Rym Oto
The Orchidia River. Something about this place was...relaxing to Rym. He usually comes here to listen to the water flowing. Although it is a very busy river for trade, Rym could always find a nice quiet spot near the river. Read a book, practice around with some magic, maybe even just take a quick nap. It's actually a quite ideal place really. On this certain day, Rym found a perfect spot of shade right next to the river. Kind of like the "holy grail" for nap spots. Rym looked at his shade under the tree.
"A bed fit for a king...or a woodland animal. No interruptions" Rym lied in his spot under the tree and set his book over his face to make it seem like he was reading, and promptly fell asleep.

Salem
Salem decided that while in the town of Orchidia he would find it in himself to try and enjoy it. This meant that he would not be locked up in some room in an inn just reading books and eating the food of the town. As Salem very much so needed to work on his habit of tending to try and avoid people. This be doing to the horrible childhood he had. That being an orphan on top of all, did not help but Salem tended to make the best of it. Especially since Oda was a great adoptive father even though the boarding school he sent Salem to did kind of traumatize him for life. The two would be able to find it in themselves to get over that and keep focused on the goal at hand. That being the fact that Salem was doing whatever it took for him to move threw the ranks of the Magic Council Rune Knights.

Wanting to make not only his adoptive father Oda proud, but his birth father as well. Due to the fact that both of them were Rune Knights of the Magic council as well. Higher ranked then the low level Paige that would be Salem, with Oda being a Captain. But none the less Salem was finally getting some free time away from the capital and needed to make the best of it. By giving the town a chance and actually venturing out to explore what it held. Something that Salem never really got the chance to do before having never really left the capital or the home of his boarding school in the more upper parts of North Fiore. A place that Salem had come to spite very much so.

Reaching a section of the river that Salem would come to admire for the beauty of it, as well as the fact that the way the sun hit it made it seem as something out of a photo. He would seen a strange boy standing in front of a tree before proceeding to mumble a few things to himself that Salem could not exactly hear. But the boy would proceed to lay down under the tree that he would seem to of been talking to in the eyes of Salem. Once on the ground in a comfortable position the boy would proceed to lay a book over his face. In a attempt that Salem could guess was in the hopes of making it seem as though the boy was reading a book and just so happen to doze off.

All of which Salem was coming to find strange, as honestly even though the river was completely beautiful at the location. Who would actually just take a nap here at the middle of it, not knowing who was watching them or ready to mug and rob them at any given moment. This striking Salem to move closer to the strange boy and examine him to see what was his purpose of sleeping under this tree in the middle of the day. Upon looking at him from a far Salem could come to see the strange guild tattoo on the bottom of the boys right hand from the way he positioned it while he slept. This would allow for Salem to identify the strange boy as a mage of the Lamia Scale guild.

Awareness. A great skill for a normal person, but a street rat needs it to survive. This just happens to be a skill Rym posseses. So when he heard someone's foostpes nearing, he woke with a faint jolt. Another skill Rym had was pretending to be asleep. He waited until the stranger was in earshot and then spoke up.
"You know, it's quite rude to interupt someone's sleep," Rym chided, "If you have business with me, try to bother me when I'm not laying down." Rym stood up to face the stranger. His jet black hair and crimson eyes gave him an intimidateing presence.
"Normally, interupting my nap would result in some consequences, but I'm in a good mood today. So what's your name.." Rym pauses as he spots the guild mark on his shoulder."Rune Knight?"

Salem
Salem would come to realize that he was not the me most silent of walkers. Seeing as the boy that he was trying to examine closer would actually come to the awareness of Salem moments before the young Paige would even be able to get with then two meters of the boy. But then again Salem really wasn’t for the most part trying to sneak up on this mage. Holding no ill intent towards the boy he just wanted to get a better glance at the book the boy was pretending to read. As Salem had managed to notice a few of the symbols written on the book, but was not completely sure if it was a magic book like he was currently looking for. Although he did figure that a member of a guild might have some key info to Magic shops and vendors around the city.

Still Salem was not the best at making the first move at making friends or even associates for that matter, as he tended to come off wrong with his first move of approach due to his history of dealing with people. And always trying to take the route with the least amount of interaction with others. Which was now something that was going to get Salem in what seemed once again as another slippery slope. This being do to the fact that the Lamia Scale mage that Salem had just been examining moments ago would not take to kind the fact that Salem had been watching him and approaching him while he laid sleep under a tree here near the river.

The Lamia Scale mage would proceed to state to Salem that it was rude for of him to interrupt someone while they were sleeping. Salem could only guess this mage had no idea the extent the Rune Knight Paige training went. As it was not uncommon for the Paige’s to get randomly woken up from their sleep to do some extreme workout of sorts. Just last week alone Salem got woken up three times to go jogging threw the capital and around the castle at odd hours of the middle of night when the average person would be sleep. Following his statement of interrupting his sleep, the strange mage would proceed to tell Salem that if he had any business with him that it should be handled when the mage was not attempting to lay down.

This all being something Salem himself could agree with, as he himself was sure that he would be slightly upset if someone interrupted his nap. But then again Salem did not get the luxury of getting to be salty of an interrupted nap due to being a Paige of the Rune Knights. So he honestly did not feel the emotions of spite this mage felt at this moment having come completely use to the fact that a nap could be interrupted at any moment. But none the less the only part that came to bug Salem of the little statements that the Lamia Scale mage would be. Would be the one in which he stated that Salem was lucky he was in a good mood or he would be forced to face consequences. Something Salem did not take to the heart very well.

Almost instantly snapping and loosing his cool, but Oda having trained Salem better then that. He would manage to catch his cool as the boy asked Salem of his name and come to the realization that Salem was a member of the Magic Council Rune Knights, as a slight breeze would come to lift the sleeve of Salem’s shirt up revealing the Magic Council crest tattooed in black ink on the right shoulder of his arm. Looking down at the still sitting mage, Salem would attempt his best to communicate without losing hold of his temper on the mage.

“If you honestly think you could make me deal with any consequences then you are sadly mistaken mage of Lamia Scale. And as for the name I am Salem Pendragon member of the Magic Council Rune Knights. But I take it you already realized that”. Still towering over the mage still on the ground at the base of the tree, Salem would proceed to wait for his response to him. Hoping that this did not get out of hand as Salem was on in Orchidia to visit and had not intent of starting a fight with a fellow mage, especially one of a guild such as Lamia Scale. But if things were to escalate so Salem would have no problem taking action.

Rym Oto
Rym steps up to him and coldly looks the Rune Knight in the eyes. He chuckles and backs away. "Alright, 'Salem Pendragon.' Nice Name by the way. I don't want to anger another fellow wizard," Rym stretched out, "How about I make you a deal? Let's have a mutual agreement."

Bargaining was a technique Rym learned on the streets. It was the only way for leftovers from the shop owner or a bowl of soup from the family down the street. It actually worked surprisingly well for Rym. All that's left is to see if it works now. This could be the beginning of a budding friendship or a notorious rivalry.

Salem
Slightly worked up from the attitude of the Lamia Scale mage that he had just met, Salem would still be standing waiting for the response that was to come from the Mages mouth. A response that he was sure would most likely effect the rest of his day. Being the fact that Salem did not leave the capital and travel to Orchidia to be disrespected, especially by another mage who seemed to hold no rank over him. Since getting disrespected by a higher ranked member of the Rune Knights and a regular guild mage. Are two complete different things to Salem, and one of the two would be something that he himself could not taking sitting down out of respect for himself and his family.

Seeming to sense the fact that Salem was completely serious about the situation at hand. The mage would proceed to stand, allowing for Salem to get a complete look at him. Now showing that the boy was very tall, with Salem still managing to be slightly taller then him. Something Salem had come to get use to standing at a beaming height of six feet and four inches. He tended to tower over most people he came encounter in all parts of Fiore. On top of being tall Salem was completely filled out not being the tall skinny type. One could even say Salem had muscles on muscles, with the very cut six-pack that he had showing at all times.

None the less Salem stood and gave a very intimidating presence no matter where he stood. On top of being a Rune Knight, he was sure that the Lamia Scale mage was sizing up his chances of any battle with Salem. Even with them both still having the surprise of their magic style hidden. It was probably still best advised for the Lamia Scale Mage to not go attacking a Rune Knight of the Magic council, something that could lead to get his guild possibly find a large sum of jewels. If it came to be his fault for the confrontation. Being why Salem was proceeding to calm himself from making any first moves knowing the trouble it could cause for him. But all the way still preparing himself for a counter attack just incase the Lamia Scale Mage started to fill himself.

Once up from the ground the Lamia Scale mage, would proceed to compliment Salem on his name. Stating it was a nice one, in what Salem figured as his personal way to try and lighten up the tense presence that was amongst the two. Stretching out the Lamia Scale Mage would proceed to tell Salem that he would make him a deal. Something Salem was unsure of as he had no idea of the intentions of this Mage, or even his name after failing to introduce himself as Salem had. In the end he just wanted to make a mutual agreement with Salem. In the hopes of what Salem could guess was this mages best way of making sure this situation was handled in the best possible way. “I shall here you out, on the grounds you are a fellow mage”. Would be uttered from the still firm and attentive face of Salem. As he proceeded to still give the Lamia Scale mage the stare of death.

Not wanting to cause any trouble in his own guild, Rym decided to back off a bit on the Rune Knight."How about you let me sleep, I lend you my magic book. Don't think I haven't seen you eyeing it this entire time." Rym hands the book out to the mage. "Just give it back when you're done" He goes back to lie down, waiting for the mage to leave

Salem
Still standing completely tensed up, from the situation at hand, Salem would stand tall as he waited to hear what the Lamia Scale mage had to say. Promising a deal of a mutual agreement with Salem, something it would seem that the boy was now about to demonstrate. By proceeding to call Salem out, on the fact that he noticed him starring down the book that was in his hands. Going as far to offer the book to Salem so long as he promised to bring the book back after he was done looking over it. A offer that Salem would come to agree to as he felt it was the honorable thing that the mage could do after pushing of few of his buttons with his disrespect.

Agreeing to the deal Salem would take the book from the hands of the Lamia Scale mage. Glancing over, enough to notice that it was not the book he hoped for as it was nothing more then a simple book over magic. One Salem would come to see as interesting and little out of the ordinary in his finds of magic books. But none the less he did manage to get the book from a member of a guild. A guild that Salem was sure to hold many great magical books ones even more spectacular then the one he had at hand.

Grasping the book still Salem figured that it be best if he held up his part of the deal and agree to leave the mage alone to sleep. Sadly for the Mage Salem would seem to have other plans and not be completely intent on standing around the lake all day especially to wait on this mage to wake up from a nap. Salem being sure that he was more then capable of reading the whole book before the Lamia Scale mage would even attempt to wake up from his nap. With the book in hand Salem would proceed to wander down the lake having to attend other business. Figuring that with him at least knowing the guild of the mage he would at least have some what of a lead in returning the book.

Salem
With the mage never bothering to get up and come after or even say a word, Salem would proceed to head away from the location that they currently set. The book was slightly interesting to Salem none the less it was still not the one he honestly came to Orchidia in search of. But now he had also managed to find himself a way into the Lamia Scale guild later, now having the reason the find the sleeping mage and return him his book. As that was the least Salem could do after completing leaving while he slept under the tree. As now it was time for Salem to continue his search in the town of Orchidia, with his time running out he was soon to return to the capital. And Salem was still hoping very much so to find something that sparked his interest here in Orchidia.
