Sage †
Sage yawned as he woke up. He felt like laying back and cover himself inside the blanket from the rays of the sunlight that was peeping through the cracks on the room’s curtains. He then forced himself to wake up, he wanted to check on the culprit he caught yesterday. He walked over to the bathroom and brushed his teeth, he then washed his face and dried it with a towel. He checked through his clothes and wore his usual ones, a white cloak over his back with black attire to cover his body. He grabbed his sword as usual and saddled it on his back, sheathed in a saddle that attached it to his back. He grabbed the room’s keys from a table near the exit door and grab the door’s knob, pulled it and pushed it forward, stepping out of the room afterwards. He then used the keys to lock the door then he made his way to the lounge by walking down the stairs, placing the room’s keys in his pockets while he was walking. As he walked he set his gaze onto the lounge’s staff wondering whether she had a letter for him or not. But after awhile the staff noticed him but she didn’t say anything or do anything but simply did her work. This indicated to Sage that she didn’t have any letters for him. But Sage was okay with it as it was still early in the morning and Inspector Nillan was probably handling everything well and that was why he didn’t send a letter. Sage sighed at the overwhelming thoughts he had and pushed it aside as he walked outside and took a deep breath of fresh air.

He walked towards a shop next door and bought a few buns for a quick breakfast. He munched it down as he walk towards Inspector Nillan’s office. Once he reached there, he ranged the doorbell by pressing a tiny button next to the main entrance to Inspector Nillan’s office. There was then a few moments of waiting and then there was a buzz sound. The main entrance then slid open, revealing Inspector Nillan’s secretary. She didn’t look at Sage when he walked it but simply said while looking at her monitor, typing some stuff in. “Inspector Nillan is waiting for you inside,” she then looked at Sage with something behind her eyes that told Sage to be careful for what was about to come. “there is something you need to check.” she then shifted her gaze back onto the monitor and continued to type some stuff in, the sound of the keyboards smashed could be heard by Sage while she type. Sage wondered what could have happened, he doubted it would be something bad because then he would have received a letter and he did not get one. But the looks from her eyes told Sage otherwise, that something was wrong, something that even she and Inspector Nillan did not expect to have happened.

Sage †
Sage knocked on the door of Inspector Nillan’s office room. He knew where it was because he had been there before, the day where he had to kill off the corrupted farm animals of the towns people. Blood had gotten all over him that day and Inspector Nillan offered Sage to take a bath at his office and how could Sage not accept the offer after his clothes and sword were stained in blood. Now there he was again, checking on the captured suspect, wanting any updates on the current case. The suspect Sage caught was not of any help during the day Sage captured him, he did not answer any of his nor inspector NIllan’s questions. Inspector Nillan told Sage that he could go and rest while he stay there to interrogate the suspect more. A familiar voice was heard, “come in,” it said. And Sage turned the knob of the door and stepped into Inspector Nillan’s office. He saw Inspector Nillan looking at the ground, his hands were covering part of his face, the atmosphere of the room was gloomy, Sage could feel it and he wondered why. “What is wrong Inspector Nillan?” he asked as soon as he felt that something was terribly wrong. Inspector Nillan could not look at Sage in the eyes, he shifted his gaze to the side of the room. After a few silent moments he sighed and placed his hands on his lap, leaning his back on the chair. “The suspect killed himself.” and with that Sage could feel a sudden electricity running through his body. He was shocked that someone could do something as bad as that.

But because of the suspect’s action, it confirmed Sage that he was the suspect all along. He looked at the side of the room, he still could not believe someone would go to that extend. Then it hit Sage, the suspect must have hidden something and that was why he killed himself, so that the authorities would not have heard about it, or worse, stop it. Then Inspector Nillan spoke, removing the brief silence that washed the room before, “I want you to check his hideout, located in the outskirts of Orichidia, try finding anything suspicious that could give us a lead on the actions of the culprit.” he looked at Sage while speaking, his face was serious. It seemed like this case had gotten worse but they still have not found nay clues on the reason behind its happening. Sage gave Inspector Nillan a small, yet warm, smile, “Consider it done,” he said with a cheerful tone. He was trying to lift the mood a little, Inspector Nillan had faced so much that Sage did not want him to feel bad about something from job. Inspector Nillan then also smiled, it seemed that Sage still got it in him, to cheer others up and sweet talk them. He began to wonder whether it was his face or his words that does the trick.

Sage †
Sage then walked out of Inspector Nillan’s office, closing the door afterwards. He felt like crying, he didn’t know why. Maybe because it was his sensitive site being emotional by the death of the culprit. Maybe he still couldn’t believe that someone would kill himself just to hide something from being discovered. But then he hold back. He must not give it. He must investigate the culprit’s hideout and solve this case once and for all. He clenched his fist and walked out the building. He was refraining to give out any emotions. But as his face met the warm rays of the sun. He felt somewhat fresh and new again. He headed towards the outskirts of Orichidia. The place where Inspector Nillan told Sage where the culprit’s hideout would be. Sage wondered while he walked, of how Inspector Nilan could know the location of the culprit’s hieout. He then figured that it must have been through interrogation or reports from the towns people or the roaming rune knights. Anyway he should not worry about that matter that much. The only thing he had to focus at that moment was to search and hopefully find something that could give them a lead on the case. He had seen the effect of the potion and he would not want something like that to be spread all around Fiore, it would have been a total catastrophe is such thing happened. It would be Sage’s scariest nightmare. If people turned into something like the farm animals the other day, he did not know what he would have done. He oesnt like violence that much despite the fact that he loves to fight soem other poelpe,. But the gore act and violence really freaks him out. It was his weakness but he was trying to get over it day by day and he was improving.

When he reached the outskirts of Orichidia, it seemed quite for some rreason. He held onto his sword, just in case anything unwanted pops up. He walked between the trees, his legs brushed past the bushes and made a brushing sound. The forest was so quiet that he could hear the brushing accurately. He walked deeper and deeper into the forest, having some elven part in his veins, he could easily naviagte through the forest. He wondered what was th case if he was a full elf and how much faster would he be able to navigate through the forest? His mother had never told him about this though, he was raised in a human culture and he acts more like a human. Plus the only elf he knows was his mother. He had seen other elves but he didn’t know them like a friend or something like that. He was basically strangers to the elves due to his short ears. The humans however were more compassionate, even though some disgusted his pointed ears, some also found it cute and would approach him for that reason which was good.

Sage †
After awhile of searching for a sign of a house or something similar, he stumbled upon a house. It seemed like it was going to break down soon. But when he swung open the door, he guessed it would be quite comfotable for just one person. He entered the house with carefulness. He took his steps very carefully as he was afraid the boards of the house would break and he would fall to who knows where. Plus that was the culprit’s hideout place. It was quite obvious as Sage found dirty dishes at the kitchen sink and the leftovers did not seem quite old, about a day or two, where Sage had caught the culprit near where the house he was in. He rummaged through the stuff inside the house, searching for anything that could give him a lead on the case. The reasons why the culprit did what he had done and who else helped him. He went over from to rooms, he searched between the clothes, read the papers that were laying on the coffee table which seemed like they were nothing but just taxes and other mails that seemed to not have been responded in a while due to its huge pile. Sage sighed, it had been one hour and he still could not find anything. He had hoped something would happen, anything, a monster, a curse, a sudden explosion anything. He was bored to the core. He could not believe he still could not find anything despite his analyzing and searching skills.

When he was younger he would usually play games like corsswords or sudoku, those mind games really hit him and turned him into what he was then. After he grew older and discovered the library, a place where you could gain as much knowledge as you want, he started to learn math. He began slowly but the learned exponentially, solving problems after problems. He began to become fond of it he even started to apply it to real life. However, to his dismay he could not find any problem complicated enough to apply the full knowledge he had. Despite that, it had become a very useful skill when he started to take on requests. Some of them requires the mage to invesstiagte stuff and there is where Sage’s hidden ability shines. Another useful skll never hurts, although it might seem what other peiople may refer to as nerdy, Sage would not mind as he believe he have other things to worry about. He sighed and then jumped onto one of the couch. It was quite comfortable. He was tired by searching for hours he wanted to rest for just a few moment, then he would get back up and proceed with his search. He then looked outside, he couldnt believe how peacefrul it was in there, a house in the middle of a silent forest. It was very tranquil, something that he loves. Being far away from the chaos and noise of others.

Sage †
Suddenly, Sage could feel something. Amidst the tranquil moment he was having, he could feel that there were something that was not quite right. He could feel the slight movement of the air particles around him. He had read something about that before, a hidden chamber of some kind that creates a space of air pockets somewhere in the room and at times, depending on the temperture the air pockets will flow either in or out. Sage stood up from the couch quickly, his eyes were gazing at all the walls of the room where he was standing in. He then noticed a bookshelf. It might sound cliche but the reason it was so common for a chamber to be hidden behind a bookshelf is that a book shelf is big enough to cover the big entrance. Any other furniture would reveal the hidden enetrance right away, unless of course if the entrance is smaller. Sage walked towards the bookshelf and he grabbed both of its sides. For some reason, it felt light, as if the books on the bookshelf was made out of nothng. He then dragged the bookshelf sideways, and as he did, an entrance was starting to be seen, a grin formed on Sage’s face, he was quite happy that fnally he had found a clue, and with very high hopes he would want to see more of things that could give him and Inspector NIllan a lead on the quest. He was very escited he ran down the passageway.

After quite awhile, it started to get dark, and darker, and darker. But that was no problem to Sage, he simply chanted, “Patientia” and his body suddenly glowed faintly of yellow color. He activated one of his spell to increase his physical attributes but the side effect of it is that his body would glow. He didnt need the extra physical buff but he just needed the light that came along with the spell. As he walked further into the passageway, he could feel the area getting wider and wider, then he could see a light at the end of the tunnel. He smiled widely and hurrried to the lighted area. Before going into the light though, he peeked into it, making sure tht there was nobody there to interrupt with his search. He glanced from the left of the room to the right and he could not identify even a single soul, which meant he was alone. Which was good for him as he could take the case and search for clues faster. But deep inside him he had secretly wished he ahd to fight someone. He need to control his mood sometimes, fighting someone in a time and a place like this seemed like a huge waste of time but oh well, he was still in his final teenage years and he still got his youth. He would like to have some more fun than boring searched in a place where nothing happens at all.

Sage †
Sage looked around the small underground room, and it seemed like there was nothing in there. All he could see was a desk with paper works all over it. There were also some black robes piled over each other at the end of the room, Sage drew himself nearer to the robes. It had grab his attention. As he drew closer, he could see a weird sumbol on all of the robes. He was not sure what the symbol indicated nor had he veer seen a symbol lke it. But one thing for sure, his gut feeling told him that something bbad would happen, someting relaly really bad if he dont do anything about it. He then turned to the desk, he wanted to check the paperworks, as the room was hidden, the paperwork there must have been some sort of a weird contining information. He grabbed a paper that seemed like a paper and he started to read it. After he read through it his face turned a bit white. The culprit was in a cult and the leader of the cult sent him the letter stating that there would be a meeting a few days later in Era, Sage wondered what the meeting would be about and if it woud be a meeting at all. Plus Era is securely guarded but at the same time where most criminals are, as the prison was there.

Sage tried to think what this all means but he was getting nowhere. He tried to search for somehting else but it seemed like there was nothing else to discover. He swallowed his saliva and just deal with it and report back to Inspector Nillan. He then was grateful that he had at least ound something rather than nothnig at all. He walked up the passageway again and through the entrance behind the bookshelf, he closed the entrance with the bookshelf so that no one could know about it. He didnt want the people to freak out as they havent know the full story of it yet. He had to confirm it, he had to go to Era. He walked out of the house and ran towards inspector nillan’s office. He had to be quick, it had been a few days since the culprit receieved the letter form the cult’s leader and the meeting could be anytime soon. they had to warn the poelpe in era to have their guard up before anythng happens. He then arrived at inspector nillan’s office and caught his breath. He then told inspector nillan everything that he saw, formt he weird black robes with the wird symbol on eahc of them to the letter stting tht a cult leader would have a meeting with all the people in the cults in the era. Inspector nillan’s reaction wass quite similar to Sage as he isntantly wrote a letter for the guards in era. He then however thanked Sage and paid him for his excellent work. Sage then left worried.
