Nuala was spending the evening in Dahlia Town’s inn – a place where many folks came together to drink and have a good time. Warmwool Inn was also the only inn in Dahlia, so that was probably why it was well populated at all times. Nuala enjoyed spending her time here. The staff was made out friendly and forthcoming people, none of which had ever bothered her or judged her in any sort of way. The Voidling had gotten into bar fights before, some drunken, some sober and in spite of that she was still a welcomed guest. Perhaps the reason for that was also that she was, in fact, a member of the Daeva Eye guild and therefore more or less owned this land – but Nuala didn’t believe this to be the reason. She decided that they were kind to her out of the goodness of their hearts and that was enough for the thief. Nuala was drinking an alcoholic drink and enjoying something to eat. Rice pudding with cherries was her absolute favourite snack and she could have it every day. In fact, she ended up having this exact snack every day. There was nothing else to do for the day and Nuala hadn’t heard from Adarian the Heretic in a while. Adarian was the leader of the Red Hades cult that somehow was scheming within Dahlia’s walls and rather than fighting him off, Nuala was kind of just rolling along with it. She never agreed to being good or bad in particular and that man paid her surprisingly well for all the work she was willing to do. The cult was a questionable group of people but in order to learn more about them she had to get closer to them in general and the voidling was willing to do that. [305|1.500] |

Adarian was an elderly man and not physically strong or threatening or anything, but she knew for a fact that he possessed necromancy magic. Necromancy magic, as far as she knew and understood, was incredibly powerful and therefore she was quite interested in learning more about it. But that was probably for when he decided to contact her again. For now, there was nothing else to do other than to wait for his message. Nuala finished her rice pudding and her drink and paid the bar maid before getting up and leaving the place. She was returning home now to the Daeva Eye guild hall, where she wanted to return to her chambers and get some rest. It wasn’t like the voidling to go to sleep early – quite the opposite already. She enjoyed being out and about during night time but tonight she supposed would be different. Not that it was a problem or anything. When Nuala entered the guild hall she was immediately approached by one of the staff members. It was a cute little girl with big glasses and curly blond hair. She served as some sort of messenger to the guild members in case people who weren’t allowed to enter wanted to leave a message. “Miss Nuala – there’s a letter that has been left here for you by a messenger.” She handed Nuala a blood red envelope with a black seal and left shortly after. Upon seeing the seal, Nuala already knew who this was going to be. It was called the RED Hades cult for a reason. Nuala opened the letter and it only had two things written on it. For once, date and time which was today in an hour. And an unknown address. Nuala suspected that that’s where he wanted to meet her so rather than going up to her rooms, she immediately turned on her heel and searched for that address. [625|1.500] |

It was good that she had a whole hour of extra time because that's how long she took to find the damn place. It was a house that could have been abandoned, but clearly it was not since one of Adarian’s people was already waiting outside to let her inside. “I suspect you have another job for me?” The Voidling asked and the man nodded. “Yes. I need you to bring me three different items that all can be found here within Dahlia. I need them to complete a ritual for mass summoning in order to raise the dead from the cemetery.” Of course he did. Nuala nodded. “You know,” the woman started, “I’ve been doing a lot of good work for you recently and I think I should receive more payment for the deeds I do for you from now on.” It’s not like she was complaining, but at the same time she was. Much to her surprise, Adarian simply nodded. “I figured this would be an easy task for a thief like yourself, but very well. 130,000 Jewels for all three items.” That was easier than expected. Naturally Nuala took the job and listened to him about where to find the certain items – and what the items were to begin with. The first item he wanted was an empty phylactery, which according to Adarian the heretic was owned by a shop owner of a shop down the street. Adarian described the item well enough for Nuala to be able to recognize it and of course she had no plans of buying it. She was going to steal it. Nuala left the abandoned house and walked down the street. The shop was a normal shop with random wares in it, but it was already closed since it was late in the evening. Nuala simply unlocked the door with a lockpick, snuck inside and looked around. [943|1.500] |

There, on top of a fireplace, the empty phylactery was placed as an ornament. Nuala removed it, stuffed it into her bag and left the shop as quietly as she had entered it. Since the shop wasn’t too far away from Adarian, she was able to return to him within half an hour and he was pleased to find that she had, in fact, brought him the correct item. “Very good. The next item that I require is an animal head, freshly severed. There’s a restaurant not far from here, the owner has a dog. Other than that, I don’t know of any other pets around, so get going.” Killing an innocent animal wasn’t really a problem for Nuala, just like killing innocent people wasn’t a problem for her. The Voidling simply nodded and went on her merry way. The restaurant was on the other side of the city and thus it took her way longer to get there in first place. The restaurant was closed and the dog was chained in the backyard, which made it a pretty easy target. Nuala, who was soundless, snuck close to the dog, slit its throat using one of her daggers and then struggled a bit to remove its head. Once that was done she placed it into a bag and returned to Adarian with her second item for the night. “This one was pretty messy,” she had to admit while cleaning herself. The last item would be the most difficult to obtain. It was a book hidden inside Bishop Santos’ private apartment. Adarian described the location of the apartment and also mentioned that the Bishop was holding a late night preaching at around this time at the church, so he wouldn’t be at home. Nuala left for the apartment and ended up seeing the bishop leaving it, just like Adarian had described. [1.253|1.500] |

Since he didn’t know her he also paid no attention to her and once he was gone, Nuala was able to snuck inside his house without problems. Nuala decided to use her ability to become invisible after all, since it was better to be safe than sorry and once inside the house, she had to locate the book. She knew that she had at least an hour, but she didn’t want to spend more time in here than it was actually necessary. Finding the book turned out to be kind of difficult after all and even though Adarian had described it in detail (a black grimoire sealed with a skull lock, very obviously used for dark magic) it didn’t seem as though the Bishop was keeping this possession lying around in the open. Nuala assumed that something so precious was probably hidden away somewhere close to him so she ended up entering his apartment. Nuala looked in his desk, under his bed, on top of his bed and lastly his wardrobe. There, she noticed a fake wall which revealed a small box behind it and low and behold, in said box she found the grimoire that Adarian was looking for. Pleased with her work, Nuala grabbed the book out of the box and restored everything to normal before she fled the apartment to make sure that she wasn’t being seen. Then Nuala returned to Adarian’s weird house. At this point this job had taken her a good few hours to complete and she was ready for bed – it was the middle of the night after all. Adarian, who was pleased with her work seemed to actually be happy when he saw her bringing the grimoire, which was not like him at all. Nuala was really surprised to see him like that as she handed him the book. “It’s hard to believe he would leave something like this lying around. Even better that you actually ended up finding it! Here, have your money.” He said all those things and handed her a bag filled with jewels. Nuala didn’t need to count as he had always been right with those things. She thanked him and left the man be. Surely he would call upon her help again soon enough. [1.500+|1.500] EXIT |
