Ugh, Shimura would have preferred to be raiding a dungeon with that cute knight rather than standing out on the streets and searching for his bloody family’s crest. Raiding a dungeon sounded much more glorious than being a stupid errand boy and searching for a dumb crest. One of these days, Shimura was going to climb the ranks of the knights and become a commander or captain or something himself. Shimura glanced at the drawing that was given to him, it was a beautiful picture of two swans entangled together at the necks, it certainly wasn’t the most intimidating of crest. Annoyed at this task, Shimura asked around for the crest like some common hobo asking for money. After about two or three people, Shimura asked a rather big man with a brown beard about the family crest. The man mentioned something about seeing the crest in the hands of a criminal who was trying to sell it.
Great, now he was going to have to track down this Gaud person and convince him to give back the family crest. He found the man at the local inn where he was drinking beer and chatting with some friends, Shimura sighed loudly to himself and kind of hoped that the man would give him trouble. Shimura had been dying to get into a good fight and prove to the other knights that he had decent combat skills. He approached the man and tapped him on the shoulder. “Excuse me Sir.”
Gaud turned to him a little confused. “Yes, how can I help ye?” he questioned and sure enough the crest was used as a broach to keep his cloak on. Shimura cocked an eyebrow at the crest and gestured to it, “That belongs to Joachi Messer, a seated member of the Rune-knights. That is his family crest and he’d like it back.” Shimura crossed his arms as he spoke. The man seemed to have been a little shocked and worried that he’ll be arrested, he quickly took off the crest and handed it to him. “Ah I bought it from some guy, I didn’t know that it belonged to the Messers, I don’t want any trouble with the rune-knights.”
Shimura took the crest and placed it in his pocket. “Good, I’m glad that we were able to have an understanding, thank you sir.” With that Shimura left the inn and made his way to the guard that he was ordered to give the crest to. After giving it to the guard Shimura made his way back to the barracks for training, and to take a good nap.
