Upon returning to the caravan, he slouched down near one of the wagon's and decided to sit there and wait for his teammates to arrive if they weren't already there when he got back from his first patrol. He yawned loudly, folding his arms, a bit tired from doing the most. His eyes were drooping a little bit but he had to remain awake, no matter how long it's been sinc ehe took a rest. After all, not only did he travel a good distance to get here but he hasn't had any rest in days. Maybe he could catch few moments of rest before his teammates got here. No big deal he thought, as he drifted to sleep.

Quickly making his way to the proper area, he saw someone- A familiar face, barely seen through the darkness. "Hey Shichi!" It was an abbreviated form of the mans actual name, a nickname that Finn had decided upon himself. Making his way over to the carriage, he saw that his companion had begun to make himself comfortable. Blowing air into his cheek to poof it out, feigning mild annoyance, Finn shrugged. "Okay, I'll just be doubly alert." Drawing his sword from his back, Finn began to patrol around the cart.
The occupant of the caravan had not even bothered to check if the two were out there. It was likely that with the fame of Blue Pegasus, he merely assumed that two mages from there would do their job and do it properly. Admittedly, it was a pretty safe bet. Still, Finn couldn't help that this was just further proof that he was stuck to these weak missions for now. He dreamed of the requests that would send him on journeys, fighting and going up against people who would be able to press him to his limits. His new weapon, his new armor, and his brother Jake would all finally be put to the real test!
Soon, Finn heard a noise. Stopping, fist clenching around his blade, he looked around for a few moments with obvious suspicion on his face. "Shichi, you hear that?" Regardless of whether or not the man liked the nickname, it was going to stick. "That's strange... We were the only ones near here." His voice was hardly a whisper as he looked around, trying to pinpoint the location of the noise. After a few more moments of silence, he finally realized where it had been coming from.
"It's coming from in there!" With a point of his sword, he indicated to the rather closely parked caravan right next to the one they had been tasked to guard. "You go ahead and check inside, I'll make sure to guard your back!" Preparing himself for anything, he felt an excitement boiling up in his chest. This was it. This could turn out to be the excitement that this quest needed!

As he started to a walk, he began to daydream about his fantasy of being able to take higher end jobs. He wouldn't mind having the fortune and fame as long as the fame didn't generate masses of people after him. He still would like to live a life of solitude, maybe with a few companions, preferably female but if that was too much to ask then he'd rather be alone. Well, maybe by then he would have some people he could trust eventually but all of that can come later, as for right now, he wanted to focus on the present. Eyes on the prey, not the horizon.... He thought to himself. After walking around, he had spotted a figure that he was familiar with. It turns out he wasn't hearing things and that voice he heard was real. He wasn't familiar with the name that was called out though but he was sure he heard a familiar voice.
He jogged over towards the figure, which turned out to be Finn, with his sword drawn and ready to strike something. He was pointing to one of the wagons they were suppose to be guarding. Uchida at least heard the second statement plain as day. "Alright, fine. I'll go in first but just so you know, if it does turn about to be something, i'll take all the credit for defeating it first. Better hurry up." he said in a rather smug tone and hurried over towards where Finn was pointing with his blade. Upon arrival, he had waited a bit near the caravan before spinning around towards the back of the wagon where the noise had been heard. He didn't really look at what was in it and began to shout. "OI, YOU PICKED THE WRONG CARAVAN TO PLUNDER THIS NIGHT!!!! YOUR LIVES ARE FORFEIT!!!! PREPARE TO DIE!!!!" As soon as Uchida finished his battle cry, he had began to set himself up to use a spell. Before he completed this action, he had heard the shrill cries and screams of a man and a woman. A small note, the male actually sounds like the more effeminate one and Uchida chuckled briefly before putting back on his usual scowl.
"Ugh, disgusting. Get a room you two, i nearly crushed both of you. GET OUT OF HERE!!! And don't return or i'm treating you as an enemy. Now, begone." he said a bit agitated to hide his disappointment. He watched the couple scurry off whilst holding hands. After the had disappeared from his view, Uchida had let out a long sigh and looked towards Finn.
"Man, what a disappointing night.
This is what i get for think this simple request would be any different. Whatever... Finn, you and your "brother" can handle things from here i take it. I'm going back to taking a nap." With that, he had walked away from the wagon and went back to his inital spot, sloching down and drifting back to sleep. "Wake me up when the night is over or if something fun happens!!!" he had yelled form a distance to Finn. He shivered a bit hoping his employer wasn't near by and heard him say that but eventually shrugged it off and drifted back to sleep.

As the sun was about to come up, they were approached by the same mercenaries that had been there when they were hired. They asked if there was any problems, and Finn simply told them there wasn't. After that was all said and done, they got confirmation that their job was done and paid in full for the job well done. With both Shichi and himself taking their cut from the job, that was it for another night.

Whatever. I'm glad i made it in time." he had grumbled to himself. Standing up, Uchida had began to dust himself off and meet his employers along side Finn. Their job was done apparently and it was time for them to receive their payment there payment and be done with it. On to the next menial task, he guessed, taking a stroll in the direction of where his next job may be.
