Gusts of wind blew past as the blonde Knight walked past the large wooden doors, exiting the barracks of the Rune Knights clad in her white uniform. Her hair tugged upwards in a tight ponytail, allowing it flow over her back as strands covered her forehead. She sighed, taking a look at the cluster of papers within her hands. They were all job requests sent out by individuals asking for help from mages, and she was definitely one of the people supposed to help.

She strolled through the street, letting herself be mesmerized by the scent of delicacies that lingered in the air, fuming out from nearby cafeterias. Shutting her eyes for a moment, she allowed herself to be engulfed by her surroundings, unknowingly and rather clumsily almost tripping over air. Xandra's eyes flew open as she hoped no one had noticed her slight moment of embarrassment. However, it didn't take her long to regain her posture as her straight, unchanging face helped quite a bit.

Taking a seat on a wooden bench close to the building she just left, she stretched her leg in order to check if she ended up hurting herself. Luckily, that didn't seem to be the case. Drifting her sight towards her right, she saw an orange haired female seated, engrossed within her book. Lilac eyes turned away but it took a few seconds for a slightly weird feeling of familiarity sink.

She looked back up at the individual, recognizing her as the lieutenant of Rune Knights. Never before had they met, but the blonde at least knew what she looked like. Her name however, was an entirely different matter. Xandra was never one to pay much attention to her superiors but considering the fact that she was clad in her uniform, it wouldn't hurt to say hello. Taking a risk, she opened her mouth, "Lieutenant?"

Lacie had been reading this book, over and over again. It had been a while that she had taken a break and sit down and read. The walls of the inn had come closer and closer, giving her a feeling that she was being locked up. So much for taunting your brother-in-law, bumping into your sister and cousin. She needed to take a break and let the rest of her plans unfold and apart from that she needed to work on the new set of spells and magic because it had all turn out to be very different than she had always imagined. Her body was perhaps not healed but since she was now realizing the mistake she made considering her magic from the divine, she also felt better.

She had vaguely noticed that someone was sitting on the bench that she was using. She just sort of zoned in for that, making sure she would be aware if this person talked to her but not so much paying attention that she could read on. But she heard a voice and it came from the person next to her and this person called her or well.. called someone that liked her. Her eyes stared at the last word in her book, full of coincidence it was one word; lies. This immediately made a plan unfold in her mind and she looked up and brushed the streaks of red hair out of her face. This person either had met Alice briefly or not at all, she was dressed in a uniform from the Rune Knights that Lacie came familiar with, "Yes?" she asked trying to figure out how her sister would react, so she tried open and friendly.

Perhaps she would be able to figure out more information about the Rune Knights for Lucifer. Because up till now she had not had the luck.

Turns out she was right. The slight hesitation she had possessed now disappeared upon her answer. The woman seated beside her was indeed the Lieutenant whose name Xandra did not know. Socializing with others, be it from the same guild, had always proven to be difficult for the female but over the past few weeks, she strangely found herself opening up a lot more than she had expected. Perhaps it was the mere thought that the entire concept of others having to start conversation in order for there to be interaction was what she deemed as unfair.

But what now? She was unsure of what to say next. When she enunciated her thought, she had probably assumed that she would be wrong but that wasn't it. Strangely enough, the ginger-headed female she sat beside gave off an unusual feeling. The Knight felt more unsure as the seconds ticked past slowly. However, assuming that it was just the paranoia she often felt, she decided that it was better to introduce herself after all.

Straightening her hunched back, she turned her body towards the individual, "I don't think we have formally ever introduced ourselves." She put out her hand for a shake, "I'm Xandra Queen, an Apprentice Knight." Although communication had become easier for her, all the while, her voice carried the same usual and monotonous tone that it always had. This was her chance to get to know her guildmate, her superior better and yet, this unsettling feeling wouldn't go away.

Open and friendly was definitely not her favourite way of approaching things but if she could do that behaviour to Judina her one and only friend, to her brother Waylon than why couldn't she to this person? Perhaps because this person thought she was Alice which had happened more often. She did have to be careful, she didn't know what the knights new about Alice or about Kon and if she had sent a warrant to find Lacie after the incident in the inn. So she tried to keep this smile on her face but she also raised an eyebrow for this person remained quiet for a few seconds before stretching out a hand, they had not formaly met, well that was a good thing. But there was still a lot of uncertainties about her sister and her role in the Rune Knight. All Lacie knew was that she was lieutenant.

She took the hand and shook it firmly but also with care, "Very nice to meet you, well I'm Alice Baskerville." it felt almost vile and disgusting to say her name but she pretended that it was for the greater good. Who knows, perhaps she could finally get information for Lucifer about the Rune Knights. "Have you been with the knights long? I still have so many people to meet, it's nice to see a friendly face around here though." Lacie tried her best to lie, she had no idea Alice her status, rumours about her and so on. This was going to be a very difficult play. Especially since Xandra seemed to have heard about Alice hence the formal introducing, perhaps even seen each other in the same town.

What truly was a surprise was the mere fact that the blonde Knight wasn't even aware of the appearance of the lieutenant. All she truly knew was she was a ginger-headed woman with a kind personality. More often than not, she would spend her time separated from her other knights, often finding herself unintentionally listening in to their conversations but never paid enough attention to thoroughly remember their words.

Once her hand was grasped, she firmly shook it, letting her long, slender fingers slip out as soon as possible. Although talking had become a tad bit simpler, she realized that body contact never brought her comfort expect when she often held the hand of one person. Perhaps that was different from this because she actually knew Alisa well enough. Despite the reasons, she shook off the thoughts of the artist, focusing her unchanging expression back towards the woman before her as her previous action appeared to be as smooth as possible.

'Alice'. She did recall hearing that name before but yet again, paid no heed to the matters of those around her thus forgetting the woman's very name. Her ears perked up upon the sound of the question as her eyes that momentarily drifted away, getting caught up with the movement of those around them, now returned to Alice. The woman's words came as a surprise to Xandra as more often than not, she is considered to be the rather opposite of a 'friendly face'.

Nonetheless, she replied to the female's question. "Not really. I haven't been here that long." She paused for a moment before deciding to speak again, "It's usually a little difficult for us knights to spend much time together as we're often working." Alice probably already knew that, but stating the obvious never hurt anyone.

Lacie her face reminded in the mask that was now called Alice Baskerville but it certainly was interesting, she nodded. Perhaps that's why it might be a bit easier to fool this person in believing that she was Alice as Xandra wasn't in the organization long. For a second she was afraid that maybe this was a set up from her sister. She couldn't believe that Alice would not inform the knights that she had a twin sister who was crazy. Because even she couldn't deny it anymore after what she had done to Konstantin and indirect to Alice in that case. "Ah you are right. I tend to travel a lot with my boyfriend." Which was unknown to Lacie her first mistake, but she was very careful, "He and I are a great team, it makes it easy to travel together and sometimes I have to admit, especially as the Lieutenant. You have to take your time. What would it be if everyone was overworked right?" She had no idea what Alice would say, if she picked friends over work or simply house-wife over work since almost everytime she was together with Kon.

This reminded her that she had not seen Kon in Era and she wondered if they had a fight or so at that time. For now that information was far too late because she would be dead if she had a next encounter with either of them. Perhaps it was smart to avoid Baska but she didn't want to pushed out of a town because of them, "I do have to say, I also barely know what a break is. There is always something to do." she quickly tried to recover what she had said, now that she thought about it; she had almost always found her sister around knights and working. It was perhaps the pregnancy that had kept her at a low profile. But knowning thanks to Judina her ignorance of the whole topic, she should absolutely not mention that. She also wouldn't be able to fake a what amount of months pregnancy without knowing everything and apart from that she didn't want to. "I would also say that getting acquinted with your fellow Knights makes work sometimes easier as well." Or some bullshit high spirit happiness that would come from her sister.

The obvious statement that had escaped her lips in the spur of the moment was seemingly an interesting conversation starter as the Lieutenant seemed to have a lot to say on that. Through just one statement, the blonde discovered things that she was so far unknown to. As curiosity bubbled up inside her, she found herself uttering the word, in the form of a question, "Boyfriend?"

It seemed as if Alice was a busy body and as surprising it was to the blonde, she also thought of it as something sweet that the ginger-headed woman was able to find love and affection in the midst of an occupation that more often than not, bombarded the Knights with work. Alice's work however, Xandra guessed, was probably on a whole different level from her own.

Shaking her thoughts away, she continued listening to the woman before her as she spoke. The blonde was unnoticeably confused regarding the woman's statement but nevertheless, chose to ignore it. Simply the way she spoke sort of made her seem like an overly friendly person who enjoyed talking, sort of the complete opposite of Xandra herself. But that wasn't necessarily a bad thing.

Knitting her brows together upon hearing the contradicting statements, the blonde chose to not speak a word. Somehow, it seemed as if Alice was perhaps trying hard to hide something. Was there something she was ashamed of? Not that it matter to the Knight who simply nodded along with the ginger-headed female's word.

Upon hearing the last sentence, she couldn't help but intervene. "I don't necessarily think so." Her gaze, that yet again drifted away returned to meet Alice's as she continued her statement, "I don't think that getting to know your colleagues necessarily makes work easier. It all depends on the person an the type of relationship they're in."
Unknowingly, she subtly gave out information regarding herself but perhaps it was the fact that she was trying to speak from a perspective of more than one person, that she felt slightly comfortable, "You could always think of it this way; Us meeting each other and becoming acquainted wouldn't really help us with our work."

Lacie had casually dropped the title boyfriend and now she had to be careful and not make any flaws in this so called plan, "Ah yea surprisingly he found me and well we had this immediate click," she had no idea how the two of them found each other but with the two of them being so annoying, it wouldn't surprise her if that was the truth. She would keep it like a short part of the conversation, "It does wonders for motivation though. I mean.. to have some to come home to basically and talk. Sure saves a lot of trouble with frustrations." She wasn't even sure if Alice felt that, but it would sure be nice to talk to someone about her own frustrations but there was no one. She had made one risk and that had cost her her soul, but that didn't mean she would send diary fragments towards Lucifer. She would almost roll her eyes, but she couldn't; she played her sister and not her own annoyed self.

Lacie turned her face in surprise to Xandra when she disagreed, shit wrong statement? "Well yea you can't like anyone but time goes a lot faster when you have someone nice to work with, that's all I mean. Of course like you said it doesn't feel the same for everyone, I assume you like to work alone?" If Xandra would say yes, Lacie would appreciate her a little better, all the stupid working-together-shit she had in mind from the knights, basically because Alice guided Judina or something like that. "Oh like that, no I don't mean that, I think perhaps it might become more fun." Lacie tried to correct her way her sister would think. Which made her open her mouth to say more and shut up, why defend Alice, heck she couldn't care if Xandra would hate her, which made her resist the urge to grin; because a plan came up in her mind. "Perhaps you won't understand, but that's okay." it might sound a bit denegrating but that was the whole idea, Xandra should not like Alice.

Biting the corner of her lower lips, Xandra resisted the urge to voice out any other unnecessary questions. Of course, there was a lot that she wished to ask as curiosity bubbled up inside her but suppressing the urge to do so, she turned her head towards the woman, listening to her talk. It was truly a wonderful thing that she was able to find someone she could talk to, someone she could spend time with. The blonde found that she was secretly wishing the same for herself as her mind wandered towards the artist and moments they spent in comfortable silence. She felt a smile fall onto her lips as she relived those fragments of her memories where they sat in utter tranquility, still being able to convey more than words ever could.

Shaking her thoughts away, she focused on the conversation at hand, drifting her attention back to the ginger-headed female who went on talking. Of course, she expected the woman to have a different opinion and it wasn't something that mattered much to her but her last words caught her gaze. The knight was unsure as to whether that was meant as an insult or not but being the individual she was, she simply shrugged it of. It didn't matter to her. "Yeah, probably not."

Allowing her gaze to wander, it landed upon a cafeteria that laid right in front of them, behind the crowd of people. Facing Alice, she asked, "You wanna go grab something to eat?" Partially because food was a good way to bond with someone, but mainly because she was hungry.

Was she that easy? Well not the word in a bad way but didn't Xandra get annoyed by the simple words as; you wouldn't understand. She had simply shrugged it off and as much as Lacie was impressed, she definitely couldn't do that. But she needed to dislike Alice and instead she just asked Lacie to go and grab something to eat. She had this role to play so her mask didn't break but she was flabbergasted behind it. "Well if you insist." She said trying to find other ways to annoy this person with small comments, "Did you have anything in mind? I hope it's any good?"

If Xandra had not been a Rune Knight she would perhaps not even minded her, perhaps even admire her a bit but the fact that she was a part of the organisation that Alice and Kon were part of that made her immediately hate her. The fact that Xandra was a threat to her was also a very scary idea, but she tried not to think too much about that as she was now playing her sister. Perhaps she could say something about herself, pretending that she was.. she could pretend to say that whomever would tell her that she needed to find her, Lacie, was a liar and Lacie herself. That would be a difficult idea. She would have to figure out how to work that out.

Words had never been something that occupied much of the female's mind, be it those of another or her own. She did get the inkling that Alice was perhaps looking down on her with the occasional words thrown underneath the facade of fake pretense but that didn't make the Knight react with anything more than a small scoff. Perhaps it was because she hadn't know Alice that well, hence her choice of words, regardless of their intention, held no importance to her.

However, she did acknowledge that the ginger-haired woman was in a higher position than herself, which meant that she had to provide her with some degree of respect. Xandra was well aware that within the Knights itself, there was perhaps none like her who never truly acknowledged the ranking system but over time, she had learnt to appreciate it simply because it made her goal a lot easier. Standing up from the bench, she pivoted her foot on the ground, looking for a hint of pain and joyfully concluded that she hadn't managed to injure herself.

Looking back at the female, she pondered over the question. "Well, I don't really have anything in mind. We could always just go in and look at this thing called a menu." She spoke with a light shrug. She was never someone who knew what she wanted to have, she just went and ordered whatever captured her attention. Lightly gesturing the female to follow, the blonde walked across the street and entered the cafe, holding the door open for the lieutenant to walk in.

Lacie was slightly annoyed as well mildly impressed that someone could throw off such a conversation so easily. But there was no time for impressions as she was trying to pretend to be a horrible Lieutenant aka Alice, her sister. Which was making this game a bit boring, this woman.. knight.. or whatever was too much not interested. So she gave her a short smile as she stood up and did the same herself. Besides the risks that she was walking because of the accident she had made with Kon and Alice only a day before. But she didn't say anything.

"You know, I'm actually not that hungry." She looked at Xandra, "Well perhaps we might meet again some day but I am going back to the headquarters." She actually wanted to add something like; if you need me, don't call. But she decided that it was better to simply leave, "It was nice talking to you of course." Before she simply turned around, brushed her red hair over her shoulder. So she walked away, at first on her way to the headquarters but almost when she was there, she would quickly walk to another side and simply disappear.
