If there is a natural source of earth nearby then immediately after the spell is cast the earth is drawn in small usually unnoticeable particles from the source to one selected part of the caster’s body, covering either a part of a limb, or the head or upper or lower torso. The shielding in the form of a plate as large as the selected body part for defence against up to a single C-rank attack or two D-rank attacks. If there is no nearby source of earth, the plate is still crafted but with a delay of up to five seconds as the earth is gathered from the particles of dirt within the immediate area as a bases and the rest of the plate being crafted with magic, still only capable of defending against up to a single C-rank attack or two D-rank attacks before the spell is destroyed. Once cast, the spell is set to last no longer than the instant it is used.- Cause everything's better wit pics:
- Ten Plates of Protection (D-rank):
- Name: Ten Plates of Protection
Rank: D-rank
Mana Cost: 25 per post sustained
Requirements: Stone Plate Magic or Any other earth element magic that allows for earth to be molded in a spell.
Type: Defensive
Element: Earth
Range: Within 5 meters of the caster
Cooldown: 1 Post after spell has officially ended/ is no longer being sustained.
Duration: Sustain
Effect: The user of this spell activates it first by drawing their hands back stretching the full wing span of their arms and then bringing them together in a furious clap. The resting position of the hands reminiscent of a priest baring his hands to pray. After activation, the caster must place their hands flat on a likewise flat surface for the spell to work. Once complete, ten walls (each one 121cm wide x 243cm long x 5cm deep) made from combined earth plates, raise from the surface of where the caster’s hands were placed. All of the walls appear in one spot, back to back directly together to block up to one C-rank spell in damage or two D-rank spells in damage. The spell can be sustained for multiple posts until either the user has no more mana to sustain it or the spell has been destroyed.- Cause everything's better wit pics:
- Weighted Plates (D-rank):
- Name: Weighted Plates
Rank: D-rank
Mana Cost: 25 per post sustained
Requirements: Stone Plate Magic or Any other earth element magic that allows for earth to be molded in a spell.
Type: Debuff
Element: Earth
Range: Within 5 meters of the caster
Cooldown: 1 Post after spell has officially ended/ is no longer being sustained.
Duration: Sustain
Effect: The user of this spell activates it by widening their stance and stretching both arms forward in front of themselves, the palms of their hands facing upwards followed by the clenching of both fists simultaneously. Once cast, a weighted plate made of earth forms in the user’s hand. If this plate touches a single target, whether thrown by the user to hit the target or attached to the target up close by hitting them with the plate directly from hand, the plate will attach itself upon contact with the target's physical body (not clothing), and add weight in the amount of a D-rank debuff to the target’s speed. Once applied as long as the affected target is within 5 meters of distance of the caster, and the sustain cost has been paid for that turn the debuff is applied to the target as heavy weight that slows their total speed. If the weight doesn’t contact the target (was thrown out of hand and missed) or if the target is hit initially but leaves the 5m reach of the caster the debuff is cancelled out/not applied.- Cause everything's better wit pics:
- Plates of Dust (D-rank):
- Name: Plates of Dust
Rank: D-rank
Mana Cost: 25 per post sustained
Requirements: Stone Plate Magic or Any other earth element magic that allows for earth to be molded in a spell.
Type: Supplementary, Aoe
Element: Earth
Range: In ball form: up to 5 meters, Once expanded: 1 meter in diameter
Cooldown: 1 Post after spell has officially ended/ is no longer being sustained.
Duration: Sustain
Effect: The user of this spell activates it by clasping their hands together in front of them, and proceeding to turn them upside, their connected thumbs pointing upward, opposite of the other fingers so that in total the hands' shape should resemble a diamond. The user then channels the nearby dirt and dust into a thick compact cloud that is spherical shaped, 29.5 inches of circumference; just about the size of a basketball, and propels it forward of them. If the cloud happens to make contact with anything within the five meters it is propelled forward, it immediately stops and is dispersed into a larger spherical cloud that's one meter in diameter from the point of impact. This deals no damage but may serve as a form of cover to remain out of sight, or may even serve as a way to better see cloaked or camouflaged people/things, assuming that they'd get caught in the dust. Although after the initial cast of the spell, the resulting cloud can be sustained for a longer duration of time given the mana cost is paid.
- Rift Closing Plates (D-rank):
- Name: Rift Closing Plates
Rank: D-rank
Mana Cost: 25 per post sustained
Requirements: Stone Plate Magic or Any other earth element magic that allows for earth to be molded in a spell.
Type: Supplementary
Element: Earth
Range: 5 meters in distance/ height
Cooldown: 1 Post after spell has officially ended/ is no longer being sustained.
Duration: Sustain
Effect: To activate this spell the user forms a specific hand sign where their hands are firmly grasped together with the index and middle finger pointed outward, and touches the tips of their middle fingers to their forehead. Once this is done, 5 platforms made from stone plates raise from the ground each 3.2 feet or 1 meter long, placed together back to back for a total outward and/or upward distance of 5 meters, allowing the user to traverse the distance across them if they need to get over a tall object or a gap (assuming it is within 5 meters of distance). The plates provide no additional capabilities or uses than stepping stones essentially.- Cause everything's better wit pics:
