Ethnicity, Father: Icebergian

Ethnicity, Mother: Sinese

Appearance

Height: 179cm

Build: NGL, it's pure godbod.

Hair: Black

Eyes: Cardinal

Overall: A tall and shapely young woman, Lin-Mei is blessed with a fair complexion that stands as something of a contrast to the darkness of her locks and richness of her eyes.  Rather ample and full bodied in a way which perhaps seems mature for her relative age, her physique is shapely and broad, though this fact and a reasonable degree of tallness seem to offset one another.

The face of this fair femme pretty and a little broad, her features are slightly pointed, with a tapering jawline extending from high cheekbones which ends in a narrow chin, many might be astounded by her good looks especially given the contrast between these and her strange personality. Large eyed, her magenta irises often carry a little mystique because of the way her black hair frames them, and can appear from a deep crimson to a dark pink in tone. Tending not to wear a whole lot of makeup , all the same her natural features shine through such as her long, dark lashes and rosy cheeks, offering a youthful appeal.

The dark, raven coloured hair of Miss Fan long and silky, though she is perfectly comfortable with her long locks loose, she habitually styles her hair into a somewhat large under tucked bun at the back of her head, which can at times make it look a lot shorter than it actually is. Sleek and luxurious, the hair of this dark beauty is long enough to hang over her shoulders and reach her upper back when down, and despite the more functional style that she prefers on a day to day basis the girl is happy to leave her hair hanging loose when doing a more relaxing activity. Trimming her fringe to hang around her brow so that her eyes peek out beneath it, she often leaves some sidelocks clear to hang down her temples and cheeks, and to support her typical hairstyle wears bands and the like to hold it in position.

Personality

Personality:

A bright and usually cheerful young woman who typically wears her heart upon her sleeve, Lin-Mei is honest to a fault and entirely sincere, with a manner which can sometimes make people think she is taking life a bit too seriously. Seeming to have a great energy to dedicate toward the people around her, she is a frank character who has little ability to lie to or deceive others, and while at times might seem to take things too seriously or sensitively can win folk over with how genuine and heartfelt she can be.

Perhaps seeming somewhat sheltered or naïve to the average Fiorian for the fact that she hails from a culture rather different than their own, Miss Fan has spent much of her time growing up in the nation of Sin, and seems to both expect and express culture and sensibilities different to what is commonplace. Finding fascination in things which people in this venue might find commonplace and conducting herself in a manner which might seem quirky, she has a soft spoken and often understated bearing which can be more uncommon in this outspoken realm, though perhaps only adds to her charm for it.

Many who meet her often seeming to note that she is rather sweet and thoughtful in her character, she is diligent and dutiful as well as doting, and loves to relax by lavishing her attention and her expertise upon those she has taken a shine to. A girl who usually loans a hand to those who are struggling or takes it upon herself to shepherd and even mother those who need it, Lin-Mei is a good cook and homemaker which seems to lead many to comment on her being good wife material, though they might be underestimating some of her less obvious qualities while doing so.

Carrying a competitive spirit that many might not expect given her often gentle and affable nature, not only is Miss Fan proud of her achievements and abilities, but keen to push herself to greater heights and improve further. This quality something which has been observed to come from her father's side of the family, she seems quite excited by the prospect of testing her skills and loves to spar with her friends, and would be lying if she said that she didn't feel a certain thrill at the prospect of and during battle.

More aggressive than she might initially appear in fact and this fact becoming more apparent with those she likes, Lin-Mei can be rather direct when she feels an attraction toward someone, and only more so now that she has found herself in more of a liberated scenario when it comes to matters of romance. Enjoying courtship but open to encouraging interest in her, her wry and playful flirtation becomes more pronounced when she is tipsy, and folk might be surprised when they find her getting rather assertive when she is drunk.

Ultimately a soul who prizes peace and happiness above all else however, Miss Fan has a big heart and is easily moved by others, and rather beneficent in her conduct as well. Enjoying wuxia stories and the tales that her father brought back from his travels of chivalry and fights against evil, she is humble in her way and generous, and eager to loan her expertise to those who need it without needing to be asked. Perhaps a little insistent in this way, if she feels she can help someone, then she tends not to take 'no' for an answer…

History

History:

A young woman who was born and raised in the nation of Sin despite only one of her parents hailing from her, she was the daughter of a steady and dutiful mother and a father whom she didn't see half as much as she liked, though none the less felt she loved and was loved back. The patriarch of the girl a traveller who arrived in the land and fell in love with the woman who birthed her, he was a warrior who always fought for the side of good, and an all round affable figure whom his daughter wished was home more, though understood why he wasn't.

Knowing that there were plenty of people in the world who weren't in the same position of comfort provided by her mother and grandfather, she was happy enough to know that he was out there somewhere defending justice and the people who needed it, and it wasn't as if his arrival didn't bring extra treats as well. The man stopping by when he could and bringing along even people for her to meet, first she got to know a girl who was older than her and adored her, and then a lad who had lost so much and needed taking care of as well. Both welcome little additions to her world even if they were neither permanent nor constant, with only her and mother at home sometimes things got lonely, and Lin-Mei lived for the days when father came home with a new friend in tow.

Perhaps some laughing or denouncing a little girl who saw her father far fewer days of the year than she did and still idolizing him but in her mind Miss Fan seeming to prize quality over quantity, as she grew older she wished to emulate him and her plucky cousin, and took steps to achieve this. Taking notice of a dojo which wasn’t too far from home and pestering mother and grandfather until they let her join it, she quickly showed a love for both physicality and competition, and before long was sparring with boys twice her size intent on impressing both them and papa and cousin when they came home.

Perhaps may who see the woman she has grown into now feeling a note of surprise for how much of a tomboy she once was, much of Lin-Mei's early life was spent in the pursuit of passions one might better associate with boys, through no small influence of her father of course. Loving to spend time with him and make the most of what they did together, she merrily went rambling with him and took part in games like throwing the ball or even wrestling with him, and was glad for more robust constitution she seemed to inherit from him as a result.

A strong girl and quick learner who looked to her patriarch like some chivalric hero, akin to those in the novels and comics she read, Miss Fan sought to emulate the behaviour of her father and became the sort who was quick to pick a fight with anyone who she deemed brutish or unjust. Coming home more than once with her braids and buns unravelled and blood dripping from her nose, though she was quiet she had a strong spirit, and wouldn't give up on something once she put her mind to it.

Case in point when she and father found an unusual egg in an abandoned nest during one of their adventurers, she would not listen to those who told her it would not hatch because it had been left too cold or it had been too long, and spent days upon days keeping it warm and close to her, and to her delight proved the naysayers wrong. Marvelling as a small shape seemed to break free who looked like a tiny dragon, she would hear no word of them letting the chap she named 'Fou' return to the wild, and instead raised him as an unconventional pet and companion on her journeys and ventures.

The years rolling by in the meanwhile and in time the 'duckling' she was seeming to steadily transform into quite the swan, still the fondness which she had for her father seemed to guide her, even as the troubling cloud of teenage life loomed over her. Learning to cook so that she might serve him and other visitors deliciousness when they visited, age and growing maturity seemed to show Lin-Mei that she loved to dote upon the people she loved, and rather than become a rebellious tearaway she was if anything tamed by her transition into womanhood.

Not that she abandoned her fondness for martial arts mind you but the girl certainly seeming far more refined as a young adult than she had been as a girl, she generally preferred the company of those who were older than her, be it father or cousin or even her sifu, and with that seemed to emerge as something of an 'old soul'. As such appearing to be far less gripped by the desires of some to go out and impress themselves upon the world and others, while it was true that Lin-Mei enjoyed the acknowledgement that she might garner from those close to her, she was not particular ambitious in her plan for life. Or at least not conventionally so.

Aside from her studies of the physical arts appearing to be content with the opportunity to spoil the people she was close to, she practically jumped for joy when she learned how to knead flesh and could provide relief for mother and father from the aches they felt with aging, and found a genuine sense of fulfilment in seeing the suffering of those around her eased. Some even going so far as to remark that her cooking ability and doting manner made her the perfect would-be wife, while Miss Fan didn't hate the idea of becoming a bride, at the same time she felt it wasn't quite right for her.

Perhaps this part of the reason why she jumped at the chance to go and visit both her father and her cousin in the land of Fiore now that she was considered an adult, she headed to a land which was so very, very different from what she had known, but fascinating for that fact. The people here seeming so much less inhibited than what she had known and that making the trip feel like a liberation, she has opted to join a rather chic collection of fellows to earn her keep and indulge her fondness for aiding others, taking up a position as their resident massage therapist as she shares a few of the secrets of her home to help those who need it in this new realm…
