Dex Miller: Dex got in an accident ten years ago and ever since believes he's a real detective. He will be seen around the city striking poses, as if he's a detective in a noir film, and doing typical noir film detective things like drinking whiskey in bars late at night and complaining about his cases that aren't real. Confronting him about these things will only worsen the condition.

Summary: Dex Miller has been coming up with a plan in order to sell himself to the people as a capable detective by staging a fake crime scene. He needs you to go through Orchidia as you gather the necessary items, namely animal blood and old weapons. Once you've acquired them, you'll be stopped by a Rune Knight who will demand that you alter the plan slightly for the overall greater good.

Enemies: None

Objective: Agree to assist Dex Miller in his plan to create a fake crime scene to build up his reputation. Acquire the necessary items to pull off the stunt and then reason with the Rune Knight that will inevitably catch you in the act.

Details:

Create a topic in Orchida Streets.
You will be approached by someone who has a letter that is addressed from Dex Miller, asking you to meet him.
Once you've arrived at the location, Dex will explain that he has come up with a brilliant idea for him to be taken seriously, one that he needs your help with completing.
He will task you with retrieving several items before anything else. The first one is a large bag of animal blood that can be found at the nearby butcher.
Because of the large size of the bag, be sure as to ensure that no blood spills out, lest it point a trail in your direction.
Once you've obtained the blood, you'll be tasked with going to a nearby forge and steal several weapons, the more wear and tear upon them the better.
As you leave from the forge with the weapons and blood bag in your possession, you're to return to nearby where you first met Dex Miller, in an otherwise empty alleyway.
Before you make it, you are going to be stopped by a Rune Knight who noticed you trying to sneak through the back alleys with the weapons in your possession.
He will give you the option to explain yourself, or go to jail for theft. You'll concede and explain to him Dex Miller's plan.
The Rune Knight will shake his head, deciding to allow you to continue along with it, but will make sure that the Magic Council oversees the "investigation" rather than Dex. Otherwise he may be motivated to create further instances of these fake crimes later.
With the Rune Knight accompanying you, you're to stage the scene, scattering the weapons and coating them in animal blood to make it look like a fight.
As a final measure, cast a spell or two in order to draw a commotion towards the alleyway. Don't cause any damage however.
As everyone starts to flood into the area, use that confusion as a means to escape and seek out Dex Miller who is watching with glee as the events unfold.
He will be delighted with the success you have made and will waste no time in paying you before he attempts to push his way through the crowds, coming out of sight as he tries to proceed towards the foreground.
