Era

Description: For decades, Era has represented and housed the Magic Council, functioning as its base of operations since its foundation. It is a large city, built around a high, rocky mountain. The mountain nested the headquarters of the highest authority in the world of Magic, the Magic Council. The rocky mountain is located in the heart of the city, and it features a jagged pathway that encircles the circumference of the mountain as an entrance into the Council headquarters.

Localization: The city is surrounded by forestry and snow-peaked mountains, which can be seen from the Magic Council headquarters meeting room.

Politics: Era comes directly under the control of the Magic Council and their military division. This turns into a city with almost no crime and is therefore considered to be one of the safest cities in Fiore. It's ruled, maintained, and regulated by the Council and is well-funded and backed by other services, such as civil and military ones. The Rune Knights form the the military or police section of the city, catching and prosecuting troublemakers. The Council is intolerant of any outlaws and common thieves. If there is a hell for the dark mages, it very well is Era. The Council employs people to do the paperwork and handle accounts and finance, forming the civil section of the city. The auditor constantly inspects the work going on in the services of the city, looking for any mistakes.

Economy: Era does enough trade with the whole of Fiore and foreign to maintain its reserves successfully, everyone do jobs here that contribute to the betterment of the community. There is enough produce of agriculture in the fields and farms located in the northern part, which also contributes to the economy of the city. Wood, wheat, fruits, and vegetables are a large part of the trade. Era also has the highest literacy rate in Fiore, which is a big ace and contributor to the economy. There are also a lot of companies, or merchant hubs located in Era and the tax contributes to the economy. Most adults of the city are educated and able to support their family through jobs in the civil service or setting up shops.

Culture: Era has quite a large civil section due to the Magic Council employing a lot of citizens. In time this has resulted in generations of educated citizens that often passed on the tradition of being a civil servant to their children. Many citizens that can't use magic and are not up for the risk of losing their lives in battle, settle down in the civil section. It is a respectable duty which is recognized all throughout Era since these citizens help the Council out to progress with the development of Fiore by becoming a part of the wheels of the machine. Those that do not come from a family that has served as civil servants can still become one if they are educated enough and screened properly.

Guilds: The headquarters of the Rune Knights is stationed in Era. As it is essentially the government of the Magic world, the Council has an array of armed forces at its disposal, which it uses to maintain peace and make sure that none breaks the established laws. Their job is to enforce the Council's ideals of justice and to investigate crimes related to the Magic world. They are also responsible for dealing with issues such as detaining criminals and passing judgment on to them. They patrol over a large span of land all across the country. They are known to possess several garrisons scattered throughout Fiore, with their numbers being consistent, and have battleships at their disposal for sea transportation.
