Bandits Attack [Request][Kon] Empty Sat Mar 18, 2017 7:46 pm

Kon

Dark bags hung under the nobleman as he rose from his bed unable to find solace in the sleep he attempted to go through. His success with sleeping an entire night without waking in terror so far had proven for naught, however with reach passing month his feelings were beginning to change from pure sense of fear to a dull thump of dread. Lifting off the spongy mattress, his feet touched the carpeted floor that covered the entire building he was residing in save for the bathroom and kitchen. The carpet itself was well maintained and nicely coloured to help contrast the painting that hung above. Twisting his foes in delight he made his way to the bathroom where he would perform his daily activities.

First he examined the bandages that were still bond to his left arm to prevent wound from opening up, happy with how it had healed albeit it leaving behind a nasty  bite mark, he unwound the bloody stained cloth completely before entering the bath, it was a simple bath and shower combo what separated it from others was it's size evidently designed for the use of two individuals he thought of the couple who owned the bed and breakfast he was staying in  and was surprised to say the least, they didn't seem like the kind of couple who'd approve of that behaviour but others he ignored it and continued with his shower. Patting dry his golden hair he slung a towel over his lower body and move over to a sink where he had placed a nondescript bag, include was a variety of utensils removing all of them he went to work. He was going to be shaving today, he hadn't for a number of days causing his face to appear ragged and that of a beast.

Turning on the hot water, kon placed the shaving brush under it cleaning it and moistening it for today's use whilst putting a block of soap into a mug, with the brush in one hand and mug in the other he went to work covering his face in a thick fluff in front of the mirror, Occasionally he would stop when applying it to certain areas and laugh otherwise he went about his business. Removing the deathly sharp razor blade he drew it down his his face in a clean precise starting from his sideburns and underneath his chin. After shaving for about 10 minutes still unaccustomed to shaving he felt the bathroom with minor cuts to his face. Stroking his bare chin, he moved over to his backpack and withdrew a tidy nicely pressed black suit, Donning this he collected his daily equipment in particular his staff which strongly resembled a pumpkin and left the building with his Blitzle companion Sparky following after him.

The beast had been surprising loyal to him thus far despite his evident annoyance to kon's magic as it bent the laws of both man and animal. “One could hardly blame beast or man for being scared.” Kon thought to himself as he walked out past the well kept garden with the wife of the couple who owned the B&B waving to him as he left. Pulling open the gate he made his way to the centre of town using the poorly maintained road. Kon could hardly blame Fernando for not looking after it,, especially considering he had may other issues to attend with, at least that's what he had been told when he spoke to several of the Marigold town residents. The weather was fair, occasional clouds patched over above him, it would be a number of days before they turned into rain clouds for now he thought he ignored them, but took note for when he would have to move to Era town in the next few days.

His stay in Marigold town would be cut short as it so happened however he would make the best of what he had left in the town as such he made his way to the most busy section of the town, the town centre where numerous merchant stalls sold their goods daily. His interest wasn't on purchasing items but instead he was looking to complete a request hopefully one with a bit more of a challenge. Today was a weekend, sunday to be precise as such many of the mages who would have otherwise snapped up the harder requests were instead asleep working off a hangover. As he was one capable of holding his liquor he had no such issue. Approaching the plain noticeboard he examined a far more broad range of jobs, one took his fancy.

Apparently there were some bandits in the area that were roughing up the merchants in the town, as the leader of Marigold he had a responsibility to maintain order in the land however his duties in the castle prevented him from getting out and about directly and his guards had been unable to gather any information regarding the people involved as such he had called for outside assistance as he had worked for him many times before knowing he would be able to pay him promptly he tore the note off the noticeboard before the still hung over mages who had dragged their feet to the board managed to take a look. Wanting to ensure the validity of the claims and reward of the request he made his way back to the castle which he had visited for the third time now, he had become so familiar with the guards there that he had developed a repour which allowed him to walked straight into the castle, though his presence was still announced. Fernando was surprisingly pleased to see him at first he was still confused however he promptly remembered what he had been commanded to do by the odd man. Get his daughter back. “Where is my beloved daughter I hope she is unharmed?” He said with a gleaming smile though quickly losing in strength unable to tell the man the truth he instead worked around the question.

“My lord I am yet to find her I have tried many times with all my contacts, I am here for another reason, you are having some issues with bandits I hear?” Kon redirected with all the authority he could demonstrating he would be no pushover. Willing to acknowledge kon's false attempts he thanked him from allowing the conversation to turn to the bandit issue. “Yes very recently in fact crime in this once peaceful town seems to have doubled there must be a catalyst behind it. The bandits seem to have become like ghosts attacking my people one minute, stealing their good the next without a trace for now I need you to take out these bandits preferably capture at least one of them.”

Interested to know how they or at least he would gain the attention of the bandits, he spoke to the man. “Ah now I'd like you to pose as a merchant, hide in plain sight with the rest of the community, act as if you were a wealthy noblemen that was from out of town and had lots of wares to sell to the community go to the local inn that way we can lure them to you in the meantime,  later you will go to a building that we have created as a front for you to make your stand against them, a number of my guards will be able to back you up on your signal.”
As this was a more challenging request, Kon shook the man and thanked his client causing surprise to now fall onto Fernando. “Boy why are you thanking me I should be thanking you and not even now?” Wanting to explain himself in the most clearest way possible he laughed with a touch of sadness. “I've been doing all these small time jobs this is just the kind of change in pace I needed thank you.”

Dismissing the necromancy from the castle. Kon began to develop the plan further with knowledge regarding nobility aiding him in it. He would pretend to be drinking far more than he should he to attract the attention of all the patrons, of course this wouldn't be for a while as such he would take his time and falsify a daily routine that would give anyone who was tailing him an idea of his activities occasionally he would go to the building Fernando mentioned to get a look at the place it was only until the mid evening he deposited his staff in a secret compartment near the front of the building as well as commanded his companion to remain with the guards who were stationed near the building.

Travelling to the inn was fairly simple in it own right, with signs leading to it littered across the town, small and had a homely feel to it. Entering the building, hearty smells resonated from the bar with a unmistakeable tint of dried blood rising up from the floor. “More than one or two fights have happened here.” Unconcerned with the boisterous behaviour of the townsfolk he approached the barkeep who wanted to know what he was drinking. “Umm can I grab a pint of dark lager.” Moments later a tall mug almost as big as his head came into his vision, looking at the man once more. “Is...Is this mine?” Laughing heartily he swore. “Of course it's bloody yours.” thought not wanting not to get drunk he didn't want to insult the man so he paid him and move to one of the tables where he would be closer to the other merchants

They had been informed of the plan that Fernando had concocted as such he meet Kon with open arms claiming long lost friendships and shared experiences they never had. Eventually all of them fell into a drunken stupor with one deliberately shouting out about Kon's wealth. Several heads turned for a variety of reasons though he couldn't make out who was involved with the bandits directly. Eventually the pub closed up forcing the merchants and kon to leave the building. Faking drunken behaviour he gradually made his way to the building recognizing he had been tailed the entire way. Pausing for a moment to collect himself, he eventually reached the building that had been set up clumsily entering the entry hall, he was swiftly thrown to the ground by unknown assailants who all managed to swarm into the building, all made it out before he could response bar one, he managed to hit this bandit on his shin with a quickly timed strike using the staff he pulled out from the compartment next to him. Both grumbled as they rose from their positions, before staring off at one another. “So you're the bandit responsible for these raids.” Not wishing to incriminate himself the scarred man said nothing instead spat down at the ground and charged at him head first.

As kon was wielding his staff, he was capable of summoning two of his summons in rapid succession before the man could even land a blow, each beast grabbed an arm, the wolf taking his right arm and the rat taking his left. The sheer weight of the tuo pulled him downwards binding him in place at least until Kon could get help from the guards that had been stationed out the back for so long. The beasts went perhaps a bit overboard however as the man quickly lost consciousness when they started to nab at the man too aggressively.

A dozen guards entered the building allowing the necromancer to dismiss the beast just as they reached him, with the bandit lying on the ground, they bound him. The bandit swiftly came to briefly to mention to Kon directly that he had no true allegiance with the other bandits and were merely using them as a means to earn some money for a weapon. His explanation to Kon was cut short with the arrival of Fernando himself who appeared to be delighted with the capture of the bandit, wanting to thank Kon he ordered one of his guards to pay him. As with many requests that came with a far greater challenge Kon received double the norm.
