Personal Name: Liston Age: 22 Gender: Male Class: Overseer Rank: D-rank Guild: Lamia Scales Tattoo: A simble dark brown Guild tattoo on his left shoulderblade. Face: Ma Gangryong, Veritas manga Appearance Height: 178 cm Weight: 74 kg Hair: Raven black. Eyes: Crystal blue Overall: A plain man with a well rounded build, Liston is the kind of person you would glance past in most occasions as one of the crowd. Most often wearing a slight smile and seeming quite relaxed. The one exception being his fists that hold the marks of rough work with rough skin and small scars adorning all fingers. Most commonly seen wearing similar stuff to jerseys and anything not with buttons. Never buttons. Extra: ??? Personality Personality: Simple, hardworking and full of energy. The kind of person who could run a farm on his own should he want to. That were the words from the traders that passed by the farm he were raised on. If given work he prefer to do it all in one day and often in haste. Often taking the simplest and safest path to complete the task, even if it might not be the best. This way of dealing with the problems that are presented to him have led to him sometimes offending people by offending them by removing the value of something they hold dear. He isn't a man to try and impress nor flatter. If he feels something should be said, he will say it and stand by it even if it is rude. He isn't completely stupid though, he has some sense of tact. That has made him value honesty highly. Life isn't a cakewalk, so hardships are bound to happen. This is something he has had to learn over the years at the farm with leaking roofs, escaping animals and droughts. Nothing is set and you have to be prepared to fix something you expect to never to break. That's how life works. Which makes people who lie or fool around through their days vex him immensely. He has little patience towards these people and he do not take kindly upon those he notice doing so. He isn't one to hold grudges so if the person appears to have repented he will let it go. But as with everything, there will always be a mark left in him for it. His education is spotty at best and thus he knows little of how the world outside the small village and his home farm works. That doesn't make him stupid since he has had to use what little he has to the most at several times and thinking outside the box can be simple at most times. But with his determination to fulfill the ideas his way often lead to one or five mistakes to happen before he actually gets it right. Every mistake a lesson! That is unless it's a horrible idea and everyone knows it, except for him. if so it's often easier to literally beat the idea out of his head rather than trying to explain it to him. Any friends of this man will also tell you he will go out of his way threefold just to make sure you are fine or that the help you need is met. Often at the risk of his own work. Since he wholeheartedly believes in that doing a good task will make several bad ones go away. Even if it's just something as simple as giving the cat a extra fish out of his own meal if it asks. Magic Magic Name: Transmutation magic. Magic Element: Earth Magic Description: The ability to move mass that belong to the earth element around at his bidding. The control that is put upon the mass in question varies depending on the content of the material he wishes to move, but limited to one material per cast. So if he casts the spell intending to move earth he can't move stone directly and vice versa. It also doesn't allow him to defy gravity or structural density. Meaning he can't make a bridge that reaches for a mile without support for it. His main use of the magic will be to create simple barriers, walls and to adjust the nearby terrain to the advantage of himself and any eventual companions. Or create slabs of material that would act as protection.
The amount of mass and the type of material he will be able to move will of course depend on what his rank is. Meaning some of the techniques mentioned above might not be available until he has reached higher ranks or greater understanding of his own powers/the subject. As an overseer he can only cast the techniques he's assigned to. History History: Liston grew up on a farm near a forest, as box standard as ones background can be. The son of a farming family. Not too far away from the farm was a small village where they sold their produced goods. It was a simple up early, work hard life with some schooling thanks to his grandmother who were a retired teacher. His grandfather had taught the boy how to handle himself in a fight, with some help from the neighborhood boys who thought he would be easy pickings. Even how to use a staff to take out a armed opponent should it ever happen. He had tried using a sword once but he found them distasteful. This was his life until the day of his grandmother died in from sickness a few weeks before his 16th birthday. He decided to leave his home once he had saved up enough money, taking upon himself extra work and often working 7 days a week. Leading to him becoming more or less a workaholic. This until he had the amount of money that felt appropriate, after which he left his home farm to see the world at the age of 20. A pack over his shoulder, his small fortune and a simple quarterstaff as walking stick. Having heard rumors and stories from many of the merchants about the different kind of works there was he had decided to try out his luck as an adventurer for one of the guilds. As such he started to gather rumors about them as he went around the regions. Seeing as the rumors around Fairy tail often sounded along the lines of "Have you heard what they did this time?" or "Those fools did something stupid again...". He wasn't sure it was the right fit, they seemed to rowdy and loose minded for him to feel any real attraction. He had pondered on joining the knights as well but decided against it since he always had a problem with authority. He saw the need for it, but didn't want to join it unless he had to. He liked to be able to go outside the frame. As for the Blue Pegasus gang... Beauty wasn't exactly one of his priorities. As his dad put it: "A barn over a mansion any day." So what was left was the Lamia Scales, which had cached his interest since they seemed a good mix of the rowdy nature of Fairy tail and the discipline of the Rune knights. While he had heard they weren't in the best of conditions he didn't care. Could he help run a farm he could probably help make sure the guild didn't collapse. So with that he set out towards their headquarters |
