Phoebe had done a couple of things after the job for Khalash, where she at this point had lastly seen King. She had done a lot on her looks and basically her hair. Which had paid off for her own good feelings, she had never expected to be so.. unsecure about herself since she left Orchidia and she didn't want that anymore. She looked at her reflection and clenched her fists while a happy smile appeared on her face. Right, she would be a lot braver and demand herself to do the things she wanted to do. She had to think about herself as well; she curled a hair lock around her finger before simply stepping away from her reflection. She needed to do a job today, Bella had asked her to come over. She had met Bella a lot the last couple of days because of the fact that she was working on herself.

She wore a dark red dress and high heel boots in a black colour, the boots reaching her knee and she looked one more time at her reflection, knowing she had no time for that. She was sure Bella would give her a proper job during the day, so she could wear these clothes. With a twirl in front of the mirror, she grabbed her black purse, the key of the hotel room and headed out. She was still dressed like it was summer but for the fire mage, it didn't matter how the weather was, she would always be warm. She looked left and right when she exit the hotel to not bump into anyone and hurried towards the bath house as fast as her heels could carry her.

When she arrived, Bella was already waiting outside for her and she handed her a stack of fliers, "Please, I need more customers. You know how it works here Phoebe, that's why I asked you." and she walked back into the bath house to leave Phoebe with a huge stack of fliers that she could barely hold.

It was a lovely morning in Magnolia, despite the biting cold and frigid, harsh gales that blew from the North. Everyone would be seen in their sweaters and coat, preparing for the coldest days in summer. While some people loathed the winter, he yearned for the season. Snow was something that never existed in the country he originated from and it was an extremely rare sight to see people entirely clothed, unlike the Desiertians, who preferred to expose their skin, to an extent. King would normally be seen wearing his traditional clothing; a large piece of cloth overlapped onto each other, fixed with a belt by his waist to secure it. Albeit, after being in Fiore for months, he had finally adapted into the country’s style of clothing and now, would be seen wearing a thick grey sweater with black jeans.

Somehow, King found himself wandering over to the only bath house in Magnolia, thinking that hot springs might be able to warm his body up. It was then he would see a rather familiar face; dark haired, speaking to another woman. From his location, he could somewhat tell who the person was but was still quite unsure, since the female looked slightly different. Betting on his chances of getting the right person, he called out, ”Phoebe?” With his hands casually shoved into the pockets of his jeans, he walked over to her, wondering if she was here for the same reason as his.

She had just nodded to Bella, understanding the job. Especially because she had been here a lot lately and she would understand the issue Bella had and even though they weren't officially friends, she cared for Bella and wanted to do something in return for her help so she nodded, "Don't worry Bella, I would do it." that's when she heard a voice she would recognize everywhere and she took a step back from Bella and turn her face to where the sound came from to look at King.

She pushed a lock of hair behind her ear to make sure it wouldn't blow in front of her face when she tried to look perfect. She hated herself for a short second for she gave in to the weaker version of herself that she swore to get rid of, "Hello King." She said more casual than she thought she could muster but it worked and she held on to the fliers, "Are you here for the bathhouse?" Bella looked at her and at King. She wished Bella would go back into the building but apparently she didn't as she was wondering probably if Phoebe would get the first customer already and here Phoebe wanted to simply talk to King. She had not seen him in a long time. What would he think? Why would she care, she did this for herself!

She couldn't help but smile though, she was still curious of course.

”Hello King.”

It seemed that King wasn’t mistaken after all – she was indeed Phoebe, but somehow, she looked slightly different, growing more beautiful every day – not that she wasn’t stunning when they first met. There was a painful tug inside his chest and he was worried; worried that some nice gentleman might sweep Phoebe off her feet. King was aware that he was nothing more than a friend (perhaps a bit more than that) and he had no say in what she should do or shouldn’t, nevertheless, he couldn’t hide his frustration of seeing her being so gorgeous. The young man absently ran his fingers through his hair and approached her as he finally stood by his side.

”Yes. I didn’t expect I would stumble upon you.”

He smiled, his eyes creasing softly as the corners of his lips tugged upwards. The moment Bella noticed him she shoved a pile of fliers into his hands without his consent. ”Well, since you’re here, you might as well be a good assistance as well and help out handing these fliers, yeah?” With that, the woman nonchalantly walked away and returned to her bath house. ”By any chance, are you here for this?” He raised the stack of fliers in his hand and directed the question at the dark haired beauty with his eyebrow raised.

Phoebe smiled at King and nodded, "Neither ddi I, it's been quite a while since I last saw you." Which was probably lost in the air as Bella took the stage to give more fliers but this time to King and she hid her smile because it was funny to see that Bella had no idea what.. wait there was actually nothing going on. She was daydreaming like a teenager, something she had sworn off, "I basically became her friend and now she offers me free bath moments and jewels if I do jobs for her, so I agreed to do this." she answered to King when he asked if she came for this.

She looked at the stack of fliers and decided that since Bella left, it was time for her to do the job. "She wants us to hand out the fliers and put it on bulletin boards. First stop is the Southgate park, or would you want to split up?" She shouldn't push herself to be with him all the time, after all she had not seen him for months okay weeks but still it felt like a very long time. So she took a few steps towards the park and looked over her shoulder at King, wondering if he would come along.

”Oh, I see. Free baths are nice.”

The man declared, and the sudden urge of having a warm bath in this cold weather grew with each moment. After all, he came here all the way to enjoy the hot springs but, now that Phoebe was here the baths can wait for later. When Phoebe suggested if they should split to deliver the fliers, his response was almost instant, ”No. I prefer staying with you.” It has been a long while since they’ve seen each other and he wasn’t going to let this moment with the girl he was courting with all go to waste. With that, the two headed towards the South Gate Park to hang up some fliers. It didn’t take them long to arrive to their destination and somehow, Magnolia seemed much emptier than usual.

Perhaps, it was due to the winter season that everyone was reluctant to go out to the park or just simply have a walk around – unlike him. He enjoyed long walks and observing his surroundings whether it was day or night and no matter the season it was.

What a shame, and it’s a beautiful sight, he thought.

Retreving the fliers from its stack, he quickly pinned them up on the bulletin board in the area. Now that the first location was completed, they prepared to move to the next destination. ”Where do we have to go next?”

Phoebe was actually happy to hear that King wanted to stay with her but she tried to tell herself not to see too much into it and she simply smiled and nodded and told him to go to the south park with her and they walked together. While he hung up the flier on the bulletin board she tried to give people that were around, there weren't many, a flier. She tried to talk a little, mentioning how nicely warm the hot springs were but it didn't really work at this time of the day.

When King was done she turned back to him, "Bella suggested somewhere near the Fairy Tail guildhall. I bet they would need some hot springs from time to time." She grinned because she actually doubted it but it was fun to walk around with King and well she find it nice to see him again. When they found a good place to hang the flier, she placed it on the board and turned to King, "Last Bella wanted me to ask Olly if we can hang a flier in his shop." It wasn't that difficult she thought, she saw Olly a lot of times because he served one of the best teas and thus she was sure it wouldn't be a problem but of course, she first had to ask.

She handed out some fliers at the street as well to make sure the whole stack was gone. It felt a bit like a job in Orchidia. To welcome people to the town so she wasn't being too difficult about it.

When everything was done the two of them returned to Bella who thanked the both of them and offered them a free session at the herb bath, she wondered if they would want to share and Phoebe turned bright red, well.. she would wait for King his answer. She was glad with the reward anyway.

After King hung up the flier, Phoebe informed him that their next location was the Fairy Tail guild hall. His eyebrows shot up in curiosity and it excited him, visiting one of the famous guild in Fiore. One of his aims was to meet at least one member from every guild that ever existed in the country, to see what it was like to be in a guild. Who knows, perhaps he might find himself joining one in the future – a far one. However, he was leaning more towards the good side (mostly due to Phoebe), though, he had always been curious about the dark guilds; it suited his nature more than the goody guilds. The two walked towards their next location, chatting about whatever came to their minds along the way. It was pleasant to see Phoebe again and there was something about her – something that tamed the darkness within him.

There weren’t much people near the guild, maybe all the members were travelling or they were simply just inactive. Whatever the reason was, his main priority was to finish handing out the fliers. Once it was done, there was only one single destination left on the list, which was the Olly’s bakery. He heard splendid rumours about the shop but never got an opportunity to visit the store. ”Let’s go then,” the young man responded with a smile and began headed to Olly’s bakery. As expected from the rumours, there was a long queue of customers waiting outside to enjoy some of the best masterpieces from Olly, himself. A smile grew on King’s face as he promised himself that he would try one of the cakes from this place. He was that much of a dessert lover but everyone should at least have a taste of the best bakery around, right?

Once the task was done, they returned back to the Magnolia bath house to report the accomplishment of the quest and was even rewarded with a free bath, much to his surprise. He had wanted one from the beginning and it seemed that his wish had come true, although, it would be marvellous if he was allowed to share the bath. Would Phoebe feel uncomfortable? – he wondered.
