Kaz was still reeling from what had happened. Trying to find something, anything to take his mind off of it all. He wandered the streets in search of the usual things he enjoyed but nothing caught his eye.

The walk itself was calming though and he suddenly found himself able to breath a little easier. Had just jumped off his griffon from a tense moment in the cliffs and the spirit inside him was churning.

He was stricken by an intense need to eat and stopped at the nearest stand to load up on dumplings. Food in hand he marched through town looking for a place to set up shop.

There was a commotion next to him. He had come closer to one of the towns squares. He shook his head and popped a dumpling in his mouth, suddenly realizing that this place was a major tourist attraction. he had never been here, and his work kept him from hearing many rumors. Perhaps a nice tour was just what he needed. But it had to be his way.

He leaped up to the top of a building and dashed through the air over alleyways from rooftop to rooftop. Still his preferred way to travel. There was nothing like feeling the rush of wind on his face. He could almost see the sea from there.

The dumpling bag was held tight as not to drop it. His feet landed on a building next to the square which was alive and bustling. As his feet touched the landing it slipped, as his attention was taken by the music below.

The bag slipped from his hands and started falling towards the ground. He reached out for but stopped and laughed as he watched it almost in slow motion fall. "Some things never change," he muttered as the bag kept falling, thinking about all the times he had clumsily done things in the past. At the last moment he used his wind to stop the bag but knocked around a stack of goods and papers from a vendor.

The man charged out yelling. As Kaz shot the dumplings up towards him. Normally he'd apologize and even offer to help, but this day it just wasn't in him. Instead he ducked away and jumped into the alley.

He leaned against the wall, "I should really help that guy out," Around him were suddenly a world of options. Music from the square, a performance and the man he wronged in front of him. To his left was almost inaudible music coming from behind a door that looked too sturdy to be in this ally. It was iron with a bar across it. Seemed like you had to knock for entry.

To his left a building he couldn't make out. The sign was missing to many letters. Although the door was a bit rustic, but there was silence behind it save for the trickle of water.

Then again there was the sea and returning upward to over look the city.

Kaz decided to walk out into the square. The man was still angry and he quickly stopped by and undid the mess he had caused. With a nod they both turned to face the dancing crowd. However, there was an unusual women dancing in the middle of the crowd. Her attire and demeanor stood out from the rest. But then again so did he. The wind mage wasn't sure if he would go dancing. Despite his love of music he had actually not danced since leaving his clan. The merchant he just helped put an arm around his neck, causing Kaz to initially frown and take a deep breath but the man's jubilant smile was hard to say no to.

The merchant pulled him into the crowd and right towards the center. It was more open there as only a few people danced in the middle while the others crowded around. Some just watching and others moving along to the beat. Music filled the air and voices rang out in all manner of tones but it blended into some sort of harmony wrapped in merry chaos. It reminded him of home. Home before it was torn asunder. When they would play music in circles and dance. A celebration of training or a good hunt. Then of course most times just fill the void of boredom when things were at peace around them.

Kaz attempted to step back but the merchant caught him off guard and with a push sent him into the center almost bumping into the mint haired woman. "Oh, pardon me, I was just leaving," He said straightening up his uniform. If there was one thing he didn't want to do right now it was dance in a joyous circle. he preferred to just listen from afar.
