What was the point? Living a more comfortable life style? Go to a job he was going to hate? What was even the plan here? He sat down on the park bench. It was daylight and the sun beamed in the sky. He leaned back against the wooden bench as his head stared up at the sky above. It was getting warmer now, spring bound to be another season on the streets. He could go back home, but then he’d find himself going hungry, and admittedly he was far too lazy to go out hunting again. He shifted himself to lay across the entire bench. The park around him was silent as the fountain babbled on behind him. He could hear the giggling of some people not too far under the influence, but he cared not.
Kenny sat up, his dull sword, Louise rested against his shoulder in her sheath, well it wasn’t a her of course, but that’s what he named it. She was a bite of a sword, more or less, nothing special about her, but he loved her all the same. Things were not looking up. He felt terrible. It was as if he had been left out to dry, but he didn’t care. He would get over it sooner or later, his emotions were fickle little things, he got over them quickly, but exhaustion was another tale. When he got tired, he did his best to stay awake when he felt this way but right now he was content in just laying down on this bench and waiting for the day to end.
Footsteps caught his attention, Omega did not move nor speak for a moment. He recognized the voice that accompanied the footsteps. He did not make much of an adjustment to look the person’s way. He had not even heard their footsteps as they approached. His heart seemed to calm down a little before he spoke, "Aonaka?"
He picked himself up off of the bench, “Well I’ll be damned-” there was someone with him, he joined a guild? It could have just been a friend of his… Maybe he shouldn’t have bothered him…
He sat back down onto his seat, he placed his sword next to him. The mood had been lightened significantly when he saw the young man as his mind was diverted from situation. He couldn’t lose the feeling, “Aonaka!” he called out to the duo, unsure if they’d hear him or now.
