Personal
Name: Kinshiro Kuragya
Age: 21
Gender: Male
Class: Adventurer
Rank: C-rank
Guild: Rune Knights
Tattoo: Dark blue - left hand
Face: Robin (Male) - Fire Emblem Awakening
Appearance
Height: 5'11"
Weight: 165 lbs
Hair: White, ear-length and shaggy
Eyes: Grey
Overall: Kinshiro is a young man, only recently settling into adulthood yet not quite wanting to accept the responsibilities that come with it. His appearance reflects that, as many would mistake him for someone several years younger. Either because of his bright, youthful eyes or his head full of hair, he's not often seen as being "reliable" as an adult.
He stands at 5'11" with a body toned with lean muscle. Rugged shoulders and a body with many well-engraved scars, he embodies the essence of a warrior's build despite the appearance that some might consider to be more on the... "elegant" side.
He wears a black coat that stretches down past his knees, with gold and purple highlights. Underneath the coat is a (usually) freshly ironed white tunic. He wears white breeches, with brown leather boots that hide everything below the knees.

Personality
Personality: One could describe Kinshiro as being lawful first and foremost. If there's evil to be found, he seeks to be there to uproot it before it can spread further. He is usually very organized and tries his best to embody the best and most orderly Rune Knight there could be. Even if it means stepping into something above his league, he'll do what he can in any given situation involving danger. For this reason however, he can also be said to be incredibly prideful when it comes to fighting his own battles and will rarely accept battles settled dishonorably.
He has an adventurous desire as well. In his free time off of jobs, he enjoys seeing the sights that each location is known for. Whenever he visits somewhere, he makes sure to purchase any stamps unique or represented well in the area and collect them in a stamp book.
Oftentimes he's polite and eloquent when speaking, though due to his previous life before the Rune Knights he will occasionally let his old self slip out. Profanity and shortening or slurring of words, as well as slang terms or an offensive comment. This becomes especially evident when he's provoked or angered extremely. Some would almost see it as two personalities, but it's simply some bits of his bandit days that never went away; and that he's still trying to suppress.
Likes:
- Stamps: As mentioned before, Kinshiro enjoys the act of collecting stamps from the places he's visited, and placing them in his book. He hopes to one day collect every stamp in Fiore, as proof that he's succeeded as both a Rune Knight and an adventurer.
- Tabletop RPGs: Though he would never admit it to anyone, especially his fellow knights, he greatly enjoys tabletop roleplaying games and immerses himself in it at least once weekly. Â Engaging in such a theater of the mind sparks something in him that few other things can.
Dislikes:
- Evil: Not just evil as in people who break the law; this also includes vampires, demons and other such dark creatures. This also occasionally includes dark element magic, but this dislike of evil can go away if he gets to know the person as someone of good character.
- Criticism: Even constructive criticism. Kinshiro will often debate criticisms given to him, even if the person giving it has good intentions. He's often so engrossed in the thought that what he's doing is the right thing, that he has trouble coming to terms with the idea that, perhaps, he could be wrong. It especially comes to a head when it's something involving his abilities as a wizard.
Motivations:
- To find the answer to peace: Kinshiro's biggest goal is to find an answer to the question many ask themselves: how do we attain peace? With that single question running through his mind, he aspires to obtain strength as a Rune Knight until the day comes when he's both powerful and wise enough to make his choice.
Fears:
- Insects: With how vast the species is and how many disgusting and dangerous variants there are, Kinshiro has a fear of every single one. Specifically, the small ones. They're small enough that his lack of knowledge on their biology causes him to panic when they start to touch him. Even their ability to bite is terrifying to him. Most of all though, they're hard to hit if he wants to get them away.
- Claustrophobia: From all the time in his earlier years spent outside with his bandit crew, he began to realize that when brought into a more civilized building with hallways, he realized he had a fear of enclosed spaces. If the place is narrow enough, he may even get tunnel vision.

History
History:
- Spoiler:
Kinshiro was raised in a temple in his early life, dedicated to the Holy Dragon God, Bahamut. A devout worshipper, he was supposed to perform a rite that would awaken him to the world of magic and subsequently begin his training to smite the evil creatures of the world.
Fate had other plans, however, as after the rite he was still unable to perform magic. Some saw this as blasphemous and began to leave him to more chores around the temple instead of allowing him time to study the religion or participate in activities with others.
He was depressed, needless to say, to discover that he was one of very few in the temple without the innate ability to perform the Sacred Chant so beloved by their congregation.
Word began to spread that perhaps Kinshiro was a "cursed child", a human that Bahamut had abandoned for fear of what they could become with power. He was ridiculed and punished in secret, away from public eyes.
However, even that passed. One night when some of the guardians of the temple were out on patrol away from the grounds, the building was raided.
A group of local forest bandits had come prowling away from their usual domain and, seemingly desperate for a target to rob, ransacked and burned the temple to the ground. They were surprisingly passive most of the time to the priests and priestesses, only injuring those who fought back against them and the only casualties seemed to come from the inexperienced bandits who were unable to control their swings.
They did take prisoners though, and Kinshiro happened to be one of those few. Taken as hostage, he watched as his former family were sold back as ransom one by one, until he was the last one left. However, no one would pay for his freedom. The cursed child seemed to have been brought to where he belongs, in the eyes of key members of their religion.
So rather than send him to his inevitable death on his own or execute him, the leader of the bandits chose the hidden third option: recruit the boy and teach him to be one of their own.
Kinshiro had little choice in the matter considering his options, and while reluctant began to realize the futility of claiming to be a Bahamut worshiper any longer.
Still only recently entering his teenage years at this point as a 14 year old, Kinshiro began to change throughout his years among bandits. Unsurprisingly, his perspective on life changed. He became more rugged in speech, less caring about his appearance, and most important of all he was unwavering against those who resisted his axe.
While he was never permitted to kill anyone as part of a bandit group that tried as hard as they could to settle things without murder, he did accidentally go overboard with injury a number of times.
His life had gone on like this for years to come, until one rainy evening at their camp inside a hidden forest cave when he was 18. The rain brought fog, and with fog came the need to hunker down and keep warm. It was an early night and the group was tired, so everyone had gone to bed early. Which is why the bandits, including Kinshiro, were surprised and jolted awake at the sound of clanking metal coming from just around the entrance.
It didn't take long for them to be overwhelmed. Years of persistent robbery had come to an end when a distraught young villager boy had tailed the stragglers of the bandit crew back to their hideout a few nights prior and reported it to the Rune Knights.
They were arrested promptly and put into prisons in Era, including Kinshiro. The captain seemed to take an interest in him, however, and interrogated him shortly after arriving in Era.
Going through the full details of why Kinshiro had become a bandit, the captain informed the boy that he would be executed should he not seek to atone for his misdeeds throughout the years even if he had no blood on his hands.
Kinshiro, wanting to live, asked what he needed to do. The captain replied that he had to join up as a recruit for the Rune Knights, learn discipline, and more than that learn to protect the people he had terrorized for years.
He was given a week to decide, and at the end of it, Kinshiro of course accepted, desperately wanting to stay alive. More than that, the captain gave off an aura of sincerity that he hadn't been used to throughout his life.
For the past three years now, Kinshiro has been a Page in the Rune Knights trying his best to get stronger to redeem himself. However, it hasn't been easy, as he thinks himself inferior to most due to his lack of orthodox magical ability.
