So tell the gun to sin Like an angel with the dirty wings Tainted by tastes of the soul This is another level Deep in | A tranquil peace latched itself onto the air that surrounded the docks of hargeon as idle chatter and friendly banter echoed through the vicinity. The warmth of the sun was evident as it gazed down on the citizens of Hargeon as it was unable to penetrate through the glistening water which simply shied away and glimmered underneath it's stare. The gentle breeze picked up, waltzing through the skies as it caressed the citizens before mischievously slipping past them. People went about their usual days as groups of men and women lingered around which others moved from one place to another. Some simply came to enjoy themselves which others were present due to their livelihood which required them haul up large boxes in groups of twos and threes before proceeding to load them onto the cargo ship. They all seemed to be enjoying themselves as smiles were visible on their faces and laughter occasionally escaped their lips. The scent of the fresh and free ocean evaded her nose as she strolled through the docks, letting her lilac eyes observe everything that went on around them as they wandered from one side to the other. Long strands of blonde air danced along with the wind as they desperately tried to escape the elastic band that restricted it's movement. Lifting a hand to push aside the tickling strands of hair, she placed the straw between her plump lips before taking a rather large sip of the liquid that sat in the plastic cup. The burst of coffee and chocolate in her mouth brought a satisfying feeling but her monotonous expression barely displayed a difference. Clad in a simple pair of jeans that adorned her slender legs, she continued sauntering through. Her loose burgundy shirt wildly shook along with the wind which pushed it to embrace her torso. The sound of her sneakers colliding against the concrete floor drowned within the large sirens and sounds that the ships made as they announced their departure. The small street that pierced through the docks, separating the beginning of the tiers and the crowded area of the town was scarcely populated as people slipped past onto either side. The blonde wasn't one to make moves but she was indeed someone who noticed those around her. Her lilac gaze fell onto a young man, shorter than herself as he frantically looked around in apprehension and aggressiveness. Sipping away the last bit of her drink, she shook the plastic container to ensure that there was none left. With a sad sigh, she dumped it into the nearest trashcan that she saw. Running a hand down her attire once to smooth it out, she intended to look a bit more presentable as she sauntered over to the man who sparked her curiosity. Her hair swayed from left to right as she moved. It appeared that the man noticed her approaching prior to her halting her steps before him. His uniform seemed rather large on his body as he carried with him a long spear as a weapon for basic protection, "Yes, miss, may I help you? |

So tell the gun to sin Like an angel with the dirty wings Tainted by tastes of the soul This is another level Deep in | Looking at him in the eyes, she spoke, "It appears that you're the one who needs help." His eyes widened slightly as he let out a small, awkward chuckle, "No, no. It's nothing a citizen such as yourself needs to concern yourself with." He seemed rather determined to do his job himself but she couldn't help but feel a little bit of pity towards him. With a sigh, she folded her arms over her chest and looked him in the eye before allowing her facial contractions and the pointing of her gaze target his visible black insignia that confirmed his alliance with the Rune Knights, "I, too am a Rune Knight. A apprentice." And truly she was, only an apprentice. However, this seemed to tug at her incentive, driving her to want to work harder and harder until she reached the top. It was her dream, not to obtain power, no, but to be someone who could make an influence. She still had a long way to go, her goal etched into her mind as now, she was yet again reminded of why she wanted to become a part of the Knights that she herself, never liked. His eyes widened as her words crashed into him like a truck. His mouth opened, only to close as this movement continued on for a few seconds until it appeared that realization finally set in. Straightening his posture, he held his spear perpendicular to the ground as his free hand raised to his forehead in the form of a salute. "My apologies mam, Page Knight, Colin Simmers at your service." So he was a page knight. That made a lot of sense to the female as she assumed that he must still be new as this wasn't a common occurrence among the Knights, not that she knew of at least hence, she was quite taken aback. Shaking her head slightly, Xandra motioned for him to put his hand back down as after a moment of hesitance, he did but his posture refused to shake, "There's no need for all this. You can relax." A second or two passed before he let out the breath he'd been holding and allowed his spine to contract a bit as he loosened his pose. Simmers let out a small, cheeky chuckle as his hand raised to scratch the back of his neck, beyond the shoulder-length bush of brunet hair. "Haha, sorry, I'm just a little nervous." The nervousness and unease he felt was rather understandable. The blonde couldn't blame him as she was not only his superior, but also an individual with utmost difficulty in expressing her thoughts and emotions through her facial expression that nearly always, remained unchanged. So far, in her whole life, she had only felt that level of comfort with one person who had become a friend, close enough for her to subconsciously allow her expressions to change. Shaking herself out of her thoughts, she didn't bother commenting on his statement before she proceeded to order him, "Update me on the situation here. What is going on?" For the female, conversing when the topic of interest wasn't herself was so much simpler and easier, which is often why she found working a lot easier than actually socializing with people outside of the parameter of her work. |

So tell the gun to sin Like an angel with the dirty wings Tainted by tastes of the soul This is another level Deep in | Nodding her head, she took in the words that were let out from the young man's mouth, explaining the situation to her. He proceeded to state some unneeded nonsense about how nervous and surprised he was to receive an order from the Lord of Hargeon. It appeared that he needed someone to patrol the streets for him as he had to update the Lord about the present situation. The blonde didn't mind as she let him ramble on. She was content as long as she was receiving the information she had asked for. Sighing, she placed her finger on her chin, "I see", she murmured to herself before flickering her gaze away from the ground and back at him, "And you were worried because you wouldn't be able to do it alone, I assume?" It appeared that she had hammered the nail in the right spot as his eyes widened slightly before his expression morphed into one laced with guild, "yes, I'm sorry. I'm incompetent." Moving his eyes away from her own lilac ones in shame, she refused to shift hers as she took the time to observe him. "It's quite alright. I'll help." Simmer's face lit up as he looked at her with a look that said 'really?' and she refused to reply. Without further ado, with as minimum words as possible, she sent the page Knight off to do his duty as she decided to start the patrol. Her first target area were the docks. She herself, had been there quite a few times but never really bothered thoroughly checking and investigating the area. Once the page had left, she began the duty she agreed to perform. Strolling over the concrete ground, she let her lilac gaze carefully scrutinize every individual. Everything appeared to be normal as no signs of any illegal activity were evident but she could never be too careful. It wasn't like her to let her guard down. Alas, she did manage to stumble across something that seemed a little odd. Halting her steps, she stood there observing two men who could easily rule off as suspicious in her books. A large, black haired male seemed to be passing a packet containing a white substance to another man, much smaller than he was. The recipient seemed to be much older and chubbier as he ruffled his mustache before looking around suspiciously, as if watching out for any onlookers before attempting to accept the parcel. His eyes widened as he saw the female who was now, trying to walk towards him. Muttering something to his acquaintance, which couldn't reach her ears, the black haired man also looked at her before both the men, bolted in the opposite direction. Her eyes widened as she hastened her steps, breaking out into a run until she reached the area where the two previously stood. Both the men were in her sight and the blonde decided that the wiser idea would be to run after the older man but it was then that she spotted the package that they were trading lying half way between the black haired individual and herself. It could serve as proof and so she changed her decision at the last moment, bolting behind the younger man who appeared to be in his mid-thirties. Bending down, she quickly picket up the package which gave off a strong smell. her eyes enlarged as she realized that it was drugs. Without halting her steps any further, she proceeded to pursue the man who seemed to have a lot to tell her. |

Once the target is hit, the spell will cause D-rank shocking damage. | Her steps fastened as she seemed to be running at the same speed as the man, but unfortunate for was the fact that he had a head start as he was approximately ten meters ahead of her. Luckily they hadn't entered the populated area, hence giving her enough of a chance to catch him but the racing of her heart quickened as she noticed that in front of him, roughly about thirty meters away was the beginning of the town where people swarmed and walked on the streets. If he were to enter there, her chances of catching him would be equivalent to none. She had to do something. Halting her steps, the blonde placed her left leg backwards before murmuring, "Lightning Bolt." Sparks of lightning embraced her entire body as she felt the adrenaline run through her. Without a second to spare, she dashed forward, much faster this time as the distance between the two decreased significantly with each step. Once she was close enough, she stopped yet again, quickly crouching down and placing the palms of her hands on the dirty ground. "Rapid Shock." A string of vibrant, yellow lightning launched from the position of her hands towards the male who was still attempting to increase the three meter distance from her, before it joined with the soles of his feet. His movement halted as he shook violently for a fraction of a second as the lightning struck him. His steps had completely halted as he fell to the ground, groaning in pain. Standing back up, she sauntered towards him with her usual long strides before standing over him as her shadow blocked the gaze of the sun from attacking him. He looked up at her with grey irises as they held a bit of fear while she looked down at him with her own lilac ones laced with a stern look. He attempted to get back up but her feet placed itself onto his hand, exerting pressure on it as he let out a groan of pain. Lifting up her foot, she lightly pushed the side of his torso to move him into a straight position with his front facing her as he laid there. Another groan escaped as she placed her foot on his chest, restricting his movement before holding up the packet of drugs. She required a confession from him so obliviousness was her answer, "What is this?", she demanded before proceeding to exert more force on her foot when she heard no answer, or heard the answer she wasn't looking for. "Drugs, it's drugs." If he had admitted this much, perhaps he would admit more. "Let's make a deal, if you tell me about the man you were selling this to, I'll let you go." Alas, that was all that was required for the loose-mouthed man to give away the information he had. He was one of those people who valued his life over the life of others, over the aspect of loyalty. He was one of those people that she hated most but Xandra wasn't really complaining as it made her job much more easier. Introducing the older man as someone named Reagan Hullston, the man proceeded to enlighten her about his shenanigans. Apparently, he was a smuggler who transports wares from the pirates outside Hargeon to be sold elsewhere for the profit that is to be made. She held her end of the deal as she let the man go, keeping the evidence to herself as she walked back, only to meet the page Knight who had finished his rounds. Tossing the packet to him, she watched as he caught it, staring at it in confusion before asking if they were drugs. She updated him on the event that had occurred, notifying him about the smuggler before telling him to go and update the Lord of Hargeon about this issue and so he left to do what she had ordered. She had done her part of the job and now, she was content, hoping that the man would be caught soon. It was a shame she couldn't do it herself. |
