ManaAkuma didn't enjoy festivals so much. They were always so lively, and the people who gathered around with their cheery smiles seemed to always annoy him. He mostly stayed at home and drunk sake when festivals were in town. There was really no need to do anything else other than that.
However, today Akuma had decided to leave the home. He ran out of alcohol for that day, so he had to go out and get some more.
While he walked through the festival searching for a place that sold liquor, he saw something that drew his attention.
"Come one, come all people!" a man shouted in a microphone. He was on a stage and speaking to the crowd that was slowly gathering. "Be the one to challenge our raining champ in a grand pie eating contest!"
Behind the man was a table filled with stacks upon stacks of pies. A rather large fellow was sitting at the table with a knife in one hand and a fork in the other. Attached to the table was a sign that said the words "Pie Eating Contest."
"Hmmm..." Akuma sounded to himself. He normally wasn't the type to gorge himself on food, but he really did like himself some pie. Also, that man, despite how fat and hungry he seemed, looked rather weak. Akuma was sure that when it came to a challenge of pie eating dexterity, he would be the one to come out on top.
"I'll participate," Akuma said, stepping forward and raising his hand.
"Yes, yes! Come on good sir!" The boisterous vendor cheerful yelled. "We have our one challenger, now all we need is one more! Will anyone brave the difficulty of challenging these two titans?"
