“Hold it firmly for about ten to fifteen minutes at a time, and repeat the cycle five times a day at most. You should be fine after that” the nurse had stated as she showed Ace what he had to do. “Any more questions before you head off for a good rest?” she asked before letting the boy off. Just as he was about to answer her, he’d overhear the second nurse in a panic, “No, no, they’ve been here for a week now and it keeps on intensifying… Father Jerad already said he knows how to help, we’re sending him off to the church as per his request… We just need an escort…” She walked away slowly as her voice started to fade lower and lower. The first nurse assumed Ace had nothing to say and finished off saying “Alright then, have a good day young man.” Ace then spoke up, “Actually, I could escort the group of patients. The inn I’m staying in at the moment is very close to Father Jerad’s church.” The nurse smiled warmly after a brief second of thinking, “We’d need someone from the Rune Knights to act as an escort.” Ace, with the knot in his brow as usual took out his Rune Knights’ Pendant and proved his identity to the nurse with the glowing royal blue relic that matched his tattoo on his left ear lobe. “I’d be up for it.” He emphasized once again and this time really got the nurse thinking. “I’ll be right back.” She said as she dashed back to talk to her other nurse about the offer the young mage has proposed to her.
A few seconds later, the two nurses came rushing back in gratitude to the young mage for his offer. “Are you sure you know which church it is?” The second nurse asked in confirmation. Ace nodded and reassured the lady once more by flashing his pendant. She rushed back in to get the patients and some paperwork for Ace to sign in confirmation of his escort role, and then contacted father Jerad to relay the information to him.
A group of patients were then introduced to Ace and were told of the young Rune Knight’s identity and where he was taking them. The hospital reassured the patients that father Jerad was to be trusted and that he has seen cases like theirs previously and that he was well aware of how to treat it. Ace nodded at the nurses whom had accepted his offer and was already on his way to the church.
