Personal Name: Leonarda Barone Age: 18 Gender: Female Sexuality: Heterosexual Class: Warlock Rank: D-rank Guild: Guildless Tattoo: On her right wrist. Face: Fumika Sagisawa - Idolmaster Appearance Height: 161cm Weight: 52kg Hair: Brown Eyes: Blue Overall: There's a certain unmistakable fragility to Leonarda's appearance, owed both to how she looks and how she carries herself. The girl possesses a light and slender frame, something akin to a swimmer's build, though no such musculature is present on her body. Her skin is extremely fair, unblemished by outdoors activities and indicating a lifestyle that rarely involves exposure to sunlight. When it comes to the more private parts of her figure, there is little to say on the matter. Leonarda has a average bust and average figure, further adding to the average look she presents to others. That fragile aspect of her appearance becomes even more obvious when setting eyes on the girl's face. She's small, skittish features that seem to twitch in response to the smallest fright or threat, and large doe-like eyes that appear to display both innocence, and an odd kind of tiredness thanks to the beginnings of dark circles around them. That appearance of cloudiness is aided by Leonarda's long brown hair, roughly shoulder-blade length with bangs that fall just slightly over her eyes, casting a constant gloomy shade over her gaze. When it comes to clothing, the only particular thing Leonarda pays attention to seems to be comfort. Although her attire is far from slob-like or lazy, it has a kind of old-fashioned softness in all it's parts, often involving sweaters and shawls and other cozy little pieces that she can wrap herself up in. She's also almost always seen with a hairband of some sort. Why, with the unique, old-fashioned, slightly-conservative way of dress Leonarda has, it wouldn't at all be hard for one to guess her bookish nature. Extra: Has a birthmark roughly the shape of an 'X' on her waist. Personality Personality: Leonarda Barone is not the most stable or confident of people. One could see it just in her appearance, how bookish and skittish the girl is, like a fragile little animal. The very sight and closeness of people in some cases can evoke a reaction from her similar to as if she was staring down some great and frightening beast. It goes without saying then that Leonarda does not exactly excel when it comes to social skills, thanks to a great deal of shyness and anxiety she experiences in such interactions, especially when on her own. In the presence of the few people she's come to trust and be comfortable with, the girl might just manage, but otherwise, she's liable to turn into a stuttering mess, fraught with nerves and a diminished self-confidence. Thanks in no short part to this social ineptitude, Leonarda is an extremely introverted young girl. Despite how gloomy and depressive she often seems, when on her own and doing something as simple as reading a book or enjoying a nice cup of tea, the girl can become extraordinarily peaceful and contented. She simply finds a great deal of pause and simplicity in enjoying time by herself in the comfort and safety of whatever temporary home or shelter she can find. During such a time, she may just be able to engage in a bit of small talk with another, provided the mood remains calm and soothing. Overall, Leonarda is uniquely volatile in that regard, and as few have found, her emotional disposition can sway from anxious to contented... To pure loathing. Though its a side of herself she does a great deal of work to suppress, Leonarda is a girl filled with and fueled by a deep judgemental nature. Thanks to her deep-seated self-hatred, and a horrendous persecution complex, Leonarda often finds herself thinking unfairly on others, doing her best to demean them and their achievements or gifts in her mind in some feeble attempt to feel better herself. Fortunately, Leonarda is aware enough of these twisted thoughts of hers, and does her best to suppress them, to the point of overcompensation. Her shy nature is no act, but often times, the kindness she shows others isn't so much out of the goodness of her heart, as it is atonement for her darker thoughts. There may be, however, times where she shows true, unbreakable affection, but these occasions are few and far between, and reserved for those she cares most for in this life. Likes:

History History: Unlike a certain sibling of hers, Leonarda did not have the distinction of only knowing the Barone household as her family. No, she had the great displeasure of growing up for the first 13 years of her life in a different family, under a different name... In Eastern Fiore, the noble family of Marquardt once lived with a great deal of power and influence. They were effective not only as businessmen and politicians, but also as mages, a strength they used for a number of frowned upon purposes. But, in spite of their corruption, it was always said they showed respect, not only to those who served them, but also within their own family, a supposedly tight-knit unit in which all the children were raised for the bright futures ahead of them. All except for one. One of the middle children, a young girl who would go on to have the name Leonarda, was the family's black sheep, for reasons she never fully understood. All she knew was that at breaking, no one spoke to her. During the days, no one would ever approach her to play. And during the evenings, she slept apart from her few siblings. She wasn't to go near them, her parents would tell her. In her earliest years, that simple neglect wasn't too hard for her to endure. But as time went on, it evolved into something stranger, something darker. Her siblings didn't seem to understand why she was neglected so, but all did know was that she was, for whatever reason, different from them. And really, it goes without saying what children do to those different to them. It started off verbal, a few words her way in spite of her attempts to keep to herself. The already shy and uncertain girl obviously did little to respond, aside from a few tears. So, as she aged, and as they aged, things gradually became worse. Occasionally, it escalated to physical threats, sometimes carried out. And although on these occasions her siblings would be scolded, Leonarda knew deep down that her 'parents', the noble heads of the Marquardt family, couldn't care less what happened to her. Particularly her mother, who made no attempts to disguise how much she loathed Leonarda. As she got older, and grew to find new ways to suffer and to tolerate, Leonarda developed that volatile mixture of envy and curiosity that still resides within her today. Why, why was she treated like this? Why did her siblings get to be treated so much better? They didn't do anything to deserve it, she was just as capable as them when it came to all the etiquette and teaching the nobles had to undergo. Her loathing grew, as did her confusion as to what exactly had caused this hellish situation of hers. And eventually, whether she liked it or not, she got her answers. As she'd approached her breaking point, Leonarda finally decided enough was enough. One night, following a day of torment by her siblings, the young girl decided to finally confront her mother about what had happened. With a unique sort of hatred fueling her quest, Leonarda set out, found her mother and started yelling. And yet, much to her surprise, her mother was calm, and without questioning, told Leonarda the truth with a devious and cruelly calm smile. It was far too much to handle for her. And perhaps that's why she's long forgotten it. All she remembers is the fear, the terror she faced in knowing not only the reasons behind her past, but also the factors that would influence her future... As well as the fact that after hearing it, Leonarda planned on running away. Though her recollections of those days are hazy, she remembers she gathered her things, set a date, had it all planned, but... It never came to fruition. The night before she intended to leave at daybreak of the next morning was a night she'll not soon forget, even if there isn't much to remember. There was a thudding at her door, that awoke her in the middle of the night. She stepped toward the thudding, that strange powerful knocking, and for whatever reason, felt no fear. Stricken perhaps by tiredness and delusion, she opened the door, and all she remembers after that, is awaking the next morning. She awoke asleep on the floor, angry at herself for seemingly sleeping through her chance to run away. And yet, no one had come to wake her, strangely enough. So she sought to investigate, and made her way to the dining hall, where surely her family would be having breakfast. Only, when she opened the door, she found something much different. Corpses. All of their corpses. She doesn't really know in detail what happened after that, only that a single thought went through her mind as she rushed back to her room, locking herself within. They'll think I did it, she thought. And that 'who' that would assume her, the sole survivor of this bloody tragedy? Well, at first, she assumed it would be the Rune Knights, who'd grow suspicious of the activity around the Marquardt estate. But instead... A pair of Phantom Lord members, hired by allied nobles, came to investigate. One of them found her, cowering in her own room, cowering from him as soon as he'd opened the door. And yet, when he found her, he smiled. Softly, reassuringly. He told her his name. Baldo Barone. From what she remembers, Baldo hid her from his partner, and promised he could protect her, take her somewhere safe. The confused and scared Leonarda had no reason to refuse, really. When the time was right, Baldo took her away, took the frightened and bewildered girl away from the pain, and into the arms of a brand new family within the Barone orphanage. New siblings, who accepted her right away, and a new future, that was hers to craft. It's history from, though hardly a happy ever after... After all, with the imprisoning of Baldo Barone for crimes committed for the sake of his children, tensions are high at the Barone orphanage. And although Leonarda's eldest sister, a woman who she feels a great deal of respect and jealousy towards, has headed out to try and aid this issue, things still aren't looking good... And as one of the older children in the orphanage, Leonarda knows, that this time... This time, she might be able to save her family, the one she actually cares about.
