WORDS: 350 | Battle Charmer

“So rude…!” An uncommon sense of absent satisfaction seeming to sweep through Sofia Serena, not only were her cheeks found bulging outward in a somewhat comical display of her sulking but so too were her hands clapped upon her hips, and overall she had to say that her little trip toward the chilly north had taken something of a downturn.
Going off to play war hero with her new friends, when there's all these nice hot lodges and sauna's to explore together… The reason for such melancholy the simple setback that was her beloved bride seeming to have business which had separated their pairing, in all honesty the emerald eyed enchantress hadn't really paid all that much attention to the reasoning behind them heading to Iceberg since her mind had instantly been filled with the image of watching the snows fall and strange lights overhead from the toast comfort of a nice cabin, though the woman she loved had promised that they would indeed indulge in such habits and the wickedness which might come with them for the moment the mischievous minx was left with the ultimate affliction: boredom.

Well then, there's only one thing for it… A sunny spirited girl who loved the beach and the ocean and neither of these something which she could indulge for the moment, while the portals which were offered by her capable companion could take her anywhere and everywhere she wished to go it seemed a little uninspired for the girl with the green gaze to just beat a hasty retreat for the warmth and wetness of a sandy shoreline somewhere, and so instead she opted to indulge a more adventurous spirit.
“Time to find someone else to play with~!” With that in mind and a smile upon her face Sofia showing a renewed sense of vigour, she clapped her hands together as she decided that it was high time for her to expand her social circle a little way, and as such marched away with every intention of making some new friends. After all, it might be fun, and she just might find someone cute to bring 'home' with her, hm~?

Tōga wasn’t on Luluhawa Island anymore.

Nor was he in Era, Stella, or anywhere remotely warm, for that matter.

The skies had transformed as though by some ancient magic, trading the gentle caress of tropical breezes for the harsh bite of frigid winds. Snow fell in thick, swirling sheets, blanketing the horizon in icy white. The once-warm currents of air had been replaced by an unforgiving chill that sliced through the atmosphere like frozen blades. Even as he flew, the transition was unmistakable—the warmth had abandoned him miles back, and now the cold reigned supreme.

Brrrrr! It’s so cold!” Tōga shouted, his words vanishing into the howling wind. His pink hair whipped around his face, though he remained unseen, shrouded by dense clouds and the relentless snowfall. High above the world, he soared, his body hidden from any curious eyes below. His birdman’s cape carried him forward, its enchanted feathers doing their best to shield him from the biting chill. Still, even with the cape’s magic insulating him, the cold managed to sneak its way in, nipping at his exposed skin and sending shivers down his spine.

This wasn’t a place Strigr could thrive, so he’d left his dragon companion behind. The sea dragon would have struggled in such an unforgiving climate, and Tōga wasn’t about to subject her to that. No, this was a solo mission. His destination? Lumikki’s wintry dominion.

The journey had been arduous, draining his mana reserves as he powered the cape that allowed him to traverse half the globe. Flying this far wasn’t a casual feat, but it was worth it. Anything was better than enduring Lumikki’s sharp tongue if he dared skip out on visiting her. The demoness had crossed oceans and continents to meet him in his favorite haunts; to neglect her invitation would be courting disaster. Tōga could already hear her scathing remarks, her sly barbs that would haunt him for weeks.

No way am I giving her that kind of ammunition,” he muttered to himself, his resolve hardening.

As the snow-capped mountains loomed closer, he angled downward, his speed increasing. To any onlooker, he would have been nothing more than a fleeting blur—a bolt of lightning streaking through the storm. The winds howled in protest, but Tōga paid them no mind, diving toward the narrow valley below where a small village nestled in the shadow of the peaks. Smoke curled from chimneys, a promise of warmth and life amid the frozen wasteland. He landed with practiced ease, the impact of his descent muffled by the thick snow. Straightening, Tōga shook off the frost that clung to his winter gear—a patchwork of red, gray, and black designed to keep him warm while still allowing for movement. His birdman’s cape disappeared in a flicker of mana, tucked away until it was needed again.

The village was modest, its snow-covered rooftops barely visible against the surrounding white. Tōga’s breath puffed in the air as he walked, his boots crunching against the frozen ground. His eyes scanned the area, searching for a familiar sight: a tavern. If he knew Lumikki, she’d appreciate him showing up with a drink already in hand. Meeting her sober was an experience, but meeting her drunk? That was a whole different kind of adventure.
