As Kerii was resting on the bench, someone caught her eye. A rather tall, blonde haired man was at the park too, but this man was also a neko. Kerii found herself staring, probably rather rudely, but why should she be surprised by a neko? She was an elf, and elves were even less commonly seen among humans than nekos were.

Dressed in another suit similar that he had worn back in Crocus he made his way around the town, a few looked in confusion regarding his new change in appearance mainly the new cat ears that he had formed on top of his head, he couldn't help but have his ears react to it causing them to collapse onto his head. Ignoring the state of affairs, he continued walking eventually into a park, another out of place individual came into his sight, far less noticeably with only slight peaked ears. Wanting to establish a report with her simply through a shared difference from the rest of the society, he moved towards her. "I don't think I've ever met an elf before, don't take that as an insult by no means, If you wouldn't mind how about we have a cup of coffee and discuss a couple of things, couldn't help but notice you were looking at my own ears when I came through I'm more than happy to explain my own abilities as we drink."

Kerii realized that she had just agreed to go have coffee with a complete stranger. The least she could do was introduce herself to the neko and he the same back to her. "I'm Kerii by the way," she said, now waiting for the neko's reply.

Kerii and Kon entered the café and were greeted by some friendly café workers who led them to their table and gave them menus. For a café, it had a nice selection of drinks and small meals. As they were deciding what to eat, Kon asked what she, specifically as an elf, was doing in Magnolia. He gave a guess saying that she was here for some kind of diplomatic reason. It was a good guess, but it was very wrong. "Actually, I didn't even grow up in an elven town, so no. I'm actually here because I wanted to pick up some jobs outside of the town I live in. I'm a mage," she informed. There were mages everywhere, so she really didn't think that information was all too important, but it made for a good conversation. "And you? Or do you just live in Magnolia?" Either possibility was valid. He definitely seemed to be familiar with the town, but that didn't always mean that he lived there. He could just have visited the town before.

Being asked the same question he had little to hide himself, "Well I'm here because my girlfriend asked me to come here and in the time that I'm here I was going to complete a few jobs I couldn't help but notice there is always so many jobs to do here it's insane." His comment was directed towards that fact that Magnolia town seemed to be the hotspot for basically any job imaginable, he was impressed that the community had the money to even afford people doing so many requests however it wasn't up to him where it ultimately would good, upon further reflection it was likely as a result of the Fairy Tail guild building being in the town that influenced things. With little else said between them, Kon called forth the waiter once again and promptly spoke to him regarding what he likes to drink after allowing Kerii to decide for herself. "Yes, I would like an apple and pear cider with a lime wedge."

The waiter came by and asked what they would like to drink. Kon said that he would like an apple pear cider and then it was time for Kerii to order. "I'll just have a lemon water please," she replied, not really being a huge fan of some of the other things on the menu. After she ordered, she thought of another question to ask Kon. "So, you said that you were also going to do some jobs here. Are you a mage too?" It was entirely possible that he was not a mage and was just someone who completed jobs while using weapons to do the harder ones, but Kon just didn't seem like that type of person. At least, that's what she got from his first impression.

"I am really bad at this." He thought to himself, as he felt that the conversation had swift gone down hill though that was yet to be seen. Fortunately, the waiter returned with a swift stride carrying their drinks on a pan, placing Kerri's drink down first and then his own with a chilled glass. Wanting a healthy tip at the end of their service, he bowed and spoke to the two of them. "Enjoy your drink while you decide on something to eat."

Following Kon's response about his magic, he went on to ask Kerii if she was in some organization like a guild. Kerii nodded her head. She saw no harm in telling Kon what guild she belonged to. "I'm from Lamia Scale," she explained. "Are you from a guild as well?" It was a strong possibility. Lots of mages were in guilds, but then again, some weren't like Videns. Some were Rune Knights though, which weren't exactly always on the best terms with certain guilds that frequently caused damage to people's properties during quests.
Kon said that he couldn't help but notice the purple diamond shaped mark on her forehead and asked if it was cultural or related to her religion perhaps. "Oh, it isn't exactly cultural. Most elves don't have one, but some do. It's kind of a tradition within my family and a couple other ones as well. In my family, once someone learns their magic they're supposed to get this mark on their forehead as a symbol of their magic and once we're strong enough, a certain spell is supposed to react with it in some way. Do Nekos have any sort of traditions or...?" Kerii honestly didn't know much about Nekos, but from what she could tell, they were generally accepted than elves. They seemed to have stronger relationships with humans than elves did.

These two facts revealed a far amount of about Kon though how much would be read into them only time would tell. Kerii however openly discussed the meaning of the marking on her forehead, saying it was just a part of her own family rather than a societal thing. "Understandable." He commented middle way through, just as he was questioned about his own race and whether it had its own significant differences from both elves and humans. He didn't really know himself having just become a Neko reluctantly only just recently. "I'm unfamiliar with the Neko society on the whole as I am not a natural born one merely created by accident, as for whether i enjoy being one well let's just say i haven't got used to the tail and ears."

When Kerii explained the mark on her forehead was a tradition through her family and was not directly linked to elves, Kon said that it was understandable. However, when Kerii asked Kon if nekos had any sort of traditions, he said that he was not a natural born neko, which surprised Kerii. She didn't know that people could become nekos. She simply thought that everyone was just born one. Kon did say that he hadn't gotten used to his ears and tail yet.
As Kerii drank some more of her water, she came to realize that she had forgotten all about the time. "Oh my gosh, I completely forgot about the time." Kerii looked at the wall clock in the café. "I'm really sorry Kon, but I have to go." Kerii quickly got out of her seat and hurried out the door. She felt bad for not giving Kon a better explanation, but if she didn't hurry, she really was going to be late.

With him all alone, he couldn't feel slightly downtrodden of course he had Alice and a few other close friends but he wanted to expand his horizons. "Oh well, I guess I'll just have some lunch by myself before returning to the bed and breakfast." Casually drinking his cider, one of the waiters came to him slightly perplexed about the disappearance of his dining partner, he saw little issue responded with simply. "She had some pressing matters to attend with, most likely a job that she had taken as was behind schedule." The waiter nodding understanding spoke to him once more. "Will you still be eating or just the drink?" Chuckling to himself, he responded swiftly. "No, I think I'll just grab something quick and then head out on my own, just a side of loaded fries will be sufficient." Noting down the request he promptly went to the kitchen, eating the aforementioned meal, Kon left the cafe feeling content with his meal selection.
