There was no worse feeling in the world than the feeling you get when you enter a room with the fullest intention to do something, but as soon as your foot even crosses the border into that room, your mind pulls a complete blank and you cannot, for the life of you in God's good name, remember what it was that you had entered that room to do. That was pretty bad, and a feeling that rivaled it was knowing exactly what it was that you had intended to do, but not doing it anyway because humans, in their most natural state, were procrastinators of the highest level. That was true, for the most part. The Fire Dragon Slayer of Fairy Tail's feelings were something like this, a combination of the two, if you will, a sort of halfway point between not knowing one's true purpose and knowing fully well what one's true purpose was but not making any action to fulfill it. He felt this way when he traveled all the way to the Sieghart Mountains to participate in the Cell Games only to realise that the great threat known as Cell had already been exterminated by other forces; Houren's only respite was telling himself that had he been there, the destruction of that damn green bug would have been sped along. But he was glad anyways. As he left the Sieghart Mountains for Orchidia Town, the Fire Dragon Slayer's heart was heavy somewhat, probably because he hadn't been able to participate in the Cell Games and avenge his previous defeat to Cell. It was mostly just his pettiness getting the better of him though, he actually was genuinely happy that the threat known as Cell was gone now. It was some respite for those who lost loved ones to him, and while those lives could never be brought back with omnipotent wishing balls like you would have seen on television, it at meant that Cell could no longer take anymore lives. Yes, that put a smile on Houren's face indeed as he left the mountains and headed back to some proper civilization. The time that he had spent here, in truth, had been wasted and likely, those he could call his contemporaries had probably gotten slightly a bit ahead of him by now. He would need to work hard, harder than anybody else if he wanted to make up for that lost time; but that was exactly what he was planning on doing.
