The sun was high in the sky on the beautiful springtime morning, nary a cloud in sight of the magnificent Domus Flau: an arena as old as the capital city itself. Built at the summit of a nearby mountain the Domus had stood idle, only being used for the occasional fight between training mages looking to strengthen their own abilities. Never before has it been used for something as grand as the event today. The Grand Magic Games: a tournament featuring every guild in Fiore. A chance for every guild mage to showcase their abilities, and the strength of their guild. Every seat was occupied, as the public waited for the first fight to begin. The arena itself, a circle of 100 meters diameter with marble flooring, was watched over by four warriors: Hercales, Shaka Zulu, Miyamoto Musashi and Beowulf. Four of the legendary Nine Heroes, each with their glorious weapon immortalised in stone beside them, eager to bare witness to the power of Fiore. Both contestants will be instructed to walk towards the center of the ring, stopping in their tracks once both are an equal distance from the center and 25m apart. The fight will then be started via the sound of a blast from the referee. "Now for an interesting matchup indeed. Xandra Queen, the Enchantress of Daeva Eye, is facing up against Shichiro Uchida of Advent World. With one of a kind magics and some items high level items on both sides, this match will bring honour to both guilds, regardless of the outcome. It’s going to come down to a mixture of their arsenals and, above all else, skill. Let’s see what happens." |

For now, he’d just hang on to his trusty to bow until he could find the opening he needed to get in close. That was his plan for now. Just in case, Shichiro decided to observe the arena for anything that stood out that he could use to his advantage. He was adept in using the surroundings around him in order to give him the edge in battle but as far as he could see, there's just nothing but marble flooring. No kind of debris in sight. Shichiro just sucked his teeth and figured he would have you use nothing but force if he wanted to win. He was very confident in his strength but he wasn’t going to claim he was the strongest creature walking the earth either. After all, he did lose a fight to his current guild master which Shichiro hopes to repay the favor in due time. Now then, to focus on his opponent.

So tell the gun to sin Like an angel with the dirty wings Tainted by tastes of the soul This is another level Deep in Mana: 3030/3030 | The time had finally arrived. The timid sun hung high in the bright sky, looming over the grand arena where thousands sat on the edge of their seats in excitement and anticipation as the day that they had awaited had arrived. The cheerful commotion that originated from the audience who sat at the outer edge of the arena echoed through the vicinity. Over the loud screams of exhilaration, she could hear the announcer's voice booming across as it served it's purpose of enthralling all those who sat to witness this battle between the guilds. Over the past year, a lot of changes had taken over Fiore. One of the major ones happened to be the rise of new powerhouse guilds and it was their power and strength which was being put to the test today. The Bellan, in particular, was not extremely elated at the prospect of having to fight someone to put on a show. The entire idea had seemed to be a tad bit too bothersome to her and yet, here she was, sauntering onto the battlefield as the announcer called upon her name as well as her opponent's. Despite being rather aloof to the whole tournament herself, she was here to represent her guild and thus, she was willing to give it her all. It was her moment to showcase her dedicated to her guild and if anything, it served as a reason to win the upcoming match. Walking over from the end of the arena, she spotted a man across her. In particular, the long bow that he held with him was what drew her attention as it was rather hard to miss. The only thing she had known about the strange man before her, courtesy of the announcer, was that he belonged to Advent World, the guild that Finn had established. Apart from that, he was as unknown to her as she was to him. Yet, she knew not to underestimate an opponent and hence, she approached the center of the arena, stopping about twelve and a half meters from the center of the arena to ensure that she stood exactly twenty-five meters away from him. Her outfit consisted of a simple pastel pink blouse and a pair of black pants which were matched up with running shoes that had a firm grip against the marble flooring. Over her attire, she wore a black robe, left open in the front, that cascaded down to her knees. Her short pink hair was pulled away from her face using her headband as other items in her possession included the ring that rested on her left hand as well as the necklace which hung around her neck. While she wasn't sure what her strategy for the battle would be, she knew that she had to cope a feel of her opponent's power as it was an essential element in deciding what her steps would be. All she knew was that she had to win this, for the sake of her guild and so, she pulled her legs slightly apart, lowering her body a tad bit as she became ready to react to whatever comes her way once the blast echoes through the sky. |

The arrow fired soared through the air at thirty meter a second, heading towards its intended target. As the arrow traveled it began to shift its form, changing into a two diameter ball of magma heading straight for his opponent's chest. Though it may have started off as a strong ability, he was really counting on it to land. He was still gauging his opponent's strength and tactics with his initial attack as well as using it as cover. Shichiro then began to set up his next attack. Raising his bow, Shichiro aimed at the sky above him, drawing his bow once more before firing another boiling hot arrow made of magma. He fired that second one directly into the air above his previous location at thirty meters a second set for maximum range. He'd sheath the bow by placing it onto his back into its holster before he balled up his fist, preparing to enter his combat stance. Standing with his feet shoulder-width apart and taking one step back with his right foot and orienting it so his feet are at right angles to each other. His left leg was relaxed, with the majority of his weight on their right foot, keeping his body straight but maintained the same angle. He brought his hands in front of his face, curling them whiling lean his head forward behind them for better coverage of the face and holding his elbows forward so he could maneuver his arms to block body shots to his ribs or liver. The second arrow he fired, became a meteor as it began its ascent into the air.

So tell the gun to sin Like an angel with the dirty wings Tainted by tastes of the soul This is another level Deep in Mana: 2715/3030 | The blaring sound of the horn echoed through the vicinity, bouncing off the walls of the arena as it drowned within the enthralled screams of the crowd. The fight had officially commenced and it was her turn to put on a show for the public. While it may have been as unpleasant as it sounded, she readied herself regardless. Her position remained the same as she lowered her center of gravity in order to be able to move in any direction, given the action of her opponent. Once the sound reached her ears, she saw her opponent leap backwards while drawing the string of his bow. The long bow had made clear his advantage in the large range they had between them. Upon noticing him drawing the string, she immediately knew what she had to do as arrows were objects that needed to be aimed. Applying pressure on her left foot against the marble surface, she pushed herself in the other direction, lunging about four meters to the right as the arrow was released her way. Without a moment's hesitation, she caught herself and stabilized her position, waiting to see what he would do next. As she moved away from her previous position, she caught a glimpse of the arrow that morphed into a larger meteor, zooming past, at a distance of three meters from her to her left. Given that she had avoided the attack, it was the least of her concerns as she had gained slight insight into the workings of the bow which's arrows appeared to morph into meteors. She pushed against her right foot which rested on the flat surface, propelling herself forward as she had a clear view of her opponent who wasted no time in drawing his string again to launch another arrow. And yet, this time, it was aimed towards the sky at a steep angle. While he had launched the attack above himself, he seemed stagnant in his position as if awaiting the attack to befall upon him. Xandra, however, saw this as an opportunity. Upon noticing him drawing his bowstring to launch the second arrow, she shot forwards towards her opponent who fell into a series of several actions. By the time Shichiro had finished sheathing the insanely large bow, she had already managed to close a gap of twenty meters between her opponent and herself. When she was about ten meters away from him, she raised her index finger, pointing it towards her opponent's vital spot; a spot where no man would wish to take a hit. Luckily, she was a woman and far from one who cared about how she acquired a victory as long as she did. She aimed at his groin. A vibrant purple beam of mana shot out of her finger and headed towards her targeted spot. Giving the precise nature of her magic, she knew her attack would land and cause damage. Once the mana beam had escaped her finger, she simultaneously tapped her foot against the ground. Instantly, a hazy purple mist surrounded her body, projecting several tiny needle-like objects that escaped the mist and propelled forwards towards her opponent's groin, following suit to her first attack. She kept a safe distance, staying at least ten meters away from her opponent who had just launched an arrow into the sky which transformed into a giant meteor, about eight meters in diameter, as it ascended. However, much to her expectation of the meteor showering down upon the arena and hitting it's own caster, the fiery rock fizzled once it reached it's maximum height, disappearing into the air only to leave a trail of smoke behind. It appeared that the spell was unable to travel any further as it dispersed into minuscule rock and smoke particles upon reaching it's maximum range. Despite her original intention of feeling out her opponent's power, she no longer resorted to such a time consuming method. Alas, the quicker she ended this, the better it would be for her. Once her previous attacks homed towards the targeted area of her opponent's body, she would take a step forward and flick her right wrist, creating a long, purple whip of mana which extended from the edge of her fingertips. She would extend her arm, cracking the whip as the tail launched towards her opponent's right hand, wrapping around his wrist and dealing damage to it. The poisonous nature of her magic had a detrimental impact as she could assume that he would feel the sensation of being weakened with every attack that came his way. It was venomous quality that she had embraced, using it to pay no heed to the misery of her enemies or opponents, in this case. |

Whilst the female began to raise her finger towards the Shichiro in order to retaliate with what he assumed would have been cast a spell, Shichiro pressed his feet towards his opponent to lunge forward swiftly while simultaneously tapping his fists together briefly coating both his arms and legs with his mana to simulate the effects of magma upon contact, clearing the ten meter within an instant, outstretching his right fist towards his opponent's nose. It wasn't much he could do but he wasn't about to sit around and wait to be struck neither. He wasn't sure how strong his opponent was physically but he was confident he could hold his own in terms of raw strength and might. Readying his left fist, Shichiro would prepare to react accordingly to the situation at hand.

Shichiro, post #4, the fight begins and Shichiro immediately leaps backwards an additional 5m, making their total distance 30m. As he does this leap, he fires his bow at Xandra's chest. The bow shot an arrow of magma that became 2m in diameter, obviously blocking Xandra's vision of her opponent. The arrow shot into the air doesn't do anything, as it'll reach its full range and then disappear.
Xandra, post #5, reacts to the drawing of the bowstring to leap to the side four meters to her right, in order to attempt dodging the arrow. She then propels forward, stating that by the time Shichiro sheathed his bow she had closed 20 meters, making their gap 10 meters total. After reaching the ten meter spot, she aimed for his groin with her index finger, and then after that beam launched proceeded to launch further attacks. Then, after looking up and watching the meteor fizzle out, she steps forward to utilize a whip and try to catch her opponents right hand.
Shichiro, post #6, acknowledges Xandra's closing of the gap between them to 10 meters. Once she reached the 10m mark, Shichiro had finished sheathing his bow. As she stops at that distance, she begins lifting her finger to aim at at Shichiro's groin. At the same time, as she begins to lift her finger, Shichiro dashes forward to close the gap with the intention to force this into a close-range fight.
Here's where we're at then.
Xandra closed 20m in her post. This had to have been done one of two different ways. Either she ran that distance, in which case there is a small buildup time to hit full speed. Or she lunged, in which case she lunged once, covered her maximum distance of 15m, and then lunged a second time. However, considering in her "Stats & Arsenal" section she specifically quotes the 30m/s, this would insinuate she ran that distance. Which means she had to accelerate to 30m/s, then slow to a halt to stop at her exact 10m distance.
In her post, she states the following.
Xandra wrote:By the time Shichiro had finished sheathing the insanely large bow, she had already managed to close a gap of twenty meters between her opponent and herself.
This insinuates that she had already reached her desired location and come to a full stop by the time Shichiro had just been finishing putting his weapon away. However, due to the buildup to max speed and the fact that you wouldn't just stop on a dime at 10m/s, you'd have to slow slightly into it or skid short and slide into place, I'm more inclined to go with:
Shichiro wrote:It seems his opponent had closed the gap while he was performing his previous actions and made it within ten meters of him after he had sheathed his bow and got into his stance.
What this means is that Shichiro had finished sheathing his bow just before Xandra closed that 20m gap, or at the very least right as she did. I think there's a misconception on how sheathing a bow would work, as call was made to its exceptional size. In reality though, sheathing a bow just means wearing it as so. (click for image)
So what now?
Xandra is lifting her finger towards where Shichiro's groin is as Shichiro pushes off the ground towards her, which interrupts most of her timeline. He is lunging at 15m/s, which will close the gap in just over half a second. Xandra would finish raising her finger and firing off the first attack, however it would not hit Shichiro's groin. I'm inclined to say that by closing the gap, the beam would hit higher up such as on his stomach or upper pelvis. If there was last second adjustment to keep it at groin-level, it would likely hit the leg that moved forward during the dash.
However, he'd be reaching you a fraction of a fraction of a second after the beam fired. So you have essentially just finished tapping your foot as he is swinging at your face, making you unable to suddenly leap back or to the side in order to try and escape, seeing as how your timing was to tap your foot at the same moment the beam left your finger. So Shichiro is reaching you as you're taking your step towards him to form your whip, meaning that your arms are still both to your sides, you've just planted your foot forward, and he is swinging at your face.
With minor magic resist, Shichiro takes C+D damage from the first beam, then B rank damage from the needles, dealing a total of 1B, 1C, 1D to wherever they hit. With her arms to the side and stepping forward towards Shichiro, he is swinging right to her face. If she is unable to somehow dodge or block this, she will be taking S rank damage to the face from that punch. That would break her Band of Balance, dealing 1A and 1 B rank damage if it hits.
The thread is now unpaused. It is Xandras turn to post.

So tell the gun to sin Like an angel with the dirty wings Tainted by tastes of the soul This is another level Deep in @Shichiro | The screams of anticipation which echoed through the arena were blocked out by the Bellan who dedicated her attention solely on the opponent in front of her. Her eyes fidgeted, watching his every move. As she had raised her finger, pivoting her hand forward from the elbow, the man who stood ten meters before her made his move. He seemed to have prepared himself for action. However, his actions had only managed to confuse the female as she discarded the thought about wondering what his strategy was and instead, focused on using her instincts to fight this man who was brimming with unpredictability. He lunged forward, directly into the path of her attacks just as the purple mana beam escaped her finger. By the time she launched her second attack, by lightly tapping her foot against the ground, the beam had almost collided into him. Albeit not towards the part of his body which had aimed for, but on the upper area of his pelvic region. The needles which escaped the mist would crash into him a fraction of a second after the beams did, hitting him in various spots to do some overall damage. The mist through which the needles escaped quickly dissolved into the air once the needles had propelled forward. Given the nature of her magic, she could assume that he would be feeling fatigued sooner or later. However, what he felt at that moment was the least of her concerns. Once the mist disintegrated, she had a clear view of the man who was lunging directly towards her with his hand clasped into a fist while his arm was simply outstretched. He hadn't even appeared to pull his outstretched arm back in order to pack a punch, leaving her in wonder about his actions. His state of mind, however, was something she could figure out after the match was over. He was coming towards her fast with his outstretched arm that was coated in what seemed to be magma. Her initial plan was to take a step forward in order to utilize a spell, a whip, that would potentially hold him down. However, the sudden change in his actions had thrown her off. Her leg had lifted off the ground in order to take a step forward and was now accompanied by her left hand. As she witnessed his fist coming towards her, her left hand glided across her body from her right hip, simultaneously as her left foot landed against the ground, about half a meter before her. As her hand glided across, a thin, purple and translucent mist coated her body, creating a sort of armor for her protection. The mist that embraced her body acted as a snug coating, creating an ease of movement for her. It would be activated right before her forearm would collide against his molten arms, pushing it away, towards her left. Using that momentum, she would hold out her right hand. Regardless of the collision of her left arm against his right one, she would propel her right palm forward, aiming towards the center of his sternum as she attacked him while channeling all her strength into her palm. As her palm faces him, colliding against his chest, it would activate a spell which would create a purple orb that would explode for a four meters diameter. Regardless of how he would have handled that, she would instantaneously launch her next attack. If her palm had landed without being dodged by him, she would push upon her right leg, raising it to kick him straight in the groin. If, however, he had managed to dodge her attacks in any way or form whatsoever, she would immediately grasp onto whatever was available, likely his left arm, grabbing onto it and pushing it away from her while simultaneously doing the same as she would have if she had landed the attack; by kneeing him in the groin. It seemed as if it was better for them to engage in close combat. After all, up until a while ago, that was what she was used to. Once she had kicked him, channeling all her strength into her knee, she would retract it, placing it on the ground behind her as she stabilized her footing. She lunged back by five meters, landing on her feet. Her body crouched down slightly in order to prepare for anything that came her way, if it even came her way. Her hands were held out before her, closer to her body as she took a defensive stance. |

He was now within a meter of her with his outstretched hand, attempting to collide with his opponent's nose as intended. For some odd reason however, the female decided she would step forward half a meter, attempting to move her left hand to the right side of her body in order to swipe it back towards her left to cast a spell. Shichiro found that a peculiar route to take in order to try to defend herself as he slammed his fist into his opponent's nose sooner than he had anticipated as she stepped forward, forcing her to stumble back a meter and hindering her head. He didn't stop there though however to see if his opponent stayed conscious or not, he continued his assault when he briefly paused after his lunge before pressing off of his left foot this time, to lunge once more towards her, outstretching his left fist towards her abdomen region in order to attempt to wind his opponent while retract his right arm in preparation for potential retaliation. Shichiro was feeling good not that he had landed his first blow after his initial screw up in the opening of the fight. Well, he figured he had to repay her somehow after the two spells he was made to endure.

OOC: >Few points of note, Finn had already ruled my fist was already swinging towards your face after certain interactions. Then you stepped forward essentially hasting my fist colliding into your nose. And lastly, "As she witnessed his fist coming towards her, her left hand glided across her body from her right hip" implying, you would have to move your left towards your right side of the hip in order to drag it across from your right back to your left, which you don't really have time to do given how close I am to you already and the ruling stating that your arm was at your side at the start. You would essentially take 1xA, 1xB, 1xC and 1xD, hindering your head after breaking your Band of Balance and breaking it.
>Yeah, I understand timelines so don't worry about it. :D
> Equipment Regulations "When the user wields items that have spells attached to it with the same elemental alignment as their own magic, the spells on the item of the same element get a 20% mana reduction and a 1 post cooldown reduction." Meaning, that it offsets the additional mana cost I would normally have to pay for it being a two handed weapon as well as the werewolf increased cooldowns.

I hope that clears up everything.

So tell the gun to sin Like an angel with the dirty wings Tainted by tastes of the soul This is another level Deep in @Shichiro | With the recent rise in the power of various new guilds within Fiore, the Bellan finally had the chance to display the true strength of her guild through these petty fights which she considered to be no more than mere showpieces to satisfy civilians. The law that this world had followed for ages had been one where the strong were always at the forefront, always leading and always respected by those who were not in power. It was a position that she envisioned Daeve Eye in and if that had meant participating in this miasma of fight, in which there was only one winner, she would do so. Granted she was confident in her own capabilities and yet, that never gave her the opportunity to underestimate her opponents. She hadn't done so in this case either, readying herself for any attack that comes her way and yet, this fight proved to be a lot more cumbersome than she had anticipated. Her shield, albeit weakened by her own attacks, still clung to her body like armor as the saturated purple mist had left a blank slate before her eyes upon creation, in order to avoid any hindrance to her vision. It appeared as if things were going suspiciously well as her opponent, seemingly unable to comprehend that her actions would have disrupted whatever it was that he was attempting to do, was met with the blocked attack. Furthermore, his left fist, which looked prepared to launch forward, had not done anything as his stance had given her the opening she needed. Her right hand slammed into his chest, palm facing forward, as she launched her spell which had exploded into a poison bomb inside his ribs, close to where his lungs were located. That action alone should have been enough to stop the man as she suspected that he would likely begin feeling the fatigue kick in. However, yet again, it was far too soon for her to care about what he was feeling as she would not do so until she had ensured her victory in this battle. Xandra had always been a firm believer of the phrase 'better safe than sorry', which had been the basis of her instinctive actions of bombarding him with attacks. The moment her attack had exploded within him, causing some damage to her own poison suited armor, she went forward to knee him in the groin, mustering up all her strength. It was the safest place to land a hit and he should've likely seen it coming. However, seeing his lack of retaliation made her believe that perhaps he didn't. Regardless of how he perceived her actions, she decided to create a short distance of five meters between them as she had lunged backwards. Her body was in a defensive stance and yet, it was probably foolish to let him have a breather. Attacking him after he had already taken her hits was her best way of securing his defeat. Once her feet landed against the ground, upon the five meter mark from her previous position, she would move her right hand slightly forward, flicking her wrist in the process. This motion would activate a spell which she had initially planned to use prior to his unexpected lunge towards her. It was a whip, ten meters in length, that attached itself to the end of her hand. It was a rather useful spell as it was flexible in nature. The minor motion that she had done was enough to bring it to life. A long, thick, string like whip propelled forward from her the tips of her hand. Her eyes were fixated on her opponent's body, particularly his neck, where she had aimed her next attack. The purple whip, made of mana, would make its way towards the targeted location, closing the distance within a quarter of a second. Her attack should likely find its way towards where it had been aimed unless he pulled another unexpected move and jumped elsewhere. If after receiving the knee to his groin, he had managed to have the energy to move out of the way, she would have simply maneuvered her hand in the direction towards which he would have moved as she performed the action. If however, there was a chance that things had not gone the way she had planned, she would prepare herself accordingly. Her actions would be instinctive in nature, responding to ever concurrent action that he would do. |

What this is doing is confirming the actions of your last post as your established timeline. This means that these are actions that have already been completed. Your post is starting up having already planted your foot, and he is already swinging at your face.
Most of Xandra's post, post #10, is confirmation of her timeline. Here is one of the most important parts, however.
Xandra wrote:Her leg had lifted off the ground in order to take a step forward and was now accompanied by her left hand.
As she witnessed his fist coming towards her, her left hand glided across her body from her right hip, simultaneously as her left foot landed against the ground, about half a meter before her. As her hand glided across, a thin, purple and translucent mist coated her body, creating a sort of armor for her protection.
The problem here is you're going back and trying to edit the confirmed timeline. As per my ruling, you have already planted your foot down and completed your step forward. You may not go back now and add in this motion; Any motions you make must take place after the step forward, not during as you are attempting to do.
For Shichiro, post #11, here is the important pieces.
Shichiro wrote:He was now within a meter of her with his outstretched hand, attempting to collide with his opponent's nose as intended.
As Xandra states in her next post in the OOC, the punch would not collide sooner than Shichiro expected. He would have witnessed her stepping forward during his charge, and everything would be happening normally.
However, Xandra's action is hinged upon her being able to begin moving her hand as she is stepping forward. My ruling began her timeline after she'd already stepped forward. This would cause a delay in the movement of her arm, which was meant to be properly timed with her step forward in order to perfectly time her deflection of Shichiro's punch. Due to the fact that her hand swipe is now delayed from her initial movement, she essentially just barely begins moving her hand as Shichiro's fist collides with her face. This action alone disrupts the rest of Xandra's post.
Shichiro continues, having landed his blow, to describe the following.
Shichiro wrote:He didn't stop there though however to see if his opponent stayed conscious or not, he continued his assault when he briefly paused after his lunge before pressing off of his left foot this time, to lunge once more towards her, outstretching his left fist towards her abdomen region in order to attempt to wind his opponent while retract his right arm in preparation for potential retaliation.
The punch he landed to your face was the punch prepared in post #6. This is not due to your step hastening the actions, but rather your misinterpretation of the timeline. Considering your entire next post then was written under the assumption that you had deflected the blow, you don't technically react to his follow up, which would then end the fight.
Shichiro is the victor.
