Rishi couldn't believe she let her psycho side take over. She had been holding it back for so long, all these little thoughts on acting like her dad eating away at the back of her mind. It had taken over tonight, and she suddenly got the urge to go and... eat. Of course, she had gotten her other meal not too long ago, but she wasn't planning to get a small lick this time. She was going to get what she had wanted for so long, a full meal. She was going to get enough to last her for a year, and even though the place she had planned to do it wasn't the best, it would just have to do. The stars had been out on that fine night, and Rishi had been hiding in the shadows, waiting for her time to strike. There had been so many people around, but what she was looking for wasn't a full grown male, nor a small pet. She was looking for a child, one that would be easy to grab without too much of a problem. She scanned the area to also see a Rune Knight possibly patrolling, causing a dark smile to form on her face. This was going to be great. She would have so much attention on her, and even though this wasn't something that a Fairy Tail mage was supposed to do, she felt that it was the right thing to do, and she was going to carry out with her plan. She had walked out of the shadows, her fangs out. This was her time to strike, and now she had spotted her target. It was maybe a nine-year-old child who seemed he wanted to stray away from his parents. He didn't look like one that would listen to his parents, so she had walked up to him and crouched down, pulling a lollipop out of her pocket. "Hey there kid, want a lollipop?" This was going to be way too easy. The kid had nodded and had taken the lollipop from her hand, now taking that first sweet lick. She had laughed before her eyes had gotten a bit darker and she grabbed him by the shoulders, digging her teeth deep into his neck. She had heard a few screams, but no one had come to stop her. She had been taking big sips, and soon enough things had been starting to run a bit dry. By then the kid had barely enough strength to call out for help, and just to make sure he didn't let out a cry, she bit in and pulled her mouth away, tearing that part of his neck away from his body, exposing some of the muscles in his throat. She laughed and threw him off to the side, spitting out the chunk of meat she had taken out of the kid's neck. That's when she had remembered the Rune Knight. How would she react? Did she even see what had taken place? She would find out soon enough. | @Akira 510 / 200 WORDS Note: Come and try to stop me! I bet you can't! |

Things had been seemingly calm, the people, for the most part, had dispersed. A few families lingered, perhaps they'd wished to enjoy the breathtaking view of the starry sky overhead. Oh, how wrong they were... All the poise of peace of the cool night was going to be shattered. She'd already seen him before, while she strolled on, he was a young child, complaining to his parents about them not buying him a dessert after their dinner... The counter-argument was that the stalls that sold the sweet delicacies were already closed. Aki had even rolled her eyes at the lack of empathy, that the kid displayed for his parents' plight. She'd found herself wondering if she too had been a child as insolent as this... Then she cursed the kid. It was just one of those, thoughtless things that formed in her mind. Stupid kid, I hope he learns a lesson.
That was it. Seconds later, the boy had broken free from his mother's grip and was running amok. A sweet looking, silver-haired girl had stopped to offer him a lollipop. That is one way to pacify the kid. How kind. Aki had thought, rather snarkily. Just before the crimson eyed creature, kissed him? What was going on? Â Perhaps, just like her other people too, assumed that these were curious and precocious children kissing each other for some reason. On the cheek or something? Was it the neck? Perhaps they'd seen someone be intimate that way, and thought it was a good idea to try it out? Geez. The parents needed to put a leash on these two. She'd just about turned away when she heard the cry that pierced through the night. It wasn't until then that the duo had attracted any attention. Only then, did Aki realized what was really happening... and it was already too late.
~
She was a few meters away from the monstrous girl and the child that soon collapsed after barely any struggle. The parents ran towards their precious son, wailing as the daunting nature of the girl's crime became apparent to them, as did the loss as she tossed away the body. Akira sank into her hyper-focused mode. She had to do something, this girl couldn't just be left loose. First order of business was to clear everybody out, so the vampyre didn't take anyone hostage and prevent Akira from using the full extent of her magical powers. There was a simple fix, the girl plucked her gun out and fired a small bullet straight up into the air. It was more for the bang than for anything else. It served its purpose. Granted, it created chaos, but at least it drove everyone away from the target and the Knight. 'Everybody, get back to your tents and rooms, we have a dangerous creature amidst us here, please keep yourself and your loved ones safe.' she said, trying her best to keep any quiver out of her voice. Her narrowed eyes rested on the girl.
Deep in the recesses of her mind, there was a latent sense of sympathy for the girl. Perhaps, she had not willed this for herself. Perhaps, she'd been turned and left to become a monster... But even Vampyres had the choice to be responsible. This was not a game, a life had been lost and on her watch too. One way or another, today was not the day Aki was handing out free second chances, not for murder.

This was exactly what she wanted, something to liven up the party. She could see now why her father was such a chaotic man, and she had wanted to fall into it more now that she knew what it felt like. Who knew if she was going to make it out of this though and if she did, she would definitely try a few different things out. Venus had come running up next to her, as it seemed he could sense what was about to happen. She had left him at one of the stands where she had won some food and given it to him, so he partly came back because he finished, and partly because he was prepared to fight with her. She stepped back another meter and had stuck her hands out in front of her, splitting her fingers into 3 differen't sections, her Wolvenhowl ring on one. She then put her hands together and changed into her wolf form and said, "Whatchu gonna do? I'm not going to make this easy, if killing me happens to be your intent." She said in a slick tone. She had a few tricks up her sleeve. She signaled for Venus to go around, and he ran into an alley, crunches and clanks being audible. She was sending him up to attack, and the knight would never see it coming. While she waited though she had walked back another 3 meters, now being distanced about 8 meters away. She had growled at the woman and got into a running stance, ready for what would happen next. | @Akira 316 / 200 WORDS Note: ??? |

Aki swiftly bought her hand down and aimed the barrel of her gun at girl. She couldn't tell if it was that gesture that caused a scarlet fox to come bounding towards the vampyre. It didn't matter, the mage wasn't just going to pull the trigger, simply because she didn't want to make it easy for the council members to find a reason to throw her out. Aki would go through the due process. So, the dark haired girl hoped that just the threat would be enough. The tiny brick-red creature had done nothing to warrant an injury yet, her eyes just darted between the girl and the fox, before she opened her mouth to speak, to address the vampyre. Aki let her know that she had no other choice except to arrest her and any resistance would allow the lunar mage to strike fatally. Â
The vamp actually stuck out her hands in front of the lunar mage. Did it actually work? Maybe she was just insane and was looking to be arrested? Aki made the mistake of holstering her gun, to let her hand snake towards the loop from which handcuffs hung, but before she could even take a step, the girl began transforming. Damn it. I really shouldn't have fallen for that. Now a silver-furred wolf stood where the vampyre had been and it spoke. The tone was sharp, to Aki it even sounded a little menacing. It also made her initial deduction feel more and more likely. She's mocking me!.
So, she was looking to start a fight. Killing someone, or something was not Aki's first resort, but so many things had happened that had set her on the edge. How incompetent did people thing the Knights were?! Â Unholstering her weapon would take too long, besides, she had read that vampyres, much like demons were not too fond of light... She couldn't use anything too flamboyant, there were still people around, so she just clicked her left hand. A soft glow emanated from her right hand, before the tiny light coin formed in it.
Was there something political underlying this, as well? Maybe the girl was part of Phantom Lord and was irked by what had happened and now wanted revenge? It wasn't as though Dante was forced to keep his word. Aki couldn't reliably assume she was being targeted, because she wasn't even necessarily meant to be here, it wouldn't be prudent to waste resources on the probability of Aki's night walks. Although granted that if anyone knew her well enough, they could almost guarantee she'd be out at night, but that wouldn't explain the precise location, unless this silver haired girl had been following her.
No. Stop... You're just being paranoid. Aki took a deep breath. The silver fur gleamed in the gentle moonlight. This was strange. Did this mean the other beast was possibly a person too? Almost on cue, the vulpix streaked off into an alley, in a blur of red, leaving disturbing sounds in its wake. Aki narrowed her eyes, her temper flaring now. So she had an accomplice to do the dirty work for her, while she kept Akira occupied. That creature could go on and continue harming people and there was nothing the Shimada could do, except hope that they were swift enough to get away. The silver wolf began taking a few steps back, Aki used the opportunity to toss her light coin towards her. She wasn't sure if it had enough power to kill, but maybe it would incapacitate enough for Aki to chase after the other one? The Shimada really hadn't expected to have to take on two people... where was Tsuru when she needed him! Great, just great. She was guarded, but her focus remained on the vampyre.

Rishi had been watching the Rune Knight closely. She was watching for any possible movement that the girl would make, and she was thinking about counter attacks for whatever would occur next. The noises from the alley had gone silent, and the two of them stood in the moonlight, keeping their eyes locked on each other. She wasn't sure what was going to happen, and as she took her eyes off the knight for a second to see where Venus had gone, she had been hit with some kind of spell. It had exploded around her and had made her a bit weaker, cutting her in a few different places. This spell had also seemed to be made of light, which wasn't exactly the best thing for her. It had done even more damage as she had hoped, and all that did was make her angry. She snarled at the knight and looked around for a moment, spotting someone who had been watching what had been going on, and that was who she was going to go for next. She sprinted over to the man and turned her head sideways, clamping onto the man's stomach and picking him up, holding him with her powerful jaws. She bit down even harder and shook him around, using him as a chew toy, slowly peeling the skin away from his body. She flung him off to the other side of the street, hitting his head and having half of his skin torn off, laying silently against the wall. She had laughed as she attempted to lick the blood away from her face, looking at the Rune Knight. This was the most fun that she's had in a long time, and she wanted it to continue for as long as possible. She bared her teeth at the girl, turning so that the right side of her body faced her. Her guild mark was the only part of her fur that wasn't grey, but light blue. it wasn't the most obvious mark, but it had been glistening in the moonlight. "What exactly do you plan to do?" she asked, a bit curious. She kind of wanted to know what was going on inside the girl's head at that moment, and as she finished her sentence, she had changed back to her human form, there being cuts on her legs, arms, and one across her face. | @Akira 400 / 200 WORDS Note: ??? |

Her breathing was heavy, her thoughts a little blurry as her eyes darted towards the final destination of the man-turned-chew-toy... At least he was still alive, missing a chunk of his skin though, it was likely that the torn garments were the only thing holding his insides together, he'd need a healer and he'd need one soon. Aki watched him slumped against the wall of one of the derelict ruins, he whimpered, then couldn't muster the strength for even that. 'Don't. Move.' she said through gritted teeth, her words aimed at the poor man, it wasn't like he could move anyways.
Cruel eyes snapped back onto the wolf girl, Aki was pretty certain with the way the boy had his blood sucked, that the girl was a vampyre, but she wanted more clarity, especially since her turning into a wolf was rather unexpected... The Shimada rubbed her hands together and traced the shape of an arc with her hand till a crossbow made of light materialized in front of her. She aimed it straight at the wolf, considering the cuts on her, the girl would be slow enough in her movements for Aki to shoot when the time was ripe. But she hesitated, as she noticed a certain section of the fur was not gleaming like the rest.
That tattoo... that shape. When it hit her that this girl was from Fairy Tail, things just got a bit more complicated. It was an ethical conundrum in Akira's mind, she knew she bore a resentment towards that guild if she was rash in her decision making... wouldn't it be safe to assume that she killed not just because of the vampyre's actions, but because of her own personal motivations? This was really not the time to be getting into this moral argument with herself, but she couldn't help it. Not to mention, killing a member of a guild like that, would bring a hell of a lot of more complications. There was a whole other internal debate about the true reason for her hesitation, whether it was the paperwork or her moral compass, but it'd be reserved for later.
'WHY?' she growled, her voice rumbling, like an uncharacteristic roar. Akira was almost trembling in frustration, she needed to buy a little time to calm herself and steady her aim anyways... 'You're part of Fairy Tail, why are you doing this?' she asked, her voice a little clearer than before, but still much deeper and angrier than her usual.

Rishi had only laughed at the girl's words. She was seriously questioning her reasoning for doing what she had been doing? This girl was hilarious. Did she really think- wait actually, she probably should give an honest answer. If she wanted to stick around for any longer, seeing as there was a light bow being aimed at her, then she would probably have to distract her for a bit. She could see Venus on a rooftop behind the girl, and he had been getting ready to jump down and onto the girl's head. He engulfed himself head to toe in flames without a sound and prepared to jump down. She needed to distract the girl somehow, so she figured she'd just tell her why she was doing it. "Well, I guess since you asked nicely, I'll give you a peek. You see, my dad is a very corrupted person. He caused wars between families, then slaughtered them all. I was there to watch it all, and it has been saved in the back of my mind. Part of him is in my DNA, this was bound to happen. I tried to hold it back, I really did, but I just couldn't handle the pain. I really didn't mean to cause such pain and suffering, I swear. It's just my nature." Of course, as she said it she had been inching her way over to the man who she had previously thrown against the wall while she was in wolf form. She had already done half of what she needed to do, so while the girl watched her she pulled out her katana, crouched down, and said to the man and said, "I'm sorry for the pain I have caused you, I do hope you can forgive me."
She wanted to make it seem like it was over and done, but really she was planning something much worse. She made sure that she was at a throwing distance so that she could carry out her plan. Of course, she was ready to dodge whatever attack was to come from the knight if she did try, but for now, she would have to focus on the things she would be throwing. She unfolded the man's skin, exposing some of his organs, such as his lungs, intestines, and spleen. The man had screamed in pain and had eventually gone silent, his eyes now cold and his body motionless, which was exactly what she needed. She turned around and faced the knight, saying, "Okay I know this looks bad, but before you do anything hear me out." This was going to be perfect, and she had kind of been hoping it would lighten the mood a bit. She ripped out one of his lungs and threw it at her, saying "Now let's just take a moment to breathe." It had ended up hitting her arm, and Rishi had laughed inside her head. She next plucked out the heart from the man and said, "Now I know I may seem heartless, but I have this, so I mean I'm not completely heartless. I'll give it to you, as a sign of appreciation." she threw the heart at her, and it had hit her in the chest area. "Alright I got two more," she said as she had started pulling out the large intestine. "Even though I may seem like a bad person, please don't make me out to be a party pooper. If anything I'd say you're ruining my fun, you big doo doo." she laughed as she said that and swung the large intestine at her, making a few mysterious liquids dispurse. "Alright, one more, one more." She had finally picked out his spleen, and saying, "Well actually I have nothing for this one, but hey, I wanted to throw one more thing." she said as she threw the last organ, it hitting her face. Her mouth had opened a bit as she had watched Venus jump down and land on her back, now burning away at her body. "Hahahahaha! Perfect Venus, good job!" she said as she watched it all happen.

That cold cruelty had to have messed this young lady up. Aki scowled, still keeping her magical weapon leveled at the teen, now that she'd turned back into her human form. Her aim was still not steady enough and... Well Aki had never killed anyone before, the implications were too great for her to be flippant about it. She swallowed, her eyes continued to pin the woman in front of her as she slid towards her target. Aki should have seen it coming, instead... Instead she was too caught up in wondering whether it was fair to fault the vampyre for who she was. It was like prey and predator, but there were ways of being responsible about it! There had to be! The lady was probably around Akira's age, the two teens stood there, on the precipice...
Alas, she could only wish she'd taken the shot when she had a chance. The shredded clothes did little to stop the woman. Aki could only stare wide-eyed as the gruesome sight unraveled. Shell-shocked the sixteen year old grimaced at the sight of the man's organs. She felt quite nauseous at the sight and just keeping her gaze fixed onto the red-eyed woman had become a rather difficult task to accomplish. Akira had to wince when the man screamed and gave up. He just couldn't hold onto those dregs of life anymore... That was two deaths. Two. All Akira had accomplished were some injuries, that hadn't even served to deter her.
Her hands shook, her aim even more unsteady. But when she went into the cavity of the dead man and plucked out his organs. Akira lurched, she was going to throw up, this was beyond anything she'd ever seen, or even imagined. What the absolute hell, have I gotten myself into? she thought as the woman finished her faux apology. This was clearly someone deranged, someone beyond the scope of aid... So Akira should just kill her right? If only her damn hands would comply. She needed to take this shot... And then...
Thwack! Just about the moment that Akira had been ready to shoot, a damn... lung? was flung straight at her. She was using this man's organs as ammunition?! This had just hit a whole new level of crazy. Aki's eyes widened, the blood lacing her left arm, that she'd automatically raised to protect herself. There is a moment, when things start feeling personal enough and morality goes out of the window. That moment had arrived. Â 'Yo-' but before she could throw the sling of curses, she was hit again. Thwick!. Things felt like they were in slow motion, as she looked at her chest, the heart that lay on the floor, the source that it had come from and then the person who flung it. Fairy Tail hired this piece of crap over me?! It was an odd thought, but for some reason, as her sense of doubt faded, it was the first thing that popped into her mind.
When the stench filled the air though, Akira had already figured out this game, she dodged the slick intestine that was flung at her, almost throwing up in the process as her senses were overwhelmed with all the unpleasantness. Aki dodged the last alleged organ too, dashing so she was back to her original position. Finally, what made her pull the trigger, was the heat she felt on her back and the claws that dug into her. It was mostly out of panic and almost accidental, that she pressed the trigger while her light crossbow was still aimed at the lady's abdomen. The arrow whizzed and embedded itself somewhere just under the vampyre's ribcage. Meanwhile, Aki shook violently owing to the sudden pain, to throw the vulpix off of her. So all that organ throwing was just so that the scarlet creature could injure her... Well played. Aki thought, sardonically. She whipped out her gun and shot the vulpix the moment it hit the ground... Then she stalked over to the vampyre.
'You're absolutely crazy... And I hope you die a very slow and painful death.' Aki said through gritted teeth, her eyes wide and a perhaps a little crazed as she stared down at her light arrow, wedged into the girl. The burns on her back hurt quite significantly, she'd need to find Tsuru as quickly as she could, but for the moment, the adrenaline kept her going. Akira wasn't just going to walk away, she was going to wait and watch as life left the Fairy Tail mage and if it didn't she'd do whatever it took to make sure that it did.

It was the end of the line. There was nothing she could do now, and a tear rolled down her face as she heard a gunshot and Venus whine. She had also been pierced with an arrow that had been made out of light magic, and it had weakened her incredibly fast. She only sighed and said, "Well, alright then *cough* you win. I congratulate you, I hadn't expected so much out of such a puny rune knight like you." She said it laughing a little bit as she coughed up a bit of blood. She had been holding the spot that the arrow had hit her, it stinging a lot. The world started to fade a bit, and as she used the last of her strength to sit up, seeing Venus limp away into the bush. She was glad he didn't die, and as she had laid her head back down on the cold ground, she looked up at the knight saying, "This shall follow you through your *cough cough* life. Never forget about it." and with those final words, she closed her eyes, the pain too much for her to handle. "I'll miss the world" were her last words, and she let the world fade away, her soul leaving her body with a smile. She had a good run, but now it was time to be put to rest, and she would accept that.

She turned just for an instant, to see as it limped away into the bushes, for the moment, for the sake of the greater good, Aki would simply have to let it go. She wished that the poor vulpix found shelter and aid soon. It was surprising how easy it was for her to bear no ill will towards the little fox, despite it being the one that burned Aki's back and some parts of the nape her neck. Could she not extend the same courtesy to races? How much of a slave to their desires were they, the vampyres and maybe even the lycans? But she did see Fenrir trying... Did Akira let her personal feelings get in the way? Did the Shimada take life when there may have been another alternative? Was it unfair to not give the girl a chance to recover, to slip out of the grip of insanity...
It was too late though, the lunar mage had already done the impulsive deed. The words the dying teen spoke lingered in her mind as the dregs of life left the pale body.
