impressed by chivalry, but this felt hardly flattering for one like her, did it~?

He was ready to take his hand back and place back his helm and gauntlet, only to realized his hand was held firm by the lady, who had spoken to him and asking him if he went easy on all the women
"Lady Azar, I have not encountered women such as you in my life. You are a unique exception, one that I respect. You have won fair and square. Now, may I have my hand back"

Part of her wanted to ask her if she wanted a rematch and part of him wanted to warn her that if he does go for it, he would not go easy on her. She wouldnt handle him. Though he knew, if he now went all in. He wouldnt really be able to hold himself at a certain point. He disliked being without his helm, because one could tell what he feels or thinks based on his expression. One which showed a bit of worry over what he can do. He was not all that experienced in dealing with women like this and he didnt know what was right. Go on the offensive and show dominance or not? Or not engage at all? He was worried about making the wrong choice which would make him a creepy guy. Charismatic he was not. At least that was his own self opinion on the matter. He was far from a womanizer even if he did enjoy a womans pleasure of the flesh.

“No, I think I shall keep it.” Understanding the conviction in the gaze of her foe and yet still not quite accepting his answer, especially when it was tinged with such admiring sentiment, the dusky dish couldn't help but deny the request she was given to return his hand for a moment as she decided that she wasn't done with this man, and instead would pursue something to wash that bad taste from her mouth alongside him. I mean, it was the least he could do, right?

“At least until I have bested you in a manner which seems fairest and squarest~?” For that reason Farah narrowing those azure eyes and curling the corner of her mouth in a smirk as she did at last release her hold upon him, after a nod and a word about throwing down her own gauntlet for him she stood from her position and showed the room just how lofty her stature was, before sweeping up the prize money she had made tonight and taking a few strides away from her current 'arena'. After all, arm wrestling wasn't the only activity she exceeded in, right~?

His eyes widended when she did say that she'd keep it, his hand that is. He didnt know what to do or how to react, he was surprised by her actions. Thats when she proceeded to say the 2nd half of her sentiment. So she knew he threw and wanted to best him some other way. It seemed fair. He chuckled
"Hah, it is a deal" if she wishes to best him in a different manner, so be it.

Thats when she'd release the hold of his hand. Granted, he could've easily yanked it away from her. But truth be told, part of him didnt want to leave that touch. He enjoyed the womans presence, she was quite unique and nothing like he had ever seen. Now how'd she made him feel? Truth be told he had no idea. He wasnt really all that in touch with his emotions. After he tried his hand at romance and it backfired, it really threw him for a loop, so he crossed out that route. He believed he was unable with that stuff. So he just focused on the challenges and the revelry. Its not often he'd have this kind of fun. A rarity indeed, because after Stella, it would all be business from here on out
