The fresh scent of coffee and bakery lingered in the air as soothing tunes played from the speakers that were hung up against the beige walls. The windows were ajar as warm breeze blew into the café, announcing the upcoming change of season – spring. Across the store was broad windswept streets paved in grass and mud and carpeted with wild flowers. It was a lovely day; not too warm, not too cold and it seemed just like the perfect weather to go out for a walk or do shopping or perhaps, even fishing.
In front of her was a cup of hot chocolate with a delicious plate of chocolate crepe cake. The café was a place Snow would stop by at least once every day until she was considered a regular by the store. The number of times she had visited the store was almost uncountable, for she was always there most of the time. The employees knew of her face and was even aware of her favourites on the menu. It was a location she preferred to be, apart from the local parks, gardens and rooftops around the area. She loved the ambience of the store; soothing and comfortable, along with the friendly service from the workers.
Snow had written a letter to a friend of hers the day before, requesting the person to meet her at the café to discuss some important matters. Frosty eyes glanced over at the clock pinned up against the wall and realised that there was still at least half an hour left before the appointed time since she arrived earlier than she had expected.
Using her fork, she took a bite from the cake, layered with crepes and frosted cream. Desserts were her favourite and Snow could never get tired of eating them from this café, for they were all so appetizing. Savouring the sweetness on her tongue, she sipped on her mug of hot chocolate and her eyes would shift back towards the view in front of her.
