She came to these catacombs, this defilable church, not for duty: but greed. This kept the scales balanced. She wouldn't let anyone think otherwise. Every step was loud - purposeful, this time - as she strained to make sound with every clack of her heels, tapping the decrepit walls down into the dirt. It was all in defiance. Was she truly so childish? Petulant? Mmm ... the unrest of the spirits this deep in Oak was the fault and responsibility of the Phantom Lord before them, so it keeps to think they should be the ones to take up arms in its restitution.
Well, no. She would do this for the Jewels and not a thought more. It wasn't that she wouldn't enjoy the recognition from her peers, or the gratitude of those in Phantom Lord that still cared to show it for her work on their behalf, but rather ... it wasn't in her nature to take responsibility for others. She had no desire to be culpable nor blamed for something she had no hand in. She would continue to care only for her own end results, and take whatever means might be necessary to clear to that point.
