Syliph had never actually been in the director room. It was more like a mini apartment. There were multiple doors to what Syliph assumed was other parts of the rooms. The lacrima cameras were all connected to this room so the director could see everything. Two of the doors had label, one was labeled “balcony” and “office.” Since there was no one here he decided that the office was the best place to look. Wiping his hands on his pants he opened the door to the private office. Inside sat a man in front of some lacrima screens, his white was pulled right into a ponytail and a plaid cap on his head. In fact, everything he wore was plaid. There was also a man on the far side of the room, he wore a black robe and was fully bald.
”who on earth do you think you are?” the director asked.
”I am Syliph Kamae, a loyal fan of Alice Nightingale, and I believe she should have the lead role, she’s been in more plays than the current lead, she has a better voice, she has seniority here over her and last but not least she’s just overall better than the current lead in everything.” Syliph said. The director scowled
”Alice Nightingale is an actor who overreacts at the tiniest thing, she also is far to deep in the muck of Marigold, she’d be better off packing up and leaving here all together. Or she should become a mage and join a dark guild. So No, I will not give Alice Nightingale the lead role, Ellis, take care of Syliph Kamae here.” Ellis, as the bodyguard was known, stepped toward Syliph.
”Get out punk, before I snap your arms and legs like twigs.” Ellis sneered.
”Look, all I want is for Alice to be the lead, not to be in a fight.” Syliph said. Ellis sneered again, curling his hands into tight fists. He took another step closer and swung at Syliph, but his fist never connected. Syliph stood with his arm shielding his face, a glimmering hologram of a Minotaur floated around him, The Spell would have completely negated the punch. using only 25 mana out of all Syliph’s mana pool. Snapping his fingers, the familiar glow of the orange red light leaves appeared. With the one meter ring around, Syliph stepped closer to Ellis, his fingers ready to snap. Ellis held up his hands in defense, he obviously had never practiced magic, and there was no where for him to run towards. The director sat tense in his chair, to stressed to talk. Syliph sighed and snapped his finger, and the leaves moved into a mass and lurched towards Ellis, colliding with a sickening thunk. Ellis sat in a somewhat bloody pool on the floor, he’d be fine, just body guarding wouldn’t be happening for awhile. The director raised his hands,
”Alice can have the part, just leave the poor guy alone, you just punctured multiple holes in him. Just please get out.” the director said. Smiling Syliph turned and left, he had succeeded in all essences that could be essences.
Leaving the private office he threw the first aid kit in the room, even though the body guard was probably well enough to roll somewhere. He smiled as he closed the door to the private directors room, or mini-apartment. Striding back down the stairs he strolled down the stairs, grabbing his book bag, he took the familiar turns towards Alice Nightingale’s dressing room, it was the one where the star name tag changed pretty much every week. One week it had been multiple stars, ranging in many different sides, while one week it had been one made of solid diamonds, and this one was now s little less flashy, but less flashy was still an understatement. The new one was a thin sheet of gold with her name inscribed in it, small white and red flowers outlined the entire star.
With a knock he entered the door, smiling at Alice Nightingale. He relayed the information of what had happened and she smiled, giving Syliph a hug...and the money he had been promised. She waved goodbye as he left and went back to fixing her hair for her upcoming play, not the one Syliph had just gotten her the lead in, but one where she played the royal princess Baleia, a rebel who won the hearts over many different princes.
Syliph strolled our of the lane, money in hand, it had been a rather successful day. Carrying the small bag of money in his hand he returned to his inn to sleep. If he looked behind him every once In awhile he could see a cloaked figure behind him, but her chose to fully ignore it.
