Targa
The grand halls of the College of Destruction welcomed Targa as she stood in one of the outdoor courtyards, Montblanc perched on a nearby stone bench. The little Moogle swayed slightly, his red pom pom bouncing as he nibbled on a vine, much to the dismay of the local groundskeeper. "Kupo, you’ve got that look, Targa. The ‘I’m about to blow something up’ look. Careful not to singe your hair, kupo." Targa smirked, brushing back a loose strand of her hair. "Oh, Monty, darling, if one must practice destruction, one may as well do it with style. Besides, my hair has survived worse, I assure you."

With a flourish, she opened her palm, summoning a small glowing magical circle. The arcane sphere materialized, hovering for a moment before sinking into her chest, enveloping her in a shimmering, crackling aura, but thanks to her magics innate properties, both the magic circle and the aura were invisible. Targa flexed her fingers, feeling the magic course through her body like a wild river. She turned toward one of the enchanted training dummies, her lips curling into a confident smile. "Now, let’s see if this little overlay can do more than look pretty." Ah odd statement given it was invisible but she didn't mind, long as she knew it was pretty. She dashed forward with vampiric grace, her aura colliding with the target. The resulting arcane burst caused the dummy to crackle and spark before the aura dissipated.

"Not bad for a first attempt," Montblanc said, clapping faintly with approval. "But kupo, you might want to sustain it a little longer next time. Practice holding the spell a bit, feel how it drains you and how it feels to move when it before expending it right away."

Targa laughed and knew he was right. "Ah, Monty, always the critic. Let’s go again." For some time more she would find herself practicing the spell over and over again. Taking a rest every now and again to replenish her magic and feed. The dummies that had been set up for her were specially made from the same stone used in the training room. Not only that but they were made to be so heavy and embedded that her magics knockback wouldn't cause the dummies to fly back and damage the walls of the courtyard or hit a stray student walking by.

Salem E.

“So this is the academy?” Salem spoke to himself as he walked around. Taking in the sites and sounds of the place. He was debating about registering to join. He did not think the place was up to scratch. There were a lot of pompous people present. Looking with his eyes they did not even seem like they had the bark to back up their pompousness. Salem hated to admit that he would see more magic talent in the bowels of a toilet. He had to wonder why he was offered a spot here.

The sound of an explosion caught his attention. Salem looked up to see where he was. While he was deep in thought he did not notice he had traveled to the college of destruction. From what he was informed the rotation for his course work would be here often. Healing and restoring the things they did here were paramount and pretty much the bread and butter of it all. The sound came from a little dwarf girl. She was injured pretty badly, Salem healed her up and asked her a question. Since he was bored he wanted directions to the training area. He thought he could take some time out to check his magic and other skills.

Salem made his way to the fancy target practice section. When he walked into a room that he believed was otherwise unoccupied. Salem was impressed. A swirl of color was being thrown at a target. From outside the room the sound of impact could not be heard. While he was inside Salem could hear a small sound of impact. The hit had some force behind it. “That was a nice shot.” From behind Salem could make out a figure with skin that was sunkissed in it’s own right. Making Salem happy that he believed this person should have some relation to his homeland of Desierto.
