Personal Name: Fiametta Barone Age: 20 Gender: Female Sexuality: Bisexual Class: Beserker Rank: D-rank Guild: Guildless Tattoo: Situated on her stomach, at the centre of her core. Face: Takumi Mukai (The Idolmaster) Appearance Height: 173cm Weight: 66kg Hair: Brown Eyes: Hazel Overall: Standing a bit taller than average, and with a healthy athletic build, Fia's appearance can create an initially imposing impression, with the word 'big' being enough to describe most aspects of her appearance. Fiammetta keeps her long brown hair at a bit more than armpit-length, and rarely makes any attempts to style it. Though, she keeps it tidy enough that it doesn't get in her face too often. The centered parting of her hair frames her mature and attractive facial features, particularly her wide and lively hazel eyes. Her other features are just as vibrant and expressive, particularly her large mouth and the huge smiles its capable of, showing off some rather sharp canines. Her solid and big facial features seem to give off an air of maturity and strength. In terms of figure, Fiammetta is equally as mature, as can often be plainly seen. Far from delicate or doll-like, her sturdy frame and generous bust can often have people overestimating her age. Also notable is her slightly tanned skin-tone, a result of being someone who thrives in any manner of heat. When it comes to clothing, Fiammetta's not too picky about what she wears. She'll usually just throw on whatever she has, but does at least make an attempt to wear clothing supports her 'rough and tough' image. This includes long jackets, loose pants, bandaging around her torso, and often times some fingerless gloves for both style and practicality. Extra: Has her fair share of scars from growing up in a rough neighborhood with little available healing. This includes: - Scarring along the knuckles of her right hand - A burn scar on her lower back - A thin scar on the back of her neck - Scars from lacerations on her left leg And a few other, more minor markings. Personality Personality: Fiammetta Barone, or 'Fia' as she prefers to be called, can seem like a pretty straight-forward person on the outset. Most people who see her would describe with a single word: angry. Not the deep, trauma-induced, darker kind of anger, but the generally hot-headed and short-tempered rage that one would find in your typical thug. She seems to be in an almost constant state of pissed-off, always frustrated with one thing or another. But within these strong emotions, there also lies an undoubted passion, a headstrong force that Fia applies to everything, fueled by the release of this rage. He anger often festers as a result of some deeper anxiety or frustration, so she energetically takes on any chance to release it, however, her methods are rarely constructive, and moreso destructive. That is, she likes to fight, and when she can't fight, she'll settle for any form of exercise or movement. Her thrillseeking nature is often what drives many of the less-important decisions in her life. And yet, this motivation is actually secondary to Fiammetta's core drive. If one was to take the time and effort required to become acquainted with Fiammetta, they would discover a surprising common them in the core motivations behind her bigger decisions. They would find that Fiammetta Barone is, first and foremost, a family-oriented person. Though her definition of 'family' differs from others, she is nonetheless incredibly dedicated to her many siblings. This love can seem unconventional at times, with her often seeing frustrated and angry with them, however, this only arises because she is so concerned about their safety and wellbeing. It wouldn't be wrong to call her 'overprotective' of her family, though she wouldn't take kindly to such a suggestion. Instead, she'd merely say she's just mimicking the other important family figure in her life - her surrogate father. The only real role model in her life, Fia draws a lot of her current image from her father. With boundless respect for him and the protection he offered, Fia has cultivated herself to become a proud warrior, one worthy enough to take over his role as the protector of her siblings. Victory is only so sweet to her because it means she has succeeded in this aim. Though any actual interactions with her father usually consist of mostly mutual yelling, this is only a result of their stubborn natures, and there is deep paternal connection between them. It is both this connection, and the bond with her siblings, that has shaped Fia into who she is, greatly influencing how she interacts with others. Outside of her family, most of Fia's interactions with other people are pretty strained. To put things lightly, she doesn't make friends easily, resulted from a combination of 2 primary factors: First is the tough image she always puts on, usually preventing her from being openly friendly or extroverted, in spite of her usual golden-hearted nature. Secondly, Fia has some trust issues. Thanks to her past, Fia has great difficulties trusting in anyone outside of her family, her single-minded devotion to protecting them preventing her from taking the risk of befriending someone else. However, if one can get past these factors, it isn't impossible for Fia to make bonds, only very difficult. But those bonds she does make, well, they become yet another part of her family. And it is these very few people that will see many of the softer sides of Fia hidden beneath her rugged exterior. Her family-centric virtues have resulted in as strong sense of morality, centred around defending the weak. Though she conceals this golden-hearted nature, it underpins many of her actions. She's also rather easily flustered, as she is very unused to exposing her deeper feelings. Lastly, she's a soft spot for 'cute' things, a fact that she'd admit to basically no one. All in all, one word just isn't enough to describe Fia. She's more than angry: She's passionate, stubborn, proud, family-oriented, golden-hearted and strong-willed. An energetic fighter, and a devoted protector. That, along with some less public issues of hers, is what makes up Fiammetta Barone. Likes:

Although she is, of course, the central figure in her own story, that tale would not have even started without the actions of one man: Baldo Barone. Although much of his past has been lost to the erosion of time, there are a few things known for certain about Baldo Barone. It is known that he was a member of the infamous guild 'Phantom Lord' since a young age. It is known that while undertaking a certain task during this career within the guild, he ended up taking the life of a great many people in a small town. Whether or not he intended to cause such death and destruction, it is not known. It is known, however, that among the wreckage, he discovered a single newborn child. It is known that, whether out of guilt, curiosity, or some other motivation, Baldo Barone took the child in, and swore to protect them. He did not know her name, but knows that when he found her, she was in the middle of a blaze of his creation. So she became 'Fiammetta', or 'little fiery one'. However, for a busy man like Baldo Barone, it was simply not feasible to be in the constant care of a newborn child. So he established a small home for her in West Fiore, even went out of his way to hire a couple caretakers for her while he was off doing work within the Guild. Soon enough, time passed, as it always does. The young Fia grew old enough to understand the words of the caretakers, who told her stories of how wonderful, proud, and tough father. It's certainly no mystery how she came to admire him. And, soon enough, she'd find she wasn't the only one. Baldo Barone was certainly a mysterious man. Only a few years after taking in Fiammetta, another couple of orphans were taken to the home, their origins also uncertain. Perhaps it was more repentance for his continued sins as a member of Phantom Lord, perhaps that was why he became so dedicated to these children. More orphans arrived, more caretakers were hired, and by the time Fiammetta was about 8-years-old, she was the oldest in what had become one of West Fiore's most infamous orphanages. Fiammetta's early childhood was unorthodox, to put things lightly. Though she never grew terribly attached to her caretakers, she became utterly fascinated and inspired by stories of her 'father', and whenever he came to visit, she would be practically inseparable from him. He would talk to her about his feats, teach her how to be tough and strong like him, but at a price: She would have to be a big sister to the younger children at the orphanage. And so it came to be, that Fia become the oldest sister in her strange little family. Of course, it wasn't an easy task, espescially with how quickly she learned from her father. While many of the caretakers weren't a fan of her headstrong and overly angry method of caring, Fia herself became something of a hit with the younger kids, who came to admire her as second only to Baldo Barone himself. For a time, things seemed easy. Baldo kept doing his shady business, kept funding the orphanage enough to support its residents. But financial troubles were the least of their worries, as rumors began to spread about the orphanage's benefactor. Needless to say, kids who were supposedly being raised by a member of Phantom Lord weren't exactly the most popular, and often became a target for bullying, and occasionally, harassment by the keepers of the law - the Rune Knights. And so began one of Fia's greatest hatreds, the hate towards those who looked down on others needlessly, and those who judged effortlessly. Fortunately, bullying wasn't too much of a problem for her. She'd learned to fight from Baldo, and was more than willing to do so in her own name, and on behalf of the other kids. It earned her a few scars over the years, but as far as she was concerned, it was well worth it. Once again, time passed. Scars were earned, Fia's hatred for the Rune Knights and bullies continued to fester, and Baldo Barone continued to teach important lessons to his 'daughter', shaping her to be more like him every day. Their family was close, indestructible and inseparable. Even if the world was against them, Fia, her siblings, and her father all had each other. Or, so it seemed. Dirty money could only keep them going for so long, and soon enough, an aging Baldo Barone, afflicted with worsening illness, began to have more difficulty securing what was necessary to fund the orphanage. And, naturally, that meant more losses in his increasingly desperate attempts. Eventually, he was losing more than he was winning, and in a cruel twist of fate, was removed from Phantom Lord in light of his continued failures. Needless to say, it only made their situation worse. Although Fia offered and begged to help him, Baldo assured Fia that she need not worry about such things. It was his duty to take care of her, after all, not the other way around. Of course, Fia was infuriated by this, but was utterly helpless at the same time. She couldn't stop her father from continuing his desparate attempts, nor she could prevent his eventual failure and incarcaration. It seemed like a good idea at the time, stealing from a noble. Well, it didn't, but that was the length Baldo had to go to secure enough funds. Whether on purpose or not, significant damage was caused in his attempted burglary, and it was with little hesitation that the Rune Knights captured and imprisoned him. They'd nowhere enough money to pay for his bail. The event was devastating to Fia and the other members of the orphanage. But even in her grief, Fia was taught an important lesson by Bado. He'd left a note behind, a single message recorded, to be read if he'd failed: It was an apology for his actions, for his failure. And a simple request: That Fia take his place, do what she can to fund the orphanage, but not stray down his path. And so, with steeled resolve, Fia one day bid farewell to the orphanage, to her siblings. There was enough money to keep them going for a short while longer, but she promised to get more. To get enough to keep the orphanage open for centuries, to get enough to bail Baldo out of the dungeon, to get enough to bring things back to the way they were. She, of course, had no idea how she was going to do any of that, but set out nonetheless, her journey beginning in the first opportunity for profit that came to her mind: Baska Town. Only time will tell where her journey will take her. Reference: Esperia |
