Ylva stirred from beneath the heavy blankets that protected her body from the morning cold. She had left the window open last night after taking the potion that would “ change her from the outside “. The potion made her unbearably hot and her body aches in such a painful way that any sleep she did get throughout the night was a waste. The harsh sunlight came in as a glow, filling the room she rented out for a few nights with warm light. Ylva’s body would slowly disturb the blankets around her as she shimmied her way from under them. She could already feel something was different from her body. It was like it wasn’t even her own body she was in. She felt slightly taller maybe a few inches more. As she stood up from the bed a shock of golden silk fell from her shoulders all the way down to her knees, instinctively her hands touched the hair and she ran to the bathroom to see just what had happened to her. Ylva could feel herself shaking ever so slightly as her hands moved from her hair to the rest of her body. Her short blue hair was no so very long and so very blond. Her doe-like crystal blue eyes were a shimmering mix of purple and blue now and they looked less innocent and more, well different. She didn’t even want to think about her body and those changes but she realized that she wouldn’t even be able to fit into the clothes she had. She never thought she would change so drastically but she wasn’t mad at how she looked, she was gorgeous in fact. Frowning only slightly Ylva didn’t have time to inspect every inch of herself. Quickly she took a shower, trying not to linger on in one spot for too long.

Ylva didn’t have many clothes and as she thought what she did have was too small, only barely holding what she had in. She was thankful that she purchased a cloak, as it was the only thing that could hide it all. Although the morning was quite a surprise got along just fine once she got moving around. She ended up in front of Lady Merlin who was the king’s personal advisor and a very *ahem* well equipped sorceress. Lady Merlin was very busy like most of those who were in the service of the King. And due to being so busy she was stretched quite thin on her own duties, having to resort to using the mages to help her in her task. Today she would need help with a simple item delivery. A task that anyone could do but Lady Merlin would not allow just anyone to do of course. She didn’t need some idiot screwing this up and she would only allow those with more than enough brains in their head to take this on. Ylva of course happened to fit that description and with the lure of being paid handsomely for such a task she was right happy to complete it. Meeting with Lady Merlin she was given details about what exactly she would be doing. Lady Merlin explained that a package was arriving for her but the caravan that was delivering it wasn’t known to be careful enough for her taste with things they did deliver. It was out of her hands on who would be delivering but that’s where Ylva would come in. Lady Merlin went onto explain that Ylva was to simple meet the caravan at the gates of the city and guide them to her in a safe and timely manner. Once her orders were given Ylva quickly left for the city gates, purchasing some breakfast along the way.

She was fast enough to make it to make it right as the caravan was coming up towards the gates where she would stop them and explain why she was there. At first, there were no complaints but as they reached the main streets she informed them that they would in fact be taking the outer roads. Although it took longer it also had far fewer people making it the safest route of the two. The employees of the caravan began to complain, stating the freshness of the product would be at stake. Ylva did not care for any of that she had a job to do and told them as such. They complaining would continue but eventually, they would stop. For the most part, this task was going off without a hitch but Ylva realized she was being too optimistic as the group would be stopped by some construction. Ylva was told that the road ahead was damaged and that they could not pass. This caused groans from the caravan but Ylva just directed them to the alleyways which resulted in quite a lot of turns being taken until a voice caused her to stop the whole group. In the distance, she could hear a voice yelling. It said it was a rune knight and it sounded like it was telling someone to stop. Ylva didn’t need that sort of problem coming her way so she would continue to direct the caravan farther away from the voice until she couldn’t hear it anymore. In doing this she caused a great deal of employees to become fed up. She once again explained that she had a job to do as did they. The caravan employees did not care at all about what Ylva was saying and flat out refused to continue on with her, stating something about having other work to do.

Ylva was annoyed and wondered what they would do with the item. She couldn’t very well have them take it back to wherever it came from. A part of her wanted to grab her spear and explain to them that she was one of the heroes who collected the nine relics, and that if she could do that she could certainly make them finish their job. A lot of scenarios ran through her mind but none of them seemed morally correct. A sigh would slip from her lips as she herself became quite annoyed with how the situation turned out. She could not leave the item with these people and as she thought this, she could hear someone running towards them with the same rune knight voice calling someone to stop. Without missing a beat Ylva asked for the item in question and explained she would take it back. The employees of the caravan quickly got the item, it was a small glass orb. They gave it to Ylva and began to go on there way. Ylva called out that they would lose a lot of business over this but she figured if they were willing to do this that they didn’t care at all. Placing the orb safely inside the pocket of her cloak she quickly began to make her way out of the alleyways. She had been in crocus a bit to know where she was going and she was close enough to her destination that she felt she wouldn’t even have a problem getting this to Lady Merlin safely. Ylva found herself hungry again and it was probably something to do with this new body she was in. The spear on her back would probably be the only constant in her life moving forward and that was if she managed to keep it in her possession.

She knew she needed to grow in strength and that meant doing her due diligence in helping those who asked for it, training some new spells, and figuring out how this spear could work in her favor. She didn’t know what it would take to unlock the spear’s potential but she would certainly find out and hopefully she could find the others with their own relic and ask for some help. It took Ylva nearly no time at all to finally make it to Lady Merlin who was waiting eagerly for the return of the caravan. Ylva could see Lady Merlin’s face go from excited to concerned as she asked what happened to the caravan. Ylva explained that the Caravan did not want to extend their services any longer, even if it was to keep the item safe. Lady Merlin looked angry and she expressed disappointment and whispered something about punishment under her breath. Ylva pretended she didn’t hear that last part and Lady Merlin asked about her item. Ylva quickly but carefully retrieve the item from the inside of her cloak, returning it safely to Lady Merlin as requested. Ylva could see the joy spark back into Lady Merlin’s eyes as she thanked the mage and expressing gratitude for her services. Ylva would accept the thanks and would also accept the payment Lady Merlin would give Ylva along with the payment that was meant for the caravan. Ylva was surprised but she did not complain as she thanked the woman and quickly made her way back to the board that provided the town with all it’s quests. She would be spending the rest of her day helping all she could and getting paid while doing so. The job might have been frustrating but it was easy work, and Ylva liked easy work nowadays
