She hadn't been faring too well with the weather these past few days; more specifically, she'd been terribly unlucky with the rain... It appeared as if whenever she finally got some down time in between mission, dark and cloudy skies would appear to ruin her hopes of finally exploring Baska, and she'd end up caught out in a downpour. Sure, she dealt with overcast easily enough, with cold even... But rain, that's a different story. Then again, who likes soaked to the point of getting one's clothes waterlogged - to the point when moving around became exceptionally uncomfortable? Sure, she could probably force herself to deal with it in an emergency, but she'd never go as far as calling it pleasant.

Not today though...

Under a warm, but mellow sunlight, Alisa smiled classily as she made her way across the city, taking in the sights, the sounds and the scents; the subtle stroking of the breeze against her cheeks, sending her long black hair and longer white dress fluttering about in a graceful, rippling visage. Not only had the perpetual gloomy clouds of the past few days finally passed, yet the strong winds had died down too, enough she'd actually consider wearing a wide brimmed hat without wondering when it would fly off... Somewhere along her stroll she'd turned into a lush, green park, which in turn led her into a pure white, rather idyllic gazebo, a view so breathttaking she found herself sauntering towards it before she realized it...

So far, she'd rather enjoyed what Baska had to offer her - from the missions to the meetups - and more importantly, she fully understood how she yet had plenty left to see and do. Places such as these proved her right, made all the more delightful by the near deserted lack of people around. She could catch at most two or three others as her shimmering wine red eyes admired the landscape:

"What a lovely afternoon...", she thought out loud, tucking a raven lock behind her ear as her gaze settled on a clear, blue lake, all but watching the clearer skies reflected on its surface...

The serene atmosphere that lingered around the swaying vegetation lulled the blonde female into the tunnel of thoughts that her mind would often wander off to ever since her recent arrival in the town of Baska. Gentle, timid winds waltzed through the air, drifting her gaze to the magnificent sky that lay above her like a palette of blue with contrasting shades of yellow, orange and a tinge of pink, forming a spectacular miasma that she found herself staring at a little too often.

The knight barely knew anything about the town she was in currently, but she was more than ready to explore the town. Perhaps, it was due to the fact that somewhere deep within her heart, she wanted to relive the hazy memories she had made with her father-figure. Her visit to the church had already brought back the saudade emotions of wishing for a family. Shaking her head, in a swift motion, she strolled over the green grass, allowing her white sneakers to gently steer over the damp grass.

Her lilac gaze landed upon a breathtaking white gazebo that stood there in the midst of the scarcely crowded vicinity. Subconsciously, she found herself strolling towards it. It was rather unfortunate that her eyes glanced at a figure sitting there; all she could see were long, luscious strands of raven hair hidden underneath a hat as a glimpse of the woman's white dress was captured by her eyes.

A silent sigh escaped her plump, pink lips as she turned her body and leaned against the pale pillar of the gazebo, looking upon the magnificence of the sky. A black romper adorned her body, loosely settling over her torso before cinching around her waist and then extending as a pair of shorts until the middle of her thighs, from where the blue insignia that was tattooed upon her, joyously beamed. Her long, slender legs were bare and visible as her hands hid inside the pockets of the pastel pink knitted sweater that she wore which, despite it's appearance, proved to be a lot thinner than anticipated.

Strands of blonde hair danced with the breeze as freely as they possibly could while being contained within the stretchy elastic band. Her mind simply admired the beauty of mother nature until her ears caught a sound, a voice that seemed too familiar to ignore. The thought of her the ruby eyed female, Alisa, popped into her head as she began assuming the fact that she was merely thinking of the female. There's no way that she too could be here.

Alas, curiosity had gotten the best of her as she turned, staring at the woman's back once again before allowing her feet to make their way around the circular gazebo. All she could do was catch a glimpse of the woman's face as her eyes widened ever so slightly. The thoughts of their previous interaction raced through her mind. She hadn't figured out her feelings just yet. Perhaps, she was imagining things. Before she knew it, her lips began moving, "Alisa?"

WORDS: 600 | TAG: @Xandra | CLOTHES

A shift in the wind... A stronger yet still pleasant gust blew in from the west, whipping a loose black lock against her face, prompting Alisa to run her fingers over her delicate skin, tucking it back behind her ear. She leaned in crossed her arms over the railing, head turning left, then right, as she took in her surroundings, only to once again find her gaze captured by that shimmering lake, by the faint ripples the wind carried to its surface. Inevitably, she found her mind meandering back towards a familiar blonde...

The sculptress had yet to figure out her feelings for the girl, let alone what they even meant to either of them. From her instincts to her utmost incomprehension towards them, she found it next to impossible to get Xandra out of her thoughts once she wandered in, the joyous yet baffling events they shared.

Truly, they always had a wonderful time both times they met... But then, she also enjoyed the company of plentiful others, yet none of those had made her break her vow not once, but twice, bereft of a conscious reason. A memory yet so vivid she couldn't help curl her lip if she pondered on it long enough... Indeed, she doubted Xandra loathed her for kissing her out of the blue, yet that didn't stop the sculptress promising herself she wouldn't do it again next time they met. Whether they had to start over or simply pick up where they left off, she'd stay true to herself, knowing time itself would inevitably reveal what she wanted to know...

Alisa often engrossed herself in introspection as such, blind to all but the beauty around her, absorbed in it and the emotions it brought out like an artist would in her work. With all the emotions it brought out, she soon found herself producing a small, bright pink crystal in her palm, aimlessly sculpting it without even shifting her eyes down...

And even though she swore she could hear steps behind her, she effectively paid them no mind... At least, until that one moment where could put a voice to those steps...

There was something inherently startling about hearing a suddenly hearing the voice of the same person she was thinking about, calling out her name. Gasping, Alisa turned her head, a faint look of surprise plastered across her face, and a fainter hint of red on her cheeks. However, that minute tension soon dispersed the moment she saw her face, plush lips widening into a welcoming smile, in that odd mix of cool and warm the blonde might have grown used to be now:

"Xandra...! My... How lovely to see you~", she greeted as a hand trailed up from the railing and the sculpture in her hands, all the way up to her cheek. She cast a cursory glance towards the beautiful girl's choice of wadrobe, admiring how it highlighted her elegant legs, noting the pink of her sweater looked especially cute. She took a bit longer doing this than she would have with most people, yet not enough to distract her from the amthyst radiance of her eyes, "What have you been up to?"

Hopefully the blonde wouldn't so easily guess what she was just thinking about; next to impossible unless the faint warmth in her cheeks gave it away. For  though her departure last time had been rather abrupt, Alisa clearly showed no interest in dwelling in the past with the present right in front of her... Though she thought about it alone every so often, in the end the sculptress would much rather spend time with her now. So much she completely missed how she had never actually shown the girl her art, or her magic, and how the two composed halves composed the same whole.

Gusts of wind slipped through the long strands of blonde hair and past the slender fingers that gently placed it's tips onto the white railing as her eyes remained fixated on the raven haired beauty before her. How strange was this game of fate that always ended up bringing the two females together even though they were miles apart. Never had she expected to run into the artist in a town other than Hargeon.

Upon the sight of slightly tinted cheeks, memories replaced her cycle of thought as she moved from from her childhood to the recent past; a mere week or two ago. She didn't remember how long it had been but the happenings of the day were vivid and clear, so much so that even the present winds felt so similar to the ones back then. Lilac eyes drifted off onto the lake, gazing upon the glistening water before returning to her partner. She didn't know how to react or respond as she waited for the woman to make the first move, and indeed she did.

The cool, yet warm smile that adorned her face left the Knight bewildered as the familiar sight brought a smile to her own face. Although her feelings weren't sorted out, although she didn't know how to proceed with the situation and although she didn't clearly know why her cheeks felt warmer, she knew that Alisa was her friend. Despite their interactions in the past, she still wanted to get to know the woman better as a person and as a friend, and maybe perhaps one day, as something more.

"I've just been working, or visiting some places.", she responded to the female's question as she dug her hand back into the pockets of her cozy pink cardigan. Walking around the gazebo, she leaned back against the white pillar facing the lake so that right beside her, behind that railing, Alisa would stand. Looking down at the woman's hand, her eyes glimmered in fascination upon a glimpse of the sculptured crystal. "It's beautiful.", she whispered as gaze refused to falter but only moments later, returned to meet the rubies.

"For a moment, I forgot that you were a mage too. Is that your magic?" She had assumed it was, and she was hoping the same. The blonde was visibly fascinated and smitten by the beauty of the bright pink crystal, enough for her smile to widen a little. She was closer to getting to know more about Alisa and she couldn't be happier. It was quite possible that once they leave after this encounter, the hidden air of awkwardness that surrounds them would no longer be there. Maybe, the Knight might even find herself falling into a deeper level of comfort around her friend. However, only time could tell that.

WORDS: 700 | TAG: @Xandra | CLOTHES

Seeing the girl's cheeks reddening brought a faint but familiar tingle to her skin - reminding her of the last time she'd seen it - yet recalling the outcome of that last same made her gulp. Had she unwittingly pushed the girl away, driven an uncomfortable wedge between them...? After so long of avoiding forward displays like the ones she showed Xandra, the sculptress was simply not used to them anymore; a well guarded secret her cool and classy demeanor cleverly concealed. As such, that tingle turned into a brief, momentary sense of anxiety taking over her being, a single point between the time she uttered her words and Xandra's response. And when she finally did, Alisa felt at ease again...

No awkwardness... Good...

A soft, scarcely perceptible sigh left the taller woman's lips, relieved to see her boldness had caused no visble strain between them. Truly, she didn't yet know what she wanted; perhaps for that nascent bond to further a strong, perpetual friendship, or for that budding ember of attraction to fuel a deep, romantic connection. Perhaps a fulfilling mixture of both? Yet until the time came when she realized her own feelings and in turn, maybe Xandra's, she had but one clear desire: For the two loners to feel comfortable with each other, wholly at ease with the other's presence to the point they could be themselves. Without the aid of alcohol vanquishing their inhibitons...

Alisa already felt this herself, and suspected the girl before her might feel the same way: One good look into to those mesmerizing jewels of her eyes soothed and relaxed the normally wary Pegasus.

"Business as usual, I take it?", she cocked her head slightly, following the woman's step as she slipped her hands into her pockets and approached the welcoming Alisa.

Her smiled widened visibly, hand trailing to her clavicle, then down to the upper rim of her dress, tugging up on the soft fabric above her cleavage; a gesture that looked almost demure in contrast with her usual self... She'd always been rather receptive to praise, yet it held a visibly different meaning coming from the girl before her, from her completely captivated look... Alas, Xandra had never seen her react to praising words from another's mouth, so she'd most likely not notice any difference:

"Thank you~...", her words trailed off alongside her eyes as turned her head towards the lake, then glancing sideways, right back into the blonde knight's bright lilac - at almost the same time they turned back to her own. Her forgetful admission concerning the sculptress' magical abilities did earn a soft, endearing chuckle, almost a giggle as she responded in kind, "That's quite alright, I'm perfectly comfortable with reminding you."

Playful but genuienly honest words, along with an equally spirited wink thrown at the blonde, painting a vivid picture of the ease Alisa felt towards her - despite how short a time they'd known each other. Shifting her weight to one leg, she turned her torso slightly towards her, holding that radiant gaze as she carved out her crystalline sculpture. Truly, the landscape was gorgeous... But Xandra looked prettier, with the slowly setting sun beaming off her bright, flowing locks of golden hair:

"Indeed, I'm a crystal mage, though I use my magic for art as much as fighting...", she explained as her smooth, graceful hands seemed to have a life of their own, shaving off pieces of crystal into a thin, shimmering powder as the suclpture gradually took form. Alisa was really good with her hands, coordination and a delicate, sensitive sense of touch endowing her with a sufficient awareness not to require any aid from her eyes.

Not when sculpting anyways, but most of this ability had been aquired after long years of honing her craft, and using her natural strengths to their fullest. As they talked, her palm sized sculpture steadily formed into a vaguely avian shape, hinting at what it might look like once had finished her work. Her focus, however, remained undivided, focused on the equally fascinated girl as Alisa expressed her own interest with a raised eyebrow:

"What about your magic...?", she wondered curiosly, silently pegging her for a light or maybe fire mage...

Lilac irises shimmered upon the sight of the crystal, reflecting the blend of the pink mixed together with the sun's warmth, forming a seemingly golden hue which emphasized her enchantment. For a second, all the magnificence of her surrounds seemed to be barely a simple speck of beauty compared to the sculpting that captivated her attention. Art was indeed expressed through the woman's hands as they moved, prevent any diversion of the Knight's gaze which flickered ever so slightly to follow the movement of Alisas smooth hands.

The small nod she had given upon the raven-haired beauty's question was long forgotten. Words had no place on her tongue as she couldn't decipher how to express the amazement she felt. The warmth that spread through her heart was very much similar to the one she often felt when admiring the beauty of the hurling grey skies. Allowing her attention to momentarily shift to the sculptress, lilac diamonds came into direct contact with rubies as they within mere seconds, were able to decipher the skill and pleasure that came with creating something so spectacular. In that moment, she could also feel her eyes soften as her smile widened upon the magnified beauty of the artist underneath the view of heaven's eye.

Returning those eyes back into the sea of mesmerism that flowed within her hands, she felt the thoughts that once bombarded her head, drift away into a state of calm and peace. The temporary silence that felt so long and so precious was only disrupted by Alisa's voice as she enunciated her own curiosity. Snapping back into reality, the blonde let out a small and barely audible chuckle as her hand raised instinctively to scratch the back of her neck.

"My magic? It's pretty ordinary compared to yours." Turning her body to the side, she leaned onto the pillar using her right arm so that she no longer had to keep her neck positioned towards the side. Raising that same hand, she held it parallel to her own stance so that not only would be be within her own line of sight, but also within that of her friend. It took a moment, but underneath the dwelling sun arose sparks of bright yellow lightning that gracefully danced around her fingers which slowly moved as her hand turned. Sparks of yellow danced around her hand, spreading to her wrist as they swivelled around, reflecting light within the eyes of both females, giving birth to flashes of golden tincture within their irises.

Indeed her magic was quite common and ordinary compared to her friends, but she wouldn't have it any other way. The knight always found herself mesmerized by beauty but was always someone who simply prefered to observe it rather than wield it. Her eyes returned to meet the rubies, hoping to see a reaction indulged within them.

Alisa

WORDS: 650 | TAG: @Xandra | CLOTHES

Yes, Alisa enjoyed another's admiration of her beauty, in whatever shape or form it may take. Her art, her style, herself... Yet the bottomless pool of vanity named Alisa Vollan knew and accepted it as a part of her, delighted in it on a daily basis and merely struggled not to let it get to her head. Nothing in this world lasts forever, not even the dazzling crystals she so loved. Forgetting that meant spiralling down into decadence where she'd no longer strive to better herself every day...

Yet none of that mattered when the one so earnestly appreciating her was no other than the girl before her, bringing a smile to her face even more radiant than the sculpture in her hand, an uplifting warmth to her chest she could hardly describe. Xandra wouldn't miss a beat and Alisa made no motion to stop, giving form to the formless and turning her bright, radiant crystal into a lifelike depiction of a palm sized eagle, it's wings spread wide in majestic flight.

Xandra's humble, chuckling admission did nothing to deter Alisa's curiosity, quite the opposite... The sculptress' eyes were on her like a hawk's, brimming with antecipation. Would the girl unveil her magic? Well, she wouldn't really force Xandra to do so, but she was clearly ready to insist, how she had nothing to be ashamed of:

"You've nothing worry about, most of the charm comes from its user~", reassuring the Knight with hair of golden, Alisa once more hinted at her intrigue, following her motions as she leaned sideways against the wall. Half hoping and half expecting she'd show something soon, she returned her gesture and turned on her side, facing the svelte blonde in as she rested her sinuous hip against the railing.

As one hand slid down to slightly adjust the long, ever flowing dress, she watched Xandra's as well, just as the woman revealed her electrifying skills.

Lightning...?

Alisa eye's widened right at first sight. The blossoming, crackling sparks clashed with the Sun's rays in a dazzling light show, effortlessly capturing the sculptress' attention, her lips parting, her jaw widening in ever faint display of awe. Unlike what Xandra might have believed, Alisa's mere look spoke for itself, betraying her admiration, expressing her own thoughts long before actual words left her pillowy lips:

"Beautiful...", she uttered almost absently, appraised even, surprised not to have considered Lightning as one of the magics Xandra might wield, "...And strong as well. It suits you better I could have imagined."

Undoubtdly one of the most beautiful magics - in line with light or crystal itself - but so far she'd always associated lightning with cold blooded aggression, and she never got that vibe from this stunning Knight. Her eyes saw a certain warmth in the blonde, a natural result of a desire for closeness. Alisa lacked any notion of how Xandra normally acted towards others when she herself wasn't around, and thus had no way of knowing whether she showed this same desire towards others with the same ease as she did her.

Then again, just as interesting as the magic were its owner's circumstances for learning it, eventually prompting Alisa's gaze back up into the enticing lilac of her eyes as she asked with the same innocent curiosty: "When did you learn it?", not long after uttering these words, Alisa would have finally completed her sculpture, and in turn offered it to Xandra, the eagle statuette resting on her palms as her eyes looked off for a split second, then back to the blonde's, "Here, it's yours if you want it."

She could have just made it fly off into the Rune Knight's waiting hand like she often did to people. But before she knew it she'd offered it to her the old fashioned way, with an outretched palm: Scarcely realizing she still longed for that comforting proximity, that feeling she got whenever the two held hands...

The magnitude of magnificence she saw before her was breathtaking as both the females displayed their magic, showcasing the elements they were very comfortable with. Once the sparks that embraced her pale hands had died down, it returned back into the pocket of her pink knitted cardigan. She was still marveled at the sight of the artist's abilities and assumed that her nature may partially have been what it was today because of the beauty of her own powers. The mere thought of that compelled the Knight to glance upon the ruby eyed sculptress once again as the same thoughts from their first encounter flashed across her mind. In her eyes, Alisa was a beautiful young woman who knew what beauty was and who knew what she could do to accomplish it. That was perhaps one of the many aspects of the Blue Pegasus mage that the blonde admired.

The simple question that escaped the artist's lips was enough to yet again, send the Knight into the swiveling pit of memories of her past. They weren't unpleasant but ever since her arrival in the town, she found her thoughts wandering back in time a little too often. Looking at the rubies that held within them an arousing curiosity, she couldn't help but keep her smile intact. Lilac eyes shifted towards the setting sun, landing upon the colorfully painted sky that was reflected within the scintillating waters of the lake. "When did I learn it..?", she murmured, repeating the question to herself in a low voice, low enough to possibly go unheard by her friend but nonetheless, shifted her focus back towards the woman, "I don't really remember when. It was a long time ago. It took me a while to be able to perfect its use though."

Strangely enough, she felt compelled to tell Alisa more. Despite how contrary to her personality it was, she continued speaking after a momentary pause, "It was taught to me by my....father." The last word visibly softened as it rolled over her tongue, not because it was a painful reminder. Rather, she found herself overflowing with the thoughts of missing the man she called her own father. "He said that lightning suited me a lot." Even though they weren't blood related, he had raised her like his own daughter and even went as far as to teach her the same magic that he had learnt once upon a time. The story of her real parents was, however, a tale to be told some other day. Subconsciously, Xandra's smile widened a little as her thoughts drifted back towards the tough training he always put her through in hopes of making her stronger so she could learn to fight her own battles.

Her magic was one of the many reminders that constantly nudged her to become stronger, that constantly reminded her of the hard work that man had put into molding her into a righteous individual. Shaking her head out of her thoughts, she glanced back at her friend. Her lilac irises drifted towards the soft, smooth hands of the female as they held a small, beautifully sculpted crystal within them which was offered to her. With eyes gleaming in fascination as joy overtook her, she placed her hands within those of the woman's, allowing their skin to touch, leaving a warmth as she gently picked up the sculpted creature. She was evidently mesmerized but couldn't help but wonder. Without looking away from the creation, she asked, "But why crystals? Why did choose to sculpt crystals?" Was it simply for the beauty and the art, or was there more to it than the obvious?

WORDS: 750 | TAG: @Xandra | CLOTHES

The two of them gazed into each other's eyes almost longingly, at least, that's how it might appear to an onlooker. To Alisa, however, she simply basked in the radiance of the Knight before her, whose drive and passion she acknowledged since day one, whose honesty towards her likes and dislikes had no match to speak of. Alisa knew she might not have seen it had they not gotten extremely drunk, but she accepted the present for what it was and not how she'd reached it.

This time however, finding their common path to the future meant exploring the separate roads that lead them here. As the beauty with eyes of lilac stared off into the distance, Alisa kept her eyes on her form, particularly those lush pink lips as she began delving into her story, while Alisa's own settled to silence.

The way she talked about her father though...

A man who had taught her the magic she now knew, and compared her to that same element at its best. A rather piercing sense of Deja vu slithered its way into her thoughts, leaving no doubt in the artist's mind: Alisa had heard this before... Of course, she'd heard it coming from her own lips, bashfully reciting how the goldsmith Ingmar Vollan called his daughter his most precious diamond...

At that moment, Alisa's smile widened, glancing down and shaking her head, a soft chuckle of realization left her lips. Not that she found her friend's story amusing in any way; rather, the look on her face resembled that one might have when they swept away a fog of doubt and uncertainty  - if only just a little bit - leaving naught but clarity and understanding in its wake:

"It appears we're more alike than I ever imagined...", spoke the sculptress, her head turning back up to gaze at sky in its magnificent orange hue, brushing her long hair as a stronger breeze sent it rippling about.

Why did the two women constantly gravitate towards each other such?

A question so persisting, so tenacious, that seldom left Alisa's mind for more than a couple of seconds at a time. Yet moments such as these  shed a modicum of light upon it, allowing the ever curious Pegasus to make some sense of her inexplicable feelings. The next time she looked at Xandra, she couldn't see her as someone she'd been close to all her life, yet had only met recently... Her hands lingered in place as the girl accepted her sculpture, her joy warming Alisa's heart almost as much as her touch warmed her skin; an almost blissful cocktail of positive feelings even before Xandra expressed interest in her own story:

"In a way, I guess you can say I learned it from my father, just like you...", she smiled at the blonde, beamed even, yet her words were as vague and cryptic as ever. Alisa wouldn't leave her hanging, and soon clarify as she too glanced off into the distance, turning and holding on to the wooden railing, "But under different circumstances. He didn't really teach me magic though: he was simply a Goldsmith, sculpting jewels and gemstones the old fashioned way. By the time I started learning magic, he'd already stopped making his art."

She clenched her fists at these words, hard enough it appeared she might actually shatter the wooden piece. She didn't in the end, restrained only be her instinct to preserve this beautiful gazebo. But Xandra might easily tell how even though she had nothing but love for her father, something unpleasant happened in her past that she didn't feel comfortable discussing; not yet:

"No doubt I learned it so I could feel close to him, when the time came for me to-...", and at that moment she bit her lip, silencing herself, preventing that thought from turning to words.

Butcher them

A different look flashed into her eyes this time...

Not the warmth or affection she showed Xandra, not even the cool or nonchalance she showed everyone else. She obviously went to great lengths to hide her ugliest side, but as she furrowed her brow, her eyes showed a different emotion: a frigid, hateful killing intent. In the end, only looking back to Xandra's beautiful visage softened and eased away these feelings, her soothing smile returning so she could present it to her in turn:

"...To find him once again.", she'd conclude, sticking to the only pleasant truth to her quest, hoping the Knight would understand why she did so. She'd soon offer her hand, tilting her head gently, "Shall we walk? I hear the sunset looks even prettier by the lake~"

As she looked at her stunning friend those amethysts shimmering with resolve, Alisa could only think how the late Master Lance's words once more rung true. Beauty could truly heal a wounded soul...

It was often that the malicious and dejected feelings often found themselves hidden underneath the facade of pretense happiness and beauty. Wherever she would, she often found those who became victims of such a phenomenon and she wondered, perhaps Alisa was one of them too. However, time had passed by far too fast for her to judge anything.

The blonde was never one to like those who feigned expressions and feelings, mostly because she herself, usually lacked the ability to accurately express her own emotions but unlike her usual self but she found her expression morphing from a curious one to a softened one within mere moments. She noticed the was the sculptress' grip on the pale white railing tightened as, without thinking, her own hand gently placed the sculpted gift within her pocket as it returned to gently place itself over the woman's. Her index finger intertwined with Alisa's as she held it for a moment, keeping the right amount of contact she thought was needed, never letting her lilac gaze drift away from the artist's face as every expression that her face held was observed by the blonde.

Curiosity rose within her upon the words that parted the woman's lips but she nonetheless, managed to compress it within the walls of her own mind. After a few moments, her hand loosened around the mage's before returning to her side. Looking upon the sky once again, she gently caressed the eagle within her pocket as the evening sky clearly displayed the bypassing clouds that loomed over the setting sun. It seemed that they did have some time left before the sky fell into a slumbering state of pure ebony. Nevertheless, she didn't mind that as the stars would come out and hopefully, the two females could enjoy it together.

Unlike the Knight who awaited the glimmering of the stars, Alisa didn't seem to want to miss the opportunity of gazing the current allure perpetuated by the sky as she asked for a walk. Looking down at the woman's hand, she looked back into the ruby irises before entwining their hands together. The warmth of her skin spread to the blonde's as her cold, slender hands slipped though the spaces between her fingers. By now, the lightning mage was more than comfortable having the barest minimum of body contact with Alisa and she didn't know why. Was it because she had opened up a slight bit about her past? or was it because of their previous interactions together?

Strolling down the cement path, they walked side by side as the echoes of their feet colliding against the ground reached her ears, mingling with the melodious songs of the nightingales that sung in glory at the magnificence of the lake that appeared to be golden underneath the dim lighting of the nature's original luster. Where would this path take the women? That was a question Xandra found herself wondering.

Alisa

WORDS: 650 | TAG: @Xandra | CLOTHES

Indeed, Alisa had no desire to hide such a thing from Xandra, but then, neither did she want to show the woman the ugliest side of her personality. Shortly after joining Blue Pegasus, she realized how unsightly her hatred made her and strove to overcome it... She failed. Without that hatred, she'd have undoubtedly lost sight of her quest sooner or later, and that thought frightened all those ideas out of her. Instead, she simply chose never to reveal it before anyone that not her most hated enemies.

Meaning, the very opposite of Xandra...

True, she didn't always succeed... But then she also suspected the blonde to bear some hatred of her own, obscured by her otherwise distant demeanor. This wasn't exactly something either of them might pleasantly bond over though. Yes, Xandra wasn't as good as hiding her feelings as the aloof Alisa - despite how both failed to acknowleged them often enough - and even though she didn't hide them nearly as much around her, this was a different matter altogether. She wanted to bare everything before her, and yet...

A tender gasp left her lips as she felt her soothing touch, pulling the sculptress from this shaky, less than pleasant train of thought.

She understood... And remembering this brought a smile to her face far more often. The blonde's cool touch warmed her troubled heart, and even the rougher feel of her skin felt like smoothest of silk to her clouded mind. She couldn't find this reassurance anywhere else. Having loosened the momentary grip of her hatred, Xandra would soon feel Alisa's grip on the railing loosening, her chest heaving up, then back down in a deep, relaxed breath.

She didn't speak...

Yet an almost beholden gaze into those hopeful amethysts expressed her appreciation easily enough. They never had much need for words between them anyway, and soon, they'd spare another moment to marvel at those twilight shades of orange through violet one last time from under the pure white of the gazebo, before gazing at each other, joining hands once more, and heading elsewhere.

Now somewhat devoid of that bashful tingling she felt the first few times, since that day at the park she'd grown somewhat accustomed to this physical contact as well, simply noting how it felt right. Despite this inexplicable magnetism they felt towards one another, Alisa decided she wouldn't kiss her again, not until she knew what her feelings meant... Though those memories yet made her heart race, there wasn't much more she could express at this point in such a fashion, not when they could simply appreciate each other's company like they were doing now.

Alisa noticed it before, but Xandra's hands felt almost gelid to her comparatively warmer touch. Wasn't she cold? Almost on reflex, she'd hold her a bit tighter, thumb gliding across the back of her hand, in a caring attempt to share her warmth. She basked in this proximity they'd attained together, looking up at the dimming sky, thinking about how they made it here, rejecting any ill fated attempts to bring them apart. As they left that now needless shade of the gazebo, the Knights hands would steadily warm up as they held them together, fingers intertwined in a mellowing, almost rapturous sense of inner peace.

As those red, peering orbits took in her dim lit surroundings, they found themselves on Xandra's more often that not, all but bewitched by that radiant golden of her hair, the pale rose of her skin, the plush pink of her lips... Every so often she'd get a glimpse of the shimmering lilac of her eyes, and she'd hold her gaze at those moments. Without saying a word, that faint, admiring curiosity on her face expressed a constant wonder:

'What's on your mind...?'

...After spending this long with each other; silent, insightful women such as themselves might gleam a great deal just from a long look into the other's eyes... And the closer they grew, the more they'd see each time. If only Alisa could look inward and sort through her emotions half as well...

Indeed she got the answer to the question she pondered over. The array of tingles that passed through her body made her shudder in delight as the extent of comfort that she felt lulled her into the spreading warmth of the female beside her. Lilac hues would occasionally drift towards their hands, which were mere moments ago, linked together by the entwining of their finger. Now, her pale, cold hand was engulfed in the heat of Alisa's hand as she felt the gentle strokes of her fingers over the soft yet slightly rough skin.

Her gaze drifted towards the sun as it was falling into a state of slumber. The enchanting sight that reflected within the deep waters of the lake, forming an alluring stir of vivid colors became another major factor that contributed to the settling peace within her heart. The knight could feel the ruby gaze on her, occasionally turning her own own head to meet the sight of the beautiful raven-haired mage. However, most of the time, she didn't feel the need to look at Alisa.

By now, the very image of the sculptress was embedded into her mind. She didn't need to have to look at the female to feel the bliss in her presence. The mere fact that Alisa was standing beside her was enough for Xandra. The blonde felt all her thoughts drift away from her body, only to soon return after being shoved to the back of her mind. All the things that the two females had been through together flooded her mind. There were moments when she was unsure about her feelings for the woman besides her but her instincts decided to take over, giving into that sense of joy that she got when talking to the sculptress.

As the sun slowly faded into the dark sky, shining a dull yet radiant glow upon the females, the blonde looked over her shoulder, noticing the sky. Her immediate action was to halt. She lost track of time, she didn't how long they had spent walking in comfortable tranquility. Halting her steps, she gazed at the female before looking down at the grassy landscape they had landed upon. It didn't take long for her to pull her long body down, into a sitting position, gently tugging on Alisa's hand, wanting her to do the same. If she did, the knight would straighten her bare legs, letting them touch the moist and chill grass before laying herself onto the ground. The cold took a while to settle in but she felt that it was worth it. From that position, she could look at the face of the Pegasus mage and her long hair as it danced with the wind, alongside the stars that burned brighter with each passing moment.

WORDS: 550 | TAG: @Xandra | CLOTHES

Whatever awkwardness that might have resulted from Alisa's prior boldness all but faded into bygone memories, meaningless... She remembered it,

sure, yet had no way of connecting to those emotions anymore, nor did she want to. Just like Alisa, she wanted nothing more than for this moment to last: A cursory glance at the woman beside her confirmed she appreciated her presence, her warmth, her closeness... Understandably cold she may be, Alisa's warmth eased it away... Naturally, the sculptress herself lacked any immunity, yet, she had something else to help her along: Though a chilly breeze brought goosebumps to her skin, yet not nearly enough to get even a shiver. Born in the North, this pleasant cool still feel like summer to her, and holding Xandra's hand like this brought along a warm, soothing sensation.

Even after she'd felt her companion's rough skin grow warmer between her fingers, Alisa kept stroking the back of her hand, at times squeezing a bit tighter, for no reason other than basking in this pleasant feeling. In her mind, they hadn't even walked for long. Sure, she lost track of it, but then time well and truly flew away everytime she was with Xandra. Despite watching those twilight colors fade into darkness, the shifting waters now reflecting stars and not clouds, she didn't really notice... At times she'd catch a glimpse of the Knight's lilac eyes and admire their beauty for a moment, yet those were few are far between amidst their strolling appreciation of this scenery, how much she loved having Xandra here to appreciate it with.

Only finally feeling a gentle tugging on her hand caught the abstracted sculptress attention, her body turning, her eyes shifting to seek Xandra's, her brow raised with in a somewhat curious way. But she didn't even need to read her expression to understand her intentions, and her smile widened immediately once more.

Holding the Knight's gaze the whole way, Alisa ran her idle hand down her back, past her rear and down her leg, coming to rest behind her thighs and holding that long, flowing dress in place as she sat down on lush green turf... Cooler as the sun set, but only a tad bit damper, at least, until the rain came again - but then, a single glance at the starry sky suggested they'd witness no such downpour. Today at least, they might enjoy a momentary reprieve from the incessant autumn rainfall.

And if it did rain at this moment, Alisa would most likely not care: A soft, mellow sigh left her lips as the ever present smile widened

slightly, hinting at how spending this time together with her mattered more than whatever the weather might throw at them. Their joined hands

came to rest between their laps, and the artist took a moment to admire the woman sitting by her side. A soft chuckle left her lips, betraying not amusement but genuine joy at sitting here, brushing shoulders with her as she looked into those shimmering amethysts, mesmerized by her golden blonde whose beauty she felt rivalled the scenery they came to enjoy:

"What a lovely night this turned into...", the sculptress finally spoke, tucking a fluttering lock of hair behind her ear. A comment rather than a real attempt to engage in conversation, which didn't feel like they particularly needed...

The blonde couldn't agree more. The night had turned into a fantastic experience that had started out as something neither of the women expected. Their individuals adventures in the town of Baska had brought them together and now, the Knight lay on the moist grass beside the seated artist, enjoying the starry view of the night that had just started. Much of their time, as per usual, passed by in a comfortable as they had never really needed many words to express their emotions at the moment.

Her lilac eyes glided across the black sky, catching a glimpse of the raven-haired beauty that merged with the background from the corner of her eyes. A small smile fell on her face subconsciously while her eyes squinted, gleaming with tranquil joy. Words were never able to convey how she felt like the silence drowning in their laced hands was. Her hand with was entwined with Alisa's hung loosely within the small gap between their legs. The knight would feel her lilac eyes falling shut, embraced within the surrounding peace and chill as she let out a small sound in agreement to the woman's statement.

Blocking out the view of the emerging dull clouds, her eyes felt shut as she was now solely focusing on the warmth she received through the touch of her skin against the artist's but they didn't take long to reopen once the gusts of wind picked up their pace, causing her hair to run wild and frantic over her face. Using her free hand to move aside the locks of blonde hair, she felt a drop of water fall onto her cheeks. It had begun raining. Yet, Xandra showed no signs of moving beyond hauling herself into a sitting position as the raindrop rolled down her cheek. Slowly, but surely, the rain began to pick up it's pace as the blonde looked to the side to meet the rubies.

She wondered if Alisa wished to return within a sheltered area. "It's raining", she said in a soft voice stating the obvious. "Do you like the rain?" Depending on the female's answer, she decided that they would either remain in the joyful tears of the sky or cower underneath the shelter, enjoying the mesmerizing view from there. She didn't show it but the blonde loved the rain as she often liked such a weather. She would much rather prefer to feel the pattering of the water on her skin but maybe for once, she could do what her friend would have wanted. If Alisa were to say that she did indeed like the rain too, a large smile would unknowingly make it's way onto the Knight's face. They still didn't know each other well enough but deep down, they did have things in common, possibly so many more than they thought they did.

WORDS: 550 | TAG: @Xandra | CLOTHES

Turning to Xandra for the briefest of moments, admiring the beauty beside her instead of that above, Alisa found it unsprising for her to have closed her eyes, but it warmed her heart nonetheless. In return, as she admired the darkening night sky, Alisa went back to gliding her thumb back and forth along the knight's rougher hand. Leaving no chance for her to grow cold again, no chance  for this blissful ease to fade for the slightest of moments.

"Ara...?", with this simple, soft interjection, Alisa eventually noticed she was finding it harder to see stars as time went on, the roaming clouds that so resembled her drifting in front of them, enshrouding the once shimmering firmament.

The wind picked up too, and before long the sculptress simply left a hand near her cheek, for that long raven hair whipped in front of her face too often for her liking, forcing her to hold it away. Soon, she felt the first droplet on the exposed skin of her long legs, prompting her eyes up, that idle hand turning palm up, catching another few droplets.

As if to confirm it was indeed raining, despite the lake itself announcing it with ever present ripples. Though something that might have ordinarily prompted her to stand up and seek shelter, today, she simply looked at the golden blonde beside her and didn't really feel like moving away...

She had a love hate relationship with rain, but then, it was more than she could say about plenty of things. She loved sitting indoors, hearing it hit the ceiling and lull her into a blissful slumber... Not so much getting soaked and feeling her long dress clinging to her body. But then, it's not like she'd dissolve or anything, so this discomofort proved purely relative, as Xandra would soon find:

"Mmm~", she nodded affirmatively, a soft chuckle escaping her glossy lips at the obvious statement. Her mixed feelings, however, quickly grew clear with Alisa's next doubtful comment, "Not so much being caught out under it though~"

Yet hers didn't look like the smile of someone who disliked getting soaked by a sudden downpour... When everything was said and done, Alisa's moody nature spoke louder than likes or dislikes. Right here, right now - with this girl next to her - even the rain contributed to this best possible view, and that smile on the blonde's face proved as such. Alisa delighted in watching her light, shimmering hair clinging to her skin, how it only seemed to delight her in turn. For a girl who seldom showed much emotion, much passion towards this or that, the way Xandra asked that question made it clear she relished far more than the the soft, soothing patter of rainfall on a tin rooftop.

So naturally, even if Xandra made any motion to stand up and pull her away, Alisa remained sitting, simply nodding negatively and hushing her companion back down. Her gaze seeking those lilac eyes, Alisa's smile widened after a good long look into them, then and only then finally turning back skywards, as the drizzle seemed to intensify, slowly but surely. In a matter of minutes, that once flowing dress that drifted at the wind's command, now clung heavily to her wet glazed skin, sheer enough to only barely provide a measure of modesty.

As the downpour intensified, they might end up stuck dealing with a full blown rainstorm...

Drip. Drop. The pattering of the rain evaded her sense of sound, lulling her into a state of calm as her smile was displayed upon the woman's answer. Soon however, it faltered a little, not because she was sad but because she assumed that it might actually be best to observe it from underneath a shelter. Her lilac eyes roamed the sky before looking back at the female. Perhaps, it was time for them to leave. The Knight hauled herself off the ground, slightly tugging upon Alisa's hand only to be rejected. Her brows knit together to form a small frown, expressing the slight confusion she felt.

Her legs gave out at the crouching position as she gently found herself seated back in the same position after a moment of clumsiness where her feet slipped over the damp grass. Surprisingly, she hadn't managed to injure herself. It was possible that she may have read through Alisa's words incorrectly hence after a moment or two of biting the corner of her lips, she concluded that they would stay in the rain. Her lilac gaze often shifted towards the raven-haired beauty and watched as the long black strands of hair stuck to her face, shoulders and back while the previously flowing white dress that swayed with the wind now revolted against it by clinging to her legs.

The blonde too perhaps was in a similar position as short, wild strands of golden hair clung to the side of her face and forehead and the ponytail that confined the freedom of her hair began feeling heavier upon each passing minute. The light pink sweater she was hidden underneath turned a shade darker while droplets of rain slipped down her bare legs. However, she didn't mind. This was rather satisfying for her. Xandra found her hold on Alisa's hand gently tightening as the pattering of rain that started out as subtle, took mere minutes to strengthen it's attack.

Lilac eyes glanced at the sculptress once again before gazing off at the sky where she noticed momentary flashes of lightning peeking out through the cloud as the droplets of water hit harder against her skin. Drifting her eyes towards the artist yet again, she spoke, "Maybe we should find a shelter. The rain is getting stronger." And it was true, it showed to be signs of a fore-coming rainstorm. It was definitely better for them to free themselves from the intense fall.

However, as she craned her neck and took a look around, her mouth narrowed as she realized that there was no nearby shelter. The area around them was either grassy greenland or a lake. They had walked too far from the gazebo. Even if they were to return there, they would likely be caught up in a rainstorm before they reached. It seemed as if falling within the clutches of mother nature was inevitable. Her hold on Alisa's hand tightened yet again as she could sense an unsettling feeling reside within her heart.

WORDS: 650 | TAG: @Xandra | CLOTHES

Seeing the girl's frown, Alisa responded with an apologetic, understanding look, equally slight and nigh imperceptible lest Xandra look especially hard. She fully understood how her whimsical nature posted one of the greater challenges to people close to her, far more so than her vanity or reclusive tendencies. A woman filled with contradictions in all but her core foundations, like rays of light beaming off a multi faceted diamond, different from every angle...

The grasp on the blonde's hand held firm, however, and when she slipped, she'd have found the sculptress' arm tensing with as much strength as needed: Steadying her companion and easing her onto the moist grass, whereupon a soft, amused giggle leaving her lips - once she confirmed Xandra hadn't hurt herself whatsoever.

It reminded her of their first night together, and she found herself leaning gently into the blonde...

They did whatever came to mind that night, not unlike they were doing now. Indeed, Alisa might have been completely driven out of her comfort zone... Had she been alone at least... Alas, she felt the furthest from alone she possibly could, so long as she had Xandra's warm hand to hold. Alas, her newfound appreciation for nightly showers such as these hinged solely on both women seeing it as such, feeling it as something to cleanse and wash away one's troubles... She defenitely understood why some people enjoyed this, as did the lightning mage... Alisa closed her eyes and tilted her head up, letting her long hair drape down in drenched tresses behind her; taking some of the water pouring down from above and returning it to the earth below.

She shifted her legs slightly, tugging up her dress as it clung to her skin, binding them uncomfortably. No longer pattering, the little drizzle soon became a heavy rainfall, pounding away with a vengeance. Faint goosebumps betrayed a hint of cold at a stronger breeze. It hardly bothered her, yet that biting sensation drew her eyes to Xandra's form, not simply in admiration of her beauty, but mainly concern.

Her clothes looked just as drenched as Alisa's, and worse, they looked heavier, enough to waterlog her and make every movement strained and stenuous. And the rain showed no sign of easing up... Thus, when Xandra turned to look, she'd have found Alisa looking straight into those eyes of lilac, nodding in agreement, her smile fading slightly with a tinge of concern:

"Truly... It's not quite as enjoyable as it felt a few minutes ago.", despite that cool, sardonic comment, the way she gripped the Knight's hand protectively hinted at those same feelings.

This storm had been too sudden, come too soon, struck too harsh... It might not stick around for long, but Alisa's instincts clamored for shelter, certain they hadn't seen the worst of it. But there they were, caught smack dab in the middle of a storm. This time, Alisa stood up on her own, posing no resistance should Xandra beat her to it. Otherwise, she'd speak up, running a hand up her forehead and slicking most of her hair back, away from her face:

"Come on... Lets see if we can find someplace suitable.", she'd urge, her voice calm and collected as ever, despite having to speak up for Xandra to hear her...

She'd still head for the gazebo despite the distance - for lack of better alternative - but even then she'd keep an eye on whatever thicker trees her eyes happened upon... If it came to that, she could use her magic to conjure something up, but she'd never be able to keep it up forever. With an eye on Xandra and another on the ever growing strom, she'd trudge through the muddy grasslands at a brisk pace, unsure of what she might find...

The warmth that radiated from Alisa was soon replaced by the sheer chill of the sky's ambush. The rain that was enjoyable mere moments ago had now become nothing less than a torrential downpour that strafed the bare exposed skin and threatened to penetrate through their clothing. The pink sweater she had worn to protect herself from the chill was now becoming a burden. As the two females hauled themselves off the ground, the gusts of winds that blitzed past them fastened their pace, colliding against them with a more intense impact and guiding the droplets towards the ground that they charged at.

The small ripples in the lake became a rapid, continuous phenomenon as the sound of the water clashing against the green leaves evaded through the vicinity. Her hold on the artist's hand loosened before freeing itself from any warmth that she received. As quickly as she possibly could, she slipped off the baby pink cardigan that had already become waterlogged and raised it above the heads of the two females. Alas, it wouldn't be of much help and possibly only tire her hands, but it reduced the strong impact of the water against their face.

As if on instinct, her body moved closer to Alisa's, craving a bit of warmth as her arms and legs were now bare. Lilac gaze shifted towards the rubies before glancing at the sky. Suddenly, memories from the night of their first encounter flashed across her eyes. At that moment, she would never have expected the two female to be together, running away from the storm in order to find shelter. The blonde couldn't help but find that amusing, displaying it through the small smile that played on her lips.

She also couldn't help but notice Alisa's state. As they were shielded from the rain, with only a few drops falling over their heads, she noticed the raven strands of hair sticking away from her forehead, leaving it on display as her dress stuck to her legs as they strolled. She too was perhaps in a similar condition. As the sauntered, her eyes hauled up to the sky, squinting as the droplets of water attacked them but what came into sight sparked not only curiosity within her but also awakened a sinister feeling that she couldn't quite grasp.

A spark of blue lightning emerged from behind the ground, evidently different from the other quick, white flashes. It was quite possible that she was merely imagining things but it proved to be difficult to picture such a large, vivid blue blaze that glowed across the sky. Her gaze flickered over to the sculptress, wondering if she too had witnessed that but ultimately, the burdening feeling in her heart overcame her actions. Her hand let the sweater rest over their heads as it proceeded to yet again slip within the grasp of the Pegasus mage's hand, tugging it ever so slightly. "We should hurry."

Her footsteps hastened, clashing against the damp pavement. She couldn't decipher why she felt so unsure, so uneasy but luckily, bringing her peace was the simple fact that the artist was right beside her. The entwining of their hands was possibly enough to lighten her heart a bit but more often than not, her eyes would return to the sky, noticing the absence of the divergent spark. Even she knew not what awaited the two females.

Alisa

WORDS: 750 | TAG: @Xandra | CLOTHES

Truly, Alisa never considered herself the kind of person who might freak out or snap under pressure. Even in the worst of circumstances she always managed to respond to whatever events with a clear head. She wasn't born this way, quite the opposite, she mastered it in the last couple of years. But even though this was obviously a troubling, troublesome situation - rain and winds alike battering away at them and impeding their every step - Alisa felt as if she wouldn't have needed it at all.

And one look at her explained why.

Despite worrying for Xandra's well being, that same sense of ease yet lingered, and Alisa sought it now more than ever. She gripped the girl's hand tight enough to prevent even the tiniest modicum of warmth from leaving them. She too brought herself close, enough for their shoulders to bump with every step.

Slow and steadily, they made progress... To the drumbeat of the booming thunderclouds, they pressed forth towards the only possible shelter they knew of, with nothing but their sense of direction to guide the way. But no matter how good Alisa's may be, she had no clue just how helpful it may turn under a dark, stormy night sky with a scarce few meters worth of visibility.

That minute sense of warmth soon faded, however, and under these circumstances the empty, cold feeling of disappointment didn't last long, as she watched Xandra remove her jacket and hoist her hands up, using that waterlogged jacket as a makeshift umbrella. She was about to make a witty comment about using a drenched object to keep out the rain, yet as the two women hastened their pace.

They shared a swift, yet reassuring look into each other's eyes in that moment, and Alisa unsurprisingly found Xandra smiling right back, equally amused by either the same detail, or something else entirely. She'd rest her hand under the Knight's nape, slipping under her lustrous blonde hair, shimmering under the occasional bright flashes from the thunderclouds above. The girl's pale skin, as beautiful as ever, yet colder than she ever felt her, would drive Alisa to pull her as close as she could while still letting them walk comfortably. As if the very winds could separate them at any given moment, Alisa visibly sought whatever measure of physical contact she could hold on to... To keep her warm now that Xandra deprived herself of her outer garment, but most of all, so that reassuring contact never truly broke.

They'd get through this, together.

Narrowing her eyes and taking a deep breath, Alisa let go of the heavy skirt, letting it cling to her legs like it so desired. While this made it harder for her to move, more vulnerable to the chilling breeze against her wet legs, it also liberated her right hand:

"You're too cold... Here.", she spoke up, channeling and releasing a small amount of mana, quickly crafting a one meter wide crystalline shield above them, the instant before the Knight's grip on her jacket gave way

Spoiler:

A makeshift umbrella that Alisa could keep hoisted above their heads, yet with its small size, she held it over Xandra first, and herself second. As she did this, a loud, buzzing spark drew her attention behind her. Or so she though, yet under this rainfall, she found it hard to grasp whether she really heard it, or if her mind simply played tricks on her... Xandra appeared visibly concerned too, and when she turned to look at Alisa, the sculptress merely nodded, and did what she did best.

"We should. The gazebo can't be much further now.", stay calm and collected, a reassuring smile and soothing presence, a comforting warmth that the Knight soon sought in earnest by seeking the artist's hand and grabbing on to it.

That touch alone felt more than enough to warm both heart and body, for her smile to widen even in this situation. She worried for her, yes... Yet standing by her side like this, she couldn't help but feel nothing could befall them so long as they stuck together. Alisa opened her palm, letting the blonde's slender fingers slip through the spaces between her own, speeding her own pace and angling her crystalline shield to ward off the worst of the rain as it hammered down on their faces...

The touch of her hand against the dampened nape of her neck sent shivers down her skin as the artists's cold fingers grazed back her hair, yet strangely enough they also brought forth a sense of warmth. Her lilac gaze glided upwards as her arm gave out, resting the dripping sweater on her shoulders in an attempt to shelter herself from the chill. She had completely forgotten that Alisa's magic would perhaps be able to provide a better barrier than a mere woolen cloth. Embarrassment flushed her pale cheeks against the cool winds as her hand showed no signs on loosening it's hold. The hardened material that covered them was truly a work of art as she found herself mumbling a small 'thank you' which probably dissolved within the sound of the pattering rain.

They walked synchronized with the step of the other as their hastened steps attempted to make their way towards the gazebo. Her eyes refused to remain still as they drifted from the sculptress beside her, to the distance through the tears of the sky, hoping to see their refuge and of course, they never forgot to glance upon the ebony sky for signs of the vivid spark yet again. It was highly likely to be a mere surreal phenomenon. However, something irked her, constantly jabbing at the back of her mind and guiding her attention to the flash of momentary memory. Even the way her shoulder slightly grazed against Alisa's or the grip of her hand wasn't able to entirely steal her mindfulness.

It was as if on instinct, her steps slowed down as her eyes remained fixated on the sky. Any moment now, she found herself thinking. Alas, there it was, appearing yet again. The bright blue spark of lightning that flashed against the sky. What became shocking to her was its direction. Unlike the other occasionally bolts of thunder, the divergent one blazed it's way through the sky, piercing through the rain as if it was about to attack the two females any moment now. Her mind found itself unable to function as her steps halted. She couldn't look towards the artist, only feel the touch of her skin. The sweater slipped off her shoulders as lilac irises widened when realization set in.

It was the urge to separate the sculptress from danger that caused her to tear her hand away and aim it directly for the radiant spark as she released a decently large amount of mana, allowing a flamboyant flare of yellow lightning to escape from the air around her hand, aiming it directly towards the unusual thunderbolt. Lilac irises sparked, twinkling in a shade of golden as the reflection of her own magic was showcased in her eyes. They wouldn't rip themselves away from the awe-striking scenery before her. Sparks of blue and golden went haywire against the darkened background of the sky. The rain had become the least of their concerns. Her heart felt heavy as if it were carrying a burden she never wished to haul yet at the same time, was completely mesmerized by the odd scenario that played out before her. What was happening? She knew not.

It all happened within mere moments and the two streaks of lightning collided against one another, discharging a large blinding light was caused her to shut her eyes. Through the tenebrosity, she could still see flares of white flash before her. Brows knitted together, she could feel an unusual surge of energy flow through her body. Her mind, nonetheless, drifted towards Alisa, wondering if she was okay; wondering what had actually just happened. What an unexpected day this had turned out to be.

Oh, so cute... Alisa caught little more than a mere glimpse of that faint pink on the blonde's cheeks, contrasting with the chilly pale of her skin, and - for lack of better alternative - attributed it to the bashful feeling of being sheltered. Nonetheless, that sight never failed to get a similar blush from the sculptress, and this time yielded no exception.

She couldn't hear the girl's words, but she could read those feelings off her expression easily enough: With a soft chuckle and a silent 'you're welcome', Alisa stuck close to the lightning mage, relying on whatever measure of physical contact they shared as the only source of warmth in the face of these raging, frenzied storm winds. She all but staggered as they shifted and blew right in front of them, whipping long tresses of raven hair in front of her face. Alisa winced, not even certain whether or not they were actually making any progress; for every step forward they took, the gales felt strong enough to blow them two steps backward...

Perseverance however, reigned supreme, and Alisa shed any and all doubts about their ability to find shelter. The gazebo couldn't be much further now; they'd get there soon...

All that time, there was... Something she couldn't quite place. For all the times she'd held the girl's hand, she'd never felt this before. At times Xandra felt relaxed, at other times troubled, sometimes simply happy... Not now though... If she didn't know better, she'd call this tension genuine fear, more than what one might feel after

being caught out in a storm.

Was Alisa really imagining things? If not, then just what was Xandra afraid of?

Soon, she noticed Xandra now spent much longer watching the skies than the horizon in search of shelter, or Alisa in search of comfort... Thankfully, their tribulation came to an end: The moment she caught sight of that recognizable figure, an indescribable sense of reprieve washed over her. There stood salvation, a beacon of hope. Amidst the pouring rain, the unmistakable shape of the gazebo stood firmly:

"There it is...! Hurry, let-", her smile widening and pace quickening, Alisa still had no chance of finishing this sentence, as this short lived sense of relief came to a close. Instead of moving forward, the blonde stopped, her eyes transfixed on the skies above.

And just as Alisa turned to look, the blonde suddenly wrenched her hand free and the sculptress' eyes went wide, seeking whatever she'd been looking at. Startled, she gasped at the sight of the odd colored lightning bolt, blitzing across the skies in a senseless direction, before plummeting down towards them. Reflexively, she raised her shield higher along it's path, but such a weak spell had no chance of stopping such a primal force of nature.

But the blonde's own magic could. Channeling her magic, she fired it at the blue thunderbolt, visibly struggling as she kept it away from the two of them.

"Xandra!!", she cried out, fists balled in front of her chest. She grit her teeth helplessly, unwilling to recall the last time she'd felt this powerless.

She couldn't exactly shoot spells at it, not could she punch it; all Alisa could do was watch from the sidelines as the two bolts of lightning ripped at each other. Furrowing her brow, she did what little she could: Stand by, stay ready to assist her, and hope for the best.

"Hold on... Just...", she opened her hand and reached out to the blonde, only to pull back at the last moment, remembering why she'd wrenched her hand free, "I'm right here. So... "

If Alisa touched it, all she'd get out of it was electrocution. Instead, she focused mana into her arms and legs amidst wordless, speechless mumbles. Sure, she was fast... But defenitely not lightning fast. At that moment though - as her concern pierced through her cool far more fiercely than lightning across the skies - the sculptress didn't care.

Should Xandra look at Alisa, she'd find those wine red eyes looking back, expectant but reassuringly, still confident in their ability to get through this. But should she prove unable to hold off nature's fury for much longer, Alisa looked ready to dive in and tackle her out of the way...

Flashes of golden and blue clashed against each other in the darkness like two entities of nature battling against one another with such grace. The small sparks that moved through the vicinity blazed with such speed that she barely managed to follow it. She could feel it, everything around her and yet, felt so oblivious to her own surroundings. Her feet were on the ground and yet, it felt as if she were floating in mid air. Blonde hair frenzied around wildly as the chill air no longer felt so cold. Instead, it was replaced by the dominant heat resulting from the collision of magic against the unpredictable occurrence of nature itself. She could feel the hair on her skin stand. Was it in fear of the unknown? or was it merely a reaction to the radiating fervor?

She found herself being consumed by a sense of loneliness as everything had began to feel foreign to her. However, through the unforeseeable scenario, a familiar voice reached her ears. A voice that brought forth a sense of peace and calm. The artist was right there, somewhere. It appeared that she was fine, which washed the Knight with a sense of relief. "Alisa?" The name rolled off her lips, as if confirming once again the presence of the sculptress close beside her. Never before had she felt so vulnerable. Somehow the events of her entire life passed before her eyes in a flash. No longer was she bothered by the rain. In fact, she was no longer even sure whether it was raining or not.

Her sole focus became searching for the crystal mage's voice but it appeared that fate had a different idea for her. A sudden jolt of pain bolted through her body, sending shivers down her spine and causing her to lose all focus. Unknowingly, her lips parted, letting out a loud scream laced with pain. However, that didn't last for long before the pain subsided into tiny streaks of shock. Was she perhaps being affected by the lightning? Never before had that happened and yet, here she was being electrocuted.

Slowly, the thoughts of Alisa slipped out of her mind as the very picturesque figure of the raven-haired beauty became a blur. It felt as if her mind was being controlled by someone or something that she could not decipher. No longer was the artist's voice audible, no longer could she hear the slight pattering of the rain in the background and no longer were the roars of thunder evading her ears. Instead, all she could hear was a whisper, repeating the same word over and over again. 'Raijin', was all she could hear. Xandra knew not what it meant, she knew not what was going to happen. Her vision became cloudy, engulfing the electric scenario into a smoke of white as all thought left her. Only one word was remembered by her.

"Kaminari", she whispered. There was no longer a sense of familiarity within her as she felt trapped. There was nothing she found herself able to do. Yet, it appeared that she was able to move. A large light embraced through the darkness, reigning over the collision of the lightning bolts, before completely devouring it. It took mere moments for the light to die out, revealing an unexpected sight. Xandra simply looked so different as her hair turned a few shades darker and grew longer, wildly swaying with the wind as her entire outfit was replaced with an Armour-like attire that covered her neck, chest, torso and hips. Sparks of vivid, blue lightning zapped around her as crystal like objects floated behind her, containing the power of Raijin's drums. Indeed, things had taken a turn for perhaps the worst.

WORDS: 700 | TAG: @Xandra | CLOTHES

She was winning...! The incessant flashes made it next to impossible to see, yet the blue thunderbolt reached no closer to the two of them, with aimless sparks flying off it in every direction instead. On more than one occasion did Alisa find herself sidestepping away from this or that spark, yet she refused to yield even a single meter worth of distance, standing her ground and as close to Xandra as she possibly could.

She'd stay with her until the end, and keep her safe however possible. If the blonde's endeavor succeded, Alisa would have provided nothing but moral support... But If all else failed, then she'd step in and become her lifeline.

Still, the electricity in the air felt palpable as it was, intensifying as time went on. The sculptress felt her hair standing on end just from hanging this close to her, and in a matter of minutes a tingling sensation started prickling all over her skin. Though it failed to deter her in any way, it only made her admire the blonde who now stood in the eye of the storm. Only a lightning mage had any hopes with whitstanding this thundering pressure, but even a lightning mage wasn't necessarily immune to it.

"I'm right here...!", echoed Alisa, barely catching her own name in that mellow voice she'd grown so accustomed to, balling her fist and curling her lip, "You won't lose.", she's state, firm and confidently.

Asserting her belief in the girl's strength without a shred of doubt... One might indeed call it moral support, yet for Alisa this was simply god's honest truth. Her lips all but drew into a smile the longer Xandra held on, that was, until the blue thunderbolt struck back. An ear splitting cry from the blonde startled and shocked Alisa to action: Split and weakened by the clash, that unyielding blue bolt seemingly burst forth and swallowed everything in an elecrifying burst:

"Xandra!!", Alisa shouted, a bone chilling sense of dread taking over her entire being. She dashed over, yet found herself nearly blown back by a growing pressure, forced to cross her arms over her face against the jolting, gale winds.

She couldn't see the blonde anymore, shielding her eyes as the light concealed her form under it's blinding gleam, and only barely made out the word spoken. Only when that flash subsided did the sculptress see her companion once more, only she had now changed, transformed...

Take Over...

It may look unexplicable to a mere onlooker, yet Alisa had seen this magic before, more than enough times to recognize its usage. Lucifer - the demon Lord of Pride - showed her its most iconic example, the one Alisa inevitably thought about whenever she saw a display such as this.

She understood the word Xandra spoke, and the image of those drum like constructs floating behind her, the iconic picture of a Raijin - an Eastern God of Thunder.

Yet she had no clue as to the nature of Xandra's manifestation, the vicissitudes of her arcane abilities, how could she have suddenly happened upon such a power. Had she always held it within her, or had the contact with that foreign lightning bolt bestowed it upon her?

Alisa gulped. She looked stunning and grandiose, baring her skin and flaunting her power with imposing grace, elegant sensuality... That shimmering blond hair whipping about under winds she herself seemed to bring forth, hovering weightlessly with her static discharge. Beautiful... So beautiful Alisa couldn't peel her eyes away from the girl's form, and soon settled on those shimmering eyes of lilac, and felt a tinge of unease. Yet, other than her renewed visage, something else about her felt different:

"Are you alright, Xandra...?", she called out, taking one step towards her. Despite her unease, she felt a clear sense of relief to see her unharmed.

That said, Alisa soon remembered another bit of information concerning Take Over magic and their users... Instability. Taking powerful magic from a foreign entity and making it part of one's body might be a brilliant idea in theory, yet that unusual nature makes it difficult to control, especially among inexperienced users.

She didn't know how this instability might express itself in her lovely but fierce companion. If she happened to attack her, this might prove troublesome. In the middle of rainstorm, she'd have little chance of dodging lightning based attacks. Hopefully, Alisa could help her seize control of whatever power had taken hold of her

The noticeable bliss that was felt by the blonde upon hearing the words of the sculptress was now shattering into tiny fragments. The voice that encouraged her was starting to fade off into a distance, having managed to stay for so long only through sheer willpower. This time, she simply found herself falling into darkness with nothing to save her except she herself who also happened to be the one person she could rely on least at the moment.

Her senses were wide awake. She could now feel the pressure of water hit her skin, she could feel the heavy gusts of wind blow past her, she could feel the heat that engulfed her. What soon became a realized fact was that it was no longer her who received the excess warmth but the one who radiated it, contrasting against the cool breath of mother nature. Lilac eyes looked hazy, lazily attempting to see past the heavy rain and get a good lance at the silhouette figure that raised familiarity within her.

Alisa, it was the artist standing right there. She knew it but somehow, her body decided against it; it appeared to see her ally as an enemy. Desperation overcame her as the sudden fear of having to hurt the sculptress despite not wanting to felt like a heavy burden. The silhouette too soon disappeared within the sparks blue lightning that swirled around, embracing her as if it were protecting something precious. It felt as if the lightning itself was taking over her entire existence, as if it saw everyone besides the blonde Knight as an enemy.

Similarly, realization dwelled within her as she concluded that the thunder saw her too as a hazard before, but now, the only hazard it saw was the crystal mage. Slowly, yet surely, she found all reasoning, the desperation, the feelings slip past her fingers and the mere thought of shielding herself took over her instincts. It was as if she could smell the danger that lurked around her and much to her dismay, it appeared to be the sculptress.

The animistic instincts of survival suddenly coarsed through her veins as she no longer felt any emotion, any pull towards the female. In fact, there mere thought of the artist slipped through her mind which was too preoccupied with protecting her body from any danger. The slight movement she saw before her as the silhouette figure raised it's arms to cover its face brought nothing but a tingling sense of peril.

However, as unknown as this was to her, it also allowed a rush of adrenaline to freely pump through her body. Her lips curved into a smile as she let out a small chuckle before raising both of her gloved hands were wrapped with swiveling streaks of thunder. The pattering of the rain made it all the more enjoyable for her. However, something in her mind kept telling her not to do anything. Without a doubt, that mere thought was discarded as thoughts no longer mattered; only instinct did.

Her immediate move to jump right back, approximately three meters, using the tip of the toes on her bare right foot as the coinciding arm raised, pointing straight towards the silhouette figure. A small giggle left her lips as all her fingers folded into her palm, except the index one which moments later let out a large streak of lightning, aimed towards the unknown figure.

Alisa

WORDS: 800 | TAG: @Xandra | CLOTHES

As the mere action of stepping towards her triggered a defensive posture, Alisa felt an aching pain inside her, tearing at her heart. Seeing her like this, treating Alisa as an enemy, ready to attack her... It stung more than any stray spark that might have electrocuted her this whole time. She couldn't even take comfort in the notion that this wasn't really Xandra, not so long as she was like this...

Not herself...

Thus, Alisa's stance stood loose and fluid, weight shifting - swaying even - from one foot to the next, ready to spring to action at any moment. She took slight steps left and right on occasion, keeping herself mobile... Xandra indeed looked to her like one would gaze at an enemy, yet this wasn't really her. Alisa had been staring at this girl for hours on end, to a point where they could communicate without uttering a single word. She knew most looks those radiant lilac eyes could give her, and this resembled none of those.

Like two gunslingers ready to duel come high noon, Alisa stared her friend: Her focused eyes saw nothing but a foe to bring down, yet deep down, she hardly believed Xandra had so suddenly turned into an enemy.

Seeing her point her finger like that came with a pretty powerful clue as to what manner of attack she might

unleash. And when it lit up, she sprung to action. As she had her left foot leading, she merely lifted it slightly off the ground with a tap, activating a spell and kicking off with its right twin towards her left side. Simultaneously, Alisa clenched her fist, triggering yet another spell:

50 Mana:

She didn't know how large Xandra's spell might be, yet she gambled on her likely undeveloped affinity to this novel power, and even then she cut it pretty close, the thin, piercing lightning grazing her bare shoulder... Just as the blonde would feel a thick crystal rod striking behind her at high impact, propelling her straight towards Alisa.

The sculptress' initial sidestep however, took less a twentieth of a second. Her left foot landed first, and her right foot followed in close at the end, tapping the ground once more as it passed by its sibling. And with both feet close together for maximum acceleration, Alisa kicked off, this time straight towards Xandra... Ultimately leaving the two women charging towards each other at incredible speed, with Alisa moving a few inches towards her companion's right side.

Even Alisa found reacting to any of these actions impossible, she simply flowed through them as she had done many times in training. Her hands (already held high to begin with) easily stretched out on either side of the lightning mage's head. Alisa really didn't want to hurt her... So her actions naturally lead into that least painful path, snapping shut around Xandra's head, right over her ears.

Upon hitting, this clapping attack would produce incredible pressure, even with Alisa's restraint it would easily disable someone as powerful as Xandra, a loud, stunning ringing in her ears leaving her helpless against the sculptress followup.

As they were still being flung towards each other, the tall fighter's right hand grabbed on to Xandra's head while the same foot rooted firmly, pointed towards Alisa's right side.

This relative position naturally pulled her into a pivot, rolling around Xandra and slipping behind the crystalline drums, stopping only when the tall woman's voluptuous form pressed as tightly as possible against the transforming mage's back. This shift in position fully coiled Alisa's right arm around the blonde's neck, and she followed it hooking that hand on the crook of her left elbow, and finally resting the left firmly atop her head, fully locking Xandra into a sleeper hold.

Considering Alisa's speed, that of her pushing spell and the initial three meter distance between them, this attack took only slightly over a tenth of a second to execute, effectively meaning the sculptress saw no possible escape for it...

This technique wouldn't choke the air out of her, but instead restrict the flow of blood to her brain, painlessly knocking her unconscious. By employing a submission hold, she ensured that even if Xandra electrocuted her, the resulting tension Alisa's her muscles would only make the grapple harder to break past:

"Sleep...", urged Alisa with a soft, soothing whisper, planting a tender, loving kiss on the girl's head, despite the prickly static flowing into her from every point of contact, "It'll be over soon..."

Despite trying to knock her out, this strong, unyielding hold had a certain affection to it, and even if Xandra struggled, Alisa wouldn't do more than wrap her legs around the blonde's body as much as her dress allowed it, minimizing any chance of escape.
