FOR THE MANJI WHO COULD EVER LOVE ME? It didn't matter what body, what face, or what soul; Nameless sought it out every time, every era. She had other reasons for it, but for now, in this life, in the back of the mind of a lost woman, she sought redemption. She was nothing more than a stain on history, a lost being that held tremendous power that was unrivaled by anyone. She was the key to every secret in the world, other than her own. That was her curse. She knew everything about everyone, but she did not know how, or why she lived. It was ages ago the last time she even came close to bringing the world together. People came to her, used her powers to their own advantage, all at the cost of offerings to herself. He who paid the largest price, had their secrets locked for good. But that was ages ago. Chi walked the fogged streets. It was a late afternoon and she had grown uneasy with Shura. He was different, he was inhuman. He was nothing like who she met so long ago, but still, deep down in his soul, he was the same man. "If we wish to achieve anything, we start with it." the voice rang again as Chi walked the streets. Few people seemed to be out. Whoever, whatever she met tonight, they could speak freely. No one would care enough to listen to them Besides, now she was a part of Phantom Lord. |

It was very dark in Oak, like something bad was awaiting the city, but she doubt that would happen. Not with many Grimoire Hearts stationed here and of course Phantom Lord. Her eyes trailed the building, the one pillar that was still broken and would make it easy to bring the church down. Something she wouldn't do; it was no use. She couldn't help but smile while shaking her head, it seemed a long time ago that they planned to attack this church for fun.
She turned her heel and walked off the street back to the shops and bars, it was very foggy and dark here. Again she had the feeling that there was something waiting to happen but she would see what it would be. Her vampire eyes scanned the streets and even with the fog she would still be able to see very well, but she only spotted one person. Her eyes turned even more red, oh.. she was hungry. She felt her sharp teeth poke in her lower lip, but she wouldn't give in to this insanity again.

FOR THE MANJI WHO COULD EVER LOVE ME? The laughing began. "It seems this city brings you the same misfortune it brought me, years ago." It bounced off the sides of her skull. It was growing to annoy her, the volume at which she spoke. She just wanted one moment to have peace. Just once moment to enjoy the silence. "Why do I get the feeling someone is smelling you again?" Chi's concern rose. Her god was locked away in a case that was slung on her back as it was since the first day. She had learned from her test that letting her rest on the skin of her back was a horrid idea that gave her little control of her own being, but that would have it's importance another day. That deity was whittled down to nothing but an absence of life. All that remained of her was the rotting flesh of her once living body. her consciousness bound to it, bound to Chi. She couldn't leave the artifact behind even if she wanted to. They were too close, too bonded to try and separate now. To do so would submit herself to insanity. But with each passing moment Chi knew that the case would soon be worn out and stained from within. Blood would stain the outer metals, and if she wasn't careful blood would seep from the seams of it. She learned from Bianca the stench it gave. It was something to ward off vampires, sure. It was from a body lost to eras ago. Even Shura found his own interest in it being a demon. Whatever it really was, it had an effect on the inhuman, but for now it sat locked up. But still the stains of the last venture would show itself to the rear of her dress. Her shoes no longer black, but a warn Burgundy brown. Chi would turn, only to find a single woman. It was just her luck. but it was best to stay on the good side of the gods. "Excuse me!" she called out. She would slowly make her way towards the female. Hopefully this time she would find some answers. |

As much as Nas liked to keep her sanity, it was always a struggle and there was no Victoire who would try to snap her out of it, not that it would work. But now she simply shook her head and it was gone. Her red eyes stopped glowing and of course she still wouldn't mind to drink blood but she wasn't going to lose her mind over it, that was nice. But what was it, was it a smell or a vibe that she was feeling without really noticing and thus it had stopped her from going crazy? Which was a funny thing to say, Nastasya Crowe barely had any morals but she still knew the way she would like to handle things with her mind and bigh mouth, mostly to spit out cynical comments. If she turned into her insane version, she wouldn't even be able to say words and basically only drool until she sunk her teeth in a victim.
She was so lost in her short self pity moment that she looked up in surprise when she heard that one person call out with an; excuse me. Oh no.. perhaps it was not really a good idea to get closer, what if her insanity kicked back in again. Yet Nastasya never backed down from anything, so neither for this beautiful looking woman. She tried to look uninterested, which was okay as long as she kept her sanity, "Yes? Anything I can help you with?"

FOR THE MANJI WHO COULD EVER LOVE ME? Oak was a strange place, but so was her home in the land of Sin. Half the residents were human, if you could still consider them that, while the rest ranged from halfbreeds and other oddities. Chi was accustomed to them, but still she could not tell who was what, or what each was. For what was which, was not worth which way. . . "Anyone this careless is definitely someone to watch." Nameless suggested to Chi, "And anyone to watch in Oak, is probably a mass murderer." While the facts stood with their own personal experiences, they had to come into each event with a clean slate and fresh mind. No one knew who she was, and if they did, her surname held the weight of nobility, not her own personal identity. To those that knew of her, she was nothing more than a shrine maiden, and one of a half dozen who were completing a pilgrimage. She was a woman of the cloth. And a bloodstained one at that. "Would you happen to know which direction Dahlia is from here?" she would ask a question she half knew the answer to. There was something about this carefully crafted event that she just couldn't let slip by. |

She brushed the long red strains of hair out of her face and looked at the woman that spoke to her, "Dahlia?" she said a little bit surprised, it was mostly known as a town for evil mages and evil creatures. But she wouldn't say anything, don't judge a book by it's cover yet. "I just came from Dahlia," She gave a small smile, hiding her canine to not show immediately that she was a vampire. A person could always guess but she wouldn't give everything away immediately. "You should follow the route all the way to the East. Past Magnolia and you will find it." She had to swallow her sarcastic comment about telling the priest she said Hi. Because she would wait for Odin to kill this man.
If she would see her friend again, could she consider him a friend? He told her to lay low, which was definitely boring.

FOR THE MANJI WHO COULD EVER LOVE ME? It was simple, easy, and just... unexpected. Nothing in this land had ever came this forward and simple. No, something was odd, or perhaps nothing was? No, this girl was far too suspicious. Maybe giving the answer was a way to be rid of Chi. Maybe she had other things to tend to than to give directions. Maybe it was nothing. But why did she had this feeling? "Thank you." Chi would say in reply, "Looks like the church is closer than I thought..." The second part she said to herself mostly, but she made no effort to hide it. She had to find Caitlyn, and she had to find her fast. Something was brewing and it was bad. Chi could feel a storm coming. It didn't matter what she did, it only mattered when she took action. If Chi was too late, then she could run the risk of losing vital support. She didn't need to deal with the loss of Manji blood. She needed to make sure her plans went perfect. Everything had to be perfect. (Sorry about the super late reply ;-;) |

But she kept this open expression on her face as if she was only curious, she wasn't even sure if it was to her that this young woman spoke but she was surely curious now. Though she had promised Odin to not do anything bad but well he would have to agree with the idea right here right? It couldn't be a better idea, that is if it was true what she thought right now. She told herself to keep an open mind about it, before she would do something that would make no sense in the end and she might have to clean up the mess; definitely something she didn't feel for.

FOR THE MANJI WHO COULD EVER LOVE ME? "Sorry to disappoint," Chi would answer swiftly, almost before the question was finished. "But I have a brain, and to work for that man you'd have to be a mindless pawn." She would smile, nothing too telling of her own nature. She would hold onto her lost tourist guise for the moment. But naturally, Chi had more questions than she wanted to naturally deal with. To have others collect information for her would be enough to satisfy her. "His church is far too close to my own. I was supposed to see that he relocates."She spoke again with a more dark tone to her words. The Manji name was still new to the earth of Fiore, but still the shrines lingered and were cared for by locals. Some tended to them without knowing the real story behind them, but all benefited Chi Lau in the end. However this Dahlia Temple would serve its purpose as her own base of operations. Soon everything would carry out the role it was intended to serve. Every life would have its meaning. Every pawn would obey its king. But in this case, they would obey their queen. |

The next part the beautiful lady said surprised the vampire, "You have your own church?" Which definitely was something interesting but she didn't want to come off as too curious, she definitely was. She walked a few steps closer, the smell again made her confused, "I wouldn't mind to kick that bastard away, only I just came from Dahlia." she simply said with a shrug just to get her point across: she didn't like the bishop either.

FOR THE MANJI WHO COULD EVER LOVE ME? "My full name is Chisu Lau Manji. I hail from the Manji Clan. We came from Sin, by force, not choice. Long ago it seemed as if our ancestor made this country their home. Since we've came here, we've done everything to bring back out heritage, including restoring our old temple. She spoke, and before she knew it, secrets slipped from her tongue. "A mercenary without a name, most of the mages then referred to our ancestor as Nameless. It's quite funny really. One story says she used to feed on corpses like a mad animal just to show her devotion to her friends. Salavtore. I think they were a vampiric clan then. But that's neither here nor there." "You dare mock us? You ate a man's heart out the other day!" The voice rang in her head, and Chi immediately regretted her choice. It was better to try and ignore it as a myth than to back track it. She could only hope that the girl would dismiss the tale, or perhaps find joy or amusement in it. Chi had choices to make, and trying to get this girl on her side would be one of them. After all, one more ally meant one less enemy. |

As much as this person did sound interesting, she wondered what her goal was with restoring temples and everything? That sounded as a job you kept to yourself and your family and perhaps to pray for this Nameless person that she just told Nastasya a bit more about, "Where are my manners, you just introduced yourself, I'm Lilja Oswald, nice to meet you. You sound like a very interesting person."

FOR THE MANJI WHO COULD EVER LOVE ME? With sight of the fang, it only solidified the proof of them. She had met Bianca before, and she shared a similar trait. Chi would have laughed if it didn't make her look mad insane, so she held it. She was a human, for now. . . . but if the time came, something would awaken from within and turn her something much more sinister. "Oswald." she repeated. "Lilja is a beautiful name." She would begin to look to the sky, judging the color of the clouds. Sure some time had passed, but she was none too late. She had the day to spare, for now at least. "When I make my way to the town of Dahlia, I'll be sure to whisper that name in his corpse's ear." She would say it with a smile, wondering what other people this strange city would hold. Surely no one here was normal. Everyone seemed to be inhuman. But something inside of her told her to wrap things up. Something felt unsure, unstable. It was nothing to do with the woman, but something else of the rather. But what? What was wrong? |

Perhaps it was time to work on whatever she promised Odin but well she knew that would never happen. "Well again it's going to the west and past Magnolia, it's easy to find." besides she seemed smart enough. As she felt the urge again to sink her teeth into something, it might be the sky, it might be something else, it might be good to go. Who know maybe Nastasya could go to Dahlia later and meet this Chi again, check if the bishop was dead. "It's late I should go. Good luck on your journey." She said, no idea if they would meet again but she definitely wouldn't mind.
Exit.
