"My lord Prince! We just recieved news from South Pergrande. As you predicted, refugees from Talaz Lagaar have been arriving in troves! At this rate, many will end in Drugigrad." The world from his closest advisors stirred the elderly Prince from his throne, the tall, towering man standing up from his seat as he scoffed at the notion with a dismissive wave of his hand: "Ha...! As if those fools in Drugigrad could know what to do with forbidden knowledge.", all but sneering at the thought of Illingrad's fiercest rivals welcoming the refugees fleeing from Talaz Lagaar, he held little opinion of the people there, those holding on to a slice of land that didn't belong to them. The Perengrandians of old had moved North when the Sinese invaded and had since thrived there. Drugigrad was an obstacle to the reunification of Pergrande into a proper Tsardom, "Find them! Bring them all here using whatever... Incentives you can need. Give them warm welcome, and let them live like honorary citizens of Illingrad." The refugees should not be given a choice. They would come to Illingrad by accepting a generous offer, which would welcome them with open arms. And in return, the man threw his arms out wide: "The knowledge of Talaz Lagaar will be used for Glory of Pergrande!", he proclaimed, walking up to the advisor who brought him the news, hand resting on the shorter man's shoulder, "But... Anyone with knowledge of Void Rift should be sent here to palace. I shall meet them personally." For the aging Prince Illin, this event was the culmination of centuries long ambition. For centuries he harboured a never ending hunger for knowledge and power to change the course of history, and turn Pergrande back into the glorious nation it once was, uniting the country establishing Illingrad above the other principalities. Those who furthered this goal were rewarded beyond their wildest dreams, and those who opposed it met punishment of nightmarish brutality: "It will be done, my lord Prince.", the man nodded and bowed deeply, stepping back a few paces, not daring to turn his back on his monarch before walking out of the room, ready to enact the will of the Prince. Bonus: The first three characters who finish a storyline ranked medium or higher related to the void may win Prince Illin's favor. This can only be done up to once per person. |
