The door to the apartment to which she had been directed opening and a slightly groggy and largely stunned young man finding himself before Sofia Serena, as he stumbled over his words and blushed at her from the doorway, the visitor couldn’t help but feel a little charmed by the reception she received. Enjoying the way that her appearance seemed to make him fawn and feeling her ego boosted because of it, the words that were missing from what he had to say were crystal clear and quite flattering to the girl, but there was one thing that wasn’t as pleasurable. A smell that seemed to have been brought straight from the basement of a busy bar and blasted into her face greeting the girl alongside him, as she let that potent aroma wash over her and tried not grimace, the young woman had to think that despite this mixed bag of an introduction she was looking forwards to her day on the whole.
“Thank you so much, Mr Mitya, yes?” The smile she offered feeling a little less forced as the crisp winter air seemed to steal away the worst of the stench from around Sofia and provide her with a little freshness, while the coolest season of the year was far from her favourite right now the azure angel couldn’t help but feel a little glad for it, and even a little bit reluctant to step out of the chill and into the apartment from which the stench had crept. However, needs must, she supposed.
The young man at her front stepping out of the frame and eying her with a mix of curiosity and expectation, though she was perhaps a little hesitant to be cooped up in a place with a person who had clearly spent all of last night and then some drinking, after a deep breath the blue beauty gathered her nerve and stepped inside her ‘workplace’ for the day. Keeping busy with little jobs to earn money for treats and travel expenses as she moved around, whilst some mages might have found the notion of what was babysitting from the other end of the age spectrum tedious and a waste of their talents, the blue haired young woman had found herself jumping on this little request for more than one reason.
“It’s sweet of you to want to keep her company… Are you unable to do that yourself?” Making a little small talk as she moved inside the house and heard the door close behind her, Miss Serena glanced around her environment and found, perhaps as she had expected, it was filled with love. The stench of a heavy night out seeming to cling to her client and the rest of the house seeming to have the aroma that seemed like fresh baking, as the young caretaker glanced at faded photograph’s on the wall she couldn’t help but smile and feel just a little bit at home, this small but charming little apartment appearing to emanate a feeling of love that had been added through years of affection and care.
