So tell the gun to sin Like an angel with the dirty wings Tainted by tastes of the soul This is another level Deep in | The lingering winter sun that hid behind the clouds slowly peeked at the chill air that hung in the air, breezing past and caressing all bystanders or by-passers. Mother nature was working hard yet again, providing the town with the chill beauty and the occasional snowfall. It had been a year, or perhaps more, since the woman returned here. She was too busy being devoured by her own feelings to have the time to find peace in travelling and returning to a place she was familiar with. It hadn't been long since she returned to Fiore and the capital was her first destination. There were many reasons for that. Due to her long absence it seems, the council had decided to demote her by a rank but that was fine with her. She was never someone who cared about ranks and did things her own way. Now that she was different from before, her capability of caring of things such as ranks dropped to the ground. She merely had to do things her own way regardless of the fact that she felt a little lost. She still hadn't decided what she wanted to do after the passing away of the elderly man who over the course of a year, became a mentor and father figure. The pink haired woman was never really one to care about people much and develop feelings but the man held a special place in her heart, perhaps because he brought her peace. She was used to being alone but now that he was gone, she felt more lonely. Shaking her head away from the thoughts, she took long strides along the granite footpath where bustling people walked. The city was just as she had remembered, as busy as ever. To find solace in familiarity and of course, her favorite, food, she walked towards a destination that somehow became her home. With a backpack slung over her arm and clad in a pair of blue jeans, plain white t-shirt covered with a black jacket and converse, she strolled over towards it. Her long hair was tied into a ponytail that swung from side to side as she walked. Upon seeing the familiar sing, she pushed the doors open, only to be hit with the warmth of the place and the delicious scent of food that no one could resist so as a lover of food, how could she? She immediately walked over to the counter to see a man that she had seen many times. Although, she hadn't expected him to remember her, he greeted her with a smile and said "Welcome back, Xandra." She couldn't help the small smile that formed on her face. She had been there enough times for him to know what she wanted to eat. After giving her bag to an errand boy who would keep it in her room, she simply sat in the corner, gulping down her food with some coffee and saw a distressed Batra. He then looked at her and asked her for a favor. |

So tell the gun to sin Like an angel with the dirty wings Tainted by tastes of the soul This is another level Deep in | He carefully told her about the issue at hand and asked for her help which she gladly offered. After all, the work was as simple as getting something in his stead and delivering it to him. After receiving information and instructions from Batra, the pink haired female set out in order to complete the task. As the day was setting, the got cooler. Her jacket was rather thin, not warm enough and yet, she didn't particularly feel cold. perhaps due to the fact that the last two winters spent on the outskirts of Bellum had strengthened her resistance to the cold. She wasn't shivering, rather she enjoyed it. She liked the way the wind felt against her skin, she liked the way her long hair flowed behind her and she liked the way her baggy clothes clung to her body after being pushed by the air. It felt as if she was walking past something that was trying to stop her, an obstacle and somehow, that made her feel accomplished. And strangely, it made her feel at peace. Constantly tiring out her body and remaining tense over various factors was not the only way to feel accomplished, to get over her insecurities and to fight. Sometimes, small, insignificant battles like these that hurt no one may also help acquire the same feeling. It is not always necessary to tire yourself out. Lost in thought, her long strides brought her to the destination. Before the setting sun, the ships stopped and unloaded the cargo that they carried. Breaking into a light jog, she whooped past the merchant ships that did not appear to have any edible items in it. After a couple of ships, stood a smaller one that was being unloaded by men who were led by a lady. It was easy to spot as she was the only lady that was seen around and from what she recalled, batra mentioned receiving the beverages from a female merchant. Xandra walked up to the woman who greeted her with the kindest smile. She was perhaps in her early to mid fifties. Her clothes were old and scruffy but her timeless beauty made them seem good, even great. Her brunette hair was tied into a low bun as she looked at the knight. Gently, she ordered her men to get Batra's crate for her and even went to the extent of offering the female help to carry these all the way back, which the pink haired woman politely declined as she took the crates if beverages from them and with a small goodbye, turned around and left. The crates were heavy but she easily managed to lift them up. After all, that was a perk of working out almost regularly. The walk back felt longer, mainly because she was lost in through this time but rather was trying to be careful enough to not drop the crates and the beverages within. Somehow, after what felt like forever, she returned and passed on the crates only to receive a reward in return. Batra was a man on big heart. |
