Overall:

A young woman with short and stylish hair, Ursula Wilke is a woman with a fine figure and favours fashion that shows this off. Rather fetching facially and sporting a vibrant and expressive style of hair, Ursula has an attractive but sometimes cheeky looking image, seeming to carry an innate sense of confidence and flair. Having a rather narrow and delicate looking face, her Ursula eyes are large and her nose is a little on the thin side, complimenting her slightly elven features perfectly.

Keeping her hair trimmed short to a neck or shoulder length usually, while naturally dark-haired Miss Wilke likes to colour her hair with varying tones such as purple, blue or even sometimes green, and in varying manners as well. Often fond of having her tresses dark at the roots and light at the tips, she can tend to use an ombre style or with streaks and highlights, or just blanket colour as well. Typically wearing her hair loose due to the length, that being said she will still pull it into a short tail or bunches should the mood suit her.

Pale to the point that sometimes her skin seems to look a little unnatural, Miss Wilke has the kind of complexion that can make her look like quite the vamp, and knows how to play this up perfectly. The gothic tastes she possesses leading her to favour heavy eye makeup and deep, rich tones on her lips as a contrast to her doll-like ivory skin, Ursula enjoys a bewitching and gothic image, and tends to rarely fail to put the effort in to achieve this, showing that she values the integrity of her image more than she might let on.

Somewhat grungy and gothic in her casual fashions, Miss Wilke has a rather laidback sense of style when she relaxes, and if one was splitting hairs on the issue actually looks somewhat tomboyish on the whole in the way she presents herself. Wearing scruffy jeans and tank tops or maybe a plaid shirt or sweater, black and dark shades are staple tones in her wardrobe, and she shows the occasional flourish into brightness sometimes only for dry appreciation. Also happy to flaunt her slim but shapely physique, regardless of the type of item she wears Ursula often likes to emphasize her attractive qualities with numbers that are tight in the waist, or show off her bust or long legs on her terms.

This however not the limit of how this young lady might style herself however, Ursula seems to like to promote her femininity a lot more when she makes something of an effort, and can be far more elegant in her tastes than one might immediately guess. Having a fondness for fancy and memorable items when she dresses to impress, while she might profess some of her interest in girly apparel as being somewhat ironic she wears the items well and enjoys looking at herself and liking what she sees looking back at her.

High boots also something she prefers, she generally wears black or shades as close as she can get to it in this aspect, liking stiletto pointed heels that really stab at the ground when she walks. Often choosing to wear sunglasses even when the weather isn’t too bright, she can use these to hide her eyes and identity from others when she seeks anonymity.

Extra: Piercings in Ears, Tongue and Navel

Personality

Personality:

On the whole a calm and easy going girl, while her tastes might imply a more morose and macabre character, Ursula is actually more upbeat than one might guess upon seeing her. The initial perspective that one may gain on her being the type of person who prefers to be left alone and might seem distant and aloof, in reality this is more a reflection of her cerebral fashion and a calm form of self-expression and confidence than anything else, and she certainly has no problem approaching folk she is interested in.

If anything this innate quietude merely a social measure to keep people she finds tedious away, one might be surprised to learn she is warm and sardonically jolly, but is also the type who is happy to enjoy the comfort offered by silence depending on her circumstance. If anything quite outgoing with the right company, it might simply be that she is a little picky with who she offers her companionship and can sometimes be a little difficult with people. Not exactly a social butterfly but hardly a retiring wallflower either, Miss Wilke prefers to deal with people one on one, preferring the intimacy of a quiet but interesting conversation over the fracas of a crowd.

This habit by no means meaning she is shy or submissive in any way, Ursula is an independent and assertive girl who would rather have a handful of close friends than a multitude of associates. Somewhat soft spoken, she is a quietly intellectual girl who enjoys mental stimulation as much as anything else and quickly grows bored with people who she finds boorish or overbearing, even to the extent she might start to mess with them to entertain herself.

A playful young thing who relishes the chance to amuse herself, perhaps because she has always been a bit of an outsider she can sometimes have a habit of seeing other people as playthings and while not malicious in her manner does have a habit of being rather teasing and testing of others. Perhaps in her own way using this behaviour to reassure herself of her connections, her natural defence mechanism in her personality is to make light of things and make jokes, in her way hoping to dull the impact that things have on her by making them seem less significant.

This behaviour at times perhaps a little excessive, she can unintentionally hurt people’s feelings by being clumsy with her mischief though is eager to make up for such things when she realizes them. Perhaps a little uncomfortable with displaying a softer side to her character and using her wit and playfulness more as a deflection away from that feeling of vulnerability, with intimate connections Ursula shows a more modest sense of warmth as she relaxes, her sarcastic side easing and making her seem far dorkier. Prone to bouts of playful silliness and loving to share a bad pun or even a dastardly dad joke, the good humour of the girl shines even more strongly as she demonstrates a far stronger sense of impish affection.

A big fan of pets, she seems innately fond of more nocturnal animals and she even embraces her role as a creature of the night by playing up her interest in all things dark and gothic, even at times playfully adopting a more malevolent persona, especially when she knows it can unsettle others. A fan of the macabre despite her less conventional approach to being a ‘goth’, the girl enjoys all things grim and unsettling such as horror and cerebral works of fiction, and in many ways one might consider Ursula something of a romantic as her fondness for such things are often based in the metaphor and enigma as much as anything else. Pretty much finding almost anything that would unsettle a more 'ordinary' girl, she can tend to find creepy things cute and relishes things for their individuality, and often, their strangeness.

A perceptive, deep thinking girl, Miss Wilke has a fondness for history and mystery that fuels her darker interests, but it might also be said that to an extent she likes these mature topics because on some level she wishes to impress her peers. Developing quickly as a child mentally and often favouring the company of those older than her, while this tendency has evened out as she approached adulthood and found other souls more on her ‘level’, Ursula retains a subtle desire to win the acknowledgement and respect of others. Her witty manner and preference for things outside of the mainstream coming from this habit, the young woman wishes to be seen as an equal and loathes those who seek to diminish her for whatever reason.

A bookish girl who loves old novels and poetry, she often delves into these even in the company of other people and would quickly find someone who wished to steal her focus smothering. In these sorts of situations appreciating most the types of people she can comfortably be quiet around, she has a strong desire for independence and thinks the best kind of company is the type who accepts her introverted nature rather than those who try and force her into unwanted engagement.

This said, even in circumstances where she has come to enjoy the company of others to high levels Ursula still prefers to be taciturn in her free time, and would feel stifled by someone who seemed to feel the need to 'pollute' her quiet time with conversation, or impress their company upon her without rest. Seeming to have a distaste for this level of clinginess or possessive people in general, she would naturally seek to distance herself from any and all who might stifle her expression or her personal space or time in a way she did not like, and perhaps might become frustrated should they not follow this cue.

Big on interpersonal boundaries and her own sense of privacy, she would be supportive of those who had a similar stance, and though she is by no means lacking for empathy or kindness would likely speak up if she thought someone would rather be left alone than pestered. Very much a girl who deals with problems on her own terms, she can tend to take on a little much by herself in this regard and yet would reject anyone who tried to 'inflict' help on her through aggressive or domineering means, and be far more likely to push said persons away or even lash out at them. More the type who would appreciate patient and loyal support so that she can find her own way, she treasures friends who help her feel confident in herself, and does not like feeling dependent or beholden to anyone.

Motivations:

  • Adventure: A girl who craves stimulation and in her own way excitement, whether this be from a novel, a new place or visit or a new person to get to know, Ursula loves her journey through life and believes she should keep it as interesting as possible.
  • Kinship: Prizing her connections more than she might possessions or wealth, despite her propensity for sarcasm or mischief Ursula is supportive of the people she cares about, and highly protective to the point she would tear the throat of any who threatened them.

Fears:

  • Isolation: Quiet in her manner at times but hardly asocial, Ursula likes to engage people on her own terms but would be devastated if she was deprived of all company, and is happier being quiet around someone she likes than being left alone.
  • Loss: The fondness which she has for the people she cares about making for something of an Achilles heel for Miss Wilke, the ferocity of her protectiveness is sourced from a primary desire not to see her friends and loved ones hurt or die, and she would feel an immense guilt if she allowed harm to come to them.

History

History:

The youngest of four children and only girl, Ursula's father was a Icebergian traveller who fell in love with a Boscosi woman and married her, and bore a family of three boys and one little girl. The lass the youngest and inheriting the lupine gifts her father carried like her brothers, in contrast to the rowdier trio she was more of a quiet child who loved to listen to and eventually read stories, though enjoyed the outdoors as well.

There coming times when growing up with three lively lads that Miss Wilke would need to stand up for herself of course or get her own back, the boys could be known to tease and push her around a bit, and so could give as good as she got when the situation called for it. Learning to use her quickness and cunning as much as anything, the latter proved useful in levelling the odds against boys that were growing increasingly large and strong like their father, though like with many sibling relationships it was one of love and hate, and a fierce loyalty.

Sadly the lass losing her mother before she was ten years old when some fanatical hunters caught wind of the werewolf family living among their own, fools looking to make a name for themselves branded their group as villainous savages and attacked them, only to be sent packing by the threat they found. Killing the wife and matriarch in the fray however, the family was left to mourn their centre, and in time avenge her as well.

Ursula not one for the great plan of vengeance due to her age and inclination, father and the boys increasingly left her behind when the went looking for work and hunting down those responsible for their loss, which seemed to affect her especially. Left to wait at home as the lads got older and each joined papa in his activities, the house became increasingly quiet and empty, and though the girl enjoyed peace she loathed that feeling of silence and absence of the hustle and bustle in the background, especially at night.

Seeming to be unable to sleep with such a painful hush or not do so easily, Miss Wilke began to stay up later and later when her family did not return, waiting up as long as she could in the hopes that they would come back to her. Sometimes she did and found her all too quickly somnambulant self being carried too bed, other nights she passed out next to the window with a book in hand, and each time seemed to try to hold on that bit longer in the hope of greeting the people she cared about.

This the reason behind the way in which she seemed to morph into a semi-nocturnal creature, there were times when the moon was highest that she would even move to the roof, and howl at that great orb in the sky in the hope of hearing a reply. Over time this odd behaviour seeming to almost give her a preference for night or a preference to be awake then, she felt more comfortable and relaxed during daylight, while nighttime carried an inherent anxiousness which seemed to drive her toward distraction.

As the lass grew older these means and mechanisms for drowning out the quiet seeming to change as well, with her solitude more assured she began to better explore what the night could offer, and enjoy it too. Looking up at the stars, she learned about the constellations and the superstitions which were associated with them, and even managed to garner books and a telescope as a birthday present as well so that she might study the cosmos in more depth.

Music something which provided an immeasurable sense of solace as well, Ursula picked up a pair of magical headphones which she still keeps and maintains to this day, and began to develop an interest in live performances as she migrated to more urban scenario. Stealing her way into concerts, often without a ticket or otherwise official means to do so, perhaps it is through this that she began to develop and express her less than conventional tastes, at first through emulation and in time what she might consider her own innovation.

Seeming to become more venturesome as well as she grew older, by the time that she had dipped a little ways into her teen years her increasing maturity and need for independence seemed to make her want to stray from home, and sample what the world had to offer. Perhaps inheriting some of the wandering ways of her patriarch along with his more wolven traits, she sought out the concerts of her favourite performers and in some cases even followed their tours, while using her gifts to keep herself safe and fed.

Never one who was all that fussy over where she rested her head, dad and the boys had made sure she could take care of herself, and she traded on those kind of abilities when she needed work, among other things. Doing all kinds of work as her hustle, she waited tables and washes glasses in bars or joined caravans headed in the direction she was as an extra hand, and with her lupine abilities seemed to prove an expert tracker when she found boards advertising bounties.

This how she has seemed to support herself as she continues on, growing from a girl to a young woman, she has seen plenty of her native soil and drifted further afield, enjoying the chance to explore herself as much as the world around her and see where she ends up…
