Eryll was stretching his legs as he was walking around Orchidia. Winter was slowly creeping its way onto the town. The sky was constantly clouded, which likely meant that it was going to snow soon. As Eryll hated to admit, he hadn't really ever seen a real snow before. He had seen a little bit during his year in the Worth Woodsea. But he had lived in southern places most his life. Stella was about equal in latitude and Longitude of Fiore. There were no trees with leaves anymore, at least near the city. One could see the massive pine trees that were located in the forest outside of Orchidia. Eryll had just been there with his friend Kerii as a part of their test that had been dictated by their guild master, Shahbaraz. Eryll stoped for a moment and bought tea at a little stand. Taking a sip, It was an herbal tea with hibiscus added in. the lady had sweetened it with honey so it wasn't quite as tart. Eryll continued on down the street for a little while before a small, elderly woman could be seen pacing back and forth. She seemed very upset nad beside herself with angst. Walking over Eryll greeted her, "Is everything okay m'am?" he asked. The Petite elderly lady looked up, "Not at all? I have a massive problem and I'm too small to fix it." She complained. Eryll smiled, "I might be able to help, can you show me?" He asked. The Petite elderly lady sighed, "Thank you so much! You're probably one of those Lamia Scale Wizards. You're such a kind young man. Once again, thank you!" She said. She lead Pyre upstairs to her apartment, which was cluttered, filled to the brim with a multitude of things, not to mention the ludicrous amount of dirt that had somehow appeared in her appartment. "If you could clean this for me, I'd be forever greatful." The old lady said. Pyre gave a nod, "It'll be done, don't worry about it." He said. The old lady smiled and then exited the room. Eryll cracked his knuckles and began to work. Whatever had rampaged through her tiny apart had left stones, a ton of dirt, what looked like a small bush and a stump. Eryll first went for the tiny bush, whichm to his surprise, still had its roots. Eryll took it to the window and dropped it out the window into the trash can below. Next came the stump, which didn't fit out the lady's window. Eryll Picked it up and moved it slowly down the stairs. After that he tossed it in the trash can and moved back upstairs to continue working on the rest of the room. On his way back up to the room a person stopped him and asked if he was helping granny betty. Now knowing her name Eryll nodded yes and continued on his way back upstairs so he could work on getting the house cleaned. . |

Once back inside the apartment, Eryll returned his attention to the next thing in his list to dispatch, the rock. Grabbing the rock By both hands, Eryll hefted it up and over to the window. Leaning out ever so slightly, he let go. The rock plummeted quickly and landed with a crash in the dumpster below. The next step was to take care of the mounds of dirt in Granny Betty's apartment. Eryll briefly considered dumping it out the window like he had done with the rock and small bush. But logic told him that the dirt would get everywhere. Walking down the stairs, Eryll quickly went to the store and got some bags that he could fill with dirt. Once he returned to the appartment, Eryll started shoveling the massive piles of dirt into their bags. The dirt must have been 2 or 3 feet high because it took Eryll quite awhile to slowly shovel all the dirt into a bag, thenplace it by the door and move on. By the Time he had finished clearing poor Granny Betty's apartment of dirt, he had at least 17 bags and had spent four hours doing it. After he had finished that, Eryll moved the seventeen bags of dirt down the stairs and out behind the building. Instead of dumping it in the dumpster. Eryll decided it was best tht he would return the dirt to its natural habitiat, dragging it to the wood he opened each bag and dumped it out onto the ground. Eryll made sure it was spread out so any undergrowth wasn't unentionally killed in the process. Finished with his dirt chore, Eryll returned to the stairs to take care of the dirt that had been pushed into a carpet. Eryll check Granny Betty's Closet and found a lacrima device that would help clean the carpet. Eryll pulled the mean out and inspected it, flipping the switch it gargled for a moment before spitting wter and sucking it back up to catch al the dirt. Happily surprised Eryll ran this across the carpet a few times to catch the remained of the dirt. After the dirt was all safe in a small bag attatched to the carpet cleaning Lacrima, Eryll dropped it with the rest of the dirt. Eryll cracked his knuckles, he had successfully cleaned Granny Betty's apartment. A few minutes later, Granny Betty returned with cookies. She had apparently gone over to a freinds house while she let Eryll clean her apartment. Granny Betty was delighted and Gve Eryll some off her special cookies along with some jewels. Eryll thanked her for both and left, as he ate one of the cookies he felt a little tingly. Maybe her cookies were weirdly special. He shrugged and continued on his way home. He was tired after removing a bush, a stumb, a rock and seventeen bags of dry dirt, and one bag of wet dirt. Eryll felt like he had accomplished quite a lot today in the terms of helping others. |
