Yesterday Vali finally became a member of the Fairy Tail guild. Honestly he felt a little different. It was weird to think that he was actually a part of something in Fiore, something bigger than just being in this town. As of yesterday, Vali Onfroy and his people back in Worth Woodsea were allies. The people in this guild would have no idea that they had allies in an entirely different country because now Skaal were allies as well. Today the viking intended on becoming more familiar with this place. It was very lively and bright. Everyone seemed to be decent people despite staring occasionally. He understood why their eyes followed him; he was tall, muscular and he walked with confidence. With his men trailing behind him with their leather armors and cloaks people couldn't help but wonder who he was. "Hey." Vali stopped in his tracks, turning to face them. "Later today you're going back to Worth Woodsea. Tell Bunda that I'm fine and that I joined Fairy Tail but tell nobody else." The men nodded and Vali turned to walk through the town. Sending them back was for the best. He didn't want people to feel threatened by him and for now he wanted to keep a low profile. Walking around with guards may give the wrong idea to some. For now though, they were minding their business and just enjoying the stroll. The sun in particular was in a good mood. The clouds around it were fluffy and as white as fresh cotton. In the distance the group of vikings could hear music. It wasn't what they were used to but it didn't sound so bad. A few moments later and now The newly inducted Fairy Tail mage could see that people were decorating the streets as if there was going to be a celebration of some sorts. As Soon as the viking and his men appeared the people began to raise their heads to watch them. Suddenly the Icebergans stopped in their tracks. After a few moments of silence, a blonde headed man made his way through the small crowd of people and approached Vali. "uhh, hello, I've never seen you around here before." The viking raised an eyebrow. The first thing he noticed was the man's circlet and usually circlets were signs of nobility. "Hello. I'm not from around here I'm actually from...Iceberg." He said with an awkward smile. People didn't know much about Iceberg so he hoped not to be thought of as the stranger from a murderous country. The old man leaned to look behind Vali. 5 big ass vikings stood there smiling awkwardly not having a clue on what to say or do. The old man stood straight to speak again. "Welcome to Magnolia, I am Lord Medias Syrases. I'm just curious..." He began. Here it goes... "Why are you so tall, son?" The man chuckled holding his stomach as if he just made the funniest joke in the world. Truth was, it wasn't funny but the more Vali watched him laugh the more he himself wanted to laugh. "My mother was a giant woman." He laughed. "I am Vali Onfroy. Where I'm from I am a lord as well. Oh and now I am a member of the Fairy Tail guild." Medias' eyes widened and a smile stretched across his lips. "Fairy Tail is the soul of Magnolia so that means you re now too." He began with a nod. "Thank you, Lord Medias." "Since you're here, how about you help us with the festival. We just need to finish decorating the street, I'll pay you a handsome sum for your work." Vali shrugged and looked at his men. They shrugged as well. Shit, might as well since none of them had nothing else to do. Just when Vali was about to accept he remembered something. "Well there is something else that I could use instead..." he began as Medias raised a brow. "My men...they need to travel quickly but we don't have the horses for it, so-" "How about money...AND horses?!" Vali's eyes widened. "Done!" 685 | 2,000 |
Decorative Party [Q]

The townsfolk seemed to be extremely passionate about the festivities that were going to take place soon. Vali himself had no interest in it. The only reason he was helping was to get his men home and to make a little change. The Lord of Magnolia showed them everything that was happening. He showed them where the food stands would be, where the games would be and where he wanted all the decorations to go. It was a good thing that Vali was tall too because a lot of things Medias wanted on the walls. When Medias was done he gave them a set of decorations and when about his business. The old man himself was helping in another area. If the elf could have chosen where to help he'd have picked cooking. Not many people know this, but Vali was an excellent cook- not that there were many things to make in Iceberg considering the circumstances but still. "Alright, let's get to work. After this is done I'll be sending you all on your way." The men nodded and began doing their part. The young viking Lord first went to a building and began hanging these paper thingies that read M-A-G-N-O-L-I-A in big bright orange colors. It didn't take long since all he had to do was use some tape and attach one half then do the same to the other side. When he was done with that he turned to pick up party streamers, throwing them everywhere for a more majestic effect. Honestly he didn't see the point in decoration it wasn't like people were actually going to pay attention to it? Celebration was about food, music, ale and hardcore fucking- at least for him. Vali just couldn't understand how a place could be so peaceful. Each time he went to hang a decoration on the wall or something he had to gaze upon the citizens all happy and whatnot. In the middle of a war with demons or something like that, these people here were just chilling. Whatever, that wasn't Vali's problem. The vikings continued to work and they worked hard, especially harder than the citizens. They moved efficiently and quickly as if decorating the town would determine the rest of their lives. After Vali himself was done putting up all the wall decorations he decided to move on to help the townsfolk blow balloons. Kids seemed to flock to him for some reason, deciding that out of everyone here interacting with the seven foot man would be most interesting. "You're huuuuggee dudeee." One kid said. He had glasses and freckles. He looked like he was around nine and his buddies looked the same age too."Well my parents were Giants, haha." The kids turned to each other in awe. "Giants? Like...real giants!?" Vali nodded. "They like to eat innocent little children." he paused leaning in closer towards them. "It is told that talking to the child of giants means that they will be eaten too." What a stupid little joke right? The kids sure believed it because only a second later they were off running. 1,203 | 2,000 |

Vali chuckled to himself as the kids vanished with the breezes. The sun was bright and the clouds were fluffy. It was almost as if some sort of magic was making this place appear to be a safe haven that it actually wasn't- not with demons on the loose at least. Vali himself fell into a daze for a moment but was brought back to his senses not too long after. He began to grab more decorations. At this point he was bored. He couldn't complain though. After all of this was done he'd have horses and money both things he needed. The young lord looked over at his men who seemed to be doing pretty well. "Aye. We're almost done boys." he reminded them as if they cared. Vali turned to focus on his own task, placing the tables along the streets for various stands. The food was finally prepared and the people began to set them down. Things like fried Vulcan and dragonfruit could be seen. The various smells merging created a mouthwatering scent. Before he was done here he would definitely treat himself to something. Lord Medias was advising everyone, working hard so that the town would be as vibrant and as beautiful as he intended to have it. All in all the old man seemed to be a pretty good person. First encounters meant that one could only assume so much about a person. Vali was a good judge of character though. The tables were finally all placed along the street. It didn't take long for the Desiertan to finish that task. "Young Lord! Ya mind helping me with something?!" Medias called out. The Icebergan lord was slightly caught off guard by his given nickname.A Admittedly it had a nice ring to it so he didn't mind too much. it was satisfying to know that even in another country another lord recognized his status as a Lord. "Yes of course." he responded before stopping what he was doing to tend to Medias. The old man asked if he could hang a banner from one building to the next. Of course Vali didn't decline. He took the banner that read "Welcome to Magnolia's Spring Festival". Quickly Vali moved to the building that Medias had instructed, and began climbing from window to window, brick by brick until finally he reached the roof. With the tape in his hand he sealed the end of the bannering onto the roof. Vali wasn't used to being somewhere so warm. Just moving around even a little bit made him hot. By now he was sweating and in a few minutes he'd feel disgusting. Luckily the inn he was staying in was pretty damn gorgeous. It had a hot tub, a shower and even a balcony for him to view the entire town. During the day though it wasn't as beautiful as the town during the night. People swarmed the streets in the day. Workers, mages of all kind. If he didn't know any better he'd say that Fiore was probably overpopulated. On Iceberg there always seemed to be so much space. So much nature and animals despite most being brutalized by the wind. If Magnolia was this lively he could only imagine how the capital of Fiore looked. One day soon the young Viking would have to make his way over the the capital of this country. Perhaps he could someone meet with the king being that he was a noble himself. Vali was only one of many lords on Iceberg though. Maybe if he was the king of vikings the king of Fiore would see him as an equal but currently it would be futile to try to approach such a man. One day... He used a shitlod of tape to ensure that it would stick throughout the day. Then he leapt from the roof to the roof of the other building, impressing many of the citizens watching him. When he landed he did the same thing he did before. He used a bunch of tape to seal the banner then climbed down when it was done. Medias smiled with a nod thanking him before looking around at the nearly finished product. He was happy with the results. Finally he told Vali and his men that they were all done and their help was much appreciated. First he paid the leader of the vikings a decent wage. Then he fished out a piece of paper from his pocket before writing a statement, signing his name at the bottom and sealing it with a stamp. This paper was to be brought to the stables and shown to the owner so that Vali could obtain exactly 5 horses for all five of his men to go back to worth woods with Vali's message. The town truly did look beautiful now that it was done. At last Vali could leave. 2,000 | 2,000 - EXIT - |
