The world felt so distant as it faded away from her field of vision, rendered to blurry splotches of colors as she heard him speak the words in which she was hoping to never hear. The man she loved more than anything, the one who came into her life and spun her entire world around for the better. How much she wanted to blame him for it all. How she wanted to call him name and curse him for being such a wonderful person. It stung her to even think the words ~ maybe it wasn’t meant to be~
Her Legs betrayed her as she felt them buckle, crushed beneath her sadness as she slumped down to her knees and then once again as her knees pushed forwards and she slumped down onto her butt. Her hands moved quickly to her face as she hid her face from Kazimir the best she could. ~ its not his fault~ she continued to mental tell herself, too broken up for words. She sobbed into her hands, to try and still hide herself away from Kazimir.
She had to be stronger than this, she had to push on, roll with the punches and never give up, but everything seemed so lost now. Her life felt pointless all in one moment as she spiraled down into the crumbling mess she was quickly becoming. She was past her logical façade, and she knew that things would never be the same as they were before. ~ why did I have to ask~ she scolded herself internally, things were fine before that, why now? Why?~ she questioned herself, unable to come up with an answer that could satisfy her internal foe.
Each second that past felt like minutes, as she realized what she was likely doing to Kazimir, it wasn’t fair to him nor was it something he should have to deal with. He was a guildmaster, he was expected to lead armies and encourage mages to be their very best, and she had him lost and likely helpless to her tantrum…. What would the people of Astrea think if they happened upon them right now.
“ im so sorry” she managed to choke out between sobs, moving her hands to wrap around her head entirely, trying her best to not fall apart anymore. She started to take long drawn out breaths and holding them in, slowly letting them out.
