Well, that was a bit of a surprise to hear from himself, as usually he would just go at anything head first without think of the consequences or worrying about them later. Still, he was already a bit nervous, but he steeled himself and walked into the second forest arena. He wanted to reach the point where he was the day before as soon as possible, so he started walking at a brisk pace, but suddenly he stopped and realized something. The forest seemed entirely different from the day before, as he had memorized it's layout previously so that he could be better prepared the next day, even though it wouldn't truly help, he took a bit of comfort in the fact that he knew how to get to the center and back. The forest somehow rearranged itself overnight, and he was really confused by it. Root systems usually took years to ingrain themselves in an area, and moving them without any traces of mana was difficult, if not impossible, unless of course someone of the same power as an exis was involved and changed the layout of the forest every day, but he thought that was highly unlikely. He then remembered that an illusion like effect was skewing his senses, so it was highly likely that the forest was unchanged from yesterday, but it was simply changing what he perceived and was controlling where he moved throughout itself to protect itself. He wondered why it needed that level of defense mechanism, and then he remembered the fruit, and wondered if the fruit held some sort of magical property that he wasn't aware of. This meant that he mind went to a place that he thought for sure it should not have, and that was that he was seriously thinking about eating one of those fruit.

He simply could not make himself vomit by using the fingers down the throat method, as apparently the fruit didn't want that, so he punched himself repeatedly in the stomach, again, nothing but dry heaving and no effect. Shichiro got desperate, and managed to stave off the pain for a little while, enough to get a stick. He sharpened the stick, and made sure to think clearly before shoving the stick down his throat. From his training, he knew that the esophagus he had was about one foot in length leading to the stomach opening, and then he had to move the stick about an inch away from himself so that he didn't puncture the lining of his stomach. Pain and dry heaving, along with the inability to breathe from the stick, made this one of the most painful ordeals he had ever experienced, although it probably wouldn't be the worst in his life. He scraped around his stomach, probably causing a bit of internal bleeding, and found the core of the fruit, still mostly intact, and skewered it. He lifted it slowly up and out of his through, before throwing it on the ground. Once it was out of his throat, the rest of the contents of his stomach were free to exit, as the fruit had a special property which prevented vomiting, and soon the forest floor there was covered in bile, ham and cheese, and a bit of blood. The pulp of the fruit was completely gone, however, as the fruit was fast dissolving mush in his stomach. He took a few deep breaths, figuring out he was safe for now, as the pain also started to subside, and was replaced with the dull burning pain of a few small cuts inside of his stomach. He picked himself up off the floor, and made his way back to the break room, a tiny bit of blood on the corner of his mouth, and the stench of vomit on his shirt.

After successfully making it to the breakroom, Shichiro had collapsed and fell on the ground, motionless for a bit. When he had awoken, he was lying on a table and a couple of medical mages were using some or of rejuvenation spell on his stomach, and on the rest of him, since it seems that he thrashed around and hit some thorns and vines, and perhaps some poison ivy leaves when he was trying to punch himself and make himself vomit up the pit or core of that fruit. They looked him over and after a bit of healing they said he was fine, and that it didn't cost him that much because of his affiliation of being the ally of Grimoire Heart. They wanted him to stay overnight for observation, and was thinking, and he looked forward to seeing Shichiro run through the remainder of the harsh training gauntlet. The mage then went on to say that for the next few days, he had to come and check in so that he could monitor his body and levels extensively, as the fruit was indeed fickle, and he just wanted to make sure everything was doing well. It was very strange, as he left the break room, he felt a combination of being really hungry, but at the same time, his entire body felt like what his stomach felt like when he was stuffed with food, after something like a large meal around the holidays. He thought that was simply a side effect of the fruit and brushed it off, making sure to pull out his notepad and make a note of it so that he could tell the mage the next day. He didn't feel any soreness or pain when it came to his body, so he ordered some miso ramen that wasn't anywhere on the spicy scale that this particular cafeteria was famous for, and some of the other male patrons goaded him, asking him if he was a man, and if he was that he should ask for some spicy ramen instead of the weakly flavored one.

Shichiro responded with the news that he was newly released from the hospital for some stomach cuts as well as a threat to see what would happen if a human was used as a catalyst for lightning, and so they apologized and wished him a swift recovery. Just a few hundred years ago, this place was known for violence and bloodshed, and now the adults of the village were acting like old friending of checking the contents of his stomach just in case, and to that, Shichiro requested an advanced healing mage, simply because he didn’t any other inexperienced dumbass screwing up his insides. The current mages reluctantly agreed, although they seemed a bit insulted, as if Shichiro said that they weren't good enough to do something as simple as a stomach content check, and Shichiro made sure to thank them properly and tell them it really wasn't about their perceived skill, and he didn’t really care if they were and weren't upset with him, and if they were, that they would get over it eventually or he’d make them. Soon, an advanced support mage came into the room, and asked why he had requested him for such a simple task. Shichiro told him that he was in the forest, and at that mention, the mage closed the door behind him so that no one else could hear him. Shichiro looked weird, because he was in a medical garb that didn't seem to fit him, as it was a bit too short. He was just in the bad height range that he was too short for a longer one, so they gave him one that was meant for a much younger child. Shichiro got a bit upset and irritated about that, as he hated being so stout, he wanted to be manly.

The mage asked him if he had eaten the fruit, and he responded with a yes, and the doctor immediately casted some super advanced medical spell he’s never seen before, and swiped over his stomach, and he looked relieved. He had seen only two cases of the forest before, and both of them, the fruit had taken the mages source of mana, as they were careless and not dedicated enough for it. He was amazed at the fact Shichiro successfully made it through that with only light scratches and a few small cuts in his stomas and messing with each other over the spiciness of their food, bragging about how they could handle the spiciest one, and other friends calling them on their bluff, saying that if he could finish the whole thing, the man would pay for it. Shichiro had hailed them and decided to join them out of boredom and mostly hunger after they had called him and asked if he wanted to join. Shichiro sneered and chuckled as the man yelled about how spicy it was and his friends were talking smack to him, and so he challenged the other person to eat some. His speed was superior so he was sure wot win. He had a bit of fun with them, and then exited the break room for a brief moment. He had a lot of thinking to do, and he wanted to talk with somebody else from a grimoire heart about his experience due to the fact that he had no idea what exactly had happened, and it was nice to have someone that had more experience to talk to than simply trying to figure things out by himself. Shichiro was actually feeling really well after all of that happened and he was walking back towards his next challenge.

The sakura trees were lining the particular route he wanted to take from the previous arena and he enjoyed how they flowed and drifted through the air as he walked passed them. The gentle breeze that was hitting his face was nice, and it seemed like he was in that static and sort of stale air of the forest forever, far more than simply two days, and soon he would be at his next challenge, where he would partake in another arena challenge to further himself. At the last moment, Shichiro decided he would postpone this challenge and take a break. He was probably in this place for at least four days and wanted to be around people with familiar faces or at least get some serious solo training down. Shichiro had been on a training binge every since leaving the arena gauntlet, and he felt that he should take a little break, but after that break, he was right back into the swing of things, and started training again immediately. As walked through the streets of Dahlia, he noticed a woman sitting on a bench, and she looked fairly sad, and was waiting for a person to come back with her info that she filled out. This seemed strange to Shichiro , and against his better judgement, he went up to her to ask about what was troubling her. As he talked with her, at first she seemed very reserved, until Shichiro told her a little bit about himself, how he was a mage, and he was to become a master magician soon. She simply said that she was having horrible night terrors, and that she thinks that someone is breaking into her house every night and stalking her, and so Shichiro was a bit worried, despite how apathetic he was about other people’s problems.

That was going to be a B-ranked request due to the fact that there was a high possibility of it being another mage sneaking into the house without anyone else noticing with an unknown , and that if confronted, there would be a fight, so Shichiro already knew he couldn't do much to help this woman. However, he could possibly help her sleep, and told her about how warmed honey in milk would ease the night terrors if drank right before sleeping. She seemed to be a bit consoled in that information, and that made Shichiro had watched her smile a little, turning his head and looking elsewhere to resist the urge to smile himself. Shortly after, Shichiro had parted ways with the female in search of a place to train without being disturbed. He decided a good place to start was the mountains located behind Dahlia. Shichiro then trained by himself for the next few days, learning everything he could about the limitations of his body. Since he didn't really know any techniques, he was simply learning the basic concepts, and his mind worked in such a way as to put the concepts into coherent structure, and he was absorbing the knowledge like a sponge. Everyday, he quizzed him about random facts about the structure of mana that he had learned a few days ago after eating that fruit, or even the day right before, to see if Shichiro was actually retaining the information, and he definitely was. He was like an encyclopedia of knowledge when it came to all things book wise, and could recall all the information. He loved to read, and showed up with multiple reference books with him to training everyday, and a man told him what information in the books was actually important.

Shichiro was going to begin making a name for himself, and it seemed like the man was knowledgeable about certain things dealing with magic. From that point on, Shichiro would need to be learning from experience, practice, and actually learning techniques to better perform in a battle. Shichiro thanked the man profusely, and the man said that he was going to Dahlia to get some rest and be with his family. Shichiro had also needed to pack for a three day trip out in these forests on the mountain sides. This was going to be fun, just like camping with rigorous amounts of training, and Shichiro was excited because he had never gone camping before, and loved new experiences. He showed up right before the sun came up, and didn't see anything. Soon after, Shichiro was enveloped in an illusion that made him nice and lost in the forest, and soon he passed out. He woke up without any of his supplies, and the man he had asked for references was sitting next to him, ready to teach him things although Shichiro hadn’t known at the time. Shichiro wondered where his stuff was cause he even lost his trusted blade, which infuriated him and asked the man where they were before threatening and violently shaking him, and the man simply said that he had to figure that out, and got immediately into teaching detection techniques. First, to understand detection, one had to understand the instincts that we still have as animals, and that they were going to go out and catch their own food. Shichiro had never hunted before, and he didn't really feel the need too, just because he had always ordered food to go out or had somebody else cook for him and all the “messy” work.

It was a good thing that his stomach could handle almost anything, and he could even eat raw meat without much of a hindrance if i came down to it. So, the first day was simply hiking around, looking for animals, and getting a feel for where they were in the wilderness, not to find their way back to the village, but simply to hone their senses. Eventually, Shichiro stopped thinking about his belonging, and instead started listening to the wilderness, the birds, the trees, there was a small stream somewhere to the west of them, and it seemed like his senses were opened up. This was fantastic, and he didn't really seem to notice until he was tracking a small fox through the wilderness. He remembered every step he took so that he could get back to the small camp they had set up, but when he finally cornered the fox, he simply couldn't kill it, and let it go. Shichiro sighed at how nice he was, or perhaps he was simply weak in that he couldn't kill to survive. He found other sustenance in the form of insects that he found inside of fallen over trees and other under crops because he was essentially able to eat anything, he ate centipedes, grasshoppers, larvae of unknown insects, among other things. He didn't really feel full, but he wasn't hungry anymore, which was good, and then he walked back and met up with the man again after collecting quite a few insects using his shirt as a bag to hold them in. The man had a bunch of fish attached to the end of a spear that was fashioned from a fallen branch, or a branch that he just ripped up out of the floor. Shichiro wondered if the man was also good at using weapons, and he probably was in fact.

Still, the man had fish, and all Shichiro had was a bunch of bugs, but the man happily ate them. It was nice to sit out there in the wilderness and starting a fire using nothing but your hands and the environment, and tuning your senses to notice things that you wouldn't normally. After they had eaten and Shichiro was nice and full, the man started to show him how to use his mana to enhance his senses, and even use his mana as a large net that he could blanket over an area to find peoples' signatures. Over the three days, he taught Shichiro how to sense people, tell signatures apart, and even enhance his natural senses with detection, although that could be seen as a handicap in certain situations, like having a powerful sense of smell and then someone puts down a stink bomb, or having a very keen eyesight, and suddenly having a flash bomb in front of your face. Shichiro would take these lessons back with him, and read all he could on the subject, but the hands on experience with the man was far more valuable. He enjoyed the outdoors a lot, so it was nice to sit on the roof of the Grimore Heart estate, above his current staying quarters, and simply stare at the stars. He actually fell asleep up there on the roof, staring at the boundless expanse of the universe, and eventually he wanted to learn about that as well. Shichiro was simply passed out at his desk again after waking up and moving to his temporary quarters, but this time it wasn't because he was up all night studying, but rather that after a few weeks of training and expanding on the lessons that he learned from the old man out in the wilderness, he was simply dead tired and relaxing, sleeping off the exhaustion.

It was very strange, but he found that most times, sitting on the chair and sleeping on his desk was far more comfortable than actually sleeping in his bed, but that was mostly because he almost lived his whole life at his desk after he separated from the bandits that ”took him in”, as a figure of speech. He enjoyed sitting at his desk in the deep hours, reading a good book, as if the book was good, he could see the imagery painted within with vivid mental images within his mind. It was actually a fun experience for him reading books, not that a lot of other people understood the points he tried to bring up, and this was mostly because the people who he associated with were mages and children like himself back from that camp, so they didn't really much care for reading, unless it related to topics that they were interested in, and those usually weren't works of fiction. Plus, He liked the heavier stuff, such as a story that involved a woman who had given birth, and the daughter turned out to be an insane serial killer, and the struggles the mother faced. She couldn't outright bring herself to turn her daughter into the authorities, as she would surely be executed, but she wasn't able to save her daughter throughout the book, and eventually had to kill her daughter with her own hands when the daughter attempted to kill her mother. It was a sad and heavy story, but had a lot of values and conflict that one could contemplate about and work out in their own lives. Shichiro wondered what he would do if someone extremely close to him was a serial killer or something of that nature. He didn't think he could turn them in even if he knew information about them, but he also couldn't stop the magic council from simply picking his brain using their interrogation techniques either, so it was a very strange thought for him.

He wasn't going to oppose the authority of the village that he currently resided in and drag himself into that person’s mess thinking he was an accomplice, but he also couldn't sell out someone that he thought as friend or rival. He was dreaming about his time in the wilderness, which was only about a week ago, and suddenly awoke to a thought. He was almost done learning the basics of everything he wanted to learn, and he needed to continue, even if it put him in the hospital for exhaustion. He wanted to better himself and become well rounded, and he wasn't going to stop until he had done so. The only mage specialty that he was hesitant to learn was projectile based spells, mostly because everything else he was greatly interested in used his hands, and he thought that he couldn't really dedicate his hands to learning forms and incantations, plus he had almost no money, so getting the money to study or learn other people’s techniques wasn't quite on the table, since he needed supplies and the money to buy items and weapons, purchase training books, etc. He decided to go to the local target range to see if he could practice his long ranged based spells. He wanted to be good with his precision so that he wasn't useless at long range, and then he also wanted to learn how to use a sword better, or maybe even train with claws would be pretty fun. The next thing he needed to learn about was debuffs, or the act of casting detrimental abilities. Debuffing seemed like it was going to be a lot easier for him than projectile based spells, just because he didn't have much practice with precision, and was a series of formulas, math, and equations that one would have to calculate to form a technique and aim properly.

That was easy for him, simply to memorize certain concepts, but the physical acts of throwing a projectile needed to be engraved into his body through muscle memory, but it was still going to be more difficult. He showed up to the range, and they had a bunch of chipped and cracked throwing weapons like javelins, shuriken, etc that were donated so that the lower level mages could use them and practice their throwing on dummies and targets. He picked a small lane, and grabbed some of the shuriken lying nearby, and then held one in his right hand. He wondered what the best way to hold and throw it was, and so he grabbed it in between his thumb and forefinger, so that he would throw it like one would throw a frisbee, and hopefully it would be accurate enough to where he could figure it out. So, he brought his right hand over to the left side of the body, and then threw the shuriken with a backwards arc, and tried to release it, but released it fairly late, and completely missed the closest target, and then sighed. There was a mage that snickered at him, and then proceeded to hit the target dummy in the head with all five of his five shuriken. This was like the young man was taunting Shichiro, and he simply furrowed his brow at the mage, as he was already an accomplished mage that made it into a secretive organization and didn't need to deal with someone like that although it crossed his mind to use him as a punching bag for his fists. Chances are, he wouldn’t survive the barrage of punches Shichiro would have laid on him since he sized him up to be around the rank of C so instead, he kept practicing and kept throwing the shuriken until he had no more, and went and picked them up.

He wondered how he could become better, as he only hit two of the five attempts at throwing the shuriken, and none of them were close to kill shots like C-ranked mage had. Shichiro was about to throw again, when an A-ranked mage came into the range, and was simply watching the lower ranked mages. They all seemed to be doing well, and even better when the B-rankeds showed up, and Shichiro began to recognize him as one of the other teachers in the Grimoire Heart guild who was mostly projectile focused. It seemed that a few of these C-ranked mages were students of his, and eventually the B-ranks took pity on him and showed him the proper way to hold and throw the shuriken. Shichiro, flustered, quickly thanked the man, and was getting the hang of throwing the shuriken how the B-ranked mages taught him. He secretly smiled when the A-ranked mage started chewing out his students because there was someone struggling and they just looked on instead of simply showing him proper technique. Shichiro said it was no problem anyways, and then complimented him and the students on their abilities as a sign of goodwill though he didn’t mean it. He kept practicing, and he was learning extremely quickly, like he usually did. The muscle memory was being ingrained into his system, and eventually he was hitting the target everywhere he wanted to hit it almost perfectly. He decided to try different ranges, and eventually the shuriken itself was conquered, and put into his memory banks. He repeated the steps with javelins which of course had their own forms of holding and throwing, and eventually, he got the hang of tossing it. These javelins were going to be his preferred method of fighting, as they could find joints and nerve clusters and shut down opponents without killing them or causing too much damage to the body.

They weren’t going to be normal javelins though. He would make them from his mana and eventually be formidable with it. A rogue projectile could cut an artery or major veins and lead to serious problems, and Shichiro didn't want to accidentally kill anyone. The javelin were a different story from the shuriken and had a completely different way to throw them and hold them, and a completely different trajectory, so it was very difficult to get used to them. He had to stop for the day and go back the next day, and eventually after the entire day at the range, he was fairly good at throwing javelin. The other thing he wanted to learn was how to wield a sword or other bladed weapon efficiently, and that was a simple thing of going and talking to someone in the city that had a sword strapped to their belt, and asking them if they could show him a few moves. Learning weapons was fairly fun, but definitely not easy for everybody. Shichiro felt he could learn them easier then most people though. Wielding a sword felt very natural for him, as the training swords that were given to him were heavier than normal swords, so that they could train his body to swing a sword easily. Well, he had already trained greatly in weaponry before with the bandits, so wielding the training sword wasn't really that difficult weight wise, but he wasn't a natural in sword fighting like he was in hand-to-hand combat. He got beaten and bruised a lot, not only by his instructor at the camps, but by other people who were practicing with their swords and offered to spar with him as a child. Shichiro was small and scrawny at the time, so people thought it was because he couldn't swing the sword around properly because he was so small, but it wasn't really that, he was simply bad at coordinating his body with what his mind wanted him to do.

He kept practicing until he could barely stand, and then stumbled and limped home with a big grin on his face. One couldn't expect to proceed without a bit of suffering, and this was his creed, or code he lived by. One must go through and overcome suffering to have a pure heart. Life itself was suffering, but through the suffering of life, there are moments where you are proud that you got through the suffering stronger than before. Shichiro was happy to think about that as he was sprawled out over his bed and instantly fell asleep. The next day, he grabbed some breakfast, said hello to his allies, and then told them that he was going to train again that day, to which they seemed a little concerned about him, because the bruises on his body had become purple, although they weren't swelling or anything. They were most likely going to swell that day since he was determined to continue his harsh training with a sword. It was fun, and eventually he was able to throw around the metal easier, and was better about defending himself in that way against the other sword users. He was happy with his progress, although it was slow compared to the rest of the people practicing, but that was to be expected from someone who had never actually been formally trained with a sword before and mostly read books. The training overall was good, and he was satisfied with his performance, but the people there were adept, and he learned all that he could from them, and decided to move onto his next goal, which was to control his mana efficiently. This one, he actually didn't need anyone to teach him specifically, because everything he wanted to learn was available at the library, and that was exactly where he went that day.

He offered some of guild members to come with him to the library, but they did that once, and noticed that he had over sixty percent of the fitness books at the table with himself, and they said that he trained too much. Well, some of them said that anyways. Shichiro continued to read and read and read, the basics of mana control started to open up within his mind, and he started to learn about it. It was strange, and was almost like the old tales of alchemy, using arrays to channel energy and change the properties of matter, and he wondered if anyone had ever tried to complete the same thing using the principles of mana and magic. Mana essentially acted as a catalyst, a symbol that would hold the energy and tell it what to do was directed at a person, place or thing when aiming and when the user wished to activate it, mana was fed to it, and because the action was already pre-recorded, it would simply activate, no incantations required. This was only using mana to cast spells through body movement, however, as he continued reading, he learned that one could channel their mana through weapons and other things, and apply it directly through contact using their hands, feet and body. It was a very interesting specialty, and right up Shichiro's alley. The generic catalyst was the product of spells, and it seemed like it was definitely needed if he was going to be a hand-to-hand practitioner. Having a bunch of supplies in a magical scroll instead of a bag seemed to be far more efficient of a way to carry around things, the scroll could also most likely be used to contain some of the weapons or medicinal supplies that he would carry along with him, so this was invaluable to learn.

As he combed through the scrolls and books about Mana and how to properly control it, it was getting late, and he had forgotten to eat, so he simply checked out some of the books as he usually did, said goodbye to the library attendant that knew him by first name now, and then went home. He decided to stop by a taco stand and use a bit of money from his missions to buy some homeless children some, and when he got back, he gave them most of them while happily eating with them. He had a decent life, and he knew that eventually he would go through something horrible, especially because of that announcement from that guy who claimed to be the mastermind of the upcoming war. He knew he shouldn't worry about things like that, as he was still the newest Sin-in-training, but he couldn't help but focus his mind on it. He made sure to get plenty of sleep, although he was still up fairly late studying the texts about mana, he made sure not to stay up too late as his allies got mad at him when he did that. He didn't really have anything to do the next day, and so he was right back in the library. He met someone there that wanted to check out the same intermediate mana manipulation book as he did, and the young woman decided to share, after some speculation about Shichiro's appearance, and not thinking that someone so young was interested in magic. After reciting a few lines to the woman from an incantation textbook, she reluctantly said she got it, and sat down next to him and opened the book. Shichiro, growing up with reading and he read much faster than the woman, and simply waited for her to be done, which seemed to slightly annoy her, so he tried to pretend to keep reading by staring at the page until she flipped it.

He didn't want to make her feel bad, and wondered by someone like this would be jealous or angry at a guy for being able to read faster. Each person had their own skills and their own special things they were good at, and Shichiro understood that his was reading, comprehension, and training or the exercising of ideas and concepts. She had strong legs and an overall slender but fit body type, so she was obviously a strong type, and wondered what other sorts of things she was good at, considering she had a good physique as well as an interest in mana as well. She wasn't really talkative, so Shichiro decided to take the initiative, and ask her her name and why she was interested in magic. She said that she didn't really like magic, but she was from a family that specialized in it, and didn't want to disappoint her parents, so decided to learn a little bit about it. He thought it was interesting, and they talked a while about the finer points of the subject that her father taught. He was getting second hand teachings from this person, which was actually nice, as it was good to have someone to talk to about things that interested you. After they had finished that book, he decided to leave, as he knew enough about control to start creating his own and learning spells. She said he was welcome to talk to her again if he saw her in the library the next time, and with that, Shichiro got yet another person to talk to. He was glad that he was able to meet interesting people so easily, and he chalked it up to him being amazing. He wondered if people would find the gigantic vein like scar on his chest ugly, and if that would make him not quite as liked. Or maybe if they knew he was a member of the Sins they wouldn’t like him anymore.

Shichiro had just started learning medical techniques, as he had finally felt the need to actually go through and hone his medical knowledge, in preparation of where it would be most effective to strike a person or animal to cause the most harm. He had very basic knowledge, but he needed to seek out a medical expert that had performed human body experiments on himself and created his techniques for actual knowledge, they seemed extremely well versed in all thing related to medical spells. He was still learning how to control his mana and other things of that nature, because he was still learning how to effectively kill his opponents. He was going to set off soon, even though he was really not in the mood to search all of Dahlia, as he was studying or training constantly. He walked through town, looking for the building that he had seen many times before, although it was a bit off the beaten path, a small building with barely anything to distinguish it from all of the other buildings around are Grimore Heart. The mist clung to his clothing, as this morning it was a bit wet, like it usually was. The mist in the air hung a bit less thick than it did the previous day, so he was a bit optimistic about it clearing up a bit before a big rain storm, as he loved it when it rained, although it didn't happen as often as one would think. Clearing multiple streets and alleyways, passing by people who kept to themselves most of the time, He finally reached a small door with a movable slot that most others wouldn't have even bothered with, and then knocked three times on the cold metal. A set of eyes would be found, the whisper that it said had the tone of someone yelling, and had a small tint of anger within it, however the eyes stopped being slit and judgmental when they looked through and found that an equal amount of malice and angry eyes had been staring right back at him.

The slit would slam closed, and multiple tumblers could be heard unlocking and creaking before a few seconds of silence. The door would then open just enough for Shichiro to squeeze in when he turned sideways, and as soon as he cleared the space, the door slammed closed with all of the same tumbling noises happening again, the outside world seemed to be locked away. Shichiro dusted off the sides of his shirt and his pants that got dusty from the doorway, and then offered a hand to the old man that was at the door as a greeting or something. The old bitter man couldn't help but remove his frown at the young lad. There was no such thing as a smile for the old man's face, but not scowling was the best one could hope for, and meant that the man was content. The old man's wrinkled hands met Shichiro's, and he tried hard to give the man a firm hand shake, much like how he was taught. The old man then pat him on the shoulder, and then shooed him off in the direction of a large corridor. Shichiro walked down the large corridor, until he got to a set of open areas that led into multiple rooms filled with different things. One room was nothing but animal body parts in jars, another was a bunch of tables, and yet another one where there was a small morgue. He took notes as he walked along, not about anything in particular, but the notes stated that he was about to learn some medical, and he noted the date and time. The complex was much larger on the inside it seemed, and also went underground a couple of levels. There was essentially a fully equipped hospital and morgue in this building, and Shichiro was completely enthralled by it, and hoped that one day he could work within it's halls.

His day started with a checkup of his own body, as well as the doctor that he met with telling him exactly what he was looking for. He had heard this before, but it was getting drilled into his head. After the initial checkup and the man taking a bit of blood, he asked what Shichiro wanted to learn today. Anatomy was the broad, umbrella term that he used to describe what he wanted to learn, and that was exactly what they discussed for the rest of the day. The man didn't really teach him in the conventional way, which was simple fact and demonstrations. To learn anatomy, he was taken into the small morgue that he had seen earlier, and was taken, step by step, in the procedures of an autopsy. Some would say that this would traumatize a normal person, but Shichirowasn’t well….. a normal person, and knew that the body was just that, a dead body, and it was essentially a library. As the human was taken apart piece by piece, the man labeled every single part of the human body, and how it functioned with other parts. He was furiously writing down notes while he looked on, and he even helped out in some of the simpler things. The body had most of it's blood drained already, so there was nothing really to worry about. Shichiro was so fascinated by the man, and wondered how he died. He was then taught that the autopsy was a medical technique used to discern what had killed the person, and ran through the possible lists. The man was a smoker, so when they took out his lungs and heart, they seemed discolored and when the man stimulated them with mana, they functioned poorly or irregularly, and he made a note of that as well.

The man was an excellent teacher, and Shichiro a sponge when it came to these things. Before he left the place, the man gave Shichiro first aid book as well, to study the basics of how to use medical abilities in real world applications and the like. Shichiro studied the entire night, learning how to clean and dress minor wounds, apply stitched, and other things of that type. He even stopped by a butcher and grabbed a large section of pork so that he could practice his sutures and see if he could recognize the muscles and other parts of the pig as well as hit it repeatedly. This training kept going for about a month, and he had learned essentially all there was to know about the human body through teachings, as well as hands on autopsies that the undercity of Dahlia was responsible for. During this time, he was learning how to properly control his Mana, so once that was done, he requested that he learn how to properly use his mana for medical purposes. Shichiro had been training for an entire two days now, obsessed with the thought of being able to effectively kill with his bare hands and study things relating to anatomy as well as dead bodies, he had been to the place for the past two days, learning everything he could. He still did some light fitness training to stay in shape and was also learning mana control during this time, so that he could be well prepared and have good balance as well. At this point, Shichiro got to the building, and went deep down into the lower levels, and conducted his own autopsy, unassisted. The man that had taught him clapped when the entire procedure was done, as there were no mistakes.

The man had all of his organs removed, and was embalmed perfectly without a hitch, and he had even been able to prove that the man was killed by a cyst in his intestines that had ruptured and leaked into his kidneys, causing them to fail. The man was impressed, and decided that it was time to teach the man on how to properly utilize the mana for medicinal and potential buffing purposes. This wasn't going to be training based on any particular spell, and to learn actual medical spells, the young man would have to go elsewhere, but to learn the principles of medical spells, and the knowledge that one would need to actually be a great at medicine, those were the things the old man could teach him, if he was determined, which he had proven to be. Shichiro nodded to the man's statement, and started conducting experiments on his own. No mana usage as of yet, but good old fashioned hard work and analytic skills would move him forward with the experiments. Shichiro was tasked to figure out a man's primary source of magic, from a handful of what was essentially scraps of the man's body. A finger, a bit of his scalp with hair on it, a sample of his blood from a tissue, and a portion of the man's stomach. He was given no assistance, and was only taught how to figure things like this out from the autopsies and bits and pieces of information he could get out of the old man prior. How the hell was anybody suppose to figure this shit out? This guy must have been doing this for eons if he could tell with just this. Shichiro looked at the pieces, and decided that even though it would be extremely difficult to tell, he knew that his teacher might still make him somehow figure out an ocular type of magic as the man's primary, so he didn't rule it out.
